Wizard bane edition
>What is BDO?
Black Desert Online is an MMO by Pearl Abyss currently in development on an English language port for western audiences, with additional changes. It's a sandbox MMORPG that features action-oriented combat, open world PVP territory control, trading, player housing, and more.
>What's the difference between the KR/JP builds and the NA/EU builds?
The NA/EU builds are using a new, Buy-to-Play model.
The KR/JP builds of the game are free to play.
The NA/EU builds also do not have the blader/plum & kunoichi/ninja classes planned for release.
>What are the details of the NA/EU buy-to-play model?
You pay upfront, 30 dollars (minimum) and there is no subscription fee. There will be a cash shop, which allows you to buy cosmetics, pets, and vouchers for things like skill resets. You also get access to the next (and possibly final) beta test (CBT2) by pre-purchasing.

If you need an invite to the KR guild post your character or family name in the thread and someone will invite you sooner or later.
First, topmost channel.
With the new xp changes that KR have just got from the CBT1 feedback you could probably just party up with some of the other weaker grinding classes and make just as much or more than you would alone.
I'm a bit late; sent you a message in game if you're still about.
Ranger (+Tamer) Awakening video for anyone that missed it last thread.
All the info if you elf sluts care to machine translate it.
Does anyone know when CBT 2 is?
I've really been craving to play some MMO and Black desert looks nice. Is there an archer class and is it satisfying to play as one or do you just feel like a machinegun spitting out arrows? I have not been paying that much attention to the classes and such so I don't really know what to expect.
Thread is on life support at the moment.
Guild money is running out, panic.
aka don't bother with shitty regular trading where you buy non-imperial boxes from traders
especially at low levels
so when you first start the game, don't trade nigger
serious question time, but what's the appeal to this game?
my last experience with a sandbox game was Age of Wushu in the /aowg/ and there was so many awesome war stories of guild battles, with one of them I was involved in where we got jailed in-game for 3 hours with the opposing guild's leader as we mocked him and laughed at him.
Yet with this game I scroll down and I don't see any fun stories and it's mostly just screenshots of beautiful landscapes and beautiful characters, but that's it.
What's the appeal to this game? are there any fun times to be had but you guys are keeping it to yourselves or something? I like how beautiful this game is and some of the cool webms I see posted, but other than that I don't see much talked about in terms of guild battles or random fun stuff to do with the group.
pic related, it's the jail I was in with the opposing guild's leader.
this makes zero sense.
I see people here already playing the game so it's clearly already out, just not the NA client/server, but the game's already been out and players of the KR/TW/RU servers are posters here too so my question is still valid.
apply yourself anon
Levels are irrelevant if you don't do combat, but it certainly can make getting contribution points easier (but it is already easy enough and generally doesn't necessitate combat and is more about getting around the world).
Craft at level 5 if you want. Just pump out workers as soon as you can and get them leveled up as soon as you start Velia, Heidel, Calpheon, etc. and have 5 energy to burn on them.
Of course, what workers gather will change based on how worthwhile processing is after the energy changes. You may ignore it entirely and just go another route that doesn't use any energy, which is what we're being directed to unless they change far more than just energy.
In conclusion, solely running caravans is not Jew enough.
CBT 1 is over and CBT 2 is still unannounced
not many people are actually bothering with foreign versions since NA will come out eventually and you have to pay to get into KR
most people don't even browse the general anymore since there isn't really anything to talk about anonymously until the game is out again
there's already a circlejerk on discord where people act gay if they're lonely
Mainly it's because all the big korean guilds have their foot pretty firmly in the door regarding the node conquest and whatnot, with the amount of active players we've got on KR at the moment it's unlikely we'd be able to sustain ourselves if we tried to take a node.
Personally I'd love to be getting into that side of things but you need to gear yourself up to a respectable pvp level as well and that takes a fair bit as well. I'm sure once NA/EU rolls out and the early conquest playing fields are a little more even you'll see a lot more of what you're after. Once the west gets Valencia there's jails in the desert too, although I'm not sure how they really work.
>Valkyrie Weapon Awakening [Lance and Shield]
>This new awakening will give the Valkyrie class more variety in her skills.
>Blessed by the Elven race, the Valkyries new shield is much more important and powerful.
>Valkyrie will be slightly slower reacting to enemy attacks due to the weight of her new shield and lance.
>But fear not! The combination of strong defense and new support awakening skills allow you to protect allies in battle.
>Make the most of the class by switching between sword and shield, or lance and shield!
>It will greatly enhance the power of the Valkyrie class.
Just hope that there aren't any shitty staff on payroll like B&S have, stealing your snowflake names.
How activate is the English player base on this server? I've thinking of buying an account.
Seems to be quite a few english refugees running about, I'd say about a fifth of the players I see have english names but most keep to themselves.
KR guild hit 22 people earlier today, and I think a few people plan to either stick around or come back to KR once EU/NA hits since they'll be behind content wise for a while still.
There'll be xp boosts every weekend for the whole of this month so it's a good time to start playing really. Hope you enjoy it, I know I have been.

Think the latter two are in the OP.
I love that they change up the music from time to time and add new variations of the old themes to the game.
I went to Calpheon for the first time in a long while recently and hearing that familiar yet new music was a nice touch.
I also remember the Velia band sounding a little different before.
this is the answer I was hoping to hear honestly. seems a bit slow though considering how AoW sounds the same but it was under the Viet's control and NA servers rolled out and we were at war with them at times too.
Good to hear at least
I feel the KR guild needs another little guild like us to be our rivals so there's a chance to get some pvp happening on the small scale.
As I said though, most of the things you're looking for would be posted about a lot more if some of the people here were able to get involved in the larger scale pvp scenarios and node battles.
Oh shit my nigga, were you in Loadsadings too?
Loved the shit out of that game, shame it went full jew
yeah I used to hang with YuWanSumDings when we did some jobs and it was great.
I wish the game didn't go full jew and I wish the freemium model didnt exist the way it did (forcing you to stay logged in to cultivate your EXP) otherwise I think most of us would have stayed for the long run because it was a truly sandbox experience unlike any other.
