Reminder that SFV will be getting reviewed by people who only play the story mode and gave MKX a 10/10 because there is no netcode against bots.

Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time: 3k viewers.
What are you guys playing now?
Part of me wants to play Pirate Warriors 3, but I'll end up killing someone if I don't get Enel's Gold Coin so I might play Dragon's Dogma or something else on Vita-chan.

Stuck at work.
I imagine it may go on sale during golden week, I'd certainly pick it up then.
I have the Vita version, but I think I'll get the PS4 version anyway, especially in the event of a sale.
At least you have Burning Blood for your Bart fix. Though the cooler Bart doesn't seem like he'll be in.
Anyway I hope whoever the editor is gets fired. The demo footage I've seen of Burning Blood is already rife with nonsense. Nothing as bad as this though.
Why don't you play one of the twins? Your experience will skyrocket that way
seems like chun and yun are very rare on fighcade. maybe it's considered bm to play them idk.
Now that I get 3s more I actually feel like it's a lot like V in some ways. Particularly how midrange oriented it is.
Also even though the oki is just as oppressive as 4's it feels way less bullshit because it still usually boils down to simple rps, and you can actually do it yourself without labbing frame perfect safejumps os's and other nonsense.
>was playing 3S
>opponent picks chun li
The Tekken line of figs always has better faces than the Street Fighter line.
i can't play yang man
muh crossup divekicks
unless yang's divekicks can cross up, which i'm pretty sure they can't
EX Mantis Slash is L I T E R A L L Y the best EX move in the game
Do you guys remember that anon that said he was deaf and that he had got the hearing aides and said that fightsticks sounded nice. Remember when broski asked if the characters sounded like he thought they did when the guy was born deaf cause broski is a retard. I wonder what he is up to? I wonder if he can speak yet?
anon are you here?
>Remember when broski asked if the characters sounded like he thought they did when the guy was born deaf cause broski is a retard.
PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS REAL
Not sure if I'll bother picking up Burning Blood because One Piece "fighters" have always been pretty bad. If I'm going to play imbalanced One Piece brawling, I'd rather just play Musou.
I'm iffy because it seems like a reskinned Ultimate Storm.
How is something ultimate on it's what, 5th iteration
Granted, I don't think I've played a Storm game since the first, but still.
I bet Josie would smell amazing, like a day old adobo stew.
Honestly, I haven't played any since the old ones on PS2. My problem with them is that they'd be better off as 4-player arena brawler things because they're obviously imbalanced and just for silly fun. I have no idea why it's just 1v1.
If I want to play 1v1, I'll play an actual fighter. If I feel like goofing around with friends, I'll play Smash or something.
i agree with you that cammy is very solid and honest but
i was talking about hooligan combination. lots of cammies were using that during the beta. it's a shit gimmick that won't work past week one.
Who are the most honest characters in this game?
Honestly those Ultimate games could be amazing if cc2 wasn't so hellbent on keeping them super fucking casual.
Those games get insanely boring because they are literally 1 button fighters. the games just feel incredibly on-rails
They're made that way because One Piece is the biggest manga sensation in history. It has mass market appeal, so they're obviously going to cater to that market. I can't blame them.
But if they're going to make it casual, I'd rather them just go all-out and make it a multi-player brawler with super wacky broken attacks.
This beta update is going to come to PC too right?
Throwing it outta nowhere dozens of times per round like some people did was retarded and it will be gone in high level play but hooligan is not a gimmick at all, with 3 different jump angles and nearly no height restriction on the divekick but also has the command grab option, can be cancelled from almost every normal, crosses-up, crosses-under, auto corrects, hooligan will always have it's use.
Good Cammy players will also learn new uses for it. It also got buffed on beta3, HP hooligan can go thru fireballs now.
You will not get DP'd out of every hooligan. By that logic, nobody should ever jump anymore because you'll just get DP'd out of it.
And everything that isn't pure grounded normal footsies is a gimmick.
you can't dp/reversal it in many situations and setups, also if you manage to dp it once Cammy can change the angle using lp/mp/hp and change the timing of the divekick. DP may also hit with air-to-air damage wich is like 60 lol and if you whiff a dp you can get crush counter punished and it will hurt
lol i guess you guys didn't watch infiltration destroy poongko and his gimmicks again and again huh?
do you know what he did? he blocked. none of poongko's shit worked.
it's a gimmick and both of you are garbage. you are going to get DP'd out of it, or people are just going to block and the fuck you up
Of course every character beats it up close by just pressing a standing normal. It'll fall off fast when people start poking it out of the air on reaction up close, at which point it's mainly useful as an alternate jump angle from further out.
