>What is DUELYST?
DUELYST is a competitive strategy card game focused on tactical combat, squad building, and ranked ladder play.

Now that the dust has settled, what's the verdict on the previous patch?
Definitely overall more balanced. Made zero sense for magmar to have mana burn as it was, but that faction really got gutted next to Vet.
It's actually looking alright for Vanar, finally, although Fenrir could use some tweaking.
Lyonar's seeming to do alright. People were whining about the Tempest nerf, but I think it'd probably be fine if they would just fucking fix Holy Immolation already.
Magmar is sort of alright. Aggro does well on it, but I haven't taken the time to use it in the current meta. Control isn't exactly, dead, either, but Mechaz0r is definitely harder to beat.
Abysshit isn't in a great place, because Abyss aggro has next to no counter besides provokes and token-based Abyss isn't nearly rewarding enough. I think they need to nerf aggro and buff the non-aggro to balance it out, but I'm not sure how they would go about doing that or even if that's the way to go about it.
Vet has lost its tactical side, and is pretty boring now. Just a buff/artefact class. I'm hoping they bring back SF synergy, or there won't be a lot of strategy involved. Maybe it doesn't need to change back. I'm not sure, but Obelysks definitely need a buff to become usable.
Songhai is still shit to play against, and doesn't really require any thought put it into it, because almost every fucking thing it does ignores positioning (which, if you can't tell, is a core aspect of the game).
Honestly, if they just removed muh weeb faction from the game next patch, I'd be pretty happy.
Our general would survive for longer if other high speed shitter generals wouldn't make new ones as soon as they get close to the bump limit
I've been in generals where we've been in #3 while #1 was still lingering around
>Vanar vs Vanar in shitter ranks
>be first, drop jaxi
>enemy drops fenrir on mana
>get mana with jaxi, drop Owlbeast sage, flashfreeze his fenrir
>he kills jaxi, drops another fenrir and does something else
>next turn mark the minijaxi, manaburn the first fenrir, polarity the sage, go face for 12
>he desperately removes my stuff
>drop keeper of the value, it resummons sage
I feel like a bully
>Realize most my Vanar issues as Vet was because I didn't have a way to remove their 3 HP's.
>Roll 3 Staff of Y'kir
>Go up against a Vanarshitter
>Get 2 staves and a Machynist
>Chase the cunt, punching the shit out of him and his shit.
>Mimic his Draugr and killl it.
>Stay on 8 HP
>Fucker equips Snowpiercer and goes "Well Played"
> I play my two Emerald's next turn.
Though it's not that bad now that Vanar has manaburn as a ranged method of dealing with them, a Songhai with the ranged artifact that jumped around with silhouette tracer or something was basically a death sentence before
poor guy, last turn he healed himself to 20HP and still die.
Depends. The are OK now tho their aggro is hard to deal with for some factions.
You gameplan will only work if you have Shadowdancers, Shadowwatchers usually get killed or removed before they do any good.
Last game I had VS Lyonar I lost because he dropped two of those back to back. Nasty buggers to get rid off if you don't have any kill spells.
Also what you /dyg/ want to see drawn? No smut (because I suck @ drawing and badly drawn smut is crap)
It's okay now since season started a while ago, but the first ~week is assrape central for bad decks/new players
There's barriers at ranks 0/5/10/20, meaning that you can't go above them once you've reached them, which somewhat protects lower ranks
Gets you through the first few games but isn't particularly vital at the moment. The problem is that your deathwatchers and other growing minions will pretty much never survive for a turn to actually deal damage, since there's a bazillion removals and dispels in this game. Pretty much the same problem obelysk vet has
You're right. I fought someone SIlver and they spammed removals/dispel at me.
Gonna try pic related as a deck. Is it any good? I've got a couple of rares/epic. Would it be worth disenchanting them to make it?
Sure, looks like a decent deck. If you want to craft stuff then probably get the emerald rejuvelators first, thery're used in a lot of decks and only rares.
What I did was pick one faction and disenchant literally everything possible from them, Vetruvian in my case. That gets you some dust to play around with.
Okay just enchanted everything from 2 classes. I got a grand total of 110 gold.
Am I okay to enchant these two epics?
Venomtooth can screw some factions over (Abbysian/Vetruvian more than most), buut it's very situational, could work sidedeck. Purgatos doesn't work for anny IMO, his HP is too low.
I was about to sperg out until I considered that you meand disenchant, not enchant
Yes, get rid of Purgatos for sure, Venom toth is also rather situational and I can't think of any decks that use him so go for it, I guess
No, he's inferior
>rng, you can't rely on getting the heal or damage when you need it
>not opening gambit like ER, might get no effect at all, ER is surefire
>3 or 3 vs 4
>1 attack less
Just got my first hate tell from a songay.
Shut down his ebin dagger kiri combo with a cosmic flesh on a sand howler.
>being mad at your opponent for covering their backs and placing provokes in the right places
It's a common phrase used to describe something belonging to a certain place, like best player (from)EU/NA when talking about e-sports or something.
He was spamming laugh emotes and I thought he was bming with Spiral Technique in hand and when he added me to say that I was laughing instead of trying to reply.
If they'd just kill Songoloids in the next patch I'd be happy. Ignoring the board almost completely just pisses me off.
An Emerald absorbing gunfire with his shield, but the bullets shatter like glass as soon as they hit his shield, and flow around him sort of like https://youtu.be/6Tbffj_04cI?t=2m14s
Venom Toth is interesting, I guess. It's certainly interesting in some decks, but it's more of a countermeasure than part of your main deck.
Purgatos isn't really viable in many situations. I don't know how they could buff it, but the only situation I can see you getting use out of it would be with Songhai or a Magmar aggro using Vindicator.
It's just going to get dispelled or really quickly removed. It might be annoying to your opponent if you play 3, but that's about it.
>that fucking wolfraven
Even my rat idea was better.
Also I just played against a retarded vanar right now who refused to clear my fucking foxes even if he could choosing instead to deal 15 damage to my general. This idiot will go on to complain about the foxes on the forum, I can feel it.
that is because the creatures you mentioned are played entirely for their stats, not for any synergy. When there are decks that need multiple specific 2 drops we will see it change but the meta is mostly about value at this moment.
unless your abyss or songay
