Because it would be great?
>tfw can't go out drinking because I'm fucking broke
Is it possible to remain the French Empire indefinitely after installing Napoleon III in HPM? What are the conditions for doing so?
this is the best europe which has ever existed historically
prove me wrong
This thread was made in the name of Allah, the most gracious, the most merciful.
He didn't industrialize and westernize his country by importing minds like Japan did. Nor killed the local warlords that eventually broken the country apart.
An united, rich and powerful China would mean the end of the West anyways.
You know what? Fuck you
Every day I slave away for you ungrateful fucks and you never recognize that i'm the one keeping this fucking general alive
And never has there been a single person to thank me for this
Not the end but at least China wouldn't be Murica 2.0: The Declaration of False Communism edition
>you're the one keeping this general alive
Lad I posted 75 posts in the last thread alone.
Single handedly destroyed the legitimacy of the republic & kicked off the warlord era
Sure, just because I want a little recognition I must be a random shitposter?
You know what, fuck you
Go back to posting useless shit that no one cares about and only serve to fuck up the thread
I don't even know why I do this shit for you
I'm making the official call for Aurora 4x.
Terraforming installations > Terraforming ships
Before you leave Sol this is indisputable. It's just too damn expensive and time consuming to build the ships. First it's going to take years to get a shipyard to a real size so you aren't building ships with 1 god damn module on them. Then they take up precious Mercassium, while installations only take Duranium and Boronide. Then you need to build all the other ship shit that makes them go in space which is more resources and a side effect, more time.
If you build infrastructure right then the colonies should start building enough of their own to be self sufficient until you terraform the planet, then you ought to have tens of thousands of infrastructure to move around and repeat the process.
Unless you're retarded and you try to put infrastructure on Venus. They're only going to complain your whole game and put interrupts in your auto-turns. It can be colonized, but only by ships and it will take like 100 years from the moment you start to colonize it.
>implying this isn't a false flag false flag
I've seen this dick before, you can't fool me, Anon.
My Lithuanian Meme-ga Campaign came to an abrupt end when my genius, heirless king died of explosive diarrhea while conquering Poland.
Who should I try this time? Only restrictions are: no Muzzies, no Republics, no Hindus. The memier the better.
Are you playing with a mod? Either way, do the classic persia takeover. That or a hellenic roman restoration starting in that one province gap between the two papal provinces.
I let them win or I wait until they win the elections?
Shen's a furry and a cuck. If he hasn't killed himself already, he's never going to.
Which is weird because the game's actually got the most 'going on' in any Paradox title. More mechanic-minigames, more depth, more planning required. Easy to learn, difficult to 'master'.
Yo, Alternative flag pack guy. You said that you were having trouble making a non silver legion US fascist flag, I think that the flag of the Commander-in-Chief's Guard from the revolutionary war could be a good inspiration.
"Conquer or Die" is too cool of a phrase to not use.
I'm going to do a Japan game, and go for these borders.
Pink are either objectives for late game, or countries I will just puppet.
Did I forget anything ?
>mfw I convert to Christianity as the emperor of Imperial Poland and everyone in my empire is apparently fine with it.
They even converted to Catholicism within a week, feels strange but
now I can conquer the Baltics guilt-free.
I'm so bored of Earth all the time, holy shit.
I wish there was a mod that gave a completely new world to play in, new countries and events an decisions and all.
Finally finished with fucking Rumelia, Greco-Turkish War time
I'm also going to test the feasibility of complete population exchanges, I want to have population exchange events/decisions for Serbia, Greece, Turkey, and Montenegro
Anyone want a download with the version that only has Rumelia?
Make sure to include wars that do nothing but hinder the Chinese.
Don't just have more land and people than them, actively drive them lower as well.
Turn them into harmless mud farmers.
i started to draw up a shitty map for an idea for that kinda shit
if it's any good i could give it another go
i gave it a thought or two but i never actually got very into it because i literally know nothing about it and couldn't find relevant material to learn
mostly i thought of induvidual landmasses that exist already and pasted them together, pic related
Here lad, v.01
Features Eastern Rumelia and not much else, completely compatible with HPM, eastern Rumelia gets released during the Berlin Congress, there are events that move some turkish pops in rumelia to istanbul and Bulgaria can annex Rumelia if they have Mass Politics.
I'll start with Crete since that was the cause of the Greco-Turkish War
From this map it appears the Turks didn't have as much of an ethnic presence irl that they do in HPM, so I'll try to find some census data then fix it.
