I have a question.. Do you guys thing that these beautiful creatures could swallow a 5'9 relatively skinny male whole? I wouldn't struggle so you don't have to account for any resistance when you answer.

Also do we have any information on their reproductive organs? How intelligent are they? Is the snek able to learn human language? Does it have the necessary organs to speak?

But the most important question is: Is she able to dislocate her jaw enough to let me rest in her belly, while she lies naked on the bed carresing her newly enlarged stomach after a long sensual session of sex where I start around her hips and work my way up towards her perky scaly breasts before carefully kissing her and letting her swallow me whole.

Please I need this.

It kinda feels like XCOM should have lost a little later than they did, for story purposes. There should have been enough time for The Commander to show his quality, and for XCOM to prove itself as a worthy line of defense. Enough time for EXALT to reveal themselves, as well, if only so you could allude to them in the sequel.

Well, more like Anti-Alien control. They want to rule the world, not serve the aliens. They are more then ok with doing heavy gene modding to create super humans. There is evidence that EXALT was particularly fractured and suffered from in fighting though. So I imagine that EXALT split in two, those that wanted to get rid of the aliens by any means and those that believed that joining the aliens for the short term would lead them to the power they desired.

Bullshit.
EXALT became XCOM.
XCOM became ADVENT- the earth govs gave up quick so that they could stay in power. The aliens would have wanted a solid power base and a pre-established network of law enforcement & civilian control, so they'd take the weakling governments (and their soldiers) under their wing.
All of a sudden there's no need for EXALT- the earth govs have taken over their role much better than they ever could.
And I'm pretty sure the AYYs wouldn't have a use for a shadowy jewish banking consortium, so if the kikes ever got in their way the ayys would just get rid of them.
Ipso-presto, EXALT is XCOM.

That is not that hard to explain anon. EXALT made contact with them after capitulation day and led them to the Avenger.

EXALT
XCOM

X-ALT

They are alternate xcom, same goal of defeating the ayy, but using alternate methods.

They fuck with us to a) steal our tech and resources and b) prevent us from killing the ay as fast so they have more time to reverse engineer shit.

Exalt are slow as fuck and never tech above lasers or genemods.

I think this happen:
Xcom lost end of april, but the first EXALT mission would happen in may.
So Xcom never knew something about EXALT, beside of one single guy you must evac, but thats it.
After the war, EXALT got raided by aliens too, and the EXALT guys scattered around the world.

EXALT was always about to gain power, foremost with alien technology and Xcom make this possible. So the remaining EXALT forces join Xcom to get acess to the alien stuff. And because Xcom don't know who EXALT really is
they don't care about the Bandana.

Other theory:
EXALT fought against the aliens and people saw that. Their Bandana are now a sign of the resistance, and people who wear it never knew what EXALT really was.

I think you're trying too hard to play with phonetics. EXALT are post-humanist supremacists, they're quite literally turning themselves into a genetically altered "Master Race" to exalt themselves as the rulers of humanity.

Compare this to X-COM's goals, which are to counter and/or defeat the alien invasion using any means necessary. X-COM is a formal military organization whereas EXALT are quite clearly a private organization.

Notice that the Council of Nations are very shady in the game. They go out of their way to cover up the existence of X-COM and their activities. There's some real conspiracy theory illuminati shit going on behind the curtain, which leads me to believe that EXALT are some form of conspiracy by the global financial elite, whereas X-COM is a failsafe measure instituted by world governments.

>And because Xcom don't know who EXALT really is they don't care about the Bandana.
Basically this.
They're probably people who were in EXALT and got stomped by the ayys later on and they see XCOM as the next best way to rule the world.
Because lets face it, after XCOM got betrayed by the world governments while trying to save the very same governments would XCOM do anything other than be the ruling leadership after they save the world?
XCOM isn't really secretive anymore with open operations and trying to gain human support.
Or would they really reactive the exact same governments that stabbed them in the back?
>>
>>128573853
I don't think EXALT would come to/join XCOM.

EXALT can get *hit*, but they LIVE in the shadows. They get hit, they just cut losses and retreat and start building again.

XCOM on the other hand was a government organization. If their government pulls the rug out from under them, they get hit, they don't have any fallback positions or backup resources to tap into. They get *hit* and they'll fall down like a stack of bricks.

They both get hit, XCOM would scatter to the wind or be consumed, while EXALT would take the hit and keep on trucking, picking up the pieces of XCOM once they had stable footing again (like an alien transport ship).

But why can Xcom soldiers wear EXALT Bandanas ? I think in the future, there is no EXALT organisation left. Only some people who fight for Xcom as mercenaries.

