talk about a wasted opportunity, here.
Should I host a 99 Tickets BOUNTY HUNTER match for 30 minutes? Would that be too boring or should I set the tickets a little lower?
If you guy's wanna play the tags are "BOUNTY HUNTER only, Quick skirmishes, Rookies welcome
I still can't get into MGO through MGSV. mgsv closes and nothing happens when I hit the option in the menu.
I have already tried verifying integrity of game cache, opting in and out of beta, running the mgo.exe in compatability and administrator mode, and reinstalling the ENTIRE game.
help please I just wanna play
>tfw stomping on challenge FOBs
>tfw reckless as shit with no consequences
>tfw found an exploit that gets you to max rank in about 15 minutes
>tfw need a partner to do it and i have no friends because cheater scum
what's so wrong about wanting to use the serval already
>but it's perfectly acceptable for men to need "convincing"
>every fucking time
>every god damn bounty hunter match im in
>host is some retard fuck who doesn't speak english

Isn't this the collectors edition REX hat?
I didn't even buy CE and i have it.
>expect to fight some unholy salahanthropus-tier totem-pole of tanks
i dont know whether to laugh or cry
maybe you should give them a hand and shoot the fulton.
PC didn't get a collectors edition
is there any headgear you can combine with shades/goggles?
>When the konami servers disconnect you when you're about to finish a lvl 44 4/4 FOB undetected
I can't even do a 3/4 without a defender around, how do you fuckers do it? i try to use audio decoys to lure guards so they don't call in any suspicious shit, but there's so fucking many at lvl 30+
What's the point of that drawing style for a comic like that? I don't get it... people say it's for publiciy, but it's not like someone is gonna look for your boob-themed funny comics so they can jerk off.
I abuse the fast rolling thing ( prone + aim + run sideways )
when i get to the last bridge i mark and sniper tranq the stairs guards and place sleep mines on the end of the stairs, then i turn off lights and use that marking drug to sneak away.
But im still a beginner and i have trouble infiltrating complex FOBs as well.
Thats why connection falling right at the end is beyond horrible.
Watch some YT infiltrations as well it helps
im trying to set up my voice shit because its WAAAAY too sensitive by default, but the prompt isnt showing up when I open free play.
does this anon mean the file with "CONFIG_DATA" in the name or the "MGO_GAME_DATA"?
>boot up MGO for the first time ( missed MGS4 MGO )

>you'll get better as you learn the maps and the typical flow as the game goes
It's team deathmatch, of course people are gonna be running and gunning. That's how it was in MGO2.
True, some spent a whole lifetime being pissed off about it.
>throw magazines like palestinians throw rocks.
>mfw trowing all my spare sleep grenades and stun grenades down the stairs when im at the cores door
tfw finally get the hang of cqc against other players
tfw infiltrator shitters need their badly done camo to get in close
tfw they get salty as this enforcer racks up a 13 bounty every round and nobody can get close
So what's the method of waking up from a tranq with mouse & KB? It says to spam wasd + E but that's tough to do with one hand. Is it better to hit A and D while hitting E, which is impossible with one hand or does it want me to hit wasd in a circular motion like a analog stick while hitting E?
>have to different loadouts for defender and attacker
>defender has lethal items and weapons
>attacker has non-lethal items and weapons
>forget to switch loadout
>spawn as defender without anything but cardboard box
>hide near objective
>grap attacker and cut his throat
>grap another attacker and cut his throat
People are completely ignoring the box.
speaking of box is the cardboard box useful for FOB infiltrations? never seen anyone use it and i don't have the balls to try it myself
i also suck at advanced cardboard box techniques
>i try to use audio decoys to lure guards so they don't call in any suspicious shit,
>i try to use audio decoys to lure guards
audio decoys are regular decoys in FOB infiltrations, use stun decoys or mags. also decoys can be used as a stun mine if you active them when the enemy is on top of them ( useful against lvl 5 lethal armor cunts )
>audio decoys are regular decoys in FOB infiltrations
regular decoys cant get attention through walls or around corners. i also use e-decoys. i always forget about knocking out with decoys...
Wear a camo that's meant for FOBs (Squares, Old Rose, Parasite Mist or Steel Grey) and just roll around the outside perimeter of the decks. It's absurdly effective. Even when a guard glimpses you they just stand there dumbfounded for a few seconds which gives you enough time to just roll away.
I thought greg miller was our voice.
Wha happened ?
Also instead of decoys, shoot a suppressed weapon somwhere you want the guy to look.
