A warhammer online private server currently in "alpha" stage. T3 and level 32/40 and all RvR content up to t3 are finished. PvP content is 99% finished, PvE is in a real "alpha" state. Small dev team doing mostly everything from scratch, no donations or money of any kind are being accepted... game will be completely free.

Check here first then make a new thread: http://www.returnofreckoning.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=4
Enemy and buffhead are recommended, the rest you will have to tryout for yourself. Mods are installed in the "Interface>Addons" folder, then managed in game. Lookout for prereq mods required for some mods to fuction like Libslash etc...

OP here, for literally every thread since the revival.
I think its time to put these threads to bed again until T4 comes out. Not enough interest and im tired of keeping these threads on life support.
check back for /rorg/ whenever t4 comes out
If you want to keep it alive that is fine but I am just saying im not gonna post to keep it on life support or remake the threads when it dies.
But by all means pls do take over.
I JUST started it so I don't have many names, but here's a few:
"Warhammer Fags To Avoid:"
Dyria - Blackguard - Spams highest level possible pots & premades
Odjur - Marauder - Spams highest level possible pots & premades
Veritri - Sorcerer - Spams highest level possible pots & premades
Lilreese - Black Orc - Spams highest level possible pots & premades

Yesterday I met s SW on a scenario. He, and 3 or 4 other order players killed my friend, that was playing WE on a Nordenwatch scenario. It's nothigs special, yeah, BUT after that that SW wrote in chat "rekt", which is quiet offending. Just 30 seconds fter that destro found, that barraqcs are taken and moved there. We killed them and I, just to show that guy how actually unpleasant it is, wrote in chat "rekt". His ass exploded. Out net conversation you can see on screen.
some 20 minutes later.
I wonder, did he frapsed it? I really want to see it.
You self important twat
If you wanted to keep the threads alive you would post content and shill to get new players, but I'd bet my hat you're the faggot who just replies with an empty post.
>self important on an anonymous imageboard
kill yourself my man, i promise you these threads will be dead in 3 days.
These threads have been dead for 2 months don't think your presence or absence matters boiiii
I think the only way to save this general is to trip and lure in unsuspecting Anons to rage at us until they play the game or gb2 /runescape/
I was playing WAR for a six years and that's the most buttmad person I've ever met. That's why I am telling you this. I just can not understand how can anyone be so disrespectful toward other players. Okay, he killed someone but why humiliate person you killed? Even if you killed him with a bunch of other players.
And when I showed him same attitude he just exploded. I really hope, that will teach him a lesson in future. And if not - for example he starts to spam me in PM from other chars or spam to my friend - I will report him with his own confession of being banned permanently. He was dumb enough to say that.
Let's talk about other thing - amount of renorn getting by order at scs, even if they loose it. On a forum I've been told, that that amoutn of RR and EXP is fully random for some reason.
Marauder, DoK, Zealot, Chosen, BG and Sorc are all good choices.
Magus is pretty handy too and don't suffer from the insane armor boost of t4 like SW or SH
what's your experience with MMOs in general?
Basically just WoW. Used to raid on serious raiding guilds though.
How heavy are there roles in this game? If I go tank does that mean all I will do is be taking shit just like in WoW?
You're asking a hefty question
Before I get into ORVR tactics, which I will in the next post, I'm going to start with this
Do not treat this game like WoW
The way Warhammer is played is so different they may as well be different genres, if you treat this game like WoW you will only succeed with the two "rogue" equivalent classes, Witch Hunter and Witch Elf.
More to follow
Without getting too far into individual class builds/abilities or terrain/numbers it's important to realize that class makeup on the battlefield will do a lot to determine how you play, but generally things would go like this
Tanks and MDPS have two jobs, kill the enemy soft targets and protect your friendly soft targets from your enemy's melee archetypes. Tanks all have a "guard" mechanic, which allows them to take half the damage that a single party member receives, spreading the damage out and giving the tank a chance to even block or parry the incoming damage.
A good tank will pick an MDPS class and guard him, then the two will go to town on the enemy while the healers have a much easier time healing them, and if the tank needs to retreat into the healers to guard a healer for a few moments to save them from sudden burst damage then that's peachy too but his guard should always be on someone who is
1)Within 30 ft
3)Worth saving (Don't waste your guard on a lowbie whose getting nuked, you'll just end up losing a lot of health and he'll die anyways)
MDPS and RDPS have a much simpler role, although RDPS is generally easier to play
All you have to do is hit someone
2)Not a tank
3)Preferably a healer or other soft RDPS class
MDPS commonly form what is called the "melee train" or a group of 3 or more melee classes all hitting the same target. This is a good thing. If you pick a melee class and you see a train forming, jump in and swim in the kills because it makes your life a lot easier to be in a group, you're harder to specifically click target for the enemy and your enemies die quicker, which gives them less time to receive heals or retaliate
Healers heal and resurrect fallen allies. The main difference here is that all resurrection spells are usable in combat and come with a 5 second cooldown.