Xcom wasn't really shattered, they didn't get the staff, except the commander.
EXALT on the other side was the military arm of some rich people, after you beat the EXALT HQ, you didn't even know their instigators.
I think after the aliens hit EXALT, the instigators dropped EXALT and joined ADVENT.

There is no EXALT organization left in the future, they folded into the generic resistance movements. You can recruit soldiers from the resistance. And those resistance troops could be former EXALT. Bam, exalt troops are part of xcom.

EXALT is not XCOM.
XCOM is not ADVENT.

You guys are reading too much into it.
It's simply a case that some EXALT (which no longer exists) members joined the XCOM resistance to carry on their fight.

Their bandannas are simply there as a reminder/left overs from a previous war.

It's more likely that a rich EXALT instigator (benefactor) wouldn't drop the program entirely, or would come back to the program, than anyone in XCOM could wizard enough money out of their anus to keep existing (even after being ousted & turned on by those who knew EVERYTHING about them).

I see no way for XCOM to have survived TOTAL ANNIHILATION except in scattered little pockets subsisting off the grid.

EXALT would have survived so long as they had a rich benefactor. And not even XCOM learned who that was in the last game.

Xcom was about idealism, EXALT only about money and power. You cannot kill idealism, but if you don't give merc no money, they will leave.
EXALT instigators saw a new way to keep their power: Join ADVENT. For them, not much changed, only the mercs had problems and scattered.

Xcom on the other side had good personal too so they get the Avenger and try to build up a resistance, because they want free the humankind.

I'm highly skeptical- I doubt the council would have been more secretive than the jewish illuminati. And the AYYs were mind-controlling them in the game-over screen.
If any of them knew anything about anyone else, they would have been found out and their brains picked.

>>128576650
Wouldn't be surprised. But then EXALT would be deader'n'doornails too, since bald-man got MC'd

>>128576651
Remember how EXALT liked to kill themselves instead of being captured?
There was more there than just money & power.

And besides, I don't think EXALT would be completely hounded down. Meanwhile their members were probably all rich fucks, so the mercs would still get money. They'd probably shrink in size, but they'd have enough resources to keep on doing things.

If EXALT personnel weren't good enough they could just hire the veteran XCOM members they tracked down. Shit those guys would probably work for free, double-bonus.

1mil makes a bit of sense for the equipment but then you recruit troopers at 15 credits
so 15 million for a trooper is still a HUGE stretch even if they were special forces soldiers , even with all of their training.
I think Brad in Gen Kill says each Force Recon is worth about $1mil in training, and thats dive school, mountain warfare school, ranger school on top of just boot and courses you take for your MOS.
I don't think a rookie can stack up to a FR Marine, and they aren't even the best I would imagine SFOD or SEALs push around five mil, but then again rookies do come with their own gear so maybe thats figured into the expense as well on top of supplies needed like food and board.

What you've got to remember is that rookies are far more competent than they seem during gameplay. Turnbased format means we see them peeking out of cover and having time to take aim before squeezing the trigger, whereas in reality they're probably poking their heads up and barely getting a few shots off before desperately ducking back in cover to avoid the ionized jets of plasma whizzing around all over the damn place, as a real soldier would if faced with that kind of firepower. I've zero doubrs they're humanity's finest even at rookie, before they get used to killing ayys for a living

They had some of the most advanced military hardware. Not quite as good as the US overall, but still leagues beyond the rest of the world. Even in the modern day they produce the most advanced missile systems on the planet making the US hardware look like a joke. Their economy, while not on par with the US, was pretty good and they had some of the best manufacturing technology on the planet. Overall I wouldn't put them above the US, but they were not at all far behind.

the only way to be fucked in vanilla is if you lose the tech rush and lose your a team and most of your b team.

You only lose the War when you lose the Air game. There's always some tiny scout for you to shoot down and regain resources.

Not just that, but relationships in general.

Dynamic relationships would be interesting. For example, if a trooper was the only survivor as well as the commander of a failed mission, everyone fucking hates him and get negative mods while with him.
>>
>>128608156
It's okay to trash a campaign and start over. I recently started a vanilla campaign after months of long war and forgot how short it is, as a result I spent too much time researching other things instead of getting beam weapons. why are mecs and genetic implants such shit

mecs never land a plasma cannon shot and genetic implants are so expensive for minimal effect. I'd understand if you could research one on maybe one tech tree that gave tiny alien bonuses to your whole squad but 6 days + meld + money for better aim after missing and a second heart is bad

>>128608553
Getting sat and interceptor coverage is key. You should ALWAYS have at least a handful of satellites building at any given time, and have a set up block of uplinks going. The only countries you can afford to lose is south america, and MAYBE africa/asia. Europe and north america have two very important maintenance cost reductions on them.