He'll hear the sound of the shot and turn around immediately.
Way better than decoys.
The voice of our generation.
Kojima said it so it's the truth.
They won't be on alert.
Shoot it somwhere behind them, they'll turn around and then think it was their imagination.
It works much like throwing a magazine if you shoot a TRANQ weapon, just much much faster.
>cqc on kb+m is shit
>shooting on gamepad is shit
>Throw guy off a walker gear
>cap him twice with tranq pistol
>he stands up and just shoots me
>as he runs away he gets shot in the back by my team-mate who was just watching it happen
I guess I'll just stick to going nuclear.
Theres a Tranq sniper rifle that insta knocks out any one except for an Enforcer with the Tank 2 or 3 perk. The method of tranqing people is to slam them on the ground and then shoot them once with a tranq pistol to knock them out.
I can understand tranq when up close to fulton, but why tranq at long range? You can't fulton unless you co-ordinate with someone else and you'll probably be better off just killing instead of waiting for them to wake up.
>but why tranq at long range?
-It takes a long time to break out of sleep
-Gives you points for the knock out
-Allows you to mark the enemy while knocked out
-Allows another teammate who is close to the enemy to move in to fulton
Hey, I'm pretty bad at aiming. What can I do to be of value to my team? So far I've just been doing Scout and marking every chance I get, but it seems like I'm wasting potential since I can't land snipe shots. Should I change classes?
Some use enforcer, others play scout and then there are infiltrators.
The point is, make up your own mind shitbag.
None of my progress saves, I level up after a game and the game after my level is down to 1 again.
Don't leave the match before it's over.
It's not because it says 'LEVEL UP KAWAIIDUTYY xD" that you actually levelled up already.
You have to sit the match out and wait for the scoreboard to tally up your exp tell you what you've earned.
I hate it so much. It feels so out of place for a MGS game.
no bully pls
I support lots of randoms ( indirect retaliation is great for finding scrublords ) but no one supports back
Also here is the magical story of the first person to invade me.
0:00 intruder appeared from wormhole
0:25 intruder detected
0:26 intruder detected
0:26 security moved to alert status
01:37 intruder detected by infrared sensor
01:45 intruder neutralised by gunfire ( UAV )
I fucking do, I played 4 matches with the same people and got reset every time, you cunt.
Then it's another issue. My apologies for trying to be helpful you miserable fuck.
>The Sovereign and Hans Gruber die in the same week
>yfw you realize the English vocal cord parasite strain is real
>I might've seen you a few times as a infiltration target.
you can't expect me to get online or bullshit collection filler trophies.
Should be one shot anywhere. A more fool-proof style of play would be to CQC slam someone, equip your box, and sprint over their body. You'll have to hit enforcers twice but you should have no problem doing that since you're stuck on the ground for a few seconds.
do the different armor platings for 500gp do different things on enforcer or is it just aesthetics?
>not enjoying cinematic widescreen
I love 1600x900!
>when the enemy FOB guard sees you but you can't get a shot at his angle
>yfw reflex mode waiting for shit to fuck up
I need something a little more in-depth than the Konami description. For one, I assume you can't change classes after your choose.
I like being sneaky breeki 90% of the time and being tricky, but sometimes I also like to just load up and murder people and also truly love CQC. At least, that's how it is in the single-player. Would Infiltrator work? What exactly do the classes do other than being light, medium, and heavy?
Also, can I opt out of the beta now or do I still need it to play?
is there any rhyme or reason to why the camo randomly fails in the disk retrieval mode? I'll be completely unseen by anyone and itll just shut down for seemingly no reason
i'm trying to talk about this on leddit
devs are there
and everybody's like "what did you expect?"
A rough start, a hell of a road to walk and a heart crushing ending.
I hope you can get past the fact that it's an older game and you get to enjoy it for what it is.
That part isn't in beta and isn't going to be fixed.
That's just the way the game is meant to be.
Maybe they'll work on better host migration but they already addressed it so they've probably made the fix they're going to make to it.
Plush puppy is the true MVP, holy shit.
>Slap them in choke points
>nobody ever notices them even if they're blatantly in the open
>place them on Scouts so people get pupped when they try CQC them
>put them behind you when retreating to lure people into it
>perfect for setting up easy fultons
>gives you +100xp for just distracting someone
>gives you xp so you know when someone blundered into it
>can easily deploy them with stealth camo
the main objective of the rest of this thread is to scour the internet and find a better screenshot from MGSV than this
you'll need it
why are all the colors for any of the fatigues/chestrigs so goddamn expensive
who's going to play a minimum of 10 games just to change their camo from olive to brown
I always enjoy looking at this one
Before the game was released, Kojima explained that Snake would become venomous, a deamon.