Fuck, that is a sexy flag.
This is what I have. I have some sort of strange inner sea system going on on the Old Continent, and the New World isn't very big.
meet my son
the king of italy
how this happen? The holy roman empire took over most of northern italy and to be honest I want to limit the kaiser's power. An invasion later and boom no more germans in italy.
but now came the hard part of holding it, so in a bold political move I made my son catholic and then made him king of italy, my other son is also a king so I wont inherit the kingdom, thank god, but now that I have family on the thrones of italy and the byzantine emprie I can assure I have dominance over meditteranean politics.
r8 my political power plays
looks good, but in my opinion it'd need some work to be aesthetic. the trick to making shit i deem good is to maximize recognizable features and go for simple shapes. I've highlighted areas that i'd revise if it were my project.
most of these are for shape instead of coastline, but just keep in mind that 99 percent of the time a square peninsula is a shit peninsula
Here's the problem, there are way too many turks in Crete. Historical, although Crete had a sizable muslim population, many of those muslims were Greek converts who converted to get favorable taxes/civil advantages. I'm going to halve the Turk population but replace the removed turks with muslim Greeks. The religion wont change, but the ethnicity will.
The Near East: A modern history by Ann Arbor
Cretan Rebel: Eleftherios Venizelos in Ottoman Crete
I'll be off for now, hopefully Crete's pops will be done by tomorrow
Why the fuck is the FRCA breaking up when everything is under control and I have little militancy. I lost Nicaragua and Costa Rica in the beginning then later on they want to join and immediately the FRCA dissolves and plunges into civil war despite no problems. WTF
Except he specifically said he wouldn't integrate this mod because he's a massive fucking faggot.
Not sure about Persia but he extremely begrudgingly changed the Sudetenland due to popular appeal.
It's not like archive.moe recently closed and there is no good site to search /vg/ posts, is it?
Why can't you just take my word for it? I'm hardly going to lie about such a pointless thing.
It was supposed to divide Australia into it's individual states prior to federalisation as happened in real life rather than Britain just giving them independence as Australia, of course it never did because the creator was a PoS who managed to make the first ever vaporware mod.
Alright I'll level with yah, lads, this is rob here, I was trying to defamate HPM again.
Seriously though, even you have to admit he's stubborn to add anything, during the Sudetenland debacle people were trying to get him to add it and he said it was pointless as the German minority was already represented and that such a thin border would cause graphical issues, in short he tried to swerve it.
pretty pointless imo, what next, 5 independent substates in Canada prior to confederation? The country received independence as a united Australia, anything that happened before that was shifting administrative responsibilities.
Jesus the HPMIDF is busting my balls tonight.
I don't know his exact words, I'm paraphrasing, I believe you're practising some pretty rampant cognitive dissonance in not acknowledging how prone HPM is to being stubborn.
Are you meming right now lad? I can't tell. Canada does have 5 independent substrates prior to confederation, Rupert's land, Newfoundland, the Maritime union, Colombia and Quebec.
Historical accuracy is a meaningful argument.
those are tags with cores owned by the UK, not independent states on the map day 1. And I was referring to Upper and Lower Canada, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, the Maritime union is an ahistorical abstraction that shouldn't exist if you want to go to that level of detail.
I did...this. I think I'm the only person here to ever post about Khodynt.
It's fucking impossible with new Ming now though
I have no problem with HPM personally (apart from that he is too stubborn for his own good) but the fact that saying anything against the party line gets you violently attacked by a mob of obsessive fans has really made /gsg/ a worse place.
I believe you just made a bullshit claim that he said he wouldn't integrate anything and made excuse after excuse to not present proof
Calling anyone HPMIDF shows you are just here to create some drama
>HPM said X
>I can't, there's million of posts
>Search his trio
>I can't, there's no archive
>Here's the archive
>JUST BELIEVE ME OK? WHY WOULD I LIE FUCK OFF HPMIDF
I'm not the guy you're arguing with but he's publicly said that if it comes to integrating another modder's work or doing it his way he'd rather do it his way, when asked if he'd integrate RDS.
Ladies and gentlemen, does anyone remember the days when Khazaria would cease to exist 15 years into the game? I sure do.
Khazaria isn't the only Khazarian nation by the way, they took over Serbia, Khiva, Armenia and even formed a friendly merchant republic in Nikopolis which has tried 3 times to invade Byzantium and fail.
