Yo guys, my friend is pressuring me into going to a local HS tournament on Monday.
I'm bad at the game and don't play it often. I've got a tempo mage deck, and a midrange druid deck, because they were cheap for me to craft.
What other deck can I make? You need 3 different classes. I want to play warrior and have around 4k dust, but not enough for p2w warrior. I've got all the wings and stuff from the raids, no cards from the new packs though.
What's the current meta? What are the top decks?
>literal last card in the deck
How mad was he, /hsg/?
>1/30 by turn 6
>go to hearthstone offical forum
>go to paladin sub-forum
>100% of thread are either:
>"nerf MC now !"
>"how to improve secretladin ?"
Por el perro de la luna, donde esta la tortilla, ayy macarena ?!!
>usual grinding to rank 5
Well, I guess that's what too much oil does to you.
I've been using eloise's list to great effect.
Murloc Paladin is bullshit
Unless you happen to be full face aggro, you just lose because he is decked in full on attrition with doomsayers and healing and YOU CANNOT STOP THE COMBO
Those decks have the same problem shadow form decks always have: they lack card draw and are heavily dependent on a good opener as a result.
They can win against anything if the opener is good but that doesn't happen often enough.
What's the best deck to climb comfortably from rank 4 to legend? I'm playing druid now and it's okay but the game gives me nothing but zoolocks and tempo mages
I feel like worgen patron is more bullshit, though I'm not sure of it's popularity currently compared to anyfin.
The card draw is way better and the healing is better, it's even built-in to the class on top of shit like shield block and armorsmith. They can abuse the fuck out of acolyte and they have 2 mana sprint, they have better weapons and to top it all off, they have patron (which is already hard enough for most decks to deal with).
Not really, considering anyfin has to draw, play, and kill all 5 of it's murlocs for it to get really powerful. They're also running crap like doomsayer without the ability to freeze.
Like... patron worgen can actually win before turn 10, anyfin usually doesn't even play the card on turn 10 even if it's in hand. Even worse you NEED to find and kill the warleaders, if you draw the chargers without the warleaders they're weak as fuck.
>Play Ethereal Conjurer
>Duplicate dupes my Conjurer
>Play Conjurer again
>Discover Duplicate again
I N F I N I T E V A L U E
Yeah but it's just generally inconsistent and slow. I mean yeah they CAN construct a really powerful curve, but they can also draw a bunch of garbage especially since a lot of the stuff in their deck is really expensive.
Meanwhile patron worgen literally tops out with three 5-mana cards (loatheb and patrons) and has something like 12 or so 2-mana cards. You can just outright win the game against shit like zoo or combo druid with turn 4 bite turn 5 patron inner rage. You don't have to wait forever to draw both of your fucking 10 mana cards to win, and anyfin loses a lot specifically because it has to wait so long to do shit unless it gets an amazing hand.
Also you just can 't compare lay on hands or solemn vigil to battle rage and acolyte with a million activators and shield block and inventor (which also has synergy with rage). Patron still has the same insane synergy and card draw potential it always did before the nerf, it's just that now warsong has been swapped out for single copies of the worgen combo (worgen/task/rampage/charge).
I mean don't get me wrong anyfin is a fine meme deck but other paladin decks are going to be more consistent over the course of a lot of games and it's just outclassed by patron warrior (either grom or worgen versions). It's fun and viable but ultimately mediocre because it's so slow and needs a lot of things to go right over a lot of turns. Patron can start fucking your shit up with weapons, cycling through it's deck, and gaining armor from the get-go, it doesn't have to wait to do ridiculous combo shenanigans.
from 11k to 207 viewers
Its too epic
>Just by having paladin class cards, they can construct really powerful curve that is hard to beat
You either run powerful curve based on paladin class cards, or you run Doomsayer, Wild Pyro, Acolyte of Pain and all these murlocs, extra draw and heals.
You need to cut at least 10 cards that are never used in paladin decks while Warrior just adds Worgen and Charge, because all the other cards he needs to use to activate Worgen he runs anyway because they are staple in most Warrior decks.
Variety of dust did I unpack, /hsg/?
Token and Truesilver or uldaman
Justicar or Sylvanas
Equality+Consecration if you're somehow losing the board
For less than 6 mana but still really solid t6 play you can Quartermaster especially if you played 2-drop plus Muster on t5 and they survived, or Token + Truesilver/Uldaman, or Coghammer something because you usually have a solid board on t6.
