RNG works both ways. I remember times I get lucky (even small things like on curve topdecks) and compare it to unlucky times and they check each other out. It really puts a stop to the inevitable confirmation bias that I get
Also watching Kibler play helps a lot because hes one of the best card game players ever and though he plays gimmick decks, he'll get completely fucked by RNG or que into horrible matchups and he'll just shrug it off and move on because losing spectacularly is part of card games.

nah dupe is excellent, it's a core part of the strategy with the discover minions. i really don't mind duping any minion in the deck besides mad scientist (which is easy to make sure that doesn't happen). i actually often pull additional dupes off of scarab in all honesty, or echos off of conjurer. this is definitely a value deck instead of a straight face race deck, but i like all the removal and aggressive edge it has. gonna be a real pain in the ass getting my ranks back after tilting back 5 or 6 ranks over the past couple of days, but i think i can pull it off.

desu i consider it more of a varient of strifecro's discover grinder deck than of tempo, i use waker as more of a board control card and a good dupe target yet again. i just hate super reactive decks praying for heals so they don't die. i want to be getting value while killing my opponent if they sit on their hands, and even punishing them if they do try to kill my shit.

plus water ele is insane in this meta, fuck doomhammer and death's bite for real.

It's hard to have faith for this game when more deck slots, an incredibly basic feature, still isn't in the game.

exactly, but it always felt like grinder was too slow with the exp. sheep and belchers and healbots and polymorphs and whatnot. my version can both burn an opponent out as well as play the flood game, you're not so dependent on playing out the long game but you can still out-value your opponent. you also have access to better cheap removal which seems to be much more effective in this meta, flamestrike is too often ineffective or comes to late.

sometimes i wonder if fitting in an echo would be appropriate but i feel like it might be a dead card too often and is really more for late game situations like i posted, i'll stick to using it only when i get it off of conjurers, but damn is it fun running out conjurers/eles/loatheb/boom/etc and making copies, playing against a warrior and going turn 3 secret turn 4 water ele and watching them sweat.

glad i could be of assistance. for the record i'm pretty sure that's the perfect version of that sort of deck, i really don't see how one could make that more efficient if you're going for the whole discover/brann package in tempo mage. i considered going more flood-y with potentially chows over flamecannons, but cannons are just too good for cheap removal at any point in the game and chows could potentially fuck up your dupes. i used to play the slow grinder version with chows and i hated them every time i played them, even on turn 1. wyrm on the other hand, i have no problem with duping (although it's generally the weakest dupe target). multiple wyrms can potentially do serious damage or just control the board against aggro decks.

Been thinking about cutting the clockwork for a second harvester actually.

Harvester is clutch vs. secret paladin. They just can't deal with it efficiently and basically guarantees you'll get a blast mage off on turn 4.

Poly is also anti-secret paladin tech. It destroys their sludge belcher, hugely buffed minions or tirion. It wins so many games.

I could see Conjuerers working over bling, but Toshley is just too clutch at grabbing spare parts for tony. Without clockworks he becomes even more important. It is also a solid body that trades well with most things and survives light bombs.

First 4 matches were against control priest. I could litterally do nothing to push through the constant clear and heal. In two of those match they started to heal themselves for 4 everyturn. Note that I never saw boom the whole time, but he couldnt have done it alone.

I forget what I was playing the other day (probably secret paladin) but I went against a Reno control Mage and Reno Rogue in a row. Fucking Mage echo'd the reno to use twice, and the rogue shadowstepped and brewmastered it to use reno 3 times, under 10 health each time.

It felt SO good just tearing through their health over and over again. You think there's no better feeling than watching people concede to reno? No. There's no better feeling than beating your opponent from 30 health 3 times in one game, watching them cling to some hope of a comeback but knowing in their heart it will never happen. I think I just pre-came a little talking about it.

1) Being on tilt is a thing. Losing causes bad plays, and you don't notice them because you're in a bad state of mind, so you think "I'm playing perfectly, why is life shitting on me" when you're not
2) When you win more you're in a good state of mind and end up making better plays. Someone 5-0 in arena will play better than someone 0-0 even if they're on the same skill level
3) Could be playing a deck that's outdated to the meta. The specific secret paladin build I played near the end of last season got me from rank 5 to legend in one night with AT LEAST 70% winrate. Tried it out a week ago and probably had less than 50% winrate.

So we have:

Druids bursting you down unless you have absolute board control
Mages playing solitaire, stalling, then emptying their hands for a otk
Some variants of warlock bursting you down with power overwhelming on a golem, then faceless.

All of them rely on emperor thaurissan as an enabler, just one turn is enough. Why hasn't this card been changed?

I literally had a mage stall, thaurissan, Alex, then double fireball, double ice bolt, double ice spear me and there was nothing I could do to stop that, even with having board control. The only thing you can do is pop his ice blocks and hope to top deck loatheb, cockblock him and finish him, but even with loatheb in hand it's an uphill battle.