Meanwhile my quaint little ethiopian jewish kingdom flourishes after repelling two invasions from the Miski sultanate which is now imploding after their caliph of 62 years died.
Rate my autism please.
Which is different from "he specifically said he wouldn't integrate this mod because he's a massive fucking faggot.", and you can add to that he consistently integrated good work before.
By the way he said that he wouldn't integrate RDS because he has his own system, because RDS got some shit wrong and because he would rather leave people choose how their map looks
It's true though and happens all too often. I don't understand the mentality of people who feel they have an obligation to protect an anonymous modder on the internet who they've never even met.
Yes, that's how it would be for Australia. Currently the entire bottom right of the map lacks any flavour whatsoever, where Canada has all that shit going on.
Oh and heres the full extent to grosskhazariums
man if you're really that bored, just fucking do something else.
there's more ways than gs to autism your way to glory.
just look at these faggots
that could be you, senpai
that takes like no effort
and it's EXACTLY what you want
so find some GS you want to do or just fucking make some content.
also what is least shit flag
>By the way he said that he wouldn't integrate RDS because he has his own system, because RDS got some shit wrong and because he would rather leave people choose how their map looks
Provide proof for this statement.
Maybe they just feel the need to protect something they love, it's basic human instinct
What I don't understand is why people feel they have an obligation to attack someone they never met because he does a mod they don't need to play, to the point of pretending to be him, faking posts and shit
I just think having them as substates like the minimod does is silly, having cores and events to represent federation sure (though annoying if you just want to play a released Australia game), but if there's one thing HPM doesn't need its more useless puppet states with >50k pops. Canada has all that shit going on but until 1867 and federation its all just British colonies, the flavour happens under the hood so to speak.
Dutch game in victoria 2, already reclaimed Belgium, as well as seized the british Malay colonies in the war. Everything may have gone better than expected. I have a ton of infamy though, should I just be slow burning infamy while I wait and building up industry taking the indonesia imperialism events?
The territories current flags could serve as their monarchy flags, wouldn't be hard to concoct rep, fascist and com flags.
Yeah but Canada gets the VIP treatment so why shouldn't Australia?
>Maybe they just feel the need to protect something they love
>something they love
kek. if you love HPM, then that explains more than enough. I hope your life improves so that you no longer have to compete for the heart of an anonymous modder on the internet.
Here's some proof on the status of the Australian states.
>Between 1855 and 1890, the six colonies individually gained responsible government, managing most of their own affairs while remaining part of the British Empire. The Colonial Office in London retained control of some matters, notably foreign affairs, defence, and international shipping. New Zealand achieved responsible government in 1853, New South Wales and Victoria in 1855, Tasmania in 1856, Queensland in 1859 (separated from New South Wales in that year with self-government from the beginning) and Western Australia in 1890. These arrangements were confirmed by the Colonial Laws Validity Act 1865.
>The Colonial Laws Validity Act 1865 was a British Act of Parliament to define the relationship between local ("colonial") and British ("imperial") legislation. It confirmed that colonial legislation was to have full effect within the colony, limited only to the extent that it was not in contradiction with ("repugnant to") any Imperial Act which extended to that colony. The Act had the effect of clarifying and strengthening the position of colonial legislatures, while at the same time restating their ultimate subordination to the British Parliament.
>Until the passage of the Act, a number of colonial statutes had been struck down by local judges on the grounds of repugnancy to English laws (whether or not those English laws had been intended by Parliament to be effective in the colony). This had been a particular problem for the government in South Australia, where Justice Benjamin Boothby had struck down local statutes on numerous occasions in the colony's Supreme Court.
I believe on the dates provided the states should gain independence as either substrates or puppets of Britain.
>implying that's any better
Seriously man, maybe you should just chill out away from /gsg/ for a while. There is more to life than an average mod for a 5 year old game. Give your parents a call or play some frisby maybe, you know?
Well man it's not like I can do all that and still love a mod or a game
Why don't you just stop worrying some random stranger on the internet likes something? Why does that bother you that much?
It doesn't particularly bother me but when someone feels so strongly about a video game mod that they say they "love" it and see the mod creator as a member of their own family, you'd be a fool not to expect some confused reactions to that. It's a very strange thing to consider a mod or video game as an object of affection.
I hope things get better for you. Seriously, man.
