Since people were in an arcane talking mood at the end of last thread:
I just got past ludwig on ng+ im still going through the dlc. But I'm liking the HMS. But Im thinking of doing a brand new arcane character with HMS and Kos parasite as weapons.
How would I start, how fast should I try to get through the dlc and would the cane be an alright starting weapon? im bored of the cleaver/axe.
>finished the game almost tree times now and I still have no idea what the fuck is going on story-wise
what an annoying voice and manner to speak in.
a shit ton is speculation but just watch the vaati videos to get an idea of the lore. either that or find an easier place to find a comprehensive list of all the lore notes and draw your own conclusions.
behold! a paleblood sky!
>Patches can appear in chalice dungeons on extremely rare occasions to sell you items at drastically inflated prices
>There is an extremely rare enemy that can only be encountered in chalice dungeons called a Hole Digger. It resembles a naked mole rat with a mangled squid for a face, and has an 8% chance to drop heavy blood gems
I will never discover everything this game has to offer.
Well, first thing you need to understand is a lot of stuff is intentionally left up to speculation and interpretation. There are some definite events and things, but how to string them together can be up to you. You're just thrust into this mess balls deep, you can't be expected to understand the full depth of what's been going on the whole time. In fact, I doubt anyone in-game actually knows the full story. We're dealing with stuff beyond the human ken here, too, part of that idea is you can't possibly comprehend the full breadth of the events.
I shouldn't bother responding to you, but jesus christ you fucking self-absorbed retard, you post that dumb-ass lackluster gif every fucking thread.
Get some original content or get the fuck out.
preferably the second you colossal faggot
>suck cocks in duels with all STR weapons except MLG, Pizza and Axe
Feels bad and bored.
There's 2 or 3 tiers of coldblood above Great One Coldblood. The highest known, Revered Great One Coldblood, gives 100k souls and has yet to be actually discovered ingame.
There's also a 3rd tier to the Guidance rune introduced in the dlc that exists only in chalice dungeons and has yet to be discovered. We'd still question if it even exists were it not for the guide confirming it.
kos only benefits from arcane. pure arcane builds have stuff like the beginning weapons + parasite of kos now. a good HMS build could obviously use kos, but it'd be terribly weak.
if you still want to do it, look at the arcane beginners guide posted around the thread. if you're going HMS, then you'll have some STR and maybe you can use whirligig saw to get through bosses (gem it up).
Attire has stats and looks
The stat differences are small and largely arbitrary, they're mainly just there for show
The main purpose of clothes is just fashion, so wear whatever looks best.
The only stats tied to clothes that matter are beasthood and frenzy. The former only matters if you use beast pellets regularly, and the latter only matters in like 2 areas in the game. In both cases, insight and runes have a much larger impact on that stat than your attire.
>and has yet to be actually discovered ingame
>There's also a 3rd tier to the Guidance rune introduced in the dlc that exists only in chalice dungeons and has yet to be discovered.
Attire means very very little. It's mostly just for being stylish, except for a few stats.
For instance. Charred Hunter set has great fire resistance. Black and White Church garb has good poison resistances. Ashen Hunter set has incredibly useful Frenzy resistance. Henryk's Hunter set has good Bolt resistance. The Cainhurst set supposedly has the best physical resistance in the game, but that's basically pointless.
Keep Ashen and Black/White Church around because it has tangible effects, equip when needs be, everything else is pure Fashionborne.
Higher insight reduces beasthood (reducing the effectiveness of pellets) and reduces frenzy resistance. It has some subtle effects on the game, such as making you see a few things that aren't normally visible, and giving buffs/ new attacks to the church guys in cathedral ward.
It's primary use is as a currency. By the end of the game, you can buy blood rocks for 60 insight and chunks for 20
Who else hype for fightclub? Post your characters so we know who's who
i know im generic but I love WHEEL
Loran is for waning gems. Only arc builds want waning gems. Arcane itself is better off with a triangle gem instead of a waning one, and fire can go either waning or triangle. Only bolt actually requires a waning gem to be optimal.
So unless you're an arcane build with the intent of using bolt, you have no real reason to access lower loran root frc dungeons.
