That happened a disturbing number of times while I was leveling NIN in the Vault.
This was before the HW dungeon EXP buffs, but across quite a few runs between Lv57 and 59 I was only outDPSed three times; once (simultaneously) by a SMN and SCH team, once by another SMN and a third time by a MCN.

It's distressing, because all I really did was DoT everyone with mutilate and weave the occasional Katon in between Death Blossoms.
I subsequently got it to 60, tested it in Alex Normal- didn't like the playstyle, and went back to SCH