Is he a keeper?
I just love how the blue completely ignored this part. I hope you have your wallets ready, goyims.
What's in the box, GvG edition
>que into nothing but tempo mages, zoolocks, and the occasional perfect curve secret paladins
>play cancer paladin
>que into nothing but aggro shamans or control priests
>que into nothing but reno faggots or control priests
>reno faggots and priests again
can't win in this game
I don't have Imp Gang Bosses yet or a second Sea Giant
Is this the best I can build without them?
What if arena cost 50 gold but guaranteed pack would only be at 5 or 7 wins? That way a new player could escape the cancer of constructed since no cards while still being able to do several arenas a day and actually play the game and if good enough get a free pack out of it as well.
Cut darkbombs, coils and 1 owl and add 2 neurubian eggs (Why aren't you playing them in the first place, son?), the golems and a dire wolf alpha. Golems will later be subbed for IGB. Also you could try subbing 1 or both shredders for Dark Iron dwarves or a second dire wolf alpha
because you get a legendary card 5% of the time
to go over 40 packs without one has a .05% chance of happening
People that understand math know this, and you idiots choose to ignore contrary facts
>play counterspell on turn 9 agsinst murcunt paladin
>he plays anyfin and it gets countered
>I spam greetings
> mfw literally topdecks another anyfin on his next turn
>I die to 30 damage combo
Balanced game is fun and interactive.
you're retarded m8
if it's a flat 5% as you claim like a retard then the odds of not getting one in 40+ packs are 12.85% (0.95^40 since apparently you barely know what percentages are let alone able to calculate them)
over a sample size of 15,000 packs openings you'd expect about 40 cases of that happening which curiously enough is roughly the amount of times there was a gap of 39 packs
You're sitting alone at a bar, drinking quietly. It's raining outside.
A stranger sitting next to you takes a ship of his whiskey and tells you this:
"You know, Entomb is a better Mind Control worth 4 mana less."
How do you respond?
But it has happened multiple times, faggots just choose to ignore it for some reason. I dont know if they work for Blizzard, sounds like a rumor they would start to get people to spend money
>You are guaranteed a legend card after 40 packs
I remember when you were guaranteed one after 20 packs
It's actually fucking laughable how bad Hearthstone has become and how much more people from reddit play the game, I wonder if there is a correlation. Seems like it because they are all so pathetic and strive to ruin everything.
Either way, DEAD GAME.
>But it has happened multiple times
show me at least one case
preferably since TGT or later because all the reliable data is from that point onwards and for all we know this may not have been in the game before that
all I'm asking is a single instance
that would be enough to make the entire argument collapse entirely and disappear
there are hundreds if not thousands of unpackings on youtube and twitch - curious *not a single one* includes a gap of more than 40 packs between legos when it should happen in more than 10% of cases
Heres more proof you can ignore
>I bought 100 classic packs during the winterveil sale. I got 5 legendaries, so no complaints. However, I had a stretch if 42 packs without a legendary.
I opened one with 87 packs remaining. The next one was with 45 packs remaining. I was starting to get upset with my luck around then. Fortunately, I opened 3 more after that point.
>I have no proof.
Ironic shitposting is still shitposting. Enjoy your ban
>I'll believe every single one of these guys the very instance I see only 1 with proof
No you wont, because you already choose to ignore everything presented to you except for a minute sample size that "'proves" a meaningless theory
You are more likely to get a legendary in 40 packs than you are not to, thats all it is.
And people that dont get legendary cards tend not to keep track or record it for neckbeard virgins such as yourself
>bwaaa, i got a more than average amount of dust in my pack
>No you wont
nice claim there
I'm making a very big statement
The claim is that you can't open more than 40 or more packs (of the same set!) without opening a legendary
Disproving it is very easy, since I'm claiming it cannot happen a definite disproval would be only a single case of it happening
However for some reason despite hundreds or thousands of unpackings being recorded not a single one of them breaks the rule so everything points to it being true
except of course for ebin
:^)le blizzard is jews meme so I ignore all evidence
>Have Ragnaros, Kel'Thuzad, and a deathlord on the board
>His Gromash keep bumping in my deathlord
>Kel'Thuzad raise the deathlord again and again, forever
>Ragnaros kill every minions summoned by the deathlord, or I take care of them with spells
>Gromash bump into the deathlord forever
>He concedes with 30hp
This is beautiful.