>>128608961

Mec's are good as heavy support in the right situation and don't pick up steam until they are high ranked in higher tier armor, every tier their armor goes up they get new equipment to use. Flamers are good, but i prefered fisto because it gives them +3 move. Proxy mines are OP, grenades are alright, stun fart is okay and the heal fart is okay but medkits do it better.

Implants are fucking amazing, shut the hell up about that. Maybe not all of them are great, but jumpy legs, and neural feedback/dampening are good on just about anyone.
>>
>>128608961
MECs have Heavy-aim progression but inherit every stat on conversion, a Colonel Sniper MEC will land every shot for massive damage. Their real power is in the overpowered Mine which lets you plant them before the pod is even activated

Gene mods are bad, the only really overpowered one is Memetic skin which lets you land squadsight shots with impunity.

MECs inherit the stats of the class and have a growth pattern similar to heavy. If you want an early MEC, use a heavy but it will take twice as long for him to gain EXP to reach colonel compared to a meatbag, Use a Sniper Colonel if you want to maximize aim and an assault if you want mobility
>>
>>128611216

The base trooper affects both the Mec's special ability and its stats

Base special abilities:
Assault = CLOSE RANGE damage reduction
Heavy = Closest enemy can't crit and lower aim
Sniper = Shooting without moving boosts aim and crit
Support = Nearby allies have the effectiveness of cover boosted

>>
>>128614217
I ONLY SORT OF UNDERSTAND THIS

HUNKER DOWN SEEMS SHITTY
>>
>>128614435

It will literally save your life

Remember, the very nature of the game means that unless you operate operationally and clear every single enemy group you see as soon as you make contact, you'll get dragged into a firefight. For every shot that gets taken, there's a chance that you could get hit. And the ayys will get far more shots at you than you will at them.

HUNKER DOWN minimizes their chances of fatally murdering any of your troopers. Know when to use it - if there's a chance that the ayy could get a flank, don't hunker. If your best shot is a 20% chance and you can't possibly break LOS, move to best cover and hunker.

In this way will you free humanity.

The idea of XCOM in a post invasion world where XCOM won has always been interesting. Just seeing how the soldiers reintegrate especially after EW adding Meld. XCOM becoming some sort of extra-national peace keeping force in the aftermath while retaining all the soldiers and tech that countries are scrambling to get ahold for their own purposes.

Imagine what it would be like to be a regular soldier in some unit tasked with recovering some illegal alien technology and then all of a sudden a fucking squad of XCOM soldiers blow through the fucking wall with a giant MEC leading the charge. Suddenly two of your squadmates turn you while another guy clad in power armor appears out of fucking nowhere and takes you down but before you go down you see another guy in short sleeves just jump 40 feet straight up to reach the roof.

A squad of XCOM soldiers would be a goddamned nightmare to encounter. Which is why I think it's so interesting. The whole he who fights monsters thing where XCOM as viewed by the rest of the world is now this terrifying entity whose technology is far beyond anything else on the planet and whose soldiers are utterly and completely unstoppable.

XCOM was created to protect Earth and her people. Bradford wouldn't go all rogue with the Commander and become world wide dictators. They still have allegiance to humanity.
They would most likely keep all of their supplies and technology under lock down in case of another invasion.
You can easily argue another would come since people now days are worried about invayysions now imagine how that would change after we have proof aliens are real and want to hurt us.
Any government who wanted to shut down the program would get shamed saying they did not care about the well being of its people.
>>
The only thing that matters as yo whether the world turns on them is if the council betrays them too. With proper timing and Intel xcom could be trapped in there base and never escape. All exits would be pumped with radiation or nerve gas or whatever and then all exits would be destroyed and monitored. Remember that even xcom agents in power armor can die to rifle fire. No one in the world knows who they are, so no outcry from the world's population. However, if the council doesn't betray them, then XCOM had room to maneuver.
>>
>>128618995
Even having access to basic ayylium alloys is enough for armor beyond anything we have. A 6 man gene-modded squad in Archangel and Titan armor, and with MEC support would still be a match for EXALT x5
>>
>>128619142
Bradford and the commander don't have the final say anon. The council does. A bit of paperwork and Bradfor and the commander are replaced with people more loyal to the council. Besides, how can XCOM really protect the Earth and humanity with all these pesky nations running around, having their own little conflicts. Things would be better if everyone just gave up their autonomy. Don't worry, it will be alright, you trust good old friendly XCOM don't you?
>>
>>128616703
I wonder what would cause the biggest shitstorm out of all the shit XCOM has researched and uncovered. Gene modification and Cyborgs are up there but I really think psionics would cause the largest shitstorm in history.