In combat res is what keeps lines moving and the fight going. You do want to keep fighting, don't you?
GET STUCK IN!
That's really all I can say.
He's not wrong but he's not right
The main trick with playing MDPS correctly is knowing when to get out of the fight and leash back to get heals, or when to return to your healers to kill a pesky witch hunter
>Hop on shaman
>Poke the hornet's nest and green-bean lazer beam an RP in the middle of an order WB
>Proceed to kite the whole warband back to my warcamp, cackling the whole way
Yup, especially if you are 3rd mastery tree. Bugman's finest, rod and turret. So comfy
It's pretty obvious that Max isn't a big part of the project anymore. Az and Geni are the most visible, but I don't know how much Geni contributes other than
ruining the game. Dana is apparently his boss, but I don't know wtf he does.
>They never gave engineer dual wielding pistols
What are you babbling about exactly? I'm saying the server is shit because it is. Mod staff has been powertripping ever since a bunch of them left like 7 months ago or whatever it was. New team loves to enforce their bizarre brand of cuckism on the playerbase.
It's a non profit private server, literally no reason to enforce arbitrary no bad words rules unless
A, admin staff are legit cucks who believe in the le we must fight intolerance meme or B, they're trying to appear more professional by enforcing rules that existed in retail. Given the fact that they're European it could very well be the former
Maybe because they're trying to attain a large playerbase
Which you don't do by allowing discrimination and other distracting bullshit to make your game less enjoyable to the vast majority of people
Like it or not you fuckers who insist on inciting hateful conversation in every fucking game you play and everything you do are the minority so you should understand they're not trying to appeal to your misplaced understanding of what is "right and wrong"
Yeah, it's irrelevant to call someone a raging faggot fincuck since those are all things someone has to choose to identify with to be offended by it but not many people are spiritually awake enough to realize that.
So stop being a cunt or play a different game
I don't suppose it could be because harassing other players is detrimental to getting the large number of players in PvP that WAR needs to be successful?
you spend an awful lot of time
tryingto play their game for having such a large problem about how it's run
You're welcome to keep believing that, but it's wrong, and you could not possibly produce any evidence for that assertion.
On the other hand, every report the GMs receive is evidence that someone is made uncomfortable by that behavior. There are always going to be more reporting players (multiple people offended) than there are banned players - an offender will likely message/offend multiple people before he is banned, but a GM will only ban one person for an offense.
No matter how your draw the numbers, the number of players wanting people with your attitude gone is greater than the number of people with your attitude.
Everyone needs to chill out for a minute and play engi
Engi is definitely the comfiest class
>no one expects you to carry the game
>never get targeted
>tons of easy to use abilities to put AOE pressure on healers
>no one blames a lost SC on an engineer
>no fan mail
>Never gets targeted
I make it my mission to furiously slap engies and stealth archers alike(also those coy witch hunters that jump healbots thinking they wont get the shit slapped out of them)
You're new, but you're doing it wrong. Many of the standard quests don't work, and none of the public quests do. You're pretty much here to PvP, which you can level from.
Absolutely. Click the WAR icon by your world map to queue for a scenario - a 12v12 fight over objectives.
While you're waiting on a pop, open your world map and run north (assuming you're in Nordland) toward the red lake. That's the RvR lake, which is open-PvP. In both, you are "bolstered" up to the max level for that tier, so you're on more even footing.
The moment Geni said that http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=wl;7;5;0;3:5:7:;5:;;;0:0:0:0: would be preferred by WLs if they had an armor debuff proc I instantly lost any and all respect I previously had for him (which was low in the first place).
Pack Hunting is not worth it without a fourth tactic slot, it is better to run Pack Synergy (when you have a bunch of crit from RR/gear, easy to get currently). Lionheart is a fucking joke of a tactic unless you're running with a WW SM 24/7, and even then it is sub par to Flanking and PS. Primal Fury can be neat from time to time but it's best used as support to a Coord/CtW burst, 45 AP and a GCD is really painful for a class that suffers from AP deficiency.
The only usable spec that foregoes Force Opportunity would be Pounce/CtW, although even with an armor debuff proc FO would be the better choice (more armor debuffed, better support for melee train).
He does state that several WLs have suggested the above build to him, which is what worries me the most; the devs are listening to absolute complete shitters.
That's because the Devs only listen to people who say exactly what they want to hear, and then use them as evidence to support their presupposed point of views.
Then why don't you share that on the forums where they'll see it? If you have a better counterargument argument to make, and you don't, you hardly get to pitch a shit fit when things don't go your way.
You can't sit there and expect the devs to be pros at every class. It's clear they're listening to feedback, which is good. You just have to actually give it.
What tactics are the most optimal is simple math, something I expect database developers to have somewhat of a grasp of. Besides, the RoR forums are a fucking mess of epeen waving and any well written argument will drown in a sea of shitposting.
