Mobiglass is meant to be the main interface. You'll eventually use it to buy ships, their components, guns, armor and clothes for yourself and so on.
It's also the mission interface.
Well, that's actually a great question, we're now focusing on other aspects, but yeah, absolutely, at some point in the future you will be able to do all that and much more! Ok, so next question; FuRRy_GayLord asks...
From the little I know about this game, it looks pretty damn cool. However I checked out the game's website to try to get more information about it, but don't fucking understand it... all I see are price tags from $20 up to like $25,000.
I know that this is basically just a bunch of whales and pent up demand for a good space game throwing money at the devs due to the entertainment industry not wanting to fund something that isn't a tried and true rehash that's already done to death... but uhhh, wtf is going on? Is this just going to be some sort of high-tier-shit Korean P2W game or something?
If I wanted to just play a FPS+space flight game, go exploring with friends in a comfy space ship and shoot up shit along the way, what would I have to do?.. I wouldn't have to spend like $500 or do some soulless MMO grind would I? And what's with the crew sizes for ships, can you like get NPCs to stand in for when the players aren't doing stuff (so you could say, operate a 5 crew ship with 2-4 people, or idle in the ship while the NPC's fly it from point A to point B)?
Pic related looks like the coolest ship.
First of all, good taste, Carrack best ship.
It's suppossed to not be grindy, a "pay to not play" system, where people who don't have the time to play as much due to their job are not left behind, and they're supposed to have a greater disposable income. SUPPOSEDLY.
Best thing you can do is get the cheapest package and nothing more
I've not bought the game, the only thing I have is an account on the site (to reserve my name when I do buy something) but I seen someone selling a Titan with LTI on Reddit and I'd like to buy it.
So how does buying someone elses ship work, and is it even possible if I don't already have a starter package?
ships can be gifted to others, so you give someone your money, they gift the ship to you. You don't need to have any package to receive it afaik, but you need to own (bought or received) at least one game package with ship (not just ship standalone) to play the game.
if you melt it you won't have the game package anymore, so no
Either you have to get an avenger titan package or keep the poorora and add the titan separately
or just forget the LTI
you can upgrade the aurora package to replace the ship with titan, I think it'll cost you 35 or 40 bucks but not sure, don't own the aurora.
My advice would be to get an aurora LN or mustang package, as you gonna need it anyway, and then play the game and decide if you feel like sinking more money or not.
Also what's the deal with Aurora LN package, it does cost the same as the regular MR one?
But it lacks the "Includes everything you need to play Arena Commander today.", does it mean anything really?
The MR was probably originally Star Citizen + SQ42 + Arena Commander Pass whereas the LN was only Star Citizen + SQ42
Since they've removed alpha passes they look the same now.
welp, if there is anyone luring around planning to get the game then go for the LN package before they find out and fix this mess.
>Chris is paying some guy to make a Vanduul conlang
>one day we'll be able to have a Navy Seal pasta written entirely in Knifespeak
What a time to be alive
About how effective (in terms of a percent) do you think the Caterpillar will be able to salvage and scavenge as well as the Reclaimer?
I want to estimate that it will be about 35% to 45% as good as the Reclaimer, only restricted by less articulate tractor beams and smaller size of cargo.
My LN package has LTI so I should upgrade to something more valuable anyway right?
The only thing thay concerns me is the cargo capacity on the Titan Module and how its firepower are compared to Aurora LN.
the new damage modeling has to be applied manually to each ship. it's currently on the gladius and gladiator, and will no doubt be on the saber and anything else released from now forward.
does the freelancer have it? I have no idea.
Yes, it is a straight up upgrade unless the Avenger 's gun gets a sudden massive nerf at some point, or it turns out external cargo boxes are far better than having a traditional cargo hold. The only thing the LN has in it's favor is that it's a slightly smaller target
One of us, kek.
>private servers are last on the priority list
As it should be desu senpai. I want to blast those faggots and carebears to bits before they get the opportunity to scurry off to their own private safe spaces.
Alpha = eh, probably better off with LN
Beta = maximum cozy interior with eh everything elsa
Delta = Great
Gamma = fast with non-retarded pilot entry
Omega = fast with non-retarded pilot entry
Only this man can tell you. You must offer him cheese or he shall devour you.
>Using your fat folds as a cup holder
I'm glad his influence on Star Citizen will end in the next five years.