>it and see the mod creator as a member of their own family
Well shit, do tell me when someone says that then
If you can't love a good mod or a good game, then I suggest you are in the wrong place, Most people who play video games are very passionate about their hobby, which is why things can lead to big shitstorms easily
What a sad life you must live when you are incapable of loving the hobby, the games and the mods you are here to discuss
That's fair, but I still say it's silly, It's on the same scale as giving Prince Edward Island independence as a puppet when it got responsible government in 1849, the nation is just so underpopulated and in all fairness irrelevant, just like Canada that there's no point representing it until its actually a united nation. Some abstractions are necessary especially with something as complicated as British relations to the commonwealth. That's just my opinion though, it's not like a minimod is being forced on me and if someone wants to make it good for them.
South Africa doesn't appear until the union.
Canada doesn't appear till Confederation.
Why should Australia be special?
Very close, my friend. Very close.
This is best map.
Responsible government is a poor metric for independence, like that other anon said the individual Canadian colonies all got it early on, Cape Colony and the other parts of South Africa got it long before the Boer War, it's just another part of the march to independence not the beginning of it.
What you are doing and what you are feeling isn't healthy. There is nothing wrong with having a hobby and being passionate about it. Some people are passionate about film. Then you have people who become obsessive fans of certain films and actors, who then become shut-ins and possible stalkers. When you take it too far, a hobby turns into an obsession.
This is what you are doing with HPM. Please, think of your own health.
I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE
IM FUCKING DONE WITH THESE GODDAMN SHITTY ASS MAPS
Well I feel it should be modelled for two reasons:
1. Historical accuracy
2. More flavour for the region.
Currently nothing happens in Australia until three quartets of the way through the game, it is literally just a big red blob. This does nothing to represent the actual story of the region.
Furthermore, I would support Prince Edward Island being given substrate status in 1849 if it wasn't for it being so irrelevant, but Australia is a lot more relevant than a tiny island in Canada, currently Australia has literally no flavour whatsoever where as every other country, including Argentina is accurately represented, why does the game model the Argentine confederation but not the Australian states?
Say another bad thing about HPM and you'll be hanging from the gutters.
HPM guy is one of the greatest men of the 21st century and you people don't give him the reverence he deserves
No anon, it's perfectly healthy. Loving your hobby and loving the things that integrate it are all parts of normal, functional human beings. Defending what you love is also a part of it, though it seems you consider calling out slander as "attacking" someone, which is pretty funny
What isn't healthy is obsessing what other people like anon. To the point of attacking them and what they like, to fake shit to attack, ironically shitposting. That kind of obsessive behavior, being so bothered someone likes what you don't like, that's something you should worry about
It's really not though, the only aspects Britain kept control of were foreign affairs and defence, this is the perfect example of a satellite.
And I've discussed the Cape Colony's responsible government with him, he said he would do it but it's fuck British colonisation in the region, it's the same reason Columbia doesn't get early responsible government, for the colonisation of Canada and such.
>every other country,
That's a lie though, there are tons of countries why minimal to no flavor at all
Only the GPs have a sizeable amount
Failure to grasp sarcasm, irony or ironic shitposting is a good sign of autism
I agree the region desperately needs flavour, I'd especially like to see potential for New Zealand and Fiji to join federation. I just think seeing Western Australia as its own country on the pop with 10k pops is entirely a step too far, I'm also against the Kurdish minors though so whatever.
Like I already said, being passionate about your hobby is fine but being as obsessive as you are is slightly concerning.
>calling out slander
This is exactly the sort of stuff I'm talking about. You said before that you loved the mod, now you are backtracking by saying that you feel bound by your duty to defend the honour of the modder, as if he's incapable of defending himself.
You keep misusing that word. Criticising someone is not attacking. This further proves my point that your obsession with HPM is dangerously unhealthy. You view anything less than adoration as slander and a conspiracy to destroy the mod. Please, consider having a mental health check if you have the chance.
The choices are simulate it all, with Western Australia included or simulate none of it as it is currently until federation.
Ask yourself whether it's more important than shitty Kurdish minors.