If I was Venom,
and I am and so are youeven if you put all that stuff about erasing my identity aside and say I'm cool with that, I'd still be slightly pissed off that they actually went and deliberatly fucked my eye up after all I'd been through.
>cleverly place mine around corner
>teammate stumbles onto your mine
>he shoots it
>tfw mgo is one of only game that panders to right eye blind people when creating chars
anyone else notice how awesome the new MB camo is?
I wasn't a lie. The original Snake abandoned one of his greatest friends and swore off the lives of his allies and losses, and passed it all to another close friend whom he brainwashed to take his place. He then went behind the scenes and lived his life in a way that I imagine was fairly normal, while tampering with events occasionally and trying to start a nuclear-enforced state of constant war as a dream. He sacrificed everyone who ever held him dear to do it, and eventually showed up to try and kill his disarmed son to ensure success. About two decades later, he shows up and goes "I'm sorry, that was all wrong, I'm going to die now, whoops, sorry about all that."
He absolutely became a demon. We were just watching the other man.
Just color it wood. That's what I do, I've been using a wood furnished "Totally not a FAL" since I started the game.
So did you just not play the Truth, or were you just not paying attention?
Venom didn't know until pretty late in the game. Ocelot didn't technically, Kaz didn't either. He had his identity erased. And even aside from that, the rest still stands.
Zero's plan was basically to have V die in the hospital. It was BB's idea to use him to build his forces while he took control of foxhound in the west.
Also according to kojima this game is about "turning into a demon" because Big Medic is turning into big boss, which was a demon by the end of mgspw.
Anyone who thinks that big boss wasn't evil at the end of pw is retarded.
BB was ultra complicit on account of shrugging and going with it, but all the brainwashing happened while he was out. Can't do nothing about that.
It was pretty damn evil when he shot a picture of Chico then conscripted him as a child soldier
No he didn't.
Zero didn't say anything about Venom to him and Ocelot hypnotized himself to forget about Big Boss because Venom was to become Big Boss in his place. No one knew about it.
Yeah, but it's even less subtle than that.
Nukes are the absolute evil in the universe of mgs. Big Boss builds nukes.
The Boss is jesus christ almighty in the universe of mgs and the most good and loving person who ever lived. Big Boss rejects her.
What the fuck do people think when they say that he isn't the bad guy by the end of pw? It's spelled out for them
Dagger and Cloak sure is fun.
I like playing the same match five times in a row without getting anything out of because the first guy that dies is always the host and he always quits and the game starts over.
I like Dagger and Cloak. It's my favorite game mode.
Such a lust for animals?
Nigga are you stupid? The final conversation is entirely about Kaz knowing. He saw big medic in the hospital with the horn. He and zero discuss it. In the final conversation he says that he will stay with the phantom to make him stronger so that he can fight big boss.
that would also be you, yes
seriously how can you not get that kaz found out really early on from the post credits conversation and somehow claim that it's other people who can't follow the plot
Guys I need some help
A friend of mine is going to come over to check out the game, and I wish for him to experience it from the start. So, I want to delete my save data (I backed it up) and have him start a new temporary one
Would my FOB get deleted from the servers if I delete my save game? Or is it safe to
1. Delete save game
2. Have him play
3. Overwrite his save with mine
4. Have my FOB still exist and everything be normal
Or would it just be easier to family-share it, have him log into my computer with his steam account and have him play it there?
And when do you think the final conversation takes place chronologically? Just because it comes at the end of the game doesn't mean it comes at the end of the game's series of events.
what if chico were a girl?
and also not dead or Quiet
I take it more as he found out at that point, as if Truth and the after-credits happened after Mission 49. I can't imagine the whole thing playing out the way it did if the cat was out of the bag the whole time. Kaz and Ocelot were always at each other's throats, but there's things like Eli showing up and Ocelot not even considering it after the blood test (Because of the hypnosis) and all sorts of little bits like that.
There's no reason Miller wouldn't let the Medic know, at least not one I can think of, that would actually affect the way Diamond Dogs ran. There is, also, absolutely no reason for Ocelot, quadruple spymaster supreme, to let Miller in on a huge fucking secret that he had no reason to know; matter of fact, it would probably be straight-up detrimental, so for Ocelot to out of the blue drop "Hey, Boss abandoned you and this is the Medic, now I'm going to go around the corner and perform self-hypnosis and forget any of this happened, especially this conversation!" makes no fucking sense.