Using hooligan once in a while is not a gimmick. How brain dead are you? He got read. It happens. Jumps get read. It happens. Stuff gets read. It happens.
One match is not definitive of an entire meta or an entire scene, either. If some guy gets wrecked in the corner and read, does that mean everything he did is some gimmick? You're seriously claiming that nobody should EVER do hooligan because it was always be stuffed 100% of the time. It's so funny when people say " a good player will just" as if good players always do everything perfectly.
Just stop embarrassing yourself.
>Of course every character beats it up close
that's not really the case
Poongko was going full nuts on that match, it also proves nothing
You don't need to DP it up close because the Divekick hitbox isn't that great. The cross up is kind of gimmicky. It's still good for the jump angle change as it gets you further forward over fireballs.
Webms like this make me glad close/far buttons are gone.
>LTG acts like an immature brat on stream when his girlfriend is sitting right there
>she trolls the shit out of him with common sense and logic
>he still acts like a twat
>someone asks if that's his sister
>he somehow blows up and acts like it's a super strange thing to ask and makes a big deal about it
>she's just sitting there trying not to laugh at him while he's streaming
>"you didn't even lose yet"
>I DON'T GIVE A FUCK
What are you referring to? His crouching jab which goes under it while Cammy is in the air near the end? Why would you try to beat it with crouching jab. The Birdie doesn't put up any effective defence, allowing the regular jumps in for free and not checking any of the close re-jumps. He's holding down back and alternating throw/c.LP, and getting stuffed.
It's slower than a Rufus divekick and the crossup is much slower. React to it with stand jab.
More like MeltyDick AHAHAHAH
I meant the OP image but I found it anyways
Playing Fallout 4 with mods
I'm just too lazy to put my own trip back on
As Faust, what should you do in response to Elphelt corner pressure? I'm still not sure how her moves work or which ones are plus on block.
And how about Leo pressure? He has an overhead during his stance, right? But he can also do an insanely fast low kick, so how are you supposed to react to something like that? I can deal with normal high-low mix-ups just fine, but Leo is just a whole other story.
Something like this
C/F Nero Chaos
C Seifuku Akiha
F Archetype Earth
C Hisui & Kohaku
F Akiha Vermilion
Any news on a patch for Xrd? I still can't play with some people and that is irritating
I'd love to hear their reasoning on why C-Maids isn't just a superior C-Kohaku.
Do you 2P after the shotgun blast or after the shoulder rush thing? And thanks, I'll see if you can low profile it. I've been meaning to get into the habit of doing that to Bandit Revolver/Bringer, but it scares the shit out of me.
They're both exceptionally strong but not c roa or f hime tier, so they're both put in S for that reason probably. You're aware that a tier can have some minor variations in strength, aren't you?
When one variation has the chair and the other doesn't that's a pretty big swing. Especially when they're otherwise identical.
Watch the replay and figure out why you got stomped. Hold that loss and move onto the next one.
Also, I have respect for hosts that don't kick me after I've beaten them more than twice. Shows that they want to improve I guess.
when I lose and go like "they're so much better, I don't stand a chance" watching the replay and analyzing my wrong choices would be more helpful than trying to do the same and lose again
I always play the guy 3 times before kicking in ranked SF4, it doesn't matter what the outcome is I just play 3 matches with the same guy.
On endless I have a friend that always stomp me ~30 matches in a row, I still play him because he always give me useful advice.
The whole concept of ranked is fundamentally flawed and works against what makes fighting games so fun to play. All ranked modes always using bo1 format does not help and sf4's subpar netcode with lack of connection info just makes everything even worse.
most people here suck so they can't win in ranked so they claim that ranked is "all gimmicks" because they apparently can't beat a gimmick even though they think they are waay better than their opponent
But USFIV, I play ranked bo5, all 4-5 bar matches. I choose not to play 3 bars or lower.
The connection isn't always perfect but that's the nature of p2p. It's a million times better than MKX netkode at any rate.