Nah, obsession is when you start caring other people like what you don't like
That someone loves something
Obsession is pretending to be someone, shitposting and stirring drama about someone you don't like
>you are backtracking by saying that you feel bound by your duty to defend the honour of the modder,
Good thing no one said anything of the sort
Seeing as you think that calling out slander is some horrible thing, and seeing as the rest of your post is nothing but a big strawman, this discussion becomes rather pointless
Now anon, please, check that obsession you have with everything HPM related
When you start making up shit to criticize people who love a mod, well, there's something fucked up with you
I know, and that's why I say simulate none of it, or simulate it in a different way, the separate states are just too irrelevant on their own, especially considering how irrelevant a united Australia is in this game. Flavour is needed, more tiny substates that do nothing but get annexed by event to another country aren't.
Yeah, but Canada already has all their tags and cores so it would be a copy and paste job of Canada and it's a bit of a double standard to have it for one but not the other.
mine are doing kinda meh
they settled everywhere all over the balkans, georgia, and persia as three different religions
funny enough the jewish khazars in my game switched to sunni within 4 years
PORTUGAL? MORE LIKE POORTUGAL
GALICIA IS SPANISH
I don't know what I'm playing then because in my games they do. Britain releases them all and then they get annexed into the confederation later on, that might be one of AMMguy's new changes but that's what happened in my last game, and it's what I want for Australia.
>obsession is when you start caring other people like what you don't like
Is this even in English? Please, clarify what you meant by this.
>Obsession is pretending to be someone, shitposting and stirring drama about someone you don't like
Once again, you conflate "shitposting" and "stirring drama" with criticism. Let me make this clear to you: Criticism is not shitposting.
>calling out slander
More proof of what I said before. You consider criticism as slander for some reason. This is called being a drama queen. HPM is a big boy, I'm sure he can handle himself.
>When you start making up shit to criticize people who love a mod
Please point to proof of when I have done this. Or would that be damaging to your strawman?
Alright you niggers. One of you has to know something about this game.
Is this ship design any good?
It's basically a big cargo ship. 5 cargo holds, but with 20 engines that have .10 engine power (200 EP a piece) for maximum fuel consumption. The other design has 3 engines at .50 engine power (1000 EP a piece) and it would take a very large fuel tank (1,000,00 fuel)to get to the edge of the Solar System and back, not that I need it to shuttle stuff that far, but I think it's a good measurement.
Basically, far as I can tell, it uses a little more duranium to build, twice the mercassium (still low amount), and less galicite.
It's obviously larger, and if it were a ship with a single cargo hold then it would be massively bigger than the alternative.
But why would that improve the population's literacy? Clergy/intellectuals actively teach the population to read by educating them, that's their job, clerks just do work that requires being literate, they in no way teach other people to read.
Aurora is more gs than Distant Worlds.
I'm not asking you in particular anyway so you can go back to blobbing for grorious easth othodoxshy because playing non-mainstream religions = playing cool.
What the fuck is this shit, Lad? The only spreadsheet game i play is Rule the Waves, the finest 20th century naval warfare simulator ever made, second only to actually being an admiral, developed by NWS™, the premier 21st century wargame dev.
What happened to the Boer states in South Africa? Did HPM remove them?
How do you make them go pew-pew?
Click your ship then click the enemy? Or is it click your ship and then you go in a menu with a dropdown list of enemies and distances and all that?
Sorry, I forgot the given "in your empire" part.
You control more shit in your empire.
Steamgroup shitposted harder.
/gsg/ gave up and just let the OP picture be because mods just saw 1 thread being fucking retarded and creating 3 or 4 threads 200 posts early and got tired of the shit.
Real time strategy games about historical eras with set scenarios, on a global scale, based on history with non symmetrical starts, and without X from 4x exploration. That is, maps are not completely randomized and the starts aren't symmetrical but based on historical parameters
3 different modes:
pleb: you control every ship
patrician: you control the lead ship for each battlegroup
god: flagship only
you can assign groups of ships to other ships, with commands such as screen, scout, support, etc
CK2 isn't on a global scale, and EU4 has not only randomized New World, but an option to have perfectly symmetrical starts on a randomized world.
Not to mention, if Stellaris is allowed to be posted (which it most definitely will), then Aurora and Distant Worlds have to be allowed to be posted too.
Not, but it fills all the other attributes. Like the lack of exploration
EU4 DLC doesn't make the game not GS, same way that a fixed earth map in civ doesn't make it GS
Distant Worlds is allowed because it fill a lot of the requirements, even if it's arguably a 4X. If stellaris is on the middle too, it will be allowed
>a part of anyone's ideal europe
What about Aurora then? Just because it has 4X in it's name, doesn't mean it can't be multiple genres.
