>its fetishy and makes me uncomfortable
okay im starting to see the anger..
least it aint babynut. never post babynut.
Target Priority is my issue I think, and knowing when to do AoE vs Doing single target.
Wave 7ish, right after the double Widows.
Possibly, I do have Bard at 204 or so, so I could swap to that for AoE.
>crush is flirting with a literal chad in mumble
xth for is so damn cold here I need a hug!
just study it then, or ask someone who has studied to mark targets on the first runs
you should be able to weave some aoes in the first waves to make things faster without sacrificing too many tp
after that, only the one before the last requires some heavy aoe damage
but widows are waves 5 and 9
>no blonde hair, blue eye, busty, whm, midlander gf
>ywn suck this sylvari's toes, tits, and booty
Spoken like a true jealous cat. You have so much attention, why do you care that femroes get a little of it. Greedy bastard.
xth for not wanting to grind out crystals.
No shy frail midlander girl who is always worried to hold hands and comfort.
>always assuming it's cats and not skin cancer scalies.
>implying I'm a c@
>implying I'm craving for attention
>implying I just don't want to play in an environment free of those abominations
>don't have a single dol or doh past 30
>have more than enough money to pay for relic shit, even on my dead server
the doll wave is simple, you can't possibly wipe there, it's literally just attack the right doll and avoid some obvious aoes
widows are trickier, make sure you are doing soldiers right, the priority on those two waves for you is bring soldiers to half life (usually the caster does this)>left widow>new wave spawns>finish soldiers>hardhelm>walker>doll and right widow
Thats the thing. Either DPS is too low, or that wave entirely is just what kills us due to something going wrong. I'm not sure what it is but it feels like its too much.
Though we haven't tried in two weeks.. since we lost a tank to sub fees.
What's stopping you?
A lesson in what?
At 52, not much changes. You can get to 54 without ever touching Gauss Barrel, but you could use this time to learn how to STance Dance with the barrel. General rule of thumb is save Head Graze, Blank, Rapid Fire and Reassemble for Gauss Barrel, keep it off otherwise.
If you can get it in while Wildfiring, the better.
While this is relevant for level 60 since thats when you get your full kit, its the best damn guide for MCH.
Okay guys, should I level BLM next?
Or should I try a new class entirely starting from scratch more or less?
BLM is 50. Everything else on the list is like 20 or lower.
>not playing MCH
>not getting gud at it.
No, because I don't lie and then when the lie gets to big flee the scene.
it's nothing to do with lying, recently my friends just feel annoying and i feel obligated to interact with them even when I don't really want to. Some of them are shitters but I don't want to deal with telling them and having them get all mad at me.
This is why Hyur Midlander is the master race. Nobody picks a fight with them because they're the very image of perfection, and they're the largest populating race in Eorzea.
Elezen are pretty master race, too.
This is why I couldn't seriously entertain the idea of getting close to anyone on this board. You *could* open up a dialog whenever an issue appears with somebody, but no, you choose to burrow your head in the sand and hope everything blows over, or at the very least nobody sees you.
Quite frankly any relationship that ends up taking root in this thread ends up a car crash waiting to happen because someone will inevitably let neurosis and insecurity plague their mind.
I just used to make multiple characters on MMOs and go play on something else if I wanted to get away for a while.
Now I don't even bother with relationships because it turns out I don't really enjoy them.
>fight is literally just dodging AoEs
>decent heal check
>weak DPS check
>people manage to fuck it up
>people manage to stand in AoEs
>people running their AoEs into other players
>people standing in Volknut
>"mark the gungnirs so we can see them when they spawn"
>mark the big fucking spears that anyone with eyeballs can see
Unreal. The absolute dog shit that comprises this player base is fucking unreal.
>being so bland of a race that you cant really be insulted
its a mixed feel
>muted animations, facial expression emotes are weak
>literally humans in a fantasy race
>not at least in the /slightest/ bland
And yet its the same thing there as it is on the OF.
Sure, OF is a cesspool at times but that guide is the best one there is, there's literally no change elsewhere until someone changes up the MCH meta.
