At 52, not much changes. You can get to 54 without ever touching Gauss Barrel, but you could use this time to learn how to STance Dance with the barrel. General rule of thumb is save Head Graze, Blank, Rapid Fire and Reassemble for Gauss Barrel, keep it off otherwise.

If you can get it in while Wildfiring, the better.

While this is relevant for level 60 since thats when you get your full kit, its the best damn guide for MCH.

People call it Crystal Tower because Labyrinth, Syrcus Tower, and World of Darkness (entrance to anyway) are all section of a single structure know as the Crystal Tower. People simply refer to the first portion as the full structure, not the raid name. Gridania is only a portion of the Black Shroud, backwards in case of a comparison example.

Is it still confusing how people refer to it? Sure. Are they wrong? Technically, no.