The only other thing of interest in them is the tier 3 stamina rune, but clearing all of lower loran and killing camerabeast just for that one rune is kinda pointless when you can make do with the 2nd tier for only a 5% difference.
You can put them right on a usb drive or upload them to Twitter/Facebook.
If you choose the latter, replace large with orig at the end of the image url to get the full size image.
Get a usb drive, put it in ps4 and go to your screenshots, import them, then upload here :)
i didnt mean it like that, I was just trying to get everyones look
ITS FIGHT CLUB NIGGA

EUSTACE REPORTING IN
FOUND ME MALLET
is that faggot lucy is going to attend FC? If so i can't wait to beat the fuck out of that repulsive tranny.
>people making fun of my wheel
Y-YOU'LL SEE, JUST WAIT TILL FIGHTCLUB!
is level 90 good enough? i know its 80-120
Stop using your shitty ass phone to take pictures jesus
Amy arm is pure strength. The arc damage is token, just like the BoM and BB. Probably just there so you can't buff and double-dip the flat bonus on the R2s.
HMS is strength-leaning quality. The arcane is its weakest scaling stat, but gets a large modifier in tricked mode, making it as efficient as skill in that mode only. The projectiles are pure arc damage and based off your arc AR, but the actual swing portion of the R2 acts as a normal split damage swing.
If you want to optimize for most of the attacks, 50/25 str/skl is probably best but without any arcane the tricked R2s will be useless. You can compromise skl for arc to make the R2s worthwhile, but the untricked form will lose a fair bit of damage.
Ideally you want all 3 but you can't really fit them all onto a build at a reasonable level, so just choose which you want to compromise.
And remember, regardless of how you build it, you want triple nourishing gems for best overall damage.
My first FC was a few weeks ago and I had about a ~60% winrate using dlc brain gems. I fought more people using gems as bad as mine than I did people using top korea. I've spent some time in Seoul since then, but I'm sure there's still gonna be plenty of people that aren't perfectly gemmed.
>Trying to get to the Blood Rock
>At 99 Insight
Now this is fucking majestic
>Fight a guy in Mensis with 27ns doing 230 damage per hit with Saif
For pthumeru ihyll? You and me both, bruv.
IVE GOT PRETTY SHIT GEMS, I DONT CARE
CANT SMASH A VILEBLOOD WITHOUT ME MALLET
thanks to the guy who suggested sweaty clothes, i went and got them and they look much better
Few things feel worse than playing perfectly, hitting someone about 7 times and having them down to about half HP, only to get phantomhit by the unzip of Kim Jong Un himself and lose 90% of yours.
I remember my first every fight in the fc was some australian with a flat arc wheel. It was that moment when I learned the importance of gems.
>I hope you're not implying that he's unfair in any way.
He's a gigantic chore who seemed to be designed by "XD, so hard prepare to die LMAO!" people. You have no breathing room at all, and he's incredibly hard to punish if you have a slow weapon. That would be fine if not for the giant HP pool which doesn't match it at all, and turns it into a laborious endurance match just like most chalice/DLC bosses. This trend of making all bosses have HP bars the size of the universe is cancerous and makes me lose faith in the future of the souls series.
They don't even have that much health if you are fighting them at a proper level with a properly upgraded weapon. The usually last around 3 minutes, which I consider to be about right for a boss fight.
The only boss fight I consider overly tedious these days is the Chalice Rom fight.
I enjoyed it. If you're having difficulties, use poison knives and regular knives to bait out his running attacks and punish them.
AR means attack rating. Check the stats screen and it'll give you a readout of the aggregate damage types as a single number that go into your weapons' damage calculations. It should be something like 600 for a str wheel.
forgot pic, Im a retard
It sounds like you just have shit damage. By the time I fought both Abhorrent Beasts (you fight two relatively close to each other) I was doing good damage with my +10 kirkhammer. Not to mention, he has one of the easiest movesets to memorize and his damage isn't large enough to give you trouble unless you stupidly attack him head on. Also, saying most chalice bosses are endurance matches is laughable, get some better fucking equipment and git gud. The only consistently difficult bosses in the game are Gehrman, Orphan, and cursed/defiled chalice bosses.