I imagine that all happened at whatever point Venom figures out, which, to me, is right where you finally get to be shown yourself in-game.
It happens after mission 2, Ocelot has not hypnotized himself yet and he just got rescued. So he recognized the horn and is pissed off about it. He knows about the ruse for the rest of the game.
Ocelot knows in the conversation. He hypnotizes himself after mission 2 (since he spells out his doublethink formula in that one) and the first time he meets up with legless miller (you can hear his cane in the background) is after they rescue him. So the conversation takes place sometime after mission 2, it can't be at the end.
Also miller knows because he is the fucking person to which they point out that medic has a huge shrapnel protruding from his head. He saw him in the hospital. He talked about it with Zero. He knows from the beginning, the thing he is pissed off about is that it was venom that came to rescue him and not big boss.
No, you've got it mixed up. Ocelot did not know at that time. He had no clue Boss was alive, he hypnotized himself as soon as he sent him back to the states and got Venom rolling, or maybe even on the ship over. Miller never visited the hospital, or, at least, had no clue Big Boss was there, and thought he was Venom. Zero never mentions it, he tells him about Big Boss in the hospital and says to take care of him. The part where he swears to stay by Venom's side to fight Big Boss is when he talks to Ocelot. He was never presented Venom as anything other than the real Big Boss, until much later on.
Ocelot had to break the hypnosis at some point after because he clearly knows by MGS4, and more likely MGS1.
Poor Miller, though. He really got screwed. I wonder how he and Venom were after they both knew. I imagine they'd become good friends, to an extent. The Medic clearly cared enough to actually stay and help make the dream possible, rather than just abandon Kaz like BB.
So everything else in my post is right and I got one detail wrong, congratulations, you are a tough guy on the internet. Doesen't change the fact that he saw venom with a horn in the hospital first hand.
Croc cap is the only acceptable joke hat.
Family Sharing. I tried to do much the same thing about a month after the game came out and it would keep pulling my save data from somewhere, even with the cloud save turned off and all local data deleted. Less hassle to just share the game. Not sure about the FOB, though.
Ocelot knows up until mission two. He self-hypnotizes himself after that.
I know this because he says "2+2=5" if you shoot him, which is codeword for his doublethink which would break his hypnosis if it were active. It makes sense since the prologue (and thus the man who sold the world), mission 1 and mission 2 all happen in a short span of time.
The final conversation had to take place sometime after mission 2, since Ocelot did not get the hypnosis yet and miller already has his peg leg. It doesen't make sense for it to take place at the end of the game because Ocelot hypnosis was set to be removed after big boss resurfaced, and they'd have no reason to be together at that point. Instead Miller mentions that they'll have to get used to co-existing because they proceed on living on DD's base together for the rest of the game.
Also Miller has to know because he saw the medic get the shrapnel in the head himself at the hospital, it was shown in the truth mission. He knows that big boss has both arms and no shrapnel and he knows that medic lost an arm and has the shrapnel, he'd have to be retarded not to figure it out.
This alone is honestly the best argument that Kaz didn't know.
There is no way Ocelot wouldn't have trusted himself with the truth, but trusted Kaz with it.
I assumed Kaz agreed to be hypnotized after the post-credits conversation.
>I know this because he says "2+2=5" if you shoot him, which is codeword for his doublethink which would break his hypnosis if it were active.
Implying that isnt a fun little easter egg for people who thought to shoot him.
I did just remember the scene at the very start, he does see him with the shrapnel, but I'm sure they've done something to tamper with his memory or told him differently, something like that. There's no reason Ocelot would tell him what's going on and then immediately go "Oh, you're going to use this to make Venom and the children to get stronger and go after the real Boss, who I am trying to help? Well, I trust this is in good hands, I'm going to go hypnotize myself and go along with your plans, nothing can go wrong with that."
Nah, I don't buy that at all.
Yeah, I realized that after rethinking the Zero call. I'm just saying that I don't think Ocelot would let that slide. The problem is so much happens out of order and off-screen. I imagine they brainwashed Kaz a little to fix that memory, because there is no way that Zero and Ocelot, meticulous as they both were on either side of the fight, were going to just leave that detail hanging and just let Kaz do whatever.