>only played by vanilla erpers
>thirsty fucks like ippiki trying to find a fraulein or ironic memelords trying to be ugly on purpose like zani and pedro
truly, the best race
something something midland
There is a small Auto Shot meta for Wildfires but the difference is like.. 300 damage or so.
I usually keep my Gauss on 100% of the time myself, but at 52? Gauss isn't that big of an increase since you don't have Gauss Round.
what do you mean weak
males have pretty okay emotes while females are very energetic
it really doesn't matter if there are humans in a fantasy race. these other fantasy races are based off of humans as well, and it doesn't mean that humans aren't welcome either
third worse or fourth probably
highlanders with males only using that on face with the stubble and females using only 2 faces
lalas pretty much look the same too
Top male: Plainsfolks
Bottom male: Dunesfolks.
Top female: Dunesfolks.
Bottom female: Plainsfolks.
>Sell all your drops you dont currently need while leveling
>Overcome with regret when you dont have super good leveling gear when you finally level that job you never said you would level
Now that I'm actually doing it, I can see why people complain that having to do all of 2.X before Heavensward is a pain in the arse. It's longer than I remember and 80% of it is fetch-questing.
by the way i didn't sell the old gear, i discarded it
but im not spending money on gear that's just lame
i only have 3.7m anyway
mine brought back a behemoth horn once
>tfw thirsy and ugly at the same time.
I have one character for each playstyle, really. One tank, one healer/caster, one melee DPS, and one ranged DPS. The last one is one I just kind of futz around on, haven't made up my mind what to do with it yet.
But I'm a roleplayer, and I like having different characters with different personalities to RP.
i don't see how you think their emotes are weak, or are you comparing it to other races with their emotional or overdone emotes?
not even humans irl would act frequently like midlanders in emotes would, it looks ridiculous.
Ah, right. I'm doing similar. Tank didn't suit my miqo'te so I made a highlander for it.
I'm doing it with two of my RL friends who I recruited, so it's nice to go through with them as they see things for the first time at least!
>in small FC as the only elezen
>everyone else are miqo'te
>always get the "You're so tall :3" from FC leader whenever we meet up
You get used to it.
No, it stopped being called CT the instant that there were two separate instances within CT.
This is also why when you say "Coil" people assume that you're talking about all of it, from T1 to T13, rather than thinking you're a retard that says "Coil" to specifically mean T1-T5, instead of specifying Binding Coil/Second Coil/Final Coil.
It doesn't matter what the players call it when it's officially called Labyrinth of the Ancients.
Heck, what you said could mean that I could call the entire Black Shroud the city-state of Gridania.
Except your example is completely backwards. People call it Crystal Tower because Labyrinth, Syrcus Tower, and World of Darkness (entrance to anyway) are all section of a single structure know as the Crystal Tower. People simply refer to the first portion as the full structure, not the raid name. Gridania is only a portion of the Black Shroud, backwards in case of a comparison example.
Is it still confusing how people refer to it? Sure. Are they wrong? Technically, no.
idk boss you tell me
If you ask someone if they wanna run CT or Coil like 99% of people are still going to ask you what section. They're not going to assume you mean a specific section. They might think you mean all of it, but I have never heard someone refer to the first section simply as CT.
>Game still boring as all fuck
>Thread still absolute dogshit
have u ever given up on life
Savage is ok
are u implying that limbal rings arent just eye tattoos that you can take off at the will of a gay elf man with scissors???
yeah nah it is pretty dumb
What definition of "flop" are we using? The one where people who think the game is inherently shit and have literally not stopped bitching about it in two years think that the patch sucks, or the one where people who like the game and enjoyed 2.x but just think that 3.x has sucked so far are disappointed again?
Each boss in Midas will do different elemental damage. The entire party will be required to meld elemental materia to clear while undergeared, and the last boss will have 2 elements to fuck up the tanks.
If the game gets a second patch cycle where the actual fanbase hates the game as much as they have during 3.0/3.1, then it's pretty much done. It won't die overnight or anything, but it'll pretty much get locked into a slow descent and be pretty much irrelevant before there's ever a 5.0.
> no money
> auction house not changing that any time soon
> fc somehow convinced themselves we can buy a non-small plot with 5 people when none of us are already rich
I see no happy ending here.