New [first week] to Bloodborne and read the pastebin on Chalice Dungeons
which doesn't make a whole lot of sense to a noob, but, I'll figure it out, put those spoons awayand I had just one question:
What level do you want to be when you start all this? Weapon +9 or +10? I saw the screenshots had a BL98 guy doing them. Are they easy at that point?
>Arc is for fags and pretty boys anyway
I will fight you.
From behind several spiders
Could you stop trying to troll unless you are going to out some actually effort into it.
Ad hominems are so passe.
You should be doing them at the same time as the main game. Just do them until they get too tough then go back to the main game. At level 98 with a +9 weapon, you will just cruise through them.
The first chalice is accessible after blood-starved beast and balanced for that point in the game (eg., +2-+3 weapon). They progress in difficulty from there progressively. Lower pthumeru is around endgame (eg. +7 or 8 weapon) and everything from Loran onwards is effectively postgame content and will be more difficult than anyuthing you encounter in the main game (dlc notwithstanding)
98 is the PvP meta around here
The final end-tier chalices were balanced around 120, but by the time you get to them you should have acquired enough skill to do them by 98. Honestly though, since that's just PvP meta, you shouldn't worry about that until you want to become a minmaxed munchkin
Chalices are confusing as fuck to get into, and the overall opinion of them can be kind of polarizing. Just worry about playing through the main story first before you bother with this shit
Doing the story chalices after you're OP and high level is boredom central.
You do the chalices the SECOND you unlock the ability to do so. You do them as you go through the main game and unlock the materials to go further. That way you break them up instead of a gigantic slog through them in one sitting.
I also have a question:
I did 2 chalice dungeons which were piss easy, how do I know how difficult dungeon I'm creating? can I just make a really difficult one to get the gems I want?
>HMS scales the same off both
This is wrong. Please do your research before pounding that keyboard. All of the relevant information to educate yourself is in the OP. There's no reason to make a fool of yourself in ignorance like this.
How did these get up there? Is it from the floor above?
>still being this horrible at giving advices for years
It just that trannys don't have enough intelligence to give advice since they only think of all kinds of dick to suck while being sexually retarded
Why do /bbg/ has Demon Souls in such a high regard?
I played it after BB and it has aged horribly, the framerate is bad, the ambiance is bad except for tower of latria, bosses are dull the combat is clunky, pvp is broken.
Explain, with out redirecting this post to /dsg/
>it's another thread full of retarded faggots who give the autistic tripfag more attention
I thought we were passed this for like a whole day but then it got even worse
did bloodborne go FTP in brazil or something because this thread is nothing but illiterate retards parroting dumb shit
It's what Dark Souls should have been; git gud or go home. The amount of fucking handholding in Dark Souls 2, especially in PvP, is unforgivable.
>Sprint back to bonfire, summon people to play the game for you
>Or join the covenant that automatically summons phantoms to help you when you get invaded and shows the invaders location to the phantom
>Or do both because you're a faggot
Nothing we say is going to convince you
It's pretty blatant from your tone that you've already made up your mind, so there's no point in even having this conversation
You're just here to stir shit like a tremendous faggot
Because after PtDE, the majority of the souls fanbase had never touched a ps3 before, making the people who had played DeS a very small minority. As a minority, they could claim hipster credit by namedropping DeS, and insist that it's the best game in the series and vastly superior to multiplatform plebsouls without needing to worry about pc and xbox players ever actually checking it out for themselves and realizing it was elitist fiction and special snowflake groupthink.
This isn't really the best place to ask, because most of the same insecure hipsters desperate for distinction who insist that DeS was the best game in the franchise are, unsurprisingly, ps4 and BB owners.
Being a console exclusive automatically allows for the claim that a game is better than similar multiplatform titles, for the simple reason that the majority can't actually play the game in question and confirm that you're full of shit.
Newfriends are here in full force, it's only been three or four weeks since Christmas.
>anon asked earlier if he should upgrade his weapon to +9 or +10
This is my evidence.
That's either because you played it after DaS or the fact that it is literally the easiest Souls game in the series.
BEAT THE FUCKEN ORPHAN
That second form is some of the scariest shit I've ever seen. But the first first form gave me much more trouble, I beat him first time seeing his second phase. Died around 40 times prior to that, but still.
Orphan placenta weapon DLC when?