Jesus Christ... That image makes me ill.
You don't say?
It's supposed to be the UEE flagship in the single player campaign. Probably won't be flyable in anything but private servers as >>128387015 said. Closest will be the Bengal which is quite a bit smaller and won't be able to be 'owned' by people as such but can definitely be flown.
Seems to be a Squadron 42 ship only. It's a flaghip UEE builds in response to Vaduul attack and subsequent war. I don't think it will even appear in the first part of single player campaign , except maybe in the very end as the end/post credit sequel hook.
This picture triggers me.
There is no way you would build a ship that large in atmosphere. The thrust required to get it out of the gravity well would be phenomenal, and it's not it's got any lift to help it like the rest of the space planes.
Then again, I can't remember if this was just a fan mock up and I'm getting the 'Tism shakes over nothing.
That's from a Monthly Report
>all those people who insisted the Broken Moon Terraformer wasn't really as large as the old scale comparisons said it was
Eh, I'm not autistic, so i don't care as much. The picture is official.
Scroll to the frankfurt part.
It will either one hit Kingship or nuke the surface of Grinder or some other planet
And then it will blow up
Thanksgiving-ish, during the Anniversary sale, when clever and sly Chris Roberts sold a concept snub-fighter ship: P-72 Archimedes.
This 30 dollar ship had LTI because it was technically a concept sale, and then everyone and their mother was buying the P-72 Archimedes to CCU (cross-chassis upgrade) into any other ship that had a higher value than 30 dollars, which is all but 2 ships in the game.
Mind you, during this time at the anniversary sale, all the other concept ships you can't normally get, were up for sale again. Chances are, you might not be able to get LTI again unless there's somehow another concept sale with LTI and low-cost (like 30$). Chances are, that won't happen again.
If it does though, it may be next Thanksgiving when Chris Roberts opens up the LTI gate.
>tfw you can just buy LTI in-game as a one off premium on your ship
>tfw insurance will turn out to be dirt cheap in game
>get in Aurora with patented Big Box upgrade
>find likely asteroids
>shoot bits off
>EVA out and lasso the bits
>cram them into the box by hand
>return to station/planet
>find your citizenship has been demoted to Mexican
I'm sure insurance will be cheap for an aurora, probably even a Hornet.
Insuring an Idris or Javelin won't be cheap. That's where LTI breaks into the more significant advantage
How did all the Smart shit play out? Was the cunt totally wrecked? SC is still fully on track, right?
Every time I tell myself I should go get good with my Avenger, I think that this shit is probably all just going to fail anyway, so why waste the time.
He and the goons like beer are still sperging about SC. There are barely negative press articles on SC anymore and despite the delays and all Squadron 42 and the PU made it on several "anticipated games 2016" lists. Also, one of the bigger Youtuber in germany, piet smiet with 2 million followers, introduced the game to his viewers. Some additional features were added for the long run. Despite what smart claims while having no evidence to back up we already saw a quick demo on planetary landing and seamless transition from planet to space.
Short: game is still on track, devs push out new builds extremely often (causing people with slow Internet to mourn the 30GB patches), it still takes money in and won't run out at any point in the near future.
Smart himself went from speculating and sperging about SC based on an insider to speculating and sperging about SC without an insider and now focuses instead on Sandi and the community. While his own "game" is still shit.
To be honest, I fucking suck at Arena commander, and I don't enjoy it because of that (I did well in Vanduul Swarm when I had a Beta, which made me feel like upgrading, but moving to the new weapons system disoriented me, and I realized how much I relied on no-ammo gimballed lasers).
However, I'm very interested in the PU, so I'd actually be motivated to put the time into AC to git gud if I didn't have doubts about the game coming out as promised. And if Squadron 42 and the PU come out as promised despite my doubts, I'll have motivation then and there to git gud, even if I'll just be a scrub at the beginning.
And which would that be? Line of Defense Tactics that was completely done by a contractor that was quite some experience in mobile games or the wow clone Alganon, a game developed by Quest Online under David Allen, that was then bought by Derek and ran into the ground in months?
Your post makes me feel nostalgic
Its been done before, hasn't it
>people are spending thousands of real dollars on ships
>they could get the game for $40
>they're cucking themselves out of any meaningful enjoyment
>they're driving a pay to win mentality
Why do they do this?
I do it to harvest tears like your own.