>get solid early game stuff
>no late game just constant that 5/5 turtle
>no biggie maybe scrape out a couple wins
>go against 2 mech decks that could have competed in constructed
>turn 1 cogmaster
>turn 2 mechwarper into clockwork gnome
>proceeds to play on perfect curve
>Drop a Fel Reaver on the board since i have control
>He copies it with Faceless
>I play 3 cards, destroy Ysera, Rafaam, and Loatheb
>He already had played Cairne
I fucking dodged a bullet there holy shit.
It happens, I've gotten Boom + Sylvanas before and drawn them on curve in at least one match that run. Just random chance. I probably get a legendary every 4 or 5 runs(I'm pseudo infinite, and I play probably two runs daily).
help me make this deck beat mages
>i can't escape 18
Alright, everyone show off their Lightforge key.
where are your
imp gang bosses
and why in the goddamn fuck are you playing curse of rafaam
>no power overwhelming
>2 soulfires and 2 doomguards
please do get your eyes checked
and yourself while you're at it
too lazy to take a new screenshot
oh okay this shit 'aint nearly as bad
2 discard effects is real iffy, you could look into replacing Soulfires with Dark Bombs and even then they're not fantastic. A single Mortal Coil is good enough
you still need eggs, you've got plenty of activators in Defender, Abusive, Void Terror, and Power Overwhelming
2 Owls is a bit much imo, and Wrathguard isn't that great
you're missing high value cards like Void Caller and Imp Gang Boss and stuff that allows you to have big tempo swings like Lotheb
I find that eggs are KEY to zoo. We all know thew good 'ol Power Overwhelming + Void Terror combo on eggs, but sometimes you're just not going to have those exact cards available to you so you have to make the best tempo plays available to you. As an example I would routinely do plays like t1 Voidwalker > t2 egg > t3 void terror on the egg. While it's not super-optimal-max-value-cumbuckets, it's still a 4/4 and a 3/5 for your turn 3 play. Clear the board when necessary and ALWAYS try and keep saturating your mana
If your opponent happens to have good answers or shits of you with some timely taunts/heals then that's just the name of the game. It's good to play around stuff that'll fuck your tight boipussy like Flamestrike/Consecrate ect... but Zoo is a deck that is highly reliant on powerful plays and utilizing its strong board presence to finish the game with surprise burst
What evidence? And has he really stopped it for good, and now he's going to stay in the 200-300 viewer range, if even that?
Like... I thought the whole problem was that they couldn't do shit to stop him because "it might not be him, someone else might be viewbotting him instead of massan viewbotting himself" or some shit? That's what I remember hearing about the issue at least, idk what changed or if new evidence came out specifically damning massan.
Play Face hunter then. In ladder I've had generally 60-70% winrate, but something crazy like 80-90% vs paladins.
Last night in a tournament I played Leeroy turn 5 to set up hero power lethal on the next turn, his knife juggler actually fucking killed Leeroy and I still won next turn. You can literally spend your turn 5 giving paladin 2 1/1s and passing, and still consistently win you're that favored.
listen you fucking mongoloid the reason you can't combo with eggs is because they're NOT IN YOUR FUCKING DECK
you've got the best activators for them out of all the classes in warlock, and even if you dump one on the board on t2 or whatever and don't have a way to crack it open it still serves as insurance against board clears. It's a sticky minion that has been in every iteration of Zoo, and you're an absolute fool for not including them
do like this guy>>128778379 says and google "zoolock." Pick out whichever decklist you think is best. Otherwise drop the Soulfires and the second Owl, the Wrathguards and Harvest Golems in favor of Lotheb, Imp Gangbang Bros, a second Void Terror, a single Mortal Coil, and some FUCKING EGGS
At the highest levels of play, you have to analyze and critically examine a lot. Whether it's chess, sports, whatever. I understand on 4chan that opening a spreadsheet is synonymous with autism, but if you want to be better than everyone else, sometimes you have to review some footage.
Yes, there are inspire shadow priests on ladder now, here's one defeating kibler at rank 5. He got his ass handed to him so hard he and several HS members copycatted the decklist
>When your deathlord health is out of control and they can't topdeck removal / silence
>fighting a paladin
>actually enjoying it, fun back and forth, seems like a kind of nifty token deck that's a bit creative
>turn 6 niggerfaggot Ray Mysterio
Every. Goddamn. Time.
Dancing Blades is best.
Argus is extremely good but I'm unsure of picking up another 4 drop.