Treat him like a beast boss. Dodge forward through his attacks, wail on his ass, and instead of fire, use bolt papaer and he'll go down like a chump. That attack where he drops you to one health is just him begging you to use the rally system on him.
Just watch out for that attack that stops you from using vials. He leaves these grey auras on the ground that trigger the effect if you walk into them I think. You can still pound away on him while he releases them though.
I actually want World Tendency, but attached to a REAL time of day system.
X Gate only opens at night. Y Door opens during early morning. Enemies change spawn and location and move all during the day and night.
Because everybody on /dsg/ agrees that Demon Souls aged poorly. I wanted to know what the opinion of the other souls general was, so far everybody is flipping their shit with out giving a decent argument.
Are there softbans in this game, does reloading saves from USB/Online fuck anything up?
I'd love day cycles in a soul games. Also changing weather
>it will never piss down rain in UCW
>keep getting invaded/invading Lillith
I can't believe I fucked up that unzip.
That's because this line of questioning doesn't belong here, and given your tone and subject matter, everybody assumes you were just trying to get attention. Demon's Souls is well regarded because there's nothing objectively wrong with it outside of the performance
and Dragon God. It's just a complete feeling game with no real weaknesses. I know this isn't a complete explanation, but that's because I want to participate in the FC real bad so I'm abandoning the thread.
Ask d3g or any other console game played online with local saves.
what's your build?
absolute shitters. demon's souls hasn't aged well, but it's the first title released in the series and its spiritual successor is unfinished and not as good in some aspects.
>tfw just lost 3 mil echoes on the research hall because i couldnt find which stair lead to where I died.
I had been in the place one time, i got all the way up without dying, turned the crank, went back down and died. Np I said, I'll just climb up again, lo and behold I couldnt find the part of the stairs where I died because everything had changed and it was my second time even seeing the area so I fucking lost like a scrub.
Im so effing salty right now.
Post stories where the game royally fucked you.
It's usually PC players that say that. If it doesn't pander to PC-petition race then "it's bad."
Dragon God was actually fun, and it was nice to get some payback on him after the tutorial. It was actually a better puzzle boss than BoC. It was certainly more fun than the Micolas Cage fight in BB.
I just assume the Orphan is just the shadow and the body he fights in is actually jacked from someone else.
You can get banned for false reporting.
Why do arcane guides recommend the threaded cane as a starting weapon? Especially since youll switch it out for the saw spear (if you're following the arcane guide in op), why not just go for the cleaver or axe to get the damage in the beginning?
You get the saw spear before Gascoigne anyway so it doesn't matter. You choose the cane so you don't have to buy it later. It saves you like 1200 BE at endgame so feel free to start with whatever you like, you'll be using saw spear forever anyawy
Also am I the only one that loves this Crowsteel X hunter fanart?
Anybody feel like carrying a weak-ass level 29 through Ludwig's fight? I"m trying to rush for his sword on a new character. Sitting outside his room now.
uh, how about "carrymeplz" sorry, lemme know when ur ringin and i'll ring
Carry me through Orphan please, pass is squid outside the fog gate
This post is what's given me the best understanding of it so far.
I'm trying to do it at Level 32 for the laser sword as well.
>tfw you don't want to ask for help because you might make a mistake and waste someone's time
I'd rather hide on the balcony and let the co-op and Valtr take care of him. So I'm trying the "git gud" strategy.
Depends on your weapon. You can catch him after dodges just by spamming R1 with ludwigs untransformed or saw cleaver, just be mindful of being parried.
When he 2hands you can just run up and fire in his face and you'll get the parry
>Oh anon, why don't you put that game down and spend some time with me instead~
>All these conflicting opinions about HMS
I'm getting really confused. The most I understand is that getting a lost version and nourishing gems is ideal, but as for what to spec for in stats throws me off.
lol worth a shot, I gotta run, Ill just try to get stronger for now. thanks for the help though!
>things that will never happen.jpg
Over leveled as fuck and using claw runes
>heal heal heal
>this fuckin retard is unparryble for unknow reason
Who is Galaxy here?
Keep your distance while he drains his own health away with the Chikage.
Don't get shot, he always sidesteps before shooting.
When he reaches 25% health he won't transform the Chikage anymore. Move in, don't get greedy. Throwables if you want to be safer.