Hinterlands is a pretty comfy zone.
>They removed the useful 1.0 materia and left us with the ones that are useless.
It's obviously made for females.
Every zone so far is atrocious when flying or seeing a birds eye view of it, even ARR zones.
SE doesn't really care about the zones, which is actually true considering that the open world content is also awful and barely any of it relevant.
>Know someone saving up for a small house
>They save up over 6 mil
>A 'deal they can't refuse' shows up
>It's just some glamour piece
>They're back down to 500k in a single purchase
These people will never get enough for a house.
Are you trying to tell me i'm futa?
The problems with PLD are like 70% that the current content in the game sucks for PLD and 30% that the class itself actually has problems, so they're probably a little smarter than a lot of the playerbase on that one.
Except their DPS is much lower, their single target threat is lower, their AoE threat is lower, and even when it comes to non-magic mitigation most of their other skills are entirely impractical.
Content tailored to a class doesn't make it relevant. Dark knights aren't better because they can block magic hits. Dark knights are better because they deal more damage.
90% class issue, 10% content balance.
No one gave a shit that you were less optimized as paladin on Ramuh.
The favor-item helm for tanks... adamantite barbut of fending. Think it 'usually' sold for around 9-10m so they figured 6m was a great deal.
Hell looks like it's about 3.2m on the marketplace right now. Woulda figured it'd be much lower.
>Dark knights aren't better because they can block magic hits
A3S drainage and A4S say hi
The guy's being dumb, there weren't many magic hits in ARR
Off the top of my head
>T2 ADS autoattacks
>T7 Prosector attacks
>T10 Wild Charge
>T11 ADS autoattacks + nerve cloud
>T13 Akh Morn/Gigaflare/Flare Breath
That's all I can remember. Pretty fucking short compared to almost every tank buster in savage.
Probably why the 3.2m one on the marketplace hasn't sold, then.
But yeah, some people as soon as they get some gil they wanna spend it. Nice for the economy I s'pose but it's kinda disappointing when you can tell they're working so much towards getting a home but they give up only 1/4 of the way in.
What's there not to understand. Dark Mind reduces damage from magic. Shields do not.
That's where the 10% comes in.
Damage is favored above all else when configuring, and even if paladin had more stops to pull out it wouldn't be taken over a dark knight at that discrepancy.
Why did they make all the DPS pretty much the same shit in HW?
All now have a bullshit buff to keep track off, then you have some jobs which have pointless skill slots like DRG needing 2 skills that do the exact same fucking thing with the positional only being the different.
WHAT THE FUCK
DRK's MP management is so simple that you can't even consider it a mechanic. Spam Delirium combo until you have enough MP for DA, use DA on Souleater/Carve and Split, and pop every off-GCD when it's available.
Because there wasn't a 3rd tank and people didn't want to use WAR for MT progression since it took slightly more knowledge of the fight to know when to use IB, on top of WAR being better suited for OT because it didn't run out of TP as fast as an OT PLD.
>WAR being better suited for OT because it didn't run out of TP as fast as an OT PLD.
That's wrong. WAR OT had no way to save TP besides Berserk, and used more TP because of Fracture. They ran out at around the same time when WAR wasn't in Defiance. PLD also did more DPS as OT, and WAR did more as MT.
The problem is on two fronts.
PLD takes more damage from certain hits/has to use more serious cooldowns than DRK(less healer DPS).
PLD does less DPS than DRK.
If PLD had the tools to mitigate the shit out of Savage it would still be viable, but it's just not.
Not when your MP bounces up and down from regen/drain constantly. Trying to time MP ticks for one last Souleater or CnS, then repopping Darkside is a skill not found in the other tanks, but that's trying to play it 100% optimal, not basic competency.
Gotta make the futa RPers feel at home when they get married!
Well if you want a house you could either find someone willing to sell for 8-18m or save up a bit more.
Or keep saving, I guess. I'm sitting at about 75m right now (I'd have about 175m if I didn't RMT the rest) but just kinda lazily putting stuff on the marketplace. Already got a house, 2 airships, and like you I don't care much about glamour (I can craft it anyway).