People really need to move past this retarded idea that a game is only one genre. Fallout is an FPS and an RPG. Total War is both an RTS and a TBS
Hey, now that doesn't sound too terrible after all!
I thought it would be way more micro, and even possibly aiming the turrets manually by telling them what angle to fire at instead of just telling them to "Hit them!"
Um, have you played either Distant Worlds or Aurora? Aurora is basically the same game as Distant Worlds except with almost no graphics and more detail. Tell me what makes Aurora less of a gs than Distant Worlds.
So I think I'll go with this then...
I only have 2xxK fuel on Earth and saving fuel on cargo ships sounds like a good idea. Besides, that's still double the speed of the ones I have now.
Is there any advantage to keeping Napoleon III out of power in HPM?
I mean, Aurora gives background context to the setting, which is essentially the same thing, considering the minute you unpause in any gs it becomes ahistorical.
The turn based thing is not really something I agree with. The system Aurora uses is very different from every other traditional turn based game, and is way closer to a gs than, say, GalCiv.
I was in the OP, but then it got replaced by EU: Rome, a game which I haven't seen on /gsg/ in more than a year, because the autist who designed the infopic gave in to the shitposting by the steamgruppe
It was in the OP until people like you decided to voice negative opinions louder than the very few people who play it because it feels good to tell people they're wrong, especially when you think everyone agrees with you because of something like the OP image.
This is /pgg/ Paradox Games General
We tolerate DW because it's somewhat similar to the paradox style but Aurora is not allowed and will never be allowed.
P.S. Please buy Stellaris
Making Indian food tomorrow. Currying all the things. Making kebab. Enjoying my weekend off.
The only thing I would like to ask gsg is which muslim to play as to conquer India with? I don't mind starting at count level but if I do that, I would prefer 1066 or earlier so the game doesn't slow down too much.
Guys, when the scramble for africa event starts at early 1880, do minor nations/secondary powers get to gets a infamy free cb against african states in HPM? Was playing as Serbia but did not get postive effects from that event...
Remember to list /4xgen/ as our vassal next thread in the OP
i don't know how to build armies, i mean iget OOB andshit but how the fuck am i supposed to stack them? Just satck HQs and attach 5 units to each one and then repeat the same thing with army groups etc? Also what's the best comp?
well lad that isnt much for to go off
neutrality and threat
hard and soft attack
hardness and softness
combined arms bonus
Watch an LP.
There's a guy who takes Albania and conquers the world but he has more resonable nations that you can actually learn stuff from, like Brazil.
So google "HOI3 Brazil World Conquest" and buckle up. Don't worry, you'll see him do something enough that you'll get a hold of it. Of course English isn't his first language. This is an HOI LPer we're talking about.
you dont even *need* the OOB. its probably my least fabourite part of hoi3 just because it is tedious and the AI is so bad at it
Yes, you want to minimize the amount of unnecesary HQs to maximize the leader effect so keep them all at 5 when possible
there is a lot of stuff written about division composition
if you are more IC rich and less manpower rich you want less ic intensive units, for example 3x inf 1art vs 4inf
generally the bulk of your army will be infantry with a support division tailored to your needs
then you have units that pack a lot of punch into a small amount of frontage that open up a hole (lots of support brigades)
then you have fast units that exploit those holes and encircle enemies
>Bureaucrats represent the administrators of a country. Their main purpose is to increase the administrative efficiency of the state they're in, and the country as a whole. Administrative efficiency on the state level increases the rate of POP promotion and demotion. On the national level it affects the amount of goods the population requires, doubling it at 0%, with normal needs at 100%. It also affects the amount earned from tariffs and the crime fighting efficiency of the nation. They are paid directly from the administrative spending of the nation, so if spending is low they will be unable to meet their needs and demote, while if spending is high promotion to the POP-type will be increased. They are also necessary to turn a colony into a state.
What do you use for naval comp in HOI3? Light cruisers are the obvious choice for screens as they have better range and attack (and HP) than destroyers. For capital ships, carriers are obviously the most versatile but you can only put 3 carriers in a stack before your CAGs are taking such high penalties that they fight less effectively than if you only had 2 carriers. Do you split between carriers and something else?
Would you recommend anyone? The only lets players for these sorts of games are arumba (who doesn't play hearts of memes) and quill18 (who is canadian) both of which present problems
>be Venetian merchant republic
>Take over world with the power of money because fuck feudalism
Feels good to be a merchant.