It gives me such a boner to know that you get more and more pissed off with every dollar I hand over to Chris' coke habit.
In fact I think I need to go jack off now. Thanks.
They're not playing star citizen. They're playing a different game, where you win by giving the developer all of your money.
to win at having more shit than others.
They literally don't care and don't feel like spending money on meaningful things, or saving it like a responsable adult.
They're manchildren given a perpetual moneysink in the form of the series of concept sales.
PTU is fairly playable, yeah. You can do missions, FPS, multi-crew, and travel around a single star system.
There are quite a few issues, but certainly playable.
>jump in the current PTU build
>mini PU still sucks dick framerate wise
>single player is still great
My rig is ok. I'm using hopefully a user.cfg in the correct way. ( http://pastebin.com/ZMwPU0rC )
Do I have to activate that shit in some way? Deleted USER folder before starting the game.
It's a lot better now, but there are still some issues sometimes. Main problems I've had are sounds repeating endlessly and the little 3D models of your target not showing up on most ships.
The connie is a VHF from Freelancer. it sacrifices agility for sheer armor and firepower. Plus the Freelancer is meant to be the more middle-ground jack-of-all-trades master-of-none thing. The Connie has no point in being agile.
Yeah, but try telling the connie owners that. The hornet fags are annoying, but at least all they want is for their ship to be the best at its primary role. The Connie fags want their ship to be able to dogfight while carrying more cargo than freelancer MAX, and be able to win a fight against three super hornets at once.
>Can't fly my jpegs because the server is shit. (Can't for reasons use the Freelancer Dur in Vanduul Swarm either.)
>Can't [OPERATE] because Ubisoft and servers, lol
>Can't into Hearthstone right now because fuuuuck
>Skippy is busy jerking his wife's cock and doesn't entertain me either
>You guys just suck
What to do?
Wait, Panther or Prowler? I keep seeing it get referred to as the Prowler in some videos online, but even in the Star Citizen wiki, it's noted as Pegasus. Or is it just "Pegasus-class"?
>As the ambassador of "GirlGamers"
Holy fuck, I forgot about this tranny a year ago. This is fucking gold. Many blessings to you, Anon.
Just upgraded my Aurora LN to a Avenger Titan.
Should I replace all the weapons except for the missiles?
If so, M4A Laser? Tarantulas? ??
Assume he's talking about REC.
Well, they're going to balance the shit out of the Constellation until it can take a beating and dish out enough damage to force a stalemate between 3 Hornets.
Its disadvantage will mostly be heavy fighers and things like Gladiators, which it will have a hard time avoiding the hits of.
Right now a Gladius can beat it to shit without much trouble because everything is fucked, thats what Connie owners are complaining about.
Rent. Do not buy ever. Keep the nose gun, and put S2 Tarantulas on the wings. You may or may not want to replace the missiles depending on how much REC you have to waste. All missiles are terrible right now, and can't target for shit. But on the rare chance you do actually get one to make contact with a ship, a tempest II will do a lot more damage than the stock S1 missiles.
>is there a source stating you won't be able to change out the gimbal in the future?
But there is no indication that they moved any closer to allow changing the nose gun either, even though the ship just had a new variant released.
>only real measure of a spaceships's "speed" is its acceleration
>top speed is an arbitrary stat not calculated from acceleration
>high accel ship could have a slower top speed than a low accel ship
>low dv ship could overtake a high dv ship
Someone mentioned jet fuel can't melt steel beams, then someone else was accused of being a conspiracy theorist then ben said something like "Not all conspiracies are made up. Sandy Hook was a hoax."
So on one end of the fight-y freighters scale we have the Cutlass that has a 210m/s SCM speed and holds 33 units and on the other end we have the Constellation Taurus which does a SCM of155m/s and holds 300+ units
And in the middle there's the Freelancer which has a SCM speed of 170m/s but holds only 55 units.
Yeah, I'm not seeing a situation I'd ever want to use a Freelancer with those stats. The lancer either needs to be faster or hold more cargo to scale better with the other ships.
that is 343 tier shitty armor design right there
Makes me worried that the Avenger's bugged SCM speed on the PTU is because they meant to change it to 195m/s and accidentally typed a "2" in place of a "1" again.