He does. They trusted the Medic because, I assume, he was pretty much their best man. After all, he was the guy on Morpho 24/7 to handle medical and extraction duties, personally, for the Boss, so they had a certain level of trust for him. He also was dedicated enough to see this all through after he found out, at whatever point. I'm sure Kaz saw that and appreciated him actually caring about the dream he and Snake supposedly shared, and cared enough to literally become Snake and try and keep it going and avenge their comrades.
To anyone who has bought the items requiring real money, are the items exchangeable per character or is it for that sole character only?
Also people who say MGO will be dead are retarded, it feels exactly like the old ones except obviously it lacks in maps.
I guess this guy was right then >>128573236
I guess there has to be a reason why the wiki is 90% fanfiction, people will argue that stuff that is actually in the game doesen't count because it contradicts their headcanon.
Explain to me how miller could be in the dark if he was in the hospital with both big boss and venom snake and he knows which one had the wounds. And don't give me the 'he's bilnd' bullshit because he looks directly at him and the doctors tell him his situation.
hat3=Military Cap/Busker Cap
hat4=Croc Cap (best hat)
hat17=! Hat (dlc already in game confirmed)
>finally get MGO
This is awful. Can only make manface butch women in the creator have to grind or pay for bikini, gameplay is literally CoD
What the absolute fuck
>Explain to me how miller could be in the dark if he was in the hospital with both big boss and venom snake
Easy - he WASN'T in the hospital. That scene took place some time between the crash and Big Boss and Venom's transfer to the hospital.
So for you Ocelot removed his hypnosis for no reason, Kaz knew but he forgot completely what happened to both big boss and medic (but he is sane enough to remember at which hospital he was at and he seemed completely lucid during the zero phonecall) and the 2+2=5 thing doesen't count and this is all somehow more believable than the conversation happening at the beginning of the game? You realize you are making stuff up to enforce your headcanon, right?
The man who wants to steal from other players but doesn't want multiplayer is going to talk shit about literacy?
You CAN get S++ guys from the Events. You can't get many of them, but you can certainly get some. And you can play the Events all you want without seeing a single player.
he is right there. He saw big boss. He asks about medic. They answer him "he took some shrapnel to the head".
This scene was in some of the trailers AND in ground zeroes as well, did you even play the game?
You will never escape the CoD playstyle. Its the most effective way to play this unbalanced trash, so of course people are gonna do it. Few people will willingly gimp themselves for muh tactical immersion.
Go play something else.
TLoU multiplayer shitfest is more tactical than this.
He's right, that was the whole "What about him?" part where they tell Kaz he's missing an arm and took shrapnel to the head. I assume they just fucked with his head about it, later, because there is no reason for them to try and tell Kaz whatever then expect him to just go with their plan despite explicitly stating he was going to mess with it. He'd also be unlikely to actually care about Venom or his orders, at that point, but it's debatable.
There's really too much left off-screen and presented out of order to really get it 100%, but if it's that, then Ocelot's an idiot and that's more than a little poorly written.
>Kaz knew but he forgot completely what happened to both big boss and medic
I've had family who've been in accidents or had medical problems which sent them to the hospital in life or death condition. It is certainly possible Kaz would forget.
>can only make manface women
you literally suck with the creator
>crying about the bikini
>gameplay is literally cod
Im guessing you only recently turned 18 or something because MGO3 is exactly the same gameplay as the past MGO1-2. Kill yourself.
DLC LITERALLY ALREADY IN THE GAME
Kaz knew, what was he supposed to do about it, lie?
Yeah, that guy who has the same exact wounds as medic is big boss, I swear!
Kaz says that he will stay with venom to make him stronger and that fits Ocelot's plans, there was no reason to do anything about it. Ocelot even says that he might kill him someday. You have to keep in mind that Kaz built diamond dogs and that the men respect him, so Ocelot killing him would turn DD against him. But at the same time Kaz also needs the Big Boss icon to keep DD going, so he can't just fuck with his head like that. Overall they were all just forced into the situation. It's a lot easier to believe that kaz knew all along rather than believing that he forgot everything, while ocelot removed his hypnosis at the end just to tell him about it for no reason, while he was already hypnotized when you can hear him say his codeword in the second mission of the game, just to fit someone's fanfiction.
>I assume they just fucked with his head about it
This is a good thing to assume! Brainwashing works easily in MGS, and Ocelot sure as fuck wasn't going to let Kaz be more informed about Big Boss than himself.
Are you on the fucking autism spectrum? Consider getting diagnosed, because you clearly don't get how a narrative works.