But how do I actually finish him off? Once he drops below 30% he no longer uses the two handed mode, and when he's fighting one handed any random attack can result in a parry and one hit kill
>even in a fight club? you just can't wait 30 seconds?
Yes. No, how the fuck do I even know if you didn't go rub one out and let me hanging for 5 minutes?
Anyway, I don't do fightclubs but when coop host doesn't move I'll just wave twice, then drag the nearest mob to him to murder his sorry ass. I ringed to do coop not play, 'wait for his highness to wipe his ass' game.
Don't waste other people's time, don't expect them to wait indefinitely or to be able to predict it's just half a minute.
>trophies kill immersion
>have to travel back to the dream to fast travel, doubles loading screen time
>generally being unable to rest at the lantern to reset the enemies in the area for farming
>R2s were made less viable in an attempt to homogenize them as slow, wound up attacks to be used in stealth scenarios, combat becomes more simple
>bosses getting stronger at the end of the fight can be poorly executed, such that they aren't even a threat until they've lost two thirds of their health
>health regeneration for retaliating after taking a single hit means you mash on R1 whenever a weak opponent manages to hit you, and cleanly killing minor opponents is no longer encouraged
>fewer ambushes and beginner's traps, walking around in unfamiliar territory feels less scary than in Souls games
>because firearms cause stagger parrying is extremely low risk
>durability was changed to how it was in DaS1, DaS2 implementation was better because durability became a meaningful stat and not an occasional chore
>blood vials heal extremely quickly, disastrous for PVP and trivializing a lot of bosses who fail to aggro appropriately when you step back to heal
>weapon viability in PVE varies wildly
>quick stepping makes it more advantageous to play locked on which is less fun
>many bosses are large enough that it's hard to see exactly what moves they're telegraphing, leading you to wail on them and use blood vials when you get hit
Why is BloodBorne so well regarded? It's a little bit worse than base game DaS2, although I'll admit I haven't played the DLC
This. I've only fought 3 people with at least 1400 hp. The rest were like 800 - 900 hp.
If its an invasion or co op thats a different story, but no one asking you to wait 20 minutes while the host finishes masturbating, someone could be going through their menus or some shit. just cause they didn't move for 5 seconds doesn't make you any less of a faggot for killing someone afk in a FC.
Because most of that is bullshit, and the rest is a non-issue.
Some people just get bored and want to PvP with unfinished builds. I was doing that the other day in Mensis, invading with 30 vit. I did still win like 90% of my fights. (also managed to get one shotted by a HMLS since I tried to break his hyper armor)
Anyone care to help me get the church pick? I'm level 65 and having trouble at the hunter with ludwigs blade leading up Into the research lab. Wanted to get the pick asap because it looked fun. More time to learn it the earlier I can get it and all.
Blood Flask, 10 max uses, heals pretty much your whole bar, ability to sit at lamps to refresh the area, enemies no longer drop vials, no need to farm for it, bullets are renamed to just Quicksilver and it's treated more like a mana bar that recharges slowly and you get a burst back with visceral attacks, enemies drop chalice materials and more bloodgems instead
The Tower of Latria was the most atmospheric location in a Souls game. DeS was full of random drop offs and ambushes, making it feel especially scary on your first playthrough if you were new to the Souls series. It also made it feel like the game didn't give a shit about you, which was a unique experience. Tower Knight, Flame Lurker, Maneater, and Allant were all good bosses, although it did have a lot of dumb, gimmicky bosses. More locations were tedious and mediocre than good, but that's also true of Dark Souls. DeS is horribly overrated, and the weapon movesets are samey and boring, but it has its merits. It would have been better than DaS2 if DaS2 didn't have the DLC.
This honestly I love.
Quicksilver recharging means Arcane/Bullet builds aren't screwed over once they run out of shit and have to dip into their health just to keep doing stuff.
"Blood bullets" should be revised with their regen mana in mind to be like a stronger version of the mana to use for a period of time. Like you buff your mana with blood for say, the next use of gun/spell and it does more damage.
Or, when you've run dry on mana and you don't wanna wait for it to charge, you use the blood mana to get back like 25% of it.