Imagine Geo-Politics if there were legit ass psychics walking around who could mind control people? By that factor alone XCOM would either be instantly nuked the SECOND the threat was gone or they would never be disbanded and all their members quarantined and limited to whatever section of the country XCOM inhabits.

So I've been watching a ton of gameplay and there's 1 thing that I don't get

You do the objective, for example destroy something or hack some station and than the objective is

>Kill remaining hostiles
But what about the evac call?
Wasn't that supposed to be a huge deal?
Escaping with it?

And most importantly, do you lose the mission if you use it to evac after doing the objective?

Is there any mention of EXALT in it?
>>
>>128623541
None.
>>
>>128623005
>>128623392
Like he said a contain but there is also the second DLC which hints at "Ruler" aliens which are not Ethereals and how they will result in more advanced tech than what you got in the main game.

So either of those can be the secondary threat but if it's the "Ruler" aliens which are presumably the aliens the Ethereals were shitscared of you want encounter them until the DLC comes out. Hell they could be behind the Contagion and why ADVENT is so hard pressed to complete the AVATAR project. The other Ayys figured out where the Ethereals have been for the past 20 years and are coming for them.
>>
>>128623541
Some objectives you can complete and evac after with no consequences, some require you to mop up remaining enemies, and some you absolutely have to evac.

Its a definite mix.
>>
>>128623541
Several of the missions like blacksite/alien base raids have evac zones, along with VIP missions.

>And most importantly, do you lose the mission if you use it to evac after doing the objective?

No. Back in the December gameplay previews someone played like total shit and wiped their squad, but since they did the hack objective it was considered a successful mission.

So how good is the novel?

Nope. Just bits about XCOM from some of the survivors. RIP Big Sky :(

WHAT
>>
>>128623887
It's alright. Nothing too fancy, but for $10 it was worth a little back story and killing some time until the game comes out.
>>
>>128624041
Well fuck you Fireaxis
There's now a woman flying the skyranger
Cancer game

>people are not talking about the fact that XCOM can hijack a battleship and just destroy whatever

While working on the Avenger, Shen Jr. and a squad have to go acquire the new Skyranger from an airfield in France. Shen Jr. mentions it is one of the many prototypes that were being worked on during the initial invasion, but none of them saw any action after the first Skyranger was shot down. He could have survived, but there's no mention of him besides that.

Jake: "When your psi operative - they get sort of like all white hair and the purple eyes once their actually trained as a psi operative so they're very different. And they've got this big floating ball of psionic energy floating over their shoulder."
Pete: "That's the psi amp."
Jake: "Yeah. They are VERY cool."
White hair and purple eyes? Is this fucking fanfiction? They had better be customizable back to whatever color they had before.

Somebody needs to put a fucking leash on Jake. Preferably me.

>>128623887
I'd give it a 3/5. Readable, but I never really cared about any of the characters and some idiot ball decisions were made. But I will give the author credit, he thought of quite a few interesting projections of what life would be like in that world.

What the fuck?
Can you change this back or what?
Can people even get PSI in the build they've been given?

XCOM is sitting on the world's only source of Elerium.

I think that's worth a lot more shekels than any pretty metals.

That only source being those two alien ships they downed before the aliens took over...sitting at XCOM...that the Ayylmaos blew up minutes after the council abandoned them.

>Also what happens to landed UFOS after you clear them of ayy lmaos? Do you tear them apart or blow them up?

I think the XCOM equivalent of a clean up team shows up and breaks down the whole thing for shipping. How else do you cart back those power cores and alium metals back to base, surely not in the Skyranger.
>>
>>128626046
I mean, if the remains of the ufo are left intact then you surely could put back the power source and essential parts and make a working ship
>>
>>128626156
I don't think XCOM has quite that much technical know-how. By the end of EW, XCOM is very technologically advanced but hardly at the same level as the aliums.

I think it's a PSI only customization. I kinda like it.

Also it's hardly the worst you can get in terms of bad fanfiction OC physical traits. So cool your tits.

I'm just fond of the idea that power corrupts, especially when magic is said power. Given that psionics is basically space magic, I like that units that cultivate their talent for the ability and use it are given a clear physical marker of it's touch.