The whole fucking game, Kaz is driven to brink of madness by his need for revenge, desperately scraping to reclaim the things he's lost, WITH the man he built everything with in the first place. It's a very powerful intention. The idea that at any point he knew it wasn't big boss, COMPLETELY DESTROYS THE PURPOSE OF KAZ AS A CHARACTER.
And he very fact youre using a trailer as the basis of your shit argument against Kaz's entire character arc makes me hope you fucking kill yourself.
>you're using a trailer
you didn't play the game, that cutscene is in the game
Kaz is in the hospital with big boss and venom and he knows exactly who has which wounds
The whole point is that Kaz is driven by revenge against big boss as much as he is against Skullface. He wants to make Venom into a leader as strong as big boss to face him. The fact that you need to insult someone because they told you that your fanfiction is not canon says a lot about you, tumblr might be more up to your speed, but you are literally ignoring and dismissing parts of the game just to make it fit into your own narrative which is pathetic. Write a book or something
>You have to keep in mind that Kaz built diamond dogs and that the men respect him
No, they don't. If you walk around mother base you can even hear soldiers complaining about him.
He's the XO, but it's Venom/BB they look up to.
The whole game goes on about how Venom (under the assumption that he's BB) is a legend. Soldiers on the battlefield talk about him, morale drops when he's not on MB.
As much as I like Kaz, and no matter how good he might be at leading MB, most of the soldiers fear him.
On another note, I'm pretty sure Kaz didn't know about Venom not being BB.
His hatred comes from the nine years taken from him and the loss of the original MB.
But hey, that's just my opinion.
To be fair that appears in the game, twice. It isn't just trailer bait. However, what you said is right. No matter how "forced" they all may be into the situation, there is too many tells showing that he didn't, or that it at least wouldn't have made sense. The way his brainwashing works, who knows, maybe Big Boss was already active again in '85. Point is it makes no sense with Kaz.
Fucking seriously. He was in a seriously traumatic accident. Assuming he even remembered it clearly then, he was in a hospital for however long, albeit shortly, according to Zero. They could easily just brainwash him with how often that happens in this series.
Also, hold the fuck up. HOLY SHIT WE'RE ALL RETARDED, BECAUSE NONE OF THIS MATTERS.
Guess what? Kaz never sees the Boss in-hospital, right? Not even once. He knows Venom has the horn, right? Wants Boss back, Zero tells him to be there for them?
When is the first time Kaz sees Venom after the accident?
That's right, never. He literally never sees Venom, he's blind by the time he's saving him in Afghanistan. The only way he'd know about the horn is if he felt at it on his head, and it's doubtful he notices the arm, either. He sounds the same. He'd have no clue until someone let him know.
Why are so many people convinced that he didn't know when you see him in the hospital with big boss and medic commenting about the situation of both though?
Nowhere in the game is it implied that he forgot, he remembers everything else.
This is also entirely based on the conversation at the end taking place after the game, which would mean that Ocelot woke up one day, broke his hypnosis, and told Kaz about it for no reason. It makes absolutely zero sense. That conversation only makes sense if Kaz realized that venom was not big boss and confronted Ocelot about it.
>The only way he'd know about the horn is if he felt at it on his head
>Boss, c'mere, I need to grope your forehead a little bit
>never mind why, just hold still for like two minutes
>you didn't play the game, that cutscene is in the game
It's in GZ, as a fucking showcase for TPP.
>Kaz is in the hospital with big boss
No they arent.
>He knows exactly who has which wounds
This argument is baseless. We know fuck all. He couldve forgotten. I could argue 100 different reasons for this minuscule inconsistency, but theyre based on nothing, because it's never mentioned in canon. "He knows exactly which wounds" is based, on NOTHING. That is YOUR HEADCANON. What ISN'T based on nothing, and IS highlighted in canon, are Kaz's entire intentions. Play peacewalker. He only gives a fuck about being by big boss's side. The fact youre telling me to go to tumblr and throwing the word "headcanon" around is fucking hilarious, I can imagine your fat little fists shaking when you type because someone on the internet knows better and wont go along with your shit interpretation.
"A Visionary robbed of his Future"
At the very least, he doesn't see so very good anymore, clearly. At that point he might not even notice still.
Fucking seriously, never happened.
It's right here, in the truth mission. Literally the first thing you see. He is next to both Big Boss and Venom. Play the game next time instead of reading up about it in the wiki.
yeah okay its there too? How does that effect the argument of "Kaz knew it was venom" in the slightest? He fucking didnt because it makes no sense and destroys him as a character if he did. get over it.
