Do you guys honestly think that the Tentatek is too good?

Why doesn't anybody use the Forge or Neo Splash? These two are both great, reliable weapons that also have Inkzooka. The Forge has better range and more reliable killing power. The Neo Splash has Burst Bombs, which give it a higher effective range than both, plus a bunch of utility.

There are a few other shooters that see very little use, such as the N-Zap 85 (Splat Bombs and Echo), both SSPro's, the vanilla Splattershot, etc.

Do you think there's a problem, or is this just the intended popularity curve i.e. the Tentatek and Gals are used constantly and the most popular, with the other shooters used for specific cases, and less common?

The devs obviously intended for the weapon roster to be balanced, and it is for the most part, except for a few outliers. People complain about overused weapons, but there are always going to be top choices. No game can be balanced perfectly.

For example, the Neo Splash excels in close quarters. The fast fire rate and movement gives it an edge, and the low range is covered by the Burst Bombs. With Bomb Range and Damage Up, the weapon is "lethal at all ranges" just like the Tentatek. You lose the utility of Suction Bombs, but Burst Bombs aren't bad either.

Yet, nobody uses it. Nobody even talks about it. I only remembered that it existed today. Why?

What about the N-Zap? Same range as the Tentatek, faster rate of fire, faster movement speed, but 4 shots to kill. Splat Bombs and Echo both have massive utility. When was the last time you saw someone use this weapon?

Do you think something needs to be changed? Do the other shooters need to be buffed to give them a leg up? Or is everything fine as it is?

Why Ink Saver Main? The Krak-On has no trouble with ink efficiency.

Secondly, you don't need Damage Up. Rolling into enemy squids is always a one-hit-kill. If you're bouncing off, that's a product of lag, not insufficient damage.

Try Ink Resistance and lots of Swim Speed. If you want Ink Saver, the Strapping Reds have brand influence for it. I recommend you start with Ink Res shoes and a Swim Speed hat and shirt. I'd be interested to see what you come up with.

This. E-Liters can probably get off two shots in between Hydra's charges. Not only that, they can survive a few hits from Hydra ink blobs. So once the hydra starts firing there's plenty of time to get outbof the way.
E-Liter was not expected to be this good because they didn't expect people to have such good accuracy. The only true fix would be to create even smaller hurtboxes that do less damage depending on where they hit. Something that won't happen until Splat3n.

It'll be an extremely influential support weapon. Sprinkler and long range give it really good turf control, and you can back your teammates up with a Bubbler when they get pushed back.

I'd say it'll be like the Mini > Zink. Base Hydra doesn't have enough going for it to be used much, but the new kit will give the Custom Hydra its own niche.

I've come to conclusion that the reason Callie and Marie don't go into squid form is simply because they can't. As squids grow older, they lose their ability to squidshift. There are cases where an adult might still be able to retain the ability to squidshift until their death, but these are rare. There are also some complications when an adult does decide to turn into a squid such as being stuck in that form for an indefinite amount of time or dying when splatted due to not being able to respawn.
