They even have a gallery. The canvas art pieces are up for order too, apparently.
So you a character's story before moving onto the next in Odin Sphere then? On chapter 6 of Gwendolyn.
I'm guessing the other stuff below the big flowchart is added content in the remake?
Man, the art is so good.
Wasn't that just a rumor? Besides I'm sure they could still extract enough assets out of the thing one way or another. To begin with an upgraded remake like the new Odin Sphere wouldn't really require them to have the source code if they wanted to.
Was never really a fan.
That's not how it works. The most recent example of this would be Square Enix and the KH1 remake on PS3. They lost the source code for that game so the team had to essentially study the game to make it as close to it as possible.
I don't know. Shit happens.
Was it? Well, if it's just a rumor than disregard my statement
I think this would work decent on Vita thanks to the touch screen.
I confess, I didn't understand the story of GG at all. I would love to play a remake to give it another round.
>Any info on Trails of Cold Steel?
>As a note, the numbers in December for ToCS might seem depressingly low, because it launched all of three days before Christmas and only had nine days to sell in the month. The combined December + January result would be more illuminating concerning its performance, doubly so because this month is when the hype really started to roll in on the media sites and word of mouth began to spread on places like GAF.
Tell me /Vitagen/ how do you feel about 3ds' ease of piracy while the Vita continues to have, well..... none.
I'll buy a vita when it gets hacked, meaning probably
>being a 14yo edgelord
>not supporting grorious nip devs
I don't care, I get to pirate and enjoy all of the 3DS's library while spending money on Vita games.
This results in them bringing more Vita games over while being forced to bring 3DS games over in the hopes that userbase trumps mass piracy.
In the end we all win from more games.
Ask homebrew. I can finally feel as decent person buying games first time since... well, ever. If I could pirate games I would, at least I care about Vita enough to support it even though it's not so cheap piece of hardware.
Too many baits in this thread
Tell me what are you playing
XBlaze: Lost Memories
It is still early in the game, so I didn't take any screenshots yet.
I hope there is more Kuon in this game.
Dariusburst and Valkyrie Drive. Both are surprisingly great. I was worried darius would be too small, but the chronicle mode is perfect. I was worried valkyrie drive would be a shit anime fanservice game, but it's even better than senran kagura.
I love my vita.
Maybe after I finish all of the serie's games. Get triggered.
yeah, it would probably suck if you don't know japanese.
but anon, legend of dragoon is already a ps1 classic. Perhaps you didn't find it because you searched for 'dragoons' instead of 'dragoon?'
Sony hasn't put out PS1 classics in a long time, it's a low priority for them.
PS2 classics for PS4 is a weekly for one game it seems.
You just have to wait and see what PS1 classics that might get brought over.
This wouldn't happen if we had accounts.
What would I have to gain by lying, anon?
fucking hell, its shitposting time
long time witout seening you
Aside from the cruel anguish that is Neptral Tower, Nep U is pretty fun to kill time. Lily Rank Banter/Talks are cutesy much like the entire game's dialogue which is also cute.
I never understood vitagens hatred towards neps. Sure theres a nepgen but its all waifuposting and crap there
>inb4 someone on nepgen gets triggered
Because the games are genuinely shit, aren't vita exclusive (sharing a series with PC tards is automatic grounds for hatred) and people waifu shitpost here instead of nepgen like they should.
Hey vitagen! I have a challenge for you. Try and beat my time in Umihara Kawase original, stage 42->43.
If you can, everyone (including myself) should try and beat that time too.
I haven't actually practiced at all, this is just what I have from doing survival runs. So this time (a whole minute) should be easy to beat.
Wow. This game is more lewd than I had anticipated. The combat is complete shit, and yet I still enjoy the action segments?
Alright, last 2 days.
What's the best time to post the collage on Monday?
Anyone actually tested how much Wifi and Airplane mode actually affects the battery?