I'm not saying that he doesen't have vision problems because he obviously does, but at the end of the game you can see that he is able to see at least a bit. A big horn and a metal hand would be kinda hard to miss, especially considering how ocelot comments about venom's cyborg hand in front of him when asking if he wants one too.
He was looking at both of you, and clearly should've remembered who had a horn shaped piece of shrapnel lodged to his head, since the doctor answered him.
He wasn't lying down or whatever, he was looking at Big Boss and your character, yet he is somehow supposed to be shocked in the credits ending.
>BUT HE WAS IIIIIIN THE ROOOOOM
Who cares that Kaz was there? It's trivial to make him forget what he heard, or even that he was there at all. And that's assuming he even remembered correctly/at all WITHOUT brainwashing!
>he sees him
>w-well it still doesen't count
fucking pathetic. Is he your husbando or something?
In the final conversation Ocelot and Kaz discuss Venom not being big boss. What happened in your head? Did Ocelot just wake up one day, broke is hypnosis and decided to tell him? Why?
Also why would it destroy his character? Do you write slashfic between kaz and big boss? He is after revenge from bb as much as he is from skullface, his motivations are spelled out at the end: he wants to make venom stronger so he can take on big boss.
Again he knew that big boss did not have the same wounds as venom snake because he was there with them. There is no evidence in the game anywhere that he forgot, in fact he remembers everything else clearly. Even if he were blind when Venom saved him (which he isn't, since he is able to aim his gun at Skullface's limbs and does other stuff that a blind man couldn't do) Ocelot openly discusses Venom having a cyborg arm with him.
There is literally no evidence to what you are saying other than "I really want Kaz to be gay for big boss", while you keep ignoring stuff that is said in the actual game (that you didn't play) just because it fits your fanfiction better.
Think of a better retort than
Because I'm the one posting stuff from the game and you are the one saying NO IT'S LIKE I SAID BECAUSE OTHERWISE IT MAKES NO SENSE
>Cloak and Dagger
>Attackers are supposed to be stealthy
>Every defender sees when you knock out a guy, stun a guy, kill a guy, fulton a guy or steal data disc
How the fuck is one supposed to play infiltrator if there is even ONE smart guy on the defenders.
>posts stuff from the game that proves him wrong
>OMG GET HELP LOL GUYS HE MUST BE CRAZY FOR PLAYING THE ACTUAL GAME RIGHT GUYS????
play the game next time instead of reading it up on the wiki
>"I really want Kaz to be gay for big boss"
They were fucking business partners. The very fact youre assuming I think he couldnt of known it was venom from the start because "I want them to be gay" has just fucked your already baseless argument in the arse. Youre an absolutely intolerable moron.
Im just gonna keep relinking this anyway, fuck you.
>ooh you love Kaz you wanna make out with Kaz you have a 600GB file of Kaz/Venom slashfic
I sure do! But I like Ocelot, too, and that's why your theory bothers me - you're suggesting that Kaz, who isn't the clearest thinker on the best days, could play a subtler game than Ocelot could.
That's just nonsense.
congratulation on not reading the rest of the post, makes your argument look a lot better.
Ocelot did nothing about it because Kaz already knew and he decided to stand with Venom snake, which fit ocelot's plans.
Going by your logic, why would Ocelot straight up tell him? Because that's what happens at the end in your mind.
Why did Ocelot tell him the truth straight up if he didn't want him to know?
>People keep replying to the one cunt set on derailing the thread
what does any of this really matter? i want an answer as much as anyone else, but i think we should just accept the fact that the whole thing is pretty sloppily written and it's impossible to say either way
How is it impossible to say when there is a cinematic stating how it is and the other argument is that he forgot about it?
One relies on stuff that is shown in the game and the other relies on stuff that is implied nowhere in the game.
Feels simple enough to me but whatever
We're talking about penises. Would you like to join?
Nothing's been retconned lately. What we're arguing about right now is when Kaz realized Venom wasn't the real Big Boss. It's old drama, but that just makes it cozy.
i hope ocelot was dizzy and confused and vulnerable once he broke out of hypnosis
Unrelated, but dyou think the wee black children took to Ocelot? I love that cutscene where he picks one up, and gets down to his level to speak to him. It was nice. I didnt think he'd have a flair with kids.
Why is there so little gear?
I know about the ascension stuff, but still it seems to be very little.