I'm thinkig about doing a Scotland playtrough in Vic2 HPM.
Are they just a smaller UK?
>thinking about finally playing as an independent cossack nation made from a cossack rebelion
>they are a fucking nomadic fucking horde
I'm finally done with Paradox bullshit, I could've just went with them going "lol who cares", but they literally named an expansion Cossacks and they haven't even bothered to open a single book or at least a wikipedia about the way cossack society was structured or who the fuck they were in reality. Like the whole ithinking process was just "who cares about fucking cossacks or realism, just make them mongoloid horsefuckers because we just made this horde mechanic and forget about it". Like they already made long before that a Zaporozhian Host which was an eastern tribal democracy, which was kinda closer-ish to reality, compared to a fucking nomadic horde, what went wrong in there brain that they decided to go with with this decision.
I may be a bit of a cossackboo, but this is just fucking ridiculous.
Why did I get no event for Belgian Congo in HPM?
Infamy (called badboy) was already in the original game and it worked fine. You could go as high as you wished, but keeping it in check meant that weak dukes would swear fealty to you, so it was perfectly possible to form huge realm without firing a single arrow.
I have 10 techs in Army, 5 techs in Navy and Corporative industrialism
I already got all techs I want in Commerce, Culture and Industry (only missing the last railroads, opens in 7 years)
It's better to me if I get the traditional academia again, right?
>B-but the Romans
also didn't make any contact
chinks saw the roman empire as some kind of weird glorious anti-china on the opposite side of the world they called da qin
Someone make a montenegro flag with uncle bens on it
Instead of a Scotland playtrough I decided to try out the Maritime Union.
And holy shit!
Look at these RGOs in one region!
This is going to be fun!
God damn, why does Austrian/GroBgerman Trent does have to look so shit? I always changeowner it back to Italy. And 2bh you should just put that Czechoslovakia out of it's misery, Bohemia to you and Slovakia to Hungary.
Are those your only complaints? I can changeowner Trent to Italy after I fight the turks (and them, they're allies), and I'll probably hold of of Czechoslovakia until the turn of the century
Yeah, pretty much. But how did you manage to ally Italy if you own their cores? And are you the Anon that wanted to do the Germanic Confederation borders by any chance?
I think Zentrumpartei is anti-military.

100% reddit cuck
Because building armies and navies is tedious. I'm working on it.
No, the Ottomans and Itally are allies. Every great power save the UK, US, and Japan hate me.
How would you do your armies?
The French probably had the maxim and the africans had it not.
>making murica homebase
Boring as fuck
Unless you're telling me that Earth was Russian or something and Bernie was governor?
4INF 4ART 1HUS 1ENG as fast reaction and rebel suppression forces.
4ART 1HUS 1ENG to fill with mobilized infantry while fighting big wars.
After discovering tanks replace engineers with them and do the same with hussars after discovering planes. You could also replace artillery with planes by the endgame if you have enough money.
My army composition about that date is
10 INF/GUA, 5 ART, 3 ENG, 3 HUS
Even though I think cuirassiers have better stats than infantry and guards I don't think they get the gas attack bonus(correct me if I'm wrong)
I am the africans, I am westernized and have better army tech then them. I am just frustrated because that is not how combat worked at all.
>10 INF/GUA, 5 ART, 3 ENG, 3 HUS
That's the worst army composition I've seen baring maybe the meme "all guards' answers. Maybe that's why you're losing to France.
>cuirassiers have better stats than infantry and guards
Front line stats literally don't matter, artillery and planes are the only ones doing any meaningful damage.
Disband the cuirassiers, the soldiers return to the POP pool. The split that stack into 2 and add ART and HUS until you have enough. You'l be left with a little more INF so use that for new stacks. Come on, lad, do some thinking yourself, it's fun.
Too big of a front line for no reason at all, too many engineers (who suck at combat compared to ART). Wasting recon with too high HUS to INF ratio. Wasting soldier POPs on infantry that you should just mobilize.

Get a few dreadnoughts or whatever is the late tech battle ship. I've had succes with mostly spamming ironlads, which is also good for muh colonial points
What's your tech level?
Looking at your naval max it looks like shit.
Early one just a ton of frigates and a few men of war. The AI usually neglects their naval tech so later in the game you can dominate it(at least that's my experience, before going to war always check their tech level) Honestly just cruisers and ironclads are enough. Maybe get a dreadnought or a few battleships if you want to be cheeky.