I feel like a fool turning it off and on all the time
>What are the Pros and Cons releasing a game physically?
>There isn’t really any cons outside of the expense – which isn’t even really a con once the game has sold out and made that expense back. The pros are too many to count. When a game is in a physical format it gets to live on forever whereas it’s digital contemporaries will eventually be lost to time and forgotten. Collectors will continue to buy, sell, and trade our releases – keeping them fresh in gamers’ minds for years to come. As a developer, it gives your game a legacy – it preserves it for future generations. I believe that is very important.
>digital contemporaries will eventually be lost to time and forgotten.
But the Patriots said digital information lasts virtually forever, it doesn't deteriorate.
My two cents is that by the time we can no longer access PSN to redownload our games, we'll have devices to just emulate them on our phones or direct feed them into our brainwaves or something
But if you pay full price for a DDL game, you are a tool
Trophies in MGF are kinda silly, you need to play for 24 hours and collect 500000 coins for a platinum all while the most complicated rhythm-related one is "fill a bingo" which is piss easy. I mean I'm in process of filling every bingo anyway, but grinding for cash is kinda stupid.
Rhythm games are the only genre where I do in fact care about them since they usually set a decent stopping point for a game that can be played endlessly.
>game is in a physical format it gets to live on forever
I've never heard anything so stupid in my life.
Tell that to the NES carts dying in mass.
If anything digital formats are saving games. Every classic, every rom hack, literally everything will be saved on a server somewhere eventually, and unless there is a massive emp burst over every civilized nation in the world that stuff will be around forever.
Can we just agree that neither physical and digital can stand the test of time. One way or another its both going to die.
PSN isn't sony. It's not gonna be around in 30 years.
Also, you're already getting locked out of ps2 game you already bought if you want to play them on ps4 so they'll have no incentive to salvage those versions.
>Could you make any new contract which >especially Vita owners can be excited about?
We talked to a lot of developers with Vita games – we’re specifically trying to lock down games that are on both PS4 and Vita so we can release the two platforms simultaneously. I wish I could name the specific game but we’ve got two games possibly coming out for Vita that were highly requested. One of them has a huge file size on Vita, so I expect our fans will be super happy to hear about our plans.
What could this game be /vitagen/?
>huge file size on Vita
This makes me think of Atelier, possibly Ayesha, but they said that Ray Gigant is "unlikely" because they're not big enough so I'm not sure KT would ever allow that.
Any indie/doujin game that's huge?
Hello, has somebody here played this game and is it fun ?
Let's say you're mainly attracted to the art-style and the fact that it's a fast paced beat'em up game.
>Do you own a PS Vita by yourself? If so, what is your favourite game?
>Douglas: I own one, and I would have to say my favorite game is Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus.
PolishVita gamesite game is already confirmed for english and physical Vita release http://mypsvita.pl/libra-of-the-vampire-princess-otrzyma-angielskie-napisy-oraz-fizyczne-wydanie/
hey lads, yurup fag here.
I'm looking at these two version of Cold Steel on Amazon.co.uk
The second one must be the american version, since I can order it, but what is up with that cover?
Did anyone in this general get that second cover?
with love and all kinds of other gud stuff
If I could watch Japanese television I would watch anime on that to support them.
That's a problem of no choice.
They lock 720 behind a paywall when the Japanese can watch it for free in 720.
The NISA cover is the japanese cover but I think they're gonna use the XSEED one in the final art.
The cover is reversible so on the other side you'll get the jap cover, hopwfully nisa does the same.
I'm close to just pulling the trigger and get it. I can't wait
Is there DLC for the game that i will miss out on? Do you think I can transfer my save from an american version to an european version of cold steel II? (if that will even be a thing)
We're almost there, just 2 weeks left.
>Is there DLC for the game that i will miss out on?
>Do you think I can transfer my save from an american version to an european version of cold steel II? (if that will even be a thing)
I don't know if that's a thing but no, 99.9% not.