So, so far this deck is doing halfway decent and is fun as hell. But I thought I'd throw it to hsg and see if I could get some tips or advice on it.
why people want to reach rank5? are the higher ranks inaccessible?
kinda new to the game
Can someone help me do this quest? Arrowfiend#1969, NA servers. Thanks.
rank 5 is when you get real prizes at the end of the season. It's also where winstreak ends and the real games begin. Ranks 25 to 5 account for MAYBE half of the grinding it takes to get to legend, ranks 5 to legend are hell.
I could see an argument for argus or kodo there, to be honest. I mean, he's a paladin, so he should in theory always have some dudes to pop the buff down on.
>ranks 5 to legend are hell.
>tfw only frostborn
am I the only one in this thread with that feel?
people who have a rank 5 chest get better rewards than people with rank 15 chests
specifically, I think getting to rank 5 guarantees a golden epic once the season ends, plus additional goodies
I just started playing the Backrock campaign.
Will I ruin my fun if I create counter decks?
I couldn't beat the first battle with my standard decks. I made one full of big creatures and won it in like four, five turns.
which one, /hsg/? consecration or argent protector?
im not the greatest at arena
Watch arena streamers and play a lot more of it. I think that right now arena is at the hardest that it has ever been, mainly because the players have tools at their disposition to help them draft better decks.
An average deck can still net you a pretty good run, but your skill and luck are matter more than ever considering how many crazy decks you'll be facing at any given time in the arena.
Why is the hearthstone community so obsessed with e-celbs and streamers?
If you check any hearthstone forum for 3 mins its "XY did that", "Cy talks about how AX did that".
Where do people get the time and energy from, to talk about this stuff for several days?
Pick the best cards you can. You can look up some arena cards tierlists, but remember to have a good amount of early drops. Sometimes it's better to pick Bloodfen Raptor than a card with bigger value, but more useless if you don't have early game.
Arena is heavily tempo based. Even if you manage to get some solid midrange minions, high-damage spells or even good legendaries, you will still lose to somebody playing 1,2,3,4 shitters every turn unless can do that as well.
It is pretty stupid and I wish it wasnt so. When people are allowed to generate income when they dont produce utilty you know the system is broken. I know that entertainment has value, but just being "lol so random xD" shouldnt net someone a living
HS isn't a game with a lot of complexity or a lot of viable strategies in the meta due to how refined the Aggro/Combo decks are, and how little people like to talk about control decks (in part due to them being wildly unpopular in a community that hates long games), which do actually change a few cards around here and there.
This is made worse by the fact the HS team makes new cards only a few times a year, and the card sets are ridiculously small compared to proper card games.
So the only thing to discuss is the little drama people can drum up, or nothing at all.
This is part of the reason why all non-mtg card games eventually fail hard.
Yugioh being an exception, and it got to be an exception for simulating magic in the best way.
It made a whole lot of different broken as shit combos and strategies for every single deck type you can imagine, and didn't actually start balancing shit out until much later.
Ha, I don't know a single one of those names. I feel better about myself.
Where the fuck do you think you are?
I don't know how to feel. 3 games now, each one with one of the combo pieces on the bottom of the library, literal last card.
But I've also won all 3 and now streaked to 13, so idk. I'm just getting real sick of your shit, hearthstone. Luckily patron is broken as shit as far as cycling through the entire deck goes, but this literal-last-card shit is getting on my nerves... even though I'm winning.
Playing on eu atm. 100% chance of facing cancer paladin. Even decided to autocreate a deck just to see if the broken as fuck matchmaking would face me up against ANYTHING ELSE. 12 games in a row and counting with 7 won. Why the fuck are paladins so boring and overpowered that everone fucking plays one? Id take 20 aggro shaman in a row just to face something else...
>12 worth of mana in 1, 6 mana card
Whoever allowed MC to pass should be executed
If it weren't for patron this would've became the most cancerous deck the second tgt came out
>this is what amerifats actually believe
>join reddit tournament with friend
>doesn't even use reddit
>got far enough so that maches will be streamed
>most played class in the game
>has the biggest variety of viable decks in the game. Including an otk combo
>secret paladin fucking plays itself
Oh fuck off you "Well Met" spamming nigger
>has the biggest variety of viable decks in the game
Kek what? It's just secret paladin and OTK murlocs. Warlock has shitton of different decks. Zoo, reno, dragons, combo, etc.
>9 games winning streak with that failed deck
Eyy I'm in luck today.
