Asking again, is it possible to play a Paladin as an Int based support caster rather than a melee fighter, going into Krivis 2 for Zaibas to synergize with Conviction and taking advantage of Barrier's magic damage attribute?

It's possible, yes. Just don't expect the journey from Paladin C1 to C3 being easy. Smite is your only other source of damage outside of Zaibas, Cure and Heal, but it should do okay vs. Demons even without Strength.

Once you reach C3, Conviction should reduce elemental resistance quite a bit, such that even Arde Dagger's bonus damage will be amplified by a lot.

It seems like a lot of investment into Paladin for a gimmick build though. Resist Elements and Restoration will be your only decent skills.

As long as you took a class, you can wear its costume regardless of what class you currently are. So if you took Highlander, Barbarian and Doppelsoeldner, you can wear any of the outfits at any time. Costumes are non-trade though, and you can't wear outfits from another tree. (e.g. Can't wear Wizard outfits in the Cash Shop if you're a Swordsman.)

Swift Step attribute increases the Critical Rate on your stats page by 25%. If you have no dex, you will have no crit rate, and swift step will give you next to nothing.

Your stat distribution depends entirely on what you want to do with C2 Rogue. Do you want the biggest backstab damage possible? If so, then pump all STR and consider dropping Archer C2 for something else. Do you want backstab to just be supplementary single target damage and have your other skills do the bulk of the damage? If so, pumping some DEX and taking Archer C2 to buff your crit rate is a good idea.

Depends on your build. Rangerc3 is a popular choice for Rogue, and I've seen some qs3 lately too. If you want Sapper it's worth it because Sneak Hit doesn't work with traps afaik. Don't know how well a rogue/qs-sapper2-rogue? would fare, but sounds decent

I believe rangerc3 would give the highest dps, but sapperc2 would give you more crowd control, I believe ranger>sapper would be a hybrid between those two. Ranger2 is simply not worth it because the circle itself doesn't bring much; Spiral Arrow, the c3 skill, is quite good though. QS3 sounds decent, but as I haven't played it yet, I don't know how well it synergises with rogue.

I'd suggest roguec3 then. In my opinion, Collar Bomb doesn't shine untill c3, although it is decent at level 5, Broom is great for crowd control but it's on a long cooldown and it's more of a DoT thing; Punji is quite shite for PvE, Stockades are nice early on but the damage isn't superb, claymore is decent but it's supposed to be used as a crowd control tool if anything. The only problem I see with ranger is that you're too reliable on Barrage early on, don't know how that goes when you get Spiral

I have. You will still do good damage with all the pattack you get from STR if you go full backstab build. I played with every variation of stat distributions and preferred full STR just because of how good backstab is. With 2 charge overheat and a 10 second cooldown, you are a single target god. The only problem is that it Karacha was nerfed from 4x damage to 3x.

Pandemic can spread Conviction/Resist Elements' debuffs, so that works. Zalciai synergises nicely with Incineration too, and so does Aukuras.

The more debuffs you have, the longer Incinerate will do damage. Conviction should already increase the damage by a bit.

Caltros are like Fireball. They're more useful the more levels they have because each level is one more hit.

So a level 1 fireball/caltrop only deals 1 hit. Level 5 does 5, and 15 does 15 hits.

If you invest in it they can be pretty worthy. Since stone shot is a skill that has a 150% + X scaling, and X is kind of measly, plus a HUGE increase in SP, in my QS I've leveled Caltrops and Stone picking, with 1 level in Stone Shot and the rest on Pavise. Works well for me.

Does anybody else think Cleric, Archer, and Swordsman should all have another C3 skill to match Wizard's? Wizard I think has the right idea of how to have a base class in that quick cast can be used as a strong foundation to build a higher level class around. Swordsman gets a damage skill that's not as strong as highlander skills and only does improved damage with a condition they can't easily inflict, Cleric guardian saint is just bad, and Archer twin arrow is in the same boat as swordie; it's ok but not worth an entire rank. Not sure how you'd fix this either.

Don't put all points into skills every rank. You'll never find a situation at Rank2 where stoneshot is useful because Oblique is just better at that point. Put 1 into Pavise and 5 into Caltrops and save the rest.

After you change into C2, get Rapidshot and Caltrops 10 immediatey after changing, and no more points after that.

After changing into C3, put all the points you saved up into Running Shot 5, Rapid Shot 10, Caltrops 15 and Pavise 5. Whatever else you put points after that is your choice.

Also, do not be fooled. The best follow-up for Quarrel Shooter isn't Ranger, Archer2, or Rogue: It's Scout. The only thing that has any synergy with an auto-attack build in the archer tree besides QS is Scout's Split Arrow. It'll effectively multiply your damage by 5 because the two extra targets get hit by 200% damage. Also, you can buy attribute for Split Arrow, which is about the only way you'll be able to increase your auto-attack damage any further in the game. Yes, Rank5 attributes cost a fuckton, but it's all you can do beyond that point: throw money at it.

Getting to Rank7 with that kit might be a nightmare, but it'll be worth it. You'll be able to run around maps auto-attacking 3 targets at once for really high damage. You'll hardly ever get hit, and you pretty much don't use SP, so all the money you're saving can go into buying attribute for Split Arrow. Don't forget that you're stacking 280% damage from Running Shot with 200% damage from Split Arrow, on top of 100% damage increase from the attribute. We're talking retardation levels of damage here.