It is kinda fun to toss ~200-300k at someone and make their day, though.
>Well if you want a house
I don't anymore, thanks to 3.1! I was saving up for Coerthas housing, I still have plenty of time to make the other twenty-seven million but..
>It is kinda fun to toss ~200-300k at someone and make their day, though.
I do this occasionally. I like to play a game that the Sprout doesn't know they're playing, and they get the gil if they "win". One time I would've given someone a million but they didn't do what I wanted.
AST is currently better than WHM, as it brings more party-wide support and utility
Main problem is people play it wrong and the current fights don't cater to it's strenghts, same as for PLD
And you are reading into words too literally.
Content balance revolves around how valid each job is in their position. Obviously things have to be favorable for all three tanks, or balance is broken. In this case it's a "magic abundance" that people cite but that's hardly the problem.
Were you to tailor the next tier to be purely physical, paladin would still be absent from initial clear groups.
>pull 2 groups in ARR HM dungeon because lol who even single pulls in these faceroll content
>healer threw out only one heal, then enter "i'm afk kick me please" mode
all dow doh dol jobs at 60, nearly full eso with some alexn accessories, already has anima relic and starting on second one according to lodestone
all that grind and yet still hasn't even touch a1s, and too lazy to do more than alt tab netflix afk heal, and surprise surprise he's from lol Coeurl.
Life must be every exciting on those bumfuck servers, with everyone being eso welfare queen.
I stand near them and stare at them. If they start moving I'll likely follow them for however long I still care to until they look at me. Looking at me is "winning" and I immediately open up trade. It's usually characters I like the look of or I like what their name references, sometimes if they're the one to look at me first.
>Craft a bunch of stuff
>1 or 2 items short of making another
>Toss the leftovers
I wonder how much gil I've thrown away doing this. Hell, same with fish.
Sounds like a fun game, anon. I approve.
>Were you to tailor the next tier to be purely physical, paladin would still be absent from initial clear groups.
No, it would not be. Gordias is an aberration; in every other raid tier this game has ever had, the common thread between groups that succeed at early progression is a strong focus on defense and survivability, over simply maximizing DPS*. The only reason that Gordias was any different is that the DPS checks were so grossly overtuned that it was literally impossible to clear without absolutely maximizing DPS until we were several months in.
Since the devs have already stated that the design of Midas will be closer to SCoB and FCoB than to Gordias, it's highly likely that a defense-first strategy (which will likely include using a Paladin for some or all of the fights) will be best for initial clear groups and early progression. Paladin's lack of damage will probably be less of a handicap than Dark Knight's lack of ability to deal with strong/frequent physical tankbusters.
And the common thread between people who spoke very authoritatively about the best way to do progression, only to be a total no-show when it came to actual ranking clear times is that they would spend the last two months of the previous raid cycle talking about how tanking was all about DPS and you should be out of your tank stands 90% of the time, etc etc.
That's not nice.
What are you talking about? My purity is still intact.
Sorry anon, I'm getting lazy.
>My purity is still intact.
Not for long.
There's something soothing about sitting out in the rain in the evening.
>Even considering helping the weekly attention whore that manages to create a character on Balmung
Are you new or just silly? We have stupid sluts attention whoring and benching it up all the fucking time.
Gordias NM should have been put out in 3.2, Midas NM should have been put out in 3.4, and whatever the third tier of Alexander is called should have its NM put out in 3.55 right before they release 4.0.
You should stay Au Ra.
She's a cutie.
>impossible to find people to do i110 savage scob when i130 gear was out
kill me senpai
>mommy bought me cherry pepsi
blegh!! i'm gonna tear up her family photo albums
I do not lie.
Pls don't taint me
Yes, it certainly would be.
Groups succeeded early on by threading the needle with what can reliably negate variance (a hit point threshold). This is no different in Gordias, except for the focus on damage above all else in the checks you mentioned.
And what even is this "defense-first" strategy? When tanks are so similar in effect. You wouldn't have seen much difference with a warrior main tanking Favors or Flattens back in the day, early on, given proper cooldown management.
The strongest influence to come in 3.2 will be VIT calculations that serve to lighten the intensity in which paladin underperforms. It won't fix shit, but it'll blur the lines.