How many wins do you think? First 3 games were really easy for some reason. Taking a break right now, will come back to it later.
>has the biggest variety of viable decks in the game. Including an otk combo
What ? People are stupid, you can make a shitload of viable decks and hit legend with them no matter the class.
You netdecker skill-less sheeps are the worst. You netdeck like pigs and complain about the lack of variety.
t. Megaxbulzorg 4 times legend on EU, two time on Asia, 8 time on NA, never used a netdeck
How many wins, I have no sap/assassinate which is kind of shit
We're in the P R E S E N C E of a pro player guys
>Managed to save 820 gold
>must no buy pack
4500+ to go and I will be allowed to open pack again.
This is not XDD, not XDDD at all.
>tfw a game you were playing finishes with empty fields for both players and empty decks, with fatigue knocking us both down with your opponent losing in the end
Thank god i had a little bit more health than him
s-shut up, don't make me think about all the stuff I need because each time I feed the jew I get 40 dust in return.
I need 4 wings of MBR and all of LoE.
When will the next expansion come out ?

combo is worgen, charge, rampage, inner rage or cruel taskmaster for 22 damage. 2 inner rage would be 26 and 2 inner rage and cruel task would be 30. you usually don't need all 6 cards because you should be able to deal some damage throughout the game.
If you wanted any Anon' to support that dude ya just blew it. I already hate him now.
>lose 24 hp because of tapping like a moron
>lol who cares, now I can play muh giants and sunfury
>a paladin deck surely won't full board wipe on turn 6
I wanted ooga and the game gave me booga, bad game.
A friend told me to download this game.
I created an account and said I'm from EU.
I did the tutorial which took 30 minutes and when I exited the game I noticed it said that the region was America.
I changed it to EU and now I have to do the fucking tutorial again.
What the fuck.
Can I skip it?
reminder that this happened today
>Watch and Learn now grants the spectatee a free pack
Yes / No?
Its something you kinda had to be following, the basic principle is there is this streamer named Massan who gets a lot of viewers but low amount of chat and people accused him of making 'viewbots' that can log into Twitch for him appearing like he has a lot of fans.
You can google it because its kind of interesting, lots of streamers got together and are trying to crack the case.
I think if its true hes going to get permabanned from Twitch but for some reason its not a big enough deal for them to get involved. Like who knows how many viewers across the whole of Twitch are bots? Kripp could use bots too but his chat looks legit so nobody will question it.
Hey, I was rooting for you though!
Sorry didn't mean to be rude, I guess I just assume people in tournaments have all the cards, keep trying!
Can you believe you never had Ysera silenced? haha wow, really great game 2 there thought you did well to keep yourself in striking distance and hiding your cards. You bluffed that guy into a poor play I thought with the trap.
Nice tournament, really showed a lot of skills and went to 5 games!
Who gives a shit about some noname streamer when even successfull companies resort to viewbotting so their shitty game stays ahead of their competitor on Twitch?
What do I change on this Warrior?
>this month packs
FFS I dont have like 50% of ACTUALLY GOOD USABLE classic rares like azure drake, or Savannah HiMane
However i saved like 8k dust by opening top tier classic legos this month, so I guess I have nothing to bitch about.
>being at less than 20 hp against druid and expecting to survive
You have no excuse.
>10 FUCKING WINS
a) nobody cares
b) presenting last years news as some hot shit
c) nobody cares
d) youre either shilling or falling for something that doesnt and will never affect youre life ergo wasting time on shit thats neither interesting, nor fun nor relevant in any scale or scope
>I play patron warrior with worgen combo
>tfw 1 hp and a dream
>I top decked a sludge belcher the turn before he got a charge minion
>He was so mad he just roped every turn.
Do post-LoE Secret Paladins even use double Coghammer anymore?
Anyway, go with that if you're planning to grind the ladder, it's not gonna be fun for you or your opponent, otherwise pick Grom.
chillmaw isn't necessary. go with classic. and get that ysera. here's a pic for luck.
Why are aggro cuckolds always so salty with the game?
Is raptor rogue a viable deck or is it just a meme?
I just played like 5 games in casual mode and I lost them all against ridiculous decks.
This is like the worst deck ever. Its just too slow and retarded.
Yeah I tried it to. You run out of steam to fast and you can't rush fast for kills so it's a pretty shit deck.
Thanks my man I hope RNG is kind to me on my pack opening.
What are you even talking about?
