hey guys, kind of a noob here, I have cakes on my 9.2 SysNAND of my o3DS, executing via menuhax...my question here is, how do I install a theme for my emuNAND? I used the CHMM2 but it installed it on my SysNAND, any help?

I have my MH4U save data backed up to a different SD card that was saved to a different emunand. Can I re-build the save so it works with the new encryption? I lost 180 hours of progress and was wondering if there was any way at all to recover it.

I'm trying to transfer emunand to my new, bigger sd but i can't get it to work.

Emunand9 keeps showing the error on pic related and even if i complete emunand setup emunandtool then gives me the lower error message when i try to inject my old emunand

I want to use two sd cards for my o3ds. Is it possible and safe to do that?

no folders. just put the actual file on your SD card somewhere you'll be able to find it in the built-in file browser in whatever .cia installer you end up using. imo it's best to install BigBlueMenu with the FBI .cia installer that is injected into Health and Safety on emuNAND and use BigBlueMenu to install games. then install DevMenu with the injected FBI .cia manager and use DevMenu to manually install updates without eShop (or just get them from eShop if you wanna risk setting off red flags to Nintendo) and to install DLC .cia's

Will changing the DNS on sysnand or emunand affect the other if they're not linked? For example I'd like to use Tubehax DNS on sysNAND so I don't have to worry about an accidental update, but keep the emuNAND open so I can still have internet (my nnid is on my other ds) or use whatever else I would need internet for.

Honestly, no. A lot of rxTools users are unhappy with Cakes. There's no harm in having both at once, though. You just copy the files to your SD and then you can either boot it from the homebrew menu or add it to ctrbootmanager if you coldboot already.

Make sure you unlink emunand and sysnand. Do it with tinyformat if you haven't.
Then make sure you're in emunand (Cakes or rxTools) and update like you would normally.
After you update though, you're going to need to re-do the browser thing to get into homebrew and re-install menuhax though.

The reason why my sdcard is renamed to GATEWAYNAND with one gig missing is because it now has the emunand thing.

I don't mean to shitpost or meme, I'm honestly curious what are the objective technical ups and downs of each CFW.

I used the retards guide, it took me two fucking unnerving days to complete it all, but now that it's working and I'm settled I want to see a slightly bigger picture. No need to get defensive.

I just installed majoras mask cia using bigbluemenu but it freezes at the first loading screen. Also tried the final fantasy 4-6 and just get an error.
Anyone know what the problem could be?

How do I load up emuNAND?

Managed to reinstall Menuhax onto the new sysNAND but am puzzled as to how to load up my emuNAND so I can update it and play some games.

I've tried using RX Mode in RXTools to run emuNAND but it just goes to a black screen when I try loading it to home menu.

If I don't press anything and load it it just brings up the sysNAND again with HBL on startup.

Any help is appreciated.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I've tried using these two guides http://pastebin.com/ZfA8wtA2 and http://pastebin.com/EBKipkPW and every time I boot up sysUpdater to downgrade to 9.2.0-20u my menu doesn't look the same as https://i.imgur.com/vRN5jWZ.jpg. It only gives me the options and the red text, other than that, npothing similar and when I do it the files install but on reboot I get the "an error has occurred" shit. I don't know what the fuck. This is my 5th time doing it.

I said I was gonna do this hours agom but actually just got around to it. The cakepacks in my guide are now updated with the new Cakes version. I also removed the section on updating N3DS emuNAND to 9.5 since it's not really all that relevant anymore. I tried to make the beginning section about dbs more clear since it sounds like some people were doing it even though they already had database files.

I've been following the retard's guide and I'm stuck. I'm on the first steps of section D, trying to unlink the NAND's. After getting to the boot manager and selecting rxtools I am not winding up at my normal 3ds screens. I'm on RX Tools with Installation failed written across the touch screen. Is Cakes still the best firmware for New 3DS? Also, are there any other cakes I should download besides the ones that come with it?

1. Open Decrypt9WIP (http://gbatemp.net/threads/download-decrypt9-open-source-decryption-tools-wip.388831/)
2. Titlekey Decrypt (EmuNAND)
3. Open your new decTitleKeys_emu.bin with print_ticket_keys.py via command prompt (or just make a batch file) so they stay on screen
4. Find the Title ID of the game you want to update in your ticket key list
5. Copy your Title ID and Title Key into a new batch file in the DIY Updates folder
6. Run your new batch and wait for it to compile as CIA
7. Install CIA

I switched from justing my 16gb microsd to the default and empty 4gb microsd (SD formatted with SD formatter) and changed which trigger button activates the menuhax (change from X 0x400 to A 0x1) in case that was messing with the ram in some compacitiy. I did the stupid tfBro trick and within TWO tries it catches.
