I just cleared the Old Hunters, and then immediately beat the game. However, I forgot to check something minor.

My question is as follows. After you beat the Orphan of Kos and kill it's spirit to get NIGHTMARE SLAIN, the fucked-up moon of the Hunters Nightmare disappears, and it becomes day. I forgot to check to see if the fucked-up moon disappears EVERYWHERE in the Hunters Nightmare, or if this effect is confined to the Orphan's boss arena. Does someone know which is true, or can check quickly? I would prefer to not have to jump right into ng+ over such a minor curiosity, as I'd like to take a break from the game.

I agree with all of this basically but the Insight idea for sure. I really like the idea of insight having lots of effects. Maybe even separate it from multilayer functiond. Like the more insight you have the more powerful you are but the more you're exposed to powerful forces. Bosses you can only find with the right amount of insight. Areas open up to you.

I'd make bell maidens unkillable. I don't mind the current system at all as long as nightmares still exist for people to solo-invade in, and also there's purple invasions, but I don't like that you can summon and then rush the bell maiden and not have to deal with invasions. It should be a persistent threat when you have a blue in your world. I'd also want there to be more kinds of invasions; like a Blue Sentinel equivalent, some kind of Rat variant, and maybe a dueling covenant that lets invaders have full health when they come in. Or just put a dueling arena in the game for everyone to use regardless of covenant.

Another PvP-oriented trick I'd like is for gems to not be as good. I think slightly less overall damage would improve the experience. I'd also rather that gems be useful for more than improving damage, so I guess the holistic change would be to adjust gems to give less of a straight damage boost and have all secondary effects be things like radiance or slow poison or whatever so there's more room for individual taste in gems.

For PvE, I want more extensive and varied options for random chalice dungeons. I would also remove non-random chalice dungeons so there's never a samey grind.

I personally think the vial system is a genius compromise between grass and estus and would never touch it.

So I stumbled upon Patches and Amygdala taking a break from doing chalice dungeons, I know I'll need to kill him for one of the chalices at some point, what's the usual level people fight him at? I'm level 60 with a +8 chikage.

25/20/25/21/8/9

I'm using Saif and Ludwig's with Blade of Mercy as a secondary weapon. I'm getting bored of all three.

I'd like to try some of the DLC weapons and Rakuyo (I know it gets a bad rap in pvp, but it still seems like my type of weapon) seems to be leading as far as a new weapon to aim for.

I just beat Rom today. How far into the DLC is Rakuyo? Simon's Bowblade seemed neat, is that something my build could support? People say the Church Pick is awesome, should I aim for that?

So far in the DLC I'm able to get to Rape Horse but obviously can't beat him alone...yet. Can I get Rakuyo/Bowblade/ChurchPick/other funs DLC weapon without beating him?

But anyways. I manage to find people at the 40-50 it gets a bit rarer up past 50 and then you'll start finding those low levels that are in NG+.

Level 30-35 has a lot of action, the question is, can you be bothered finishing the game and possibly chalice dungeons at level 30? For guaranteed summons just stay at level 32 since you can connect to base level 10s and all the way up to 65.

On the topic of music that fits Bloodborne, I remembered that Septicflesh really delves into the same themes and has exactly the right blend of grandiose and raw aggression. It's not just metal with keyboards on top to make it sound sad and goth and shit, it has a legitimately dignified and awe-inspiring approach to symphonic metal. And they've got songs about christianity and vampires, about werewolves, about Lovecraft, and about all sorts of weird interpretations of religious ideas. Plus, Spiros Antoniou's art looks similar to some of the shit in that game.

Coop dungeon search worked for every chalice regardless of whether or not you're up to it. For example you used be able to run the first Pthumeru dungeon, buy SRRC for 10 insight, ask on /bbg/ for a piggyback to Ihyll, kill everything, get the materials for a FRC, and be farming pomf without ever having gone through the rest of them.