FIGHT CLUBS BROKEN
EUSTACE IS NOT HAPPY
You aren't really arguing either. Someone pointed out that 80% of what you posted was just your opinion, and after stating your opinion, you proceed to state what you think is a fact based on opinion. Your post was just retarded, that's why people aren't taking you seriously.
Not good. Server down?
FC are serious business round dese parts. If there isn't a rule against it then expect it to be used, especially since a certain someone has been pushing the repeater's usefulness lately.
The argument didn't require anymore than vague dismissals since you didn't actually go into specifics of why any of those would make the game undeserving of its reception.
If you care to argue those points then I am game, but you'll need to start off with more than vague mentions of them.
Orphan of Kos is a fight that shows everything that Bloodborne did right; the music and how it changes for the second phase of the fight is top notch, the location is very atmospheric, the boss doesn't have any wonky hitboxes or bullshit moves, his attack pattern fucks you up at first but if you are good at observing him, you can get it down and it all boils down to reaction and timing.
I really liked all the other bosses, but this one might actually be the best.
You cut that gattling gun shit out right now Baltimore.
need someone for ihyll layer one, BL 110, pass is bbg27.
>It uses all the souls games mechanics
>But please, let's not use the real good part it perfected over Demon's Souls, let's go backwards with farming just for health!
Fuck off. No one in the history of ever likes bloodvial/bullet farming.
Arcane builds are nerfed into the dirt with the way bullets work. If it worked as a mana bar that recharged slowly, they'd be more fun and viable, videogames are about fun.
Bloodborne's beginning sucks as anew player because of the way it does bullets and vials. New players get caught in a trap of just running dry on vials, so they end up needing to farm vials, using vials while farming them. It goes round in circles and I've seen a few people just outright stop and return the game because of it. These same people enjoyed Dark Souls way more because it let them actually learn how to play the game by giving a lower, set amount of healing that is reliable and they can fail over and over without it being moronically tedious.
There is no reason Bloodborne needed to do health and quicksilver the way it did other than to draw out the game.
>tfw late again for fight club
I need to start waking up earlier.
Not to mention his fight gets really heart racing near the end
>Your fifth statement is also opinion driven.
Area before flamelurker was downright terrible, especially those tanky lava bugs. Weeb skeleton area with manta rays that shot shit at you was annoying and not fun, as it was essentially forced divide and conquer to keep them from rolling all over you. Valley of defilement was a lot of nothing with dumb bursts of difficulty, and the poison was only a fuck you. Area before the Searcher was better than the first part of that archstone but only a little bit. The only truly great PVE segments were Boletaria and Latria
Read the thread. Servers seems fucked.
It's fucked for me, using Bold Hunter's Mark and silencing blank isn't doing anything. Guess it's time for some pve
>needing to farm for vials or bullets
Jesus christ look at this assblasted autist right here. If you just spent your time gitting gud instead of complaining this wouldn't be a problem.
No you are not late. PSN seems to be fucking around. Also, lots of gatling using fucks too.
Heh, while I was typing this comment I lost connection and moved to title screen for the 3rd time in 10 mins.
It's back. Just fought Clint with no issues.
>you didn't actually go into specifics of why any of those would make the game undeserving of its reception
Why is it deserving of its reception? The only good boss from the base game was Gehrman. It's the only Souls type game I can think of where the environment was more important to the experience than the boss fights.
>heh GIT GUD xdXD
There is a real and quantifiable reason why Bloodborne even in it's height was a bore to watch on stream, and has fallen off a cliff.
It's ultimately a tedious game to play, and the multiplayer doesn't help it either.
I played over 1k hours of Demon's, Dark and even Dark 2 before playing Bloodborne, and the beginning of Bloodborne was a rough period. If I wasn't someone who was familiar with the games and knew what was coming and to expect, I would've just outright said "fuck this unfun shit" and left.
Again, absolutely ZERO reason for the vials and bullets to have been done the way they were apart from making an aspect of the game tedious and inflating play time.
Again. 10 max uses, recovers at lamps, Quicksilver is a mana bar that charges slowly, blood bullets buff 25% of the bar or refill 25% of the bar. Shooting a gun has a slight cooldown after it now to balance this out.
Cannon's, Arcane and bullet reliant builds are no longer unfun shit that requires annoying farming or killing self to refresh and ultimately end up farming more.
