Now that the dust has settled, what's the verdict on the previous patch?

Definitely overall more balanced. Made zero sense for magmar to have mana burn as it was, but that faction really got gutted next to Vet.

It's actually looking alright for Vanar, finally, although Fenrir could use some tweaking.

Lyonar's seeming to do alright. People were whining about the Tempest nerf, but I think it'd probably be fine if they would just fucking fix Holy Immolation already.

Magmar is sort of alright. Aggro does well on it, but I haven't taken the time to use it in the current meta. Control isn't exactly, dead, either, but Mechaz0r is definitely harder to beat.

Abysshit isn't in a great place, because Abyss aggro has next to no counter besides provokes and token-based Abyss isn't nearly rewarding enough. I think they need to nerf aggro and buff the non-aggro to balance it out, but I'm not sure how they would go about doing that or even if that's the way to go about it.

Vet has lost its tactical side, and is pretty boring now. Just a buff/artefact class. I'm hoping they bring back SF synergy, or there won't be a lot of strategy involved. Maybe it doesn't need to change back. I'm not sure, but Obelysks definitely need a buff to become usable.

Songhai is still shit to play against, and doesn't really require any thought put it into it, because almost every fucking thing it does ignores positioning (which, if you can't tell, is a core aspect of the game).

Honestly, if they just removed muh weeb faction from the game next patch, I'd be pretty happy.

You gameplan will only work if you have Shadowdancers, Shadowwatchers usually get killed or removed before they do any good.

It's okay now since season started a while ago, but the first ~week is assrape central for bad decks/new players
There's barriers at ranks 0/5/10/20, meaning that you can't go above them once you've reached them, which somewhat protects lower ranks

Gets you through the first few games but isn't particularly vital at the moment. The problem is that your deathwatchers and other growing minions will pretty much never survive for a turn to actually deal damage, since there's a bazillion removals and dispels in this game. Sure, looks like a decent deck. If you want to craft stuff then probably get the emerald rejuvelators first, thery're used in a lot of decks and only rares.
What I did was pick one faction and disenchant literally everything possible from them, Vetruvian in my case. That gets you some dust to play around with.

Venomtooth can screw some factions over (Abbysian/Vetruvian more than most), buut it's very situational, could work sidedeck. Purgatos doesn't work for anny IMO, his HP is too low.

Venom Toth is interesting, I guess. It's certainly interesting in some decks, but it's more of a countermeasure than part of your main deck.

Purgatos isn't really viable in many situations. I don't know how they could buff it, but the only situation I can see you getting use out of it would be with Songhai or a Magmar aggro using Vindicator.

It's just going to get dispelled or really quickly removed. It might be annoying to your opponent if you play 3, but that's about it.

that is because the creatures you mentioned are played entirely for their stats, not for any synergy. When there are decks that need multiple specific 2 drops we will see it change but the meta is mostly about value at this moment. unless your abyss or songay