Default cover the first one is the reversible cover. they did this with EDF2 too.
'It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.' - 10:25
$150 tier here.
I'll never get over their monkey faces.
>e-mail NISA about combining two orders into one
>send another ticket asking about combining two orders
>suddenly get a tracking number for one of my orders
>still no response
Gave them $80 myself
I don't know about the quality of the game. The studio themselves only have done a couple of VNs too it seems. I gave them $5 for now. If they can make it, It'll be whatever the Vita tier is.
What a retarded thing to say. It's more likely that your vita or your game will stop working than it is for Sony to die. Not to mention the fact that the game will still be preserved after Sony dies. Who the fuck archives things in physical format, what a fucking idiot.
Yes. Going to loan it out to a bunch of people too.
All the fucking americans are spoiling the game in all threads on /v/ by talking about it in past tense.
It is incredibly annoying, and I have been waiting for it since summer.
I kind of wanted to back it cause I really like the girls and designs, but its just too gorey and fucked up for me to handle. Don't play that corpse party shit either.
This is the worst I can go.
It's not even that bad, plus the vita version will have the gory bits darkened out or changed if the ps3 version is anything to go by and now that I think about there's not that many anyway's.
Weekend music time? Pic unrelated
my new wallpaper though
I imported the american version of Trails of Cold Steel a month ago and I'm playing it on my european account right now. Does this fuck with my transfer save to Trails of Cold Steel II? Do I have to get the american version of that too, or are the saves region free?
I hope I didn't fuck up too bad here.
Not Vita related music, but this song is amazing:
I'm thinking of making a set of trillion Wallpapers later (if anybody has nice pics post 'em please).
>Anyone playing or played Bullet Girls? Got it recently and I'm finding it more enjoyable than SKSV. So far Shop-chan best girl.
I played the 1 hour trial a few months ago, it was ok. SV is kinda bad, especially after playing Valkyrie Drive.
It's not worth getting a console for one game, unless it's an all-time favourite. I have over 20 games for my 3DS and I'm cool with it. If it's just for Stellar Glow, might as well wait to find a cheap used one, and prioritize the Vita.
>>game is in a physical format it gets to live on forever
>I've never heard anything so stupid in my life.
>Tell that to the NES carts dying in mass.
I've been saying this for years. Digital is the way to go with the vita if you are honestly worried about your data, collecting is a separate issue. Also, considering you can back up your own games, your games are as safe as you want them to be. I have my games on my secondary drive, I have a back up in a separate location and I pay for a cloud storage solution. In order for me to lose my games Sony has to die, my SSD need to die, my back up needs to die, and the server farm that has my data needs to die all in the same day.
For physical fags, all they have to so is misplace their cart or have their bag stolen.
which is more likely?
>For physical fags, all they have to so is misplace their cart or have their bag stolen.
I've taken care of my 20 year old games just fine.
Why would you carry around an entire collection in a single bag anyway
Anybody playing nuclear throne? Are the controls bearable? I don't want to play it on PC.
It only takes one mistake, you can take that risk with your data if you want. A house fire, a flood, a move residence and misplace a box, then bam it's all gone. If you a "Collector" that's one thing, your a collector it's what you do. If you care more about being able to play the games you own in 20 years than having nice plastic boxes then digital with backups is the way to go.
>Don't forget niggers. They'll steal all your anime games or smash them.
This happened to my friend and his psp in college. He put his bag down on top of the table we were eating at and some random black guy snatched it and ran. Took his psp and and couple of games. They mostly are going for text books/laptops to resell them.
I know it's going to be at least twice current JP price. I was hoping somebody playing it can tell how moon heavy / import friendly is this game. I remember NEXT being easy to play and navigate - just mindless, fun wreckage
Damn, you guys weren't kidding when you said that SK BA is a shit rhythm game.
