Now that I get 3s more I actually feel like it's a lot like V in some ways. Particularly how midrange oriented it is.

Also even though the oki is just as oppressive as 4's it feels way less bullshit because it still usually boils down to simple rps, and you can actually do it yourself without labbing frame perfect safejumps os's and other nonsense.

You don't need to DP it up close because the Divekick hitbox isn't that great. The cross up is kind of gimmicky. It's still good for the jump angle change as it gets you further forward over fireballs.

The Birdie doesn't put up any effective defence, allowing the regular jumps in for free and not checking any of the close re-jumps. He's holding down back and alternating throw/c.LP, and getting stuffed.

It's slower than a Rufus divekick and the crossup is much slower. React to it with stand jab.

Mobas and other team games have really long matches, most are between 40 and 60 minutes. Plenty of time to get used to your opponent. In ranked you only get 2 or 3 rounds. If ranked was at least a bo3 I might play it. If I lose 4 games without adapting then I probably don't deserve that win.

Just won my first SFIV match after 18 losses. I'm not feeling confident with my character at all though (Juri). I know her combos and can execute them perfectly in training, but in matches nothing seems to flow together. That said, I got a perfect on the match I won.
Should I stick it out with Juri bros? Will it get more "comfortable" at my 50-60th game? Or is my character choice a bad one. I really like her design :(

The character however is a very similar zoning/footsie character than Ryu, she just has more tools that are worse.

Just watching my most recent one was really helpful desu. If you're on PS4 just use the share button after watching the replays and then trim them down with the built in editor. Save them on a usb or just upload directly to youtube after you're done. Also medium punch is her best air to air because of the combo potential afterwards.