I didn't, I made my bio the remove kebab copypasta but replaced every instance of "kebab" with either "alien" or "goons"
apparently that triggered their mods, I've never even posted a single time on the SC forums
>got rid of a bunch of ships last year
>the spare change got me over the line to preorder the overpriced Oculus CV1
Please tell me they are trying to have VR implemented properly by June. Star Citizen + VR has been my holy grail goal since 2012.
That fucking cinema frame rate. That god awful resolution. Fucking .gif in 2016!
>are the goons forum mods or some shit?
No they're just hypertensive about any banter aimed their way and there's dozens of them just lurking and waiting to report honest internet folk for hurting their feelings.

I hope you remembered your safe word, Newfriend. <:^)
/scg/ i have a question related to hardpoints/ship weapons, i am relatively new to the game
I own a gladius and have opted to switch out the pivoting S1 lasers on the wings for fixed S2 lasers
I can put a S2 laser on the nose gun but it wont attach without the scorpion mount which makes the laser a pivoting weapon no matter what.
How can i set up the nose mount to be fixed so that the shots line up exactly with the fixed wing mounts, hence i can hold both LMB/RMB on the same target at once
It's boring, too full of sycophants, and they moved all the ship drama to containment boards.
>he paid money for a 970
>he thinks it will run anything
I wish they didn't have insurance for ships. It's gonna make griefing much harder.
I guess I can always ruin your experience with the fps portion though.
Enjoy paying thousands of dollars for .jpgs when I kill your dudes without a ship.
>cant seem to shoot anything but missles which cant seem to manage to hit anything
>get turrets fully manned
>no one can hit anything or do any damage
>melt it for other ships to try
>realize i got it on sale and cant buy it back with store credits, instead have to throw another $150 at chris roberts if i want it back now
>mfw the "mile high club"
They really don't try that hard to not give people serious doubts about their intentions do they
>The character used is a story character from SQ42 called Joachim Steiger.
WE GON BE GERMANS AND SHIET!
Germany has had real, actual black people (i.e., not islamic half-arabs from north of the Sahara) since the 1920s.
They were the African soldiers who fought for Germany in WW1, and chose not to stay in the now British or South African-occupied territories.
You can keep your 'Syrians', I wouldn't mind a descendant of the Kaiser's soldiers in my family, no matter if he is of African descent or not.
>cue Heil dir im Siegerkranz
PS Messer did nothing wrong
Before Derek Smart:
After Derek Smart accusing CIG of racism:
>token nigger on AtV
>niggers everywhere in promo material
>nigger in SQ42
I cannot stand niggers. I just want my mods to cleanse the game at this point.
>go to SC yt channel for the first time in years
>watch random video
>token nigger with "MONEY" hat
>3 morbidly obese people
>including landwhale that looks like tumblr feminist
what the fuck is this shit, I kinda expected SC to be a more classy operation
Why the fuck do we still have different speed limits for different ships including your ship going faster if it is badly damaged. They should just give everything the same top speed and let people figure out themselves how fast they really want to fly their ship depending in their acceleration and maneuverability. Weight, damage, engine power and even the fucking loudout would still come into consideration with that system and you could still balance everything around the acceleration alone instead of having those retarded different top speeds on every ship like we have now.
Yeah but when would you lose thrust except when you completely lose your engine? The system is just dumb, I mean I know that they use your acceleration to calculate your top speed but it just makes no fucking sense, I would be okay if it was a safety measure you could disable but this is trash
>Yeah but when would you lose thrust except when you completely lose your engine?
When your powerplant gets hit
When you cooling system gets hit
And you gain/lose mass depending on your cargo/fuel/ore/salvage/weapon/missile load.
The system is fine. Make you think about if you really want that 2 ton missile or want to go for the less capable 500lb one.
>You can keep your 'Syrians'
But it looks like Merkel wants YOU to have them.
>or for them to have you.
To be honest, it reminded me of Hellgate London more than Dead Space.
I hope we get at least squadron 42 at the end of this year.
They really need to institute some kind of limitation to keep all these newfaggots from posting threads in the Game Ideas forum. 50% of the threads in Game Ideas are shit that's been confirmed in the game for over a year.
It's a TV show called The Expanse. It's a SyFy original series based off of a book series of the same name. Also, yes, I know.
Everybody greentexts this, everybody knows SyFy is shit. Just watch the show. It's worth it.