There's 11 songs, most of them are shopping mall music-tier. Some of the textures (specifically underwear) are literally the same as in the first 3DS game. not to mention, they didn't even bother making proper textures for Mirai's chest, resulting in fucked up looking costumes.
I should've listened. I feel ripped off, even though I paid like 6 euro.
Maybe when a new thread has started? It'll catch everyone's eye when they first enter the thread.
>In order for me to lose my games Sony has to die, my SSD need to die, my back up needs to die, and the server farm that has my data needs to die all in the same day.
Once PSN or your account is down, all it takes is for your memory card to kick the bucket.
You can't restore backups if your Vita doesn't have your PSN on it.
PSN info is not saved on the memory card, this is why you have to restore system to switch psns. If they were stored on the memory card all you would have to do is swap memory cards to change psns.
>NISA order with E&L and OA:NTL LE is already shipped
I guess I have to finish Ayesha soon.
There you might have a point, but seeing as all 3 of my psp are still fine and I have 2 vitas plus a pstv, I think I will be fine. Say what you will about sony but they make good solid hardware.
How is wanting to be able to transfer my games without an internet connection tantamount to piracy?
I just want to be able to transfer things in case of an outtage because fucking comcast.
Probably was me. I put some picture together, so I don't have a link to that specific gallery. I'll make a new one in a few if anybody is interested...
Sorry, I've been
playing vita gamesa lot recently.
Not that Anon but I just made a gallery yesterday with everything I saved and made.
Took a while, but finally Imgur did the job. I've also added some not butt related stuff, I hope you'll have fun:
R8 and H8.
Currently play: Nuclear Throne. So dope having that game in my pocket.
>Currently play: Nuclear Throne.
How are the controls?
Fuck I don't have the sen ii ones on my phone and I haven't seen an image for all the sen i dlc costumes put together (but you can see them in the US ps store). I'll post the sen ii ones within an hour once I get home.
I finally updated mine yesterday since I got Persona 4 Golden. I might polish it but I'm feeling lazy.
not sure if want though.
I can't really get them anyway
Thankfully I really like the default costumes in both games. I heard there are some unlockable costumes too, so I don't really feel like I am missing out on much
Treasure Hunter Souffle. As always, treasure hunters are well prepared for everything. At least when looking their costumes. This is the default costume for Souffle, and it does its job quite fine. Leather seems to be the main ingredient for this costume. She even has some on her hat. The weapon seems to be scrimitar of some kind, it does fit her well. Nice costume and great choice for default costume.
I like the school uniforms from Sen I, but these are pretty good. I like having something to look forward to like this.
I literally rather play any other version of Gradius than the fucking NES port. Literally every decent NES game can be played elsewhere by now, usually with better performance or other perks.
is it possible to finish S;G0 without a guide?
Missing Sen and DBFC, think I'll update once I'll get my E&L LE
Currently playing Demon Gaze, missing last two trophies for the plat
>this is the power of a 64gb memory card
my 16gb is good enough
my 16gb is good enough
my 16gb is good enough
my 16gb is good enFUUUUUUUCK
If you think about it, when I was messing with my PSP some 6-8 years ago I had 16gbs in it using an adapter and two micro SD cards.
For probably about the price of a 16gb vita card now.
It is pretty fucking bad how much Sony fucked us over.
Sure preventing piracy is fine and all, but charging out the ass and fucking over their consumers and then killing off the console?
I love my vita but Sony fucked us over in multiple ways for no real benefits.
>No one has cracked it yet so all those expensive anti-piracy measure worked.
The PSP getting cracked had literally nothing to do with the memory stick. Piracy is just an excuse
definitely not as much as 32 and 64.
Think about it - all of the cards are the same exact physical size and were developed at the same exact time. The larger the capacity, the more crammed the insides are, and the bigger the number of components that can potentially fail.
Whenever I see anyone post here about their memory card getting corrupted, it's always either 64 or 32 gig one.
All those anit-piracy measures that the Vita has are there to win back Publishers after the PSP was completely ripped open to piracy.