The real reason Alexander failed is because SE even fucking admitted they never tested the fights in one rull run, they only ever practice/tested them in segments with probably highest ilvl and full health.
This is bad design and even if they claim they aren't the best players, they shouldn't release something like this if you can't test it by running the entire fight without cheating.
When are you feeding me titles, daddy
daddy I'm hungry
Can you handle it? Alchemy exists.
I'm debating it but these things are...fluid..with me.
No. Just transfer to Balmung and you can rp with x100 highlanders.
Any chance you have the uncensored version of this one?
>not a whore already
step up senpai
For the same reason that Diadem shouldn't have been handing out i210 gear like candy, except from a story standpoint instead of a gear standpoint: Because ALL players should be incentivized to participate in the real version of the content, and alternate methods to achieve the same rewards should be given out later.
I was a sad, sad man before i stared playing XIV my man
She's one of the cuter characters you have/10.
So, I'm tempted to keep this helmet. But the sky pirate helmet fits the look so well.
No, they succeeded early on by being as defensive as it was possible to be while still beating DPS checks. That's why they went with full-VIT Paladins instead of giving up a tiny bit of VIT to meld a ton of STR, that's why those Paladins melded Parry and even DEX to their gear instead of Crit, that's why those full-VIT Paladins stayed in Shield Oath the entire time despite there being plenty of windows to switch to Sword Oath in between heavy hits. That's why the DPS all gave up 20 iLevels of their main stat across their entire right side even though it was entirely possible to survive the entire raid tier in normal i110 gear that maximizes damage.
If it mattered that we "wouldn't have seen much difference" if only they'd done things the way that you, personally, think is best, then we would have actually seen those things done. Progression is about reality, not people making hypothetical arguments on message boards, and not a single group that mattered behaved anywhere near the way you're describing.
People made the exact arguments you're making right now in the lead-up to Final Coil, right down to "Nobody's EVER going to let a Paladin MT because you get optimal DPS out of a Warrior MT and Paladin OT!" Then, as if by magic, none of that shit actually happened.
it's snowing outside
wanna come play in the snow with me?
Something like that.
I really like her, kinda disappointed i was bullied into going elezen last time i played her. Also the couerl helmet sucks in comparison.
Yeah it sort of does.
I'm at an rp event though. Masquerade ball, so it works for now.
But I'd totally stare into those purple eyes.
They're pretty hypnotic.
A Rage of Halone combo in Sword Oath is 2050 enmity potency (that's 150*1 for Fast Blade, 200*3 for Savage Blade, and 260*5 for Rage of Halone).
A Power Slash combo without Grit is 2955 enmity potency (that's 150*1 for Hard Slash, 220*3.5 for Spinning Slash, and 300*5.5 for Power Slash, all of which is multiplied by 1.15 because of Darkside).
Paladin can keep up with that for about one combo, if they use Shield Swipe and Circle of Scorn along with it. After that, those skills are on cooldown, and DRK is pulling farther and farther ahead with every combo.
I heard it used to be a massive ERP prostitution ring, but moderators cracked down on it.
Speaking of which, with Courtesan's Coven failing, I hear, I hope someone picks up the mama-san mantle and runs a better whore ring.
>tfw about to enter a3s for the first ever time, as WAR, with brand new static you're trialing in
Except DRKs claim they use Power Slash once or twice, drop Grit, and never use it again. How are they generating so much more enmity than PLD over the fight if their DPS isn't much higher and they use no more enmity attacks at all?
Would this game be good to roleplay a merchant?
Given these pros and cons:
>second highest MMORPG population
>Gold is actually worth something to players (need confirmation here)
>Good crafting system
>Is the RP just random ERPING or Pornshire 2.0?
>not a fan of the aesthetics
>it costs money on subscriptions
TL;DR: want to roleplay a merchant, is it a good game to do so and spend a worthy chunk of time doing so? Or does no one give a shit/i'll also be forced to play the actual game constantly?
Just picked the game up for the first time last night but I can't decide on a server. Gilgamesh and Balmung are the largest NA ones right? Which ones on Aether are right behind them in population?