Fucking konami, I was hoping for in-depth operator customization
Because it was sloppily written and poorly executed.
The whole game smells of cut content and you can't make up for that with "you just have to think for yourselves you guys".
Kaz gets retconned in later MGs and half of his character in TPP is inconsistent with "master Miller" later on.
It's like Kojima didn't know how to tie the two ends together and just said "fuck it".
Here's a Kojima quote from the guidebook:
"The level of desire for revenge varies from player to player. Those who played peace walker or ground zeroes will typically have a stronger desire for revenge than other players. Miller's role is to give all players a motive in this context. Even those with no tendency for vengeance will feel like they want to even the score for Miller, giving them a clear sense of purpose."
And that's all he is. That was his purpose in TPP. Nothing more, nothing less.
ocelot is so precious in this game. i don't know if any of those kids would ever really trust any of the adults, but i'd imagine if they had to choose between going to kaz, ocelot, or venom for something, they would choose ocelot every time. he's approachable and really does seem to be good with kids.
I'm preeeeeetty sure that's not how hypnosis works.
-The cinematic in the man who sold the world shows him in the hospital with bb and venom, he knows who has which wounds
-Ocelot disccusses Venom cyborg arm with him, so even if he were blind he knows that venom has the same wounds as medic
-Ocelot goes into hypnosis after mission 2, so he had to have told Kaz beforehand instead that at the end
-Therefore the final conversation happens at the beginning of the game, after they rescue him and before he starts his hypnosis
-He may have forgotten about the scene in the hospital
-He could have told Venom at any point
-Ocelot wouldn't let him get away with knowing the truth
-Therefore the final conversation happens at the end of the game, when Ocelot finally tells Kaz the truth, after he broke the hypnosis
The first one sounds more plausible to me since there is no evidence that he forgot about anythung, he wouldn't tell venom because he needs him to be big boss, Ocelot wouldn't kill miller to preserve the status quo of mother base and Ocelot would never tell kaz the truth, and he also had no reason to break his hypnosis earlier.
But then again people can believe whatever they want
BUT DID OCELOT KNOW HIS PARENTS OR NOT?! WHICH ONE IS IT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I haven't made a party myself, but there's a party interface if you press "Select" or the keyboard equivalent while in the free roam level. It's probably intuitive from there.
So, how can people throw me to the ground and fulton me in like 1sec?
When I only throw someone to the ground I can't fulton them, and if I strangle them and then fulton it takes longer to set it up.
>tfw buddy-system with someone
>tfw they pull you out of heavy shit and you make sure to cover their asses
>whenever they die you stay close to the action but not too close so they can spawn to your position/vice versa
MGO is some fun shit, I haven't encountered any major problems or hackers as of yet. Nothing like ZA WARUDO CQC or anything.
Here's another great feel I got today
>playing as Scout
>see someone grab a comrade through my scope
>bust that nigga's head and free my buddy
>"I owe you one!"
Kaz's reaction after Shining Lights doesn't fit with with the idea that he knew.
Also he says in one of the tapes that after the accident he was repeatedly drugged, that's how he lost track of Boss. Foggy drug haze memories combined with the passing of nine years and losing most of his sight make it pretty easy for him to not visually recognize. Nobody is walking up to him and asking "What's the deal with the Boss' horn yo"
Also it would mean Ocelot hypnotized himself for two weeks, came out of it to talk to Miller, then went back into it again. It doesn't make sense that he'd do this, nor that Kaz would never call him out on it during the times when they come into conflict.
Still waiting for errant signal to release a 2-part, 40-minute deconstruction tearing TPP 10 new assholes.
Superbunnyhop covered a lot of ground and made some good points but even he barely scratched the surface of the underlying mechanical problems and oversights.
>See someone get CQC'd in the distance
>Pop the balloon
>Pop the fucker in the leg as he's trying to run
>Homie gets him
That was fun as fuck.
I also dropped mortars on two (2) enemies in C&D in one round.
I think so. Ocelot balanced authority with approachability really well. The kids were actually following Mother Base rules! But there were probably random staff who were closer to them, Ocelot had a lot of other work to do. How would Venom know which goats were delicious if Ocelot was always off playing babysitter?
That's really just my guess, since he says 2+2=5 in mission 2 and that would have broken his hypnosis if it already started.
As some people pointed out that might just be an easter egg, but to me it makes sense since this game has a lot of other small details that are actually important to the story (such as all the shit appearing on mantis's face)