If it was just because Sony wanted to be anti-consumer then the PS4 would be just as locked down.
>We made our shit super expensive just to fuck the consumer over, and by extention, ourselves.
>tfw if the Vita did have piracy 3rd parties would have jumped ship a long time ago and we really would have a dead console with no games.
Okay I'm home, I'll be starting with the dlc costumes for Sen II since it's three images.
>We made our shit super expensive just to fuck the consumer over, and by extention, ourselves
I hope I dont have to explain how companies have benefited from forcing consumers to buy their own overpriced proprietary hardware when more generic ones would work just as well. Its worked out great for companies plenty of times
It's Sony. Just look at PS Move, and the PS camera. PS VR will just past by like the vita did, especially if the pprice is the same as the Oculus Shit.
I am starting to invest on a good tablet, I lost my faith on vidya console after the vita.
Okay now moving onto Sen I dlc costumes (not including the hug along stuff).
Cat ears not included, buyable from the pawn shop in the town for 20 U-materials each.
Bunny ears and tail are only available through a $1 dlc purchase.
I had some spare change, don't you judge me
I'm a bit new. Can't you redownload your games on a new card if it gets corrupted? I've been buying more and more digital copies of games recently, and I hate it because I'm paranoid I'll lose them but I figured you could probably just redownload them if anything happened.
He also has the really nice traditional Nord outfit you see him wear in chapter 3 as an unlockable costume if you buy the "Other" costume pack using your NG+ points.
Of course you can.
Saves are the real problem though, you have to either backup your games regularly to your PC/PS3 or subscribe to PS+ and auto upload them in order to prepare yourself for the possibility of mem card corruption.
well, I read what got me the bad end so now I'll try doing the opposite, at least
I realized I was seeing flags early on but I thought there'd be a really long "common" route, instead I got a credit roll and a "sorry that you sucked" trophy
thanks for the link
I don't know about polite, but she's definitely the most rapeable Vita representant.
I would pound her booty so hard, it would turn into fucking mochi.
She looks so out of place dressed like that its laughable.
Is it out yet?
My physical copy should arrive within a couple days.
I seriously hope it has gaijin-friendly menus.
How's this? Do I have enough status effects?
Trying to finish J stars. Still need 2 more areas for the Victory road shit, then have to run through the other 3 story arcs for J adventure mode. Which is stupid because it's all the same shit and you get all the characters near the end regardless of which route either way.
Also is there any sort of bonus for chaining similar quartz in a row? Say in line 1 there are 3 slots so a green green green, or green blue green does something extra?
I just finished chpt 3 and am doing okay but feel like the bosses are more annoying than they should be.
It's also super annoying how each chapter change your quartz get shuffled around due to loosing people.
>Say in line 1 there are 3 slots so a green green green, or green blue green does something extra?
There's no such bonus in cold steel, in other games chaining quartz of the same color unlocked more arts. Also I chose Falco for the extra evade.
>heard about Oddworld comming to Vita
>no vita release
>oh well, fuck those devs I guess
>they actually are building the game from zero again to make it run perfectly on vita
>mfw they care
day one buy just for that
I was going to buy it anyway
Yeah, Teslagrad guys did that too.
Meticulously ported the whole game to the newer version of Unity just for us.
I could've just kept playing my PS+ copy but I bought the physical edition just to thank them.
Guess I'll ask again.
What's the best time for NA to post the Cold Steel collage on monday?
I played the original a billion times as a kid, I know the game perfectly.
New n Tasty has new areas and some are condensed. It'd have been also pretty difficult to make it 1:1 considering that there are no transitions between areas now, it wouldn't work by just connecting the old places together.
No, it lost its atmosphere.
Guys, I REALLY don't think I'm ready for that Saki game I ordered. I'm not sure if I'm just extremely bad at mahjong or if the bots are fairly good.
Does anyone who knows how to play mahjong willing to figure that out for me?