>The only good boss from the base game was Gehrman
You know this is completely and entirely your opinion right? Shit like Amelia's heal, and Ebrietas' hitboxes are bad, but that's not nearly enough to say
>lol all bosses are shit
If a boss being easy meant they are bad then DeS would have the worst bosses in the series.
Is the Clint Eastwood build fun outside of PvP?
I just want to go around Cawodoodying stuff.
>gives you the item to counter it on her doorstep
this is like the retards who don't realize to use the PUNGENT BLOOD COCKTAIL that lures BLOODTHIRSTY BEASTS on the BLOOD-STARVED BEAST and bitch about how he's too hard and his poison hurts (of which they give you a ton of antidotes leading up to him).
There are enemies that will drop guaranteed quicksilver bullets, and enemies that will drop two to four blood vials guaranteed in Yharnam. One run through Yharnam will not only give you resources, but the blood echoes to buy more of those resources. You're just bad, please leave.
I never said it was a perfect game, it isn't I just said it wasn't a Souls game. Which it isn't. The whole idea is they WANT you to heal. No, the farming isn't perfect, but enemies drop vials along the way regardless. You can rack up echoes and just buy them. You don't actually need to farm, it's merely an option.
The game was supposed to be different and should they get the chance to make a sequel, they can start fixing stuff that would streamline the experience. Just making it more like a Souls game isn't the answer, because this is supposed to be different. It was an experiment, basically, for what it is it came much better than it had any right to be.
I for one would prefer a different method altogether of having a syringe you can refill from certain enemies. Kill an enemy, take their blood, will you risk getting killed harvesting blood while there are other enemies around or try and finish them off smartly? Drastically reduces any farming unless you really, really are desperate.
>I played over 1k hours of Demon's
>lying on the internet
>Again, absolutely ZERO reason for the vials and bullets to have been done the way they were apart from making an aspect of the game tedious and inflating play time.
>Other than preventing you from cheesing everything with infinite parries and healing
>Moon grass was okay but Vials aren't
>bath messengers sell infinite amounts of vials and bullets for literally change echoes
If you can't afford a haul of vials after trudging around and killing a boss you should probably stop leveling so much
Oh boy, let's go back to the hub to instead of using my souls to level up, buy more heals! Load screens are F U N.
Stop being a fucking apoligist. It's less bad now, but on release with the horrible loading screens and everyone being new to the combat and the way the game worked, it was tedious unfun shit for at least the first few hours. But we all knew to push forward and get to the fun.
Alot of people played it and saw an annoying R1 spam farm simulator, not the best start to the game. Infact, I personally think Bloodborne has the weakest start out of the whole series, even Dark Souls 2.
If a boss is easily defeated, it probably is bad, unless it is particularly interesting. I would consider the Covetant Demon from DaS2 okay because he has some unique properties and interesting ideas put into him, like his grab that unequips everything on you and the fact that his roll attack can get him poisoned because of all the poison vases on the wall. He's hardly a great boss, though, because he's pretty easy to kill, so he doesn't force you to master his area and become intimate with his attack patterns.
He only became a threat at one third health. He represents a major problem with the boss design in the game. Still much better than the Vicar.
I laughed out loud.
>Just making it more like a Souls game isn't the answer
It's too bad that more than half of the people that have something bad to say about BB are convinced that this isn't the case.
I said it regenerates slowly you fucktard. Think Crescent weapon recharge rate for mana in Demon's.
You'd run dry on gun spam just as you do now, but it just seems in a minute you'll be able to shoot a few more bullets.
>Repater is really good, especially with BMA on low BLT builds.
Does it require very rare gems in order to do that?
I have basically no BLT at all, I was planning to upgrade the Cannon which I know is kinda shit, but it's pretty
funto blow shit up with it.
DON'T PRESS OK IF YOU GET THE SESSION LOST SCREEN, JUST KEEP STANDING THERE. If someone comes into your world you will have to press ok but if you invade an other world you can press it in their world and the game continues.
>Just making it more like a Souls game isn't the answer, because this is supposed to be different.
>let's make the mechanics of our game objectively worse than what we've done in the past because we feel like it
I guess that's why leveling up at bonfires disappeared after DaS1.