I don't experience any of those issues you're suggesting.
I'm inclined to believe it's more along the lines of >>128531116
>fgg hates mobas because they encourage players to blame their teammates
>meanwhile fgg blames lag, gimmicks, lack of fundamentals, and mashing for their loss
Cause neither of you learn anything if you only play 2 or 3 games against each other, you can't read somebody in that short a time.
So it becomes a game of who can meme harder before the 2/3 games are over. People play completely different in endless and ranked, it's really noticeable.
I have this friend who pretty much only plays ranked and it's so fucking noticeable in his play. He basically thinks cycling between various unsafe options at all times makes for good mixups. I can't really tell if playing ranked made him that way or if being that way leads to him playing only ranked because in an endless lobby anybody who plays more than 3 or 4 games against him will read his stupid play like a book.
Mobas and other team games have really long matches, most are between 40 and 60 minutes. Plenty of time to get used to your opponent. In ranked you only get 2 or 3 rounds. If ranked was at least a bo3 I might play it. If I lose 4 games without adapting then I probably don't deserve that win.
Just won my first SFIV match after 18 losses. I'm not feeling confident with my character at all though (Juri). I know her combos and can execute them perfectly in training, but in matches nothing seems to flow together. That said, I got a perfect on the match I won.
Should I stick it out with Juri bros? Will it get more "comfortable" at my 50-60th game? Or is my character choice a bad one. I really like her design :(
Playing who you like will increase how much you'll want to get better at the game so keep playing Juri if you want. How long have you been playing? Would you mind posting a replay of your matches so we can better help you? Also, getting better comes with time and practice.
It doesn't really matter what character you play if you are new. Just being able to play without having to think about inputs or what moves your character has is more important so you can focus on shit that applies to all characters.
SF4 netcode is undeniable shit. You cant talk yourself out of that by pointing at the worst possible case next to tasofro.
You are so used to swimming in shit taht you actually think it is supposed to be that way.
That makes sense. Although I feel like your friend might have just settled into that playstyle, is he highly ranked at all? Does he actively try to improve?
There's never any endless lobby's in my region so I don't really have any other option than ranked, I usually see the same names pretty regularly so it might not be so different from the endless lobby experience you're talking about.
Been playing nearly two weeks, but that was mostly in training mode, picking my character, learning my character. This is my first fighter I haven't been just mashing and trying to learn seriously.
Replays eh? I haven't been saving them I don't think. I will have to have a look into that, because that would be really helpful to get a critique.
I don't mind losing at this stage, I'm more just trying to get my fundamentals down for SFV. But playing just feels really jarring. I will freeze at the controls sometimes and just have no idea what to do.
She's a beginner's trap but who cares since it's so late into 4's lifespan. It's gonna take way more than 50-60 games to feel truly comfortable with a character I'd say.
Post a replay as well, lots of new players get way too focussed on combos instead of actually playing the neutral game, and if I had to guess that's probably what your losses are coming down to.
Nah he's not really high ranked. He also varies wildly in his rank ranging from really low to somewhat decent. And he tries to improve but his idea of improving is learning new setups instead of getting more solid in general.
Yeah you guys are probably right. Need to learn that neutral game. Think I'm going to grab some replays soon so I can get a better look and some help. Especially tips on when to use what button. Thanks!
Well Ultra has a system where it saves recent matches you've had and lets you upload them to youtube. Check your replays when you get a chance. The whole freezing while playing is natural for people just starting out and not used to the environment of fighters. Wish you the best of luck though.
A lot of people pick Juri starting out though.
>Well Ultra has a system where it saves recent matches you've had and lets you upload them to youtube
Oh really? Awesome. I'm going to have a look.
Well, that's good to know. Saw a lot of pick Ryu when you start. And I can understand the sentiment, but I hated playing him. At least losing with Juri is enjoyable.
>She's a beginner's trap
What's this mean, sorry?
She's a little more complex and requires a little more work to succeed with than a fair few other characters, but a lot of new players always pick her because she's their waifu or some shit. Then they end up like this and either never progress or quit.
Not saying it's going to happen to you, but Juri has been claiming new players for 6 years now.
Well, she's a character that looks interesting to many new players and there are a lot of shitty Juris around who essentially just fish for ultras with divekicks.