Mild spoilers. A ship battle from Episode 4 between the Mars Congressional Republic Navy's flagship and multiple unknown attackers. People have been posting about it on the Star Citizen forums off and on, which is why I eventually decided to watch it. I bet Chris is a fan, what with all the FIDELITY.
it's a chick
and yes she's very fucking annoying and a poorly written character.
when the actor actually gets to act though its ok, i feel like it's just the producers breathing all over the place.
How many sci-fi shows do you know that have a strong start?
I know none. All of them have a weak start and get decent in season 2 onwards.
This show starts strong(kinda boring) and gets better by the episode. Watch it. If you're interested in Star Citizen you should like this as well.
>there's a token nigger in it
I am confused as to which character you are referring to. If you mean Fred Johnson he's
known as the Butcher of Anderson Station because he blew up a mining station full of civilians under the presumption that they were terrorists and everybody hates him for it.
This is from
But I feel the need to bring this up, I hadn't really realize just how much the Carrack looks like an uncut cock until seeing it on the left there. It's not just me right? I mean seriously that's uncanny. Was it intentional I wonder?
What happened to the scout? It's fucking huge. Also that cockpit might be even worse than the Hornets.
I can still join Kong though right?
Thanks for bringing facts to the newcoming Citizens in this thread, anons.
I still don't know why, but I don't mind homosexuals at all, but when it comes to transvestites, any bit of liberalism in me comes to a screeching halt.
Holy hell, I don't even own a Xi'an Scout and my dick is rock hard from looking at the landing position of the Karthu 'al (spelled as close as I could).
Only problem is that in flight mode, I think it's going to be a very easy target to hit like Boba Fett's "Slave I" from Star Wars.
The fucker better be really fast, or it will crumble under light, sustained fire.
Forgot to add my picture. Tee-mother-fucking-god-damn-hee.
I wouldn't mind if Ben was fat and interested in cool sci-fi shit, or even old school D&D
1st edition AD&D being the newest that anyone with balls should go, but he seems interested in all of the gayest shit in the world, not excluding that "My Little Pony" shit.
The only reason I need him to live is for my Endeavor.
It's supposed to be Mustang gamma speed. And last I heard they were going for a strong shield, weak hull deal with it. It seems large, but most of that size is also narrow pylons and spikes. I don't know how easy it will be to hit in practice..
>Mustang gamma speed
>strong shield, weak hull
God.... Damnit... Why the hell didn't I scrounge enough money together to get this before getting the Sabre recently? This seems like the ideal ship for me in every way. I don't mind not having stealth, but being really fast in an alien ship with high shields is the
Protosslife for me.
The whole time, I was convinced it wouldn't be worth the purchase because I thought it had only maneuverability, and both weak shields and weak armor/hull.
Have they said anything about what happens when you log out?
I'm wondering if we're going to have to keep turning the ship around and spending a few minutes picking up our buddy that fell out of the ship because his network dropped.
Would be cool if using a bed on a ship would let you log off and then log back in on the ship still.
Maybe if everyone logs off, the ship despawns after some amount of time until someone logs back in.
Originally the second person was suppose to have their own seperate bubble, I guess it's shared now.
>still thinking medium/large multiplayer will work
>YOU CAN DO ANYTHING
>14 player lobbies rn and lags like shit
>WUH WUH WERE FIXING IT
who here is ready for thousands of instances?
You do realize the inside of every ship is its own instance with seamless transition between instances right? If you had bothered to actually pay attention to the technology they've had to build from the ground up to make this game work then maybe you wouldn't be forced to type all capital greentexts to attempt to get your point across.
Or maybe I understand the current limitations of technology and knew that it was a bad idea from the start?
This is literally proof they can't have more than a few players in the same area at one time, are you going to have a patchwork of instances run along every few meters?
Just face it bub, theyre going to make some crazy half assed compromise
>Or maybe I understand the current limitations of technology and knew that it was a bad idea from the start?
Alright Derek, I'm sure you're a professional game designer with dozens of successful titles under your belt and more than 20 years of experience in the industry too. Keep talking out of your ass.
In the past a dropped player simply gets an AI to take over if in a fight or some hostile condition/ proximity to something. The AI will book it to the nearest station/landing zone/safe zone. You can only poof out of existence when not in a hostile situation and only when your ship has a bed, so there won't be any of Elite's bullshit. Anything without a bed needs a landing zone I think.
