Not really a main spacing tool but you should use it sometimes, it can also work as a more "careful" button to oki with, the follow up into toward MK is good, and vs shitty opponents you can do that a few times then stop doing the follow up and instead go for neckbreaker (obviously punishable and pretty shit)

In most situations I'd say go for toward HK more, it is so fucking good (especially vs characters it doesn't whiff on crouching from max distance). Away MK whiffs on some opponents the same way

I typically post on /v/ but I saw a few comments about Vega, is it true you guys hate Vega players? People were circlejerking about how Vega takes no skill at all and is for retards, why? He's been my main since II and he has pretty fucked up inputs compared to the rest of the cast, and he has low damage output and low health.

Is there some sort of anti-Vega vitriol I've missed since I don't care to communicate with other FG players?

I never got into 3D fighters before. Looking at Tekken 7 it looks like every character is a close range strike character. Is that wrong? I like playing characters with long range.

evo is a little different the first one or two matches of pools are ridiculously easy unless you get a ridiculous bracket like daigo first match.

if you practice hard you might get to pool quarter or even semi-finals if you get lucky.

making it out of pools completely requires much more experience than 6 months of training will give you unless you are some kind of SF prodigy. pool finals/semifinals usually has a killer or well-known tournament player or above-average unknown waiting for you.

If you're a nobody there's a strong chance you'll play someone very strong first round. I played a jap this year and got fucked up and then the first 3 rounds of losers were really bad players. I was able to get 3 wins before being eliminated by the guy that put me in losers. I was playing for a year up to that point. Pretty good chance you wouldn't go 0-2 in 4 if that was the game being played but it will almost definitely be 5 at evo this year so who knows

The other one is if you are at way lower life than him and think you won't be able to come back in this round, you could save your burst for the next. Also "the second he touches you", not every random hit leads into combos so you might not want to be too trigger happy with that.