The character however is a very similar zoning/footsie character than Ryu, she just has more tools that are worse.
This means the player has to choose the right one for each situation which is way harder than choosing between crouching mk and crouching mk with Ryu.
That is like the only downside on left hand. I am doing Millia stuff and both her IAD combos and dash buffering is easier. Like 5 minutes and I've got everything consistent. I honestly feel like an idiot for not playing with pad in the first place.
Literally impossible unless you only play 1 game a week and doesn't even try to learn.
Even that shitty juri will get better eventually if he keeps playing, there's no such thing as a "trap".
Anyone here playing Gundam Extreme Versus Full Boost?
Thoughts? I heard it's as good as a fighting game.
Oh I see. Well, I hope to use her in V when she comes out, because I really enjoy her.
Thanks for all the help with the replays guys, I found out where they are saved, now just need to figure out how to get them off the PS4.
Just watching my most recent one was really helpful desu. Saw a lot of spots where I should have fireballed, a lot of c.mk into an unsafe pinwheel which I need to fix and I need to learn some hit confirm strings instead of just using mp and sweep in the neutral. Also noticed I was getting beat in air to air. What is Juri's best air to air? Or should I just wait and use c.mp or c.hk?
If you're on PS4 just use the share button after watching the replays and then trim them down with the built in editor. Save them on a usb or just upload directly to youtube after you're done. Also medium punch is her best air to air because of the combo potential afterwards.
mk and hk for neutral jumps, mp for angled jumps because it juggles into a lot of things
check out http://forums.shoryuken.com/discussion/181789/a-master-class-in-juri-han-learn-to-fight-like-me-and-youll-realize-how-boring-everything-else-is/p1
oh yeah I should mention that this is from ae so a bunch of it is probably outdated and no longer applies but the first two points, the storing and anti airing are still valid and very important
>practice combo for hours
>it only works in the corner
>playing fighting games without guard cancels
i need julia or michelle either one is fine i just need someone who can do chang shit
Good joke, but we all agree that Aoko is best girl.
>F-Ciel that low
Why does Japan not know how to play this game?
It's a real shame, yeah. He had a fantastic career. Might go rewatch Die Hard or Hitchhiker's Guide.
i don't really care which characters are "waifus" because i'm an adult, but yeah, changs are fun.
Honestly, I just like being able to fill the screen with gigantic Nero normals. The fact that it's easy to pick up and play helps too. Also some nostalgia I guess. Back in college Melty and Persona were the first games I really started getting into a local scene for and helped me grow past total scrub level.
Movement in Melty feels good compared to other anime games. Combos are fairly short and damaging while also not requiring hours of practice mode time to grind execution or character specific confirms. Also oki in melty is nowhere near as retarded as it is in Xrd.
Melty Bits guide
Mizuumi PS2 page (old version of the game but 90% of things should still apply)
Meltydb (matches from japanese players to learn from)
a) did you turn filter on in options (full)
b) literally git gud, melty is incredibly deep and has nothing as retarded as yrc. Footsies actually matter, and there are many ways to punish mindless play.
The difference is that random people dying everyday doesn't affect you since they contributed nothing to your life and you didn't contribute anything to their life.
Actors aren't your friends or family and you don't know them, but their acting could still have affected your life, even if it was just entertainment.
This is the only acceptable Asuka
You still wouldn't feel any sense of loss. The most you would feel is reflecting on your own mortality, your friends and families mortality, some morbid curiosity and sense of responsiblity to call emergency services and perhaps be a witness.
Some Swedes were streaming their locals yesterday and out of curiosity I wanted to look at it to see how bad the players are. I thought SF4 was on but I tuned in too early and they were still doing GG.
>Tekken 7 will never be released for PS4
and PCat this rate.
What is taking them so long?
What a shitty meme of a magazine.
wow what a loser he actually browses reddit
The only people you'll find to play are ones that have been playing since vanilla ExVs, IE, killers.
But it's a dope as game, you should check out footage on youtube sometime.
>hoping for timely arcade ports of Bamco games
Funniest joke this year m8
So SFV is out now yeah? I'd love to play it but I'm not sure my computer can handle it. Are there any cracked versions or a benchmark tool somewhere?
Arcade mode doesn't do much for you anyway. You'll learn a lot faster just putting in time with people and researching guides/asking questions.