After reading this I realized that Split Arrow is an active attack skill. I was under the impression it was a buff that made all attacks into Split Shots. Fuck my life.

Still, it's viable. You *can* spam oblique while Running Shot. People don't do it because you do more DPS with 280% damage auto-attacks rather than with oblique(you still can run at full speed while oblique shooting), but the situation with Split Arrow would be different. Still, it's still quite a let-down.

That brings us back to the original situation that nothing really synergizes with Quarrel Shooter's auto-attacks. Archer2 improves it a bit with Kneeling and Swift Step Attribute and Rogue can get Vendetta for a negligeable bonus, but that's about it.

I hope Hackapell has auto-attack skills, and that it's either a rank 5 or 6 class, or else we'll be forced to take Archer2 at Rank5 and god-knows-what at rank 6-7.

Can you Running Shot while Reiter riding? What about being Hanging Shot carried by a Hawk? Those are only speed buffs, but it's an option...

In this game, your build needs to be viable within the first 5 circles, because the jump between 5 and 6 is full of walls. Getting Sapper1 at Rank5 means all you're getting it Stockades and Claymore, neither which are any useful for you because Quarrel Shooters are too busy running around to worry about leading monsters into Stockades/Claymore.

It's basically a Dievdirbys totem for your Priest buffs. Buffs are based on the level of each Priest skill it can cast. (You need at least 1 point in a buff to make Cappella cast it.)

Hunter is rather pointless because their best benefit is rooting stuff in place so you can skill-nuke them. It moots the point in having extreme mobility from Running Shot.

The one PvP issue I have with this build is that picking Quarrel Shooter + Scout basically make you the perfect target to be killed by a Hunter. You also get no chance against any class with a high block rate. Magic will probably rape you as well. Pretty good chance against other non-Hunter Archers, and absolutely no chance to die against any Swordsman, so long as they decide they do not want to fight and just hold C to block indefinitely.

Cryo has +50% electric damage vs cryomancer frozen enemies, and Elementalist also has +50% electric damage vs frozen enemies. It felt like it would be a decent combo, but it takes almost a full 5 seconds from freezing an enemy to electrocute casting, which means enemies are unfreezing before they get hit.

Psychokino is in there mostly because I wanted to test the Ice Wall combo. Soloing Necroventer without it would be impossible with these classes otherwise, it does like half his health when it doesn't get stopped early. None of these classes has anywhere near the damage necessary for this otherwise. Really if you want any decent sustained damage on a boss you have to go pyro...

I fucking love the Owl Burial Grounds quests. Running around the forest high as fuck at night talking to wooden owl statues and ghosts. Those are some of the most chill maps in the game.

The best parts of the game are the sacred plains(the entire area between Miner's Village and Tenet Garden), the forest of souls(Entrance to Kateen Forest until Poslinkins Forest), that watery area in the Orsha maps with the Flamingos cutscene, and the entire frozen city(Rusklys Street, Downtown, etc)

Good to hear, though the recent patch made solo runs a bit trickier.
If I dick around too much (like with swell body) and don't kill the spiders asap, they sometimes heal to full and run off a bit.
This is probably only an issue with solo runs combined with the aggro bugging out, so you two shouldn't run into it.
Even with the slightly less xp due to less swells, Cata runs are still my go-to source of xp, since it scales with you so well (30-40% a run past the 185 wall).
Fuck the 190 dungeon with its fire resistant mobs (immune, in the case of Elets).

I don't think the bosses have any concept of leashing or anything. Last time I fought him he kept running and he almost made it to the entrance of the instance. You can also just run far enough away from the boss and it will de-agro and not regain HP, which is kind of abusable if you need to recover HP.

From what I can tell, normal monsters will do a thing where they sometimes at low HP run away from you and slowly recover HP... but they made boss recovery times instant, so if a boss does it, you just lose. Getting on top of the boss triggers it too, it's HP will reset once you hit them, even if you get off of the boss (at least solo).

You travel from map to map doing quests. some are mini-instances. party members auto join if they're in same map.

theres a dungeon every 40-50 levels. great exp for a while.

Generally you quest for exp cards and pop them for flat exp when the grind is rough or you hit a wall in your exp curve.

Later levels like 130+ is almost purely grind. hardly any quests.

Pyrolinkers rarely need the taunt, though that point would've just gone into raising Enchant Fire anyway, which isn't important.
I guess it's better output than jump-attacking around Flame Ground.

Well, I guess getting drake horns isn't going to be that hard anymore. This map is kind of crazy, according to the adventure journal the drakes give 422 exp, which is a considerable amount.

This is kind of funny, I found an exp infrorocktor, apparently the adventure journal records the amount of exp the last one gave you.

Are weapons class specific?
Like for eg if you want to be a musketeer but you haven't unlocked the class yet and are still rank 2 archer can you still equip a musket?

I haven't noticed any changes, really. The extra line of damage from Running Shot is there. Doesn't feel any weaker, though I didn't play much before the patch, so perhaps I can't feel it due to inexperience.

This is THE rod for cryos going c3 until level 120 for dmg, just use it with arde dagger.

Also, u should keep in case you go cryo c3 to use frost pillar and, sometimes, snowrolling if you're mobbing things into party member's flame ground and etc.

The +1 to Cryo skills are worth a lot of damage in Ice Pike's case, but you'll lose a little bit dmg on PP and autos.