>m-m-muh monotone soulless waifu
>It's less bad now, but on release
Moving the goalposts, good. See, I know you're bad because you think that watching one loading screen and not leveling up (when that should always be your last priority when spending souls) is tedious. Again, fuck off.
Nah, just +9 or 10 it then drop the story gem in it. All you need is 8 BLT and a BMA. With just that, you can land like 1300+ damage on the defiled Watchdog, not to mention what it does in PvP.
Or you could learn to dodge, pick your engagements, lure enemies into areas more favorable to you, and generally play more passively until you're either good enough to play more aggressively or upgraded your weapons enough to just smear anything in your way against the ground in two swings.
Yes they would be, because here I am.
After 1k hours in Demon's (this was before Dark) Bloodborne pissed me off going backwards to it's method of farming for bullshit. I was well and truly over that, for good reason.
Bloodborne on release, with it's load screens and farming heavy focus, after coming from the 2 souls games previous was UN FUN SHIT.
Yet here I am in /bbg/. I love the game, but I fucking DETEST the start of it, less so now because I know what's going on and I can speedrun the start without dying, but I will forever have bad memories of the start of this game.
Maybe the Vicar is a great fight, but I killed her on my first try with little difficulty. Her attacks were mostly straightforward and she wasn't aggressive enough to stop you from healing when you took damage. It was satisfying to quickstep through her pound, but that was about it.
>Finally R34 of eldritch slug MILF
What a time to be alive.
Actually hold on let me post something productive.
Am I the only one who's bothered that all the Yharnamites are fucking xenophobic Ooop North hicks? What the fuck are they doing in a gothic city anyways. And why do they have farming tools.
>like 1300+ damage on the defiled Watchdog
I've seen that video, that shit's crazy.
Does it do similar damage against other things though? Now that I think about it, Defiled Watchdog is the example I usually see about how good BMA and Repeater are.
What the actual fuck is wrong with the servers. I know From has never, or ever will, make good net codes for their games, but jesus Christ is this disgusting. Waiting 6 minutes for an invasion theb it booting me to the title screen.
>can't get invasions
SONY, your "performance" update was shit
>I would consider the Covetant Demon from DaS2 okay
Hahahahahahahaha How The Fuck Is Covetous Demon Okay Hahahaha Nigga Just Walk Away From The Fatty Like Nigga Swing Your Weapon Haha
As someone who has killed Deerslut more times than I can count, there's something you should realize about her:
Half the fight is being threatened by her. That's it. You see her grotesque transformation, and her big, scary screams, and it's SUPPOSED to affect how you play/shake you up a little bit, just like with the Cleric Beast. Neither boss is hard, by any means since they do diddly dick for damage and are easily dodged and punished, but the first few attempts are, once again, SUPPOSED to be made harder by the fact that you are unnerved by them.
Ludwig is the next step of this where he's supposed to be unnerving and then also hard. Then he hits phase 2 and becomes awe-inspiring.
Please post webms of cooperation, I like seeing Hunters working together
I don't like farming for them either, but when you get to the end game, it's a complete non-issue. You buy hundreds of vials and bullets at a time and not put a dent in your blechoes.
You were most likely using a guide or over-leveled then. She wasn't even the only good boss in the vanilla game.
It usually only gets that ridiculous on bosses with weak heads. But the damage is still ridiculously good for just 8 blt. I mainly use it for those bosses and dogs.
how does it feel to know you are platinum shit at this game?
>i beat her on my first try with little difficulty
>basing your ENTIRE argument off of one playthrough, where you fought a boss one time
Way to completely deflate your entire argument.
>infinite healing and parrying
>respawning with a capped number of health items is "infinite" and "cheese"
>hurr hurr use your boss souls on vials
Motherfucker the time when you need to farm vials is when a boss has repeatedly torn your asshole apart and you have no echoes or vials left to fight it with.
The biggest problem with these things being shit you need to collect is that it fucks with newbies who die a lot even harder than these games normally do. As the other guy said:
>run out of vials
>go to farm vials
>use vials while farming/die because new
>still no vials
>return shit game
>posted this on /v/
>two guys called me a shitter for needing to summon and running out of vials when you can see 'beckoner' above the other guy
Oh thats good.