Which character are you playing?
Aw thanks newfriend, I've been getting all my hacks from goatse and lemonparty but they didn't have SFV
In all seriousness though I didn't realize it wasn't out yet, I saw it in the steam store but didn't notice it was just a prepurchase.
>Doesn't know when SFV comes out
>Calls someone a newfag
isnt there a way to buffer half of your ultra while your just crouching?
im playin sakura and want to have my upwrards hadoken ultra ready for when the trash bags start jumping at me.
think i remember seeing a video on it back when i started playing for the first time if anyone has a link
2bh i only have one reason for getting revelator
>DarkeSword Gundam Wing Endless Duel vs heavyarms
That feel when I used to listen to this song all the time
>people work at their job to get money
>the fact that people think that people work at their job to get money shows how fucked up society is
2/10 well you got a reply
you probably play melty blood or marvel or something stupid
>people are just trying to pay their student loans
>people are just trying to pay their parents debts
>people are just trying to pay their overpriced unnecessary luxuries
Has nothing to do with this
Why? I'm asking you what you do to survive for a living. If you're criticizing people selling their time to make a living then you're a hypocrite because most likely you benefit off of that as well in some shape or form be it from your parents or government benefits.
But having a job does make you superior anon, having a job means you're putting in a designated amount of time and effort in exchange for currency. And given currency is an essential part of survival in today's world, that makes a person more reliable than someone without a job, or someone who's never had a job.
>people who go to college for 4~6 years
>get a job where they spend 60~80+ hours a week
Literally what is even the point of living at that point? Unless your job is something extremely fulfilling and is more of a lifestyle than a job (like, say, doctors) then what the fuck are you even doing with your life lmao
I NEVER work more than 40 hours a week. Fuck that shit, i'm not your god damn slave.
I work to live. I have a career that interests me and which I'm good at, but at the end of the day I work to pay my bills and to be able to afford to do the things I love outside of work.
>People who makes hundreds of thousands but work 60+ hours a week
no thanks senpai
you can have all that
>working for the money
>not making the money work for you
>have a million ugly kids that will grow up to amount to nothing
>take all the government assistance you can get
>work 20 hours a week at all 4 walmarts near you
>but i am le supporting my children!!!
if these people really wanted to support their children they wouldn't have brought them into this world
Be honest, who's shitposting from work right now?
Shouldn't have married a
I am not self-employed. I am a pipefitter for a large factory
How do you win and/or learn anything from laggy matches?
>Literally what is even the point of living at that point? Unless your job is something extremely fulfilling and is more of a lifestyle than a job (like, say, doctors) then what the fuck are you even doing with your life lmao
Did you fail grade school reading comprehension or something? I was talking about jobs that take over your life (60+ hrs a week)
I've never worked a minute over 40 hours in the 6 years i've been at this company
CS & Engineering for one. Have a couple of friends in those fields and they're pretty much always at work.
I personally don't give care about how much money I could be making if I worked longer hours, because the amount I make now is more than enough to support my lifestyle.
You can't get back your time. Ever.
Yep. I do not envy people in the american money rat race.
>off from work
>keep contimplating what game I'm gonna play
>blow 90% on sleeping and internet
>end up laying Neptunia U for like 4 hours
Already cracked by the guy who did the Beta3, no F.A.N.G., new stage added (city_in_chaos) and the DLC files were modified. Maybe there'll be a new update until the beta goes live.
Still no Makoto.
play dengeki fighting climax with me anon
at least you're not posting brick's dumb flipped image
Because I am the superior Toradora fan clearly.
>being a fan of the circus act that Nasu calls 'lore'
You know you love it all.
>SFV looks like SFIV
I don't know if it's because I only started playing in 2015, but SFV to me looks and plays completely and entirely different.
>implying there's any good TM work aside of Carnival Phantasm
This wasn't SF4 >>128523598 really? Because this is all I remember from SF4. That shit was 100% SF4 and you'd be lying if you said other.
Not to mention,
>posting webms of shit players doing shit
>make it to 4k pp
>sit in ranked and just stand still and lose every game
>feel powerless as my points go down
>get extremely turned on
>get in the mood for bdsm
>have a great fap
Anyone else do this?
>still no 3GB beta update on PC
don't do this to me Ono
