To replace the launching screen you need to have a folder set up like this, and it's just like replacing the Team Fortress 2 logo. For the tough break menu screen the file name is 'title_team_tough_break.vtf' and 'title_team_tough_break_widescreen.vtf'

Look at where your team is
Guess where the enemy team is
Cloak then disguise (in that order) before the enemy can see you
Dodge people/spam, you don't have to take dumb routes as long as you figure out how people are aiming
Use the infinite cloak from letranger + ammo pickups to wait until your team starts fighting
Decloak and stab people when they are distracted by the enemy team
Run behind your team away from the enemy

Successfully performed the rollout from jump oats on process. I feel like a beast and beat all the scouts to mid. Guess all those unlimited hours on jump servers werent for nothing.
Ive only finished 2 jump maps before. Hows the rollout training going for you guys.
Because most maps become bullshit as you continue through them involving ridiculously complex prolonged jumps. A course isnt a problem but when you have to quad sync into a catch pogo descent its a little beyond me.

No, comp requires teamwork and most people want to be the lone wolf on their own.
It's dota only like 3/4 people on each team? It will be much more difficult to get 6/9 players working together with a bunch of random people. I mean look at pubs, it's super unorganized and chaotic.
csgo and league carry a certain appeal that tf2 doesnt have, people who are looking for a game to play generally lean toawrds "mature" looking games like csgo with its realistic guns and shit and league and dota with their sci-fi/fantasy looks. the average 17 year old looking for a game to play on the weekend will look at tf2 and see it as too childish for their young adult tastes. MOBAs in general and csgo also have the star power that comes from already established competitive leagues, while tf2 has comp most players cant name the top ten players in tf2 comp, while many csgo and MOBA players can name the top players in their game. tf2 could have been popular at the levels of csgo and league if comp came out around the time it went f2p and hoards of players were pouring in, but at this point its too late, many people who were interested in a competitive game have moved on to MOBAs and csgo, and have become attached enough to those games that comp matchmaking wouldnt be enough to draw them back. 90% of new tf2 plays start playing because they found those goofy meet the team videos on youtube, not because they are looking for a competitive experience. tf2 doesnt draw in players looking for a "hardcore gaming expirience" mostly because the market for that is already saturated with copycat mobas and cs ripoffs, witth most players just playing csgo and league/dota, tf2 has already been established as a "silly hat collecting game" not a "competitive game" for the "hardcore gamer" and chances are its gonna stay that way
Nah, they marketed the game as a silly casual fun game for baddies for way too long. It took them 8 years to even consider adding features for competitive players.
They missed the train by several years. Now it's too little too late. Maybe they could have made the game popular in other circles than the 12 year old f2p crowd if they would have supported the competitive scene with price pools and official tournaments in 2008 or 2009. They could have given comp features to people who bought the premium version of the game instead of more hats and backpack features.
Instead they decided to add medieval mode, mvm, vr support and endless streams of broken unbalanced weapons.
They've added and forgotten about a lot more than that.

Jump academy is the worst baddie trap in the history of video games. A single horribly designed map spread over myriads of laggy servers with "teachers" who could barely finish jump_rush in two hours. Actually good jumpers avoid it like the plague so you end up with a giant echo chamber of bad players teaching other bad players how to jump badly.

the rocket gun is very good as you can do high single target damage with directs as well as solid aoe damage by shooting the ground, it also adds disgusting mobility to a slow tanky class. shotguns/scattergun are close seconds imo

it can. it depends a lot on the team trying to use it.
its a pretty big change of playstyle because it involves breaking the "move forward on charge advantage" mentality a lot of teams play with
but if a team can play adequately fast and use the kritz to get picks while managing to either kill the other teams medic or appropriately neuter their advantage ubers, then it could be very viable
so in conclusion, full time kritz is something that is probably viable either at the very highest level of competition or in lobbies, making it a pretty interesting mechanic
at around a mid open or im level, i find that teams focus a LOT more on slowing the game down for control and basing most of their pushes off of uber advantage instead of player advantage. these are the situations where kritz is the weakest

How are you going to push against the rest of their team? Even if they're retarded and didn't cockblock your Spy, your team is literally Soldier, Pyro, Demoknight, Heavy, Medic, and Spy. A single Scout could effortlessly take out three of those (Pyro, Demo, and Medic). Even if the Heavy is using launch Natascha as you imply in your later posts, all it takes is another Heavy running stock to shred him and then the Scout moves in for the kill.

I agree with you actually. Quick-Fix is much more difficult to deal with in an uncoordinated situation because single-person bursting usually requires a notable amount of setup.
I omitted the 5-Spies scenario that was mentioned earlier though, which is probably the most likely scenario for both teams in an uncoordinated environment (even if Valve adds class limits, subtract 3 Spies, add 2 Snipers and someone who's complaining about not getting to play either).

GRU was banned because the 6s community literally did not like having heavies in their game besides defending last. Just have the 6 health reduction and let it be that, so that heavy can build uber

There are many ways of putting fire out or out-healing it. The gun should be harder to use so people have to actually aim their particles, but reach farther so pyro is actually usable outside of highlander

The point still stands that flamethrowers are fundamentally not hard to aim and by outright doubling a Pyro's range you're encouraging braindead watering-can technique where you just spray in the general direction of the opponent and now everyone has to deal with being on fire.

The problem is it's not a choice. If you don't run Gunboats you can't properly apply pressure and you lose the flank. You can't jump after him if he jumps away while damaged, because then you're basically setting yourself up for counterattack, and you can't jump away if he damages you, because he can follow you without any fear of reprise.

Oh no! I can't capture objectives while I'm invulned! That was the one nerf it got. You can still block objectives and you can still heal everyone to completely shut down spam, but if you try to push with the invuln you get bursted and die.

Not only do you have 7 players on your team now, but what about the other Sniper that they have? The counterplay could go on forever but the more players you devote to this the less power you have to actually push last.

Everything about this is wrong, simply put.
Grenades are one of the worst tools for spamming because it's very rare that they actually hit anything against competent players due to their predictability.
Even if you get your Demoknight pick, it's assured that you're losing the Demo immediately afterwards because of how charging puts him out of position, and you're back at square 1.
