Oh, that's going to be a little harder. You can do a general replacement by just overwriting the mesh with a renamed version, which will replace it.

But what you'll want to do is go take whatever .esp file they use to add the robes and edit it so that the mesh/texture used by each type of enchanted robe is actually your special set of robes. Shouldn't be too difficult.

You can just make it so suggestions are accepted but only the author can edit it. Some cathegories may overlap so let's just try our best to make it not a big fuckup.

So far Cathegories are:


Immersion: small things and changes that make the game more comfy overall. Also any mod that changes/addss dialogs, NPCAI and music/sounds.
-Messages.
Graphics: ENBs, textures, illumination and basically anything that makes the game look prettier.
Animations: Animations, poses and skeletons.
Mechanics: Anything that adds or changes mechanics such as combat, sneak, etc.
-Professions: Subcathegory to make everything easier to find. (Combat, Magic, Sneaking or some more RP-related stuff like graverobber or trader)
Places: 2 cathegories: inside Cyrodiil and outside cyrodiil.
Quests: Any quest mods, lore-friendly or not. (non-lore mods will be marked)

Overhauls: mods that massively change the game. Oscuro, FCOM...

Any extra suggestion? This is basically brainstorming so it won't look pretty until I organise everything.

I installed this mod for Morrowind, called Guards or something like that, which makes guards have unique appearances.

To be honest, it's not that great. I mean, it's cool seeing Imperial guards have different faces and such, but now almost every single fucking guard in the game, be it Redoran, Telvanni, Ordinator, whatever, they don't wear their helmets at all.

I would be fine if it was just these one or two guards per town which didn't have helmets, to break away the generity (or if you get a cool looking, unsuspecting one like pic related), but it sucks that you don't get to see dem cool Morrowind helmets anymore.

That said, I recommend Improved Closefaced Helmets for Skyrim to anyone who hasn't used it yet. At first it feels weird, after a few hours, you just can't go to vanilla helmets anymore.

I really like S.T.E.P.'s categories, they are pretty tidy and give a good idea where everything is. Just a small recommendation.

not him but here is a tiny example, im just using the default preset. Many people place their Stamina+HP bars like in Dark souls, upper left corner.
Its nothing groundbreaking, but a very nice change and the vanilla UI is just horrible.

You can move all elements everywhere, toggle crosshair, opacity of all UI elements, change the style of crosshair, change the look of HP bars and how they work, with this mod you can make it so that the HP bar decreases from left to right. You can also change the things that the compass shows and other stuff

While it is true that smaller isn't necessarely better, making the UI smaller allows you to increase the amount of information on screen.

SkyUI also does a great job rearranging the menues and so on for bettter accessibility.

But if you like the vanilla UI, it's fine.

hmmm, looks like you need to set the template robes to the robes you're wanting to use in its place, for each individual robe type.

Also, why replace novice? They look most similar to the Expert-level robes.

Anyhow, I've decided to stick with the vanilla landscape textures in Morrowind, with the exception of Ice and Lava, which will be 2K non-watercolored, and see how that works out.

So i used a mod as a way to edit them, http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69289/?
So far, i managed to make all Apprentice, Novice Expert Master robes to look like the one i wanted. Problem is they are all the same color.
From the look of it i need to somehow edit the enchant or enchanted version, which is the one thats locked. Gotta try finding out now how to edit these.
If that doesnt work, im gonna do it differently. Then im gonna give each college robe different Textures, the Apprentice one will be the blue robes and so on.

Is this your first time using DDL? If not did you properly disable DDL in that save prior to updating it? If not than it might be residual shenanigans left over from the last time you ran it, so try visiting that spot in a savegame that's clean of previous DDL installations and see if its still there.

I have two EVOs because I ran out of room on the first one. My first Skyrim install was on a 10,000 RPM HDD that I still keep around for other games, then I have a 5400 RPM 4 TB storage drive.

Skyrim's new EVO is a 1 TB, my Windows install is still on the 250. I recently snuck Fallout 4 on the Skyrim SSD too...

Very possible that it's SFO. The first version I installed of these had huuuge environment glitches right near Riverwood (stuff where rocks disappear and you just can glitch through the ground), yet the author still has this mod in download section almost at the top without any kind of warning.

There also is an other mod especially for SFO LoDs on the nexus, which I would use.