Not sure what happens when the guy who owns the ship logs off with buddies on board in a safe zone. I don't think the ship poofs and you have 5 people flung into space. I think someone said you just fast travel to the last landing zone or station.
You're the one making retarded claims about shit you don't know anything about. CIG has designed the game to keep every ship as its own instance with seamless transition between them. That is a fact. Any bullshit you have to spew about the "limitations of technology" are your own retarded statements with absolutely nothing to back them up. Go jerk yourself off in Derek Smart's twitter and get the fuck out of /scg/
lol you're so infatuated with developer statements yet you don't know shit about servers. the 'instancing' they refer to could mean literally nothing. True instancing as it lies now is the lobby system where all are separate servers.
That way you only tax the one server, by separating spaces into instances you preserve bandwidth at the cost of more servers which is a shitty system that has existed since forever.
To string them together is far from 'seamless' its an ugly process that throws the user into limbo while transitioning.
congrats on being the target audience though.
What star ciitzen needs is a breakthrough in technology on both a hardware and software level, and I'm sorry for being skeptical but hey. It's really unlikely.
>CIG has designed the game to keep every ship as its own instance with seamless transition between them.
CIG has designed an abortion of a game that's going to play like jankey shit.
to back my shit up look at any other MMO or even multiplayer game in the past. Not a single one has as complex a physics system nor such a demanding load of flexible functions.
This isn't just some fluke series of lazy programming, there is just an insane amount of data transfer and CPU from both the player and server required.
Currently in modern games you're lucky to get 20+ players together.
This game is supposed to have millions at the same time.
gargantia. literally two episodes with space stuff, but it does have cute
>Look mom, I posted it again!
I almost forget how there was a 40v40 battle over days in Alterac Valley back in..2004? 2005? Or how we have shooters with hundreds of players working without lag in the same map focused on small regions.
But sure, tell me that games produced by studios that have the knife of a greedy publisher on their neck who only want another cashcow and nothing innovative are the limits of technology. Go on.
Next thing you tell me landing on the moon was impossible as well because of the lack of technology at that time.
>I almost forget how there was a 40v40
Probably one of the worst examples.
If you actually read my post
>Not a single one has as complex a physics system nor such a demanding load of flexible functions.
You're really comparing wow to star citizen?
Are you that dense?
Wow transmits an XYZ and input output strings, a few kilobytes of data.
But with physics you have to check and recheck that all clients are reacting the same way because hiccups in the system can create differences on each clients. Servers are fucking complicated dude.
I'm not saying that they shouldn't try, of course they should, why wouldn't I want a breakthrough in technology that fixes current MP games shitty issues?
Chris is promising the world and to be realistic it is unlikely we will see a high amount of players at any given time. The same thing recently happened with eternal crusade.
Hahahaha.... It only goes 180 in combat mode.
>the 'instancing' they refer to could mean literally nothing
Making it excessively clear you don't know anything about this game, have no idea how the systems they've set up for this game work, and are talking purely out of your ass.
>and I'm sorry for being skeptical but hey
What you are doing is not being skeptical. What you are doing is spreading misinformation based on your own personal opinions. Congratulations you're on par with every other faggot that has been screaming that the game is vaporware for two years. In fact, I bet you're one of them and you're just moving on the next ignorant "criticism" you managed to come up with after the vaporware accusations were destroyed by 2.0.
Congratulations, your post is made of a greentext meme and a bunch of red herrings.
Most people seem to had been expecting 200+ something speed but with shitty turning capabilities. Basically the "boom and zoom" fighter the Avenger was suppose to be. There's going to be some butt hurt vanguard owners tonight.
>how is a functioning system of offloading physics calculations and player activity to an instanced ship environment different from "literally nothing"
You're either pretending to be retarded, or actually retarded.
Pleb here, quick question: what the fuck is 'instancing' and why are people skeptical about it?
>tfw I could have melted my Mustang and Avenger, then upgraded my MIS to any Vanguard I wanted and start flying so soon
>>how is a functioning system of offloading physics calculations and player activity to an instanced ship environment different from "literally nothing"
thats not instancing dude thats just what multiplayer games do.
your rebuttal should be something like: it's innovative new tech that uses: x x and x.
You're either pretending to be retarded, or actually retarded.
Adding to that, I have played games where they had 'instances' but I've always associated that with a loading screen break while transitioning between areas. How is CIG doing this without that transition?
Players will be separated onto different servers essentially even when in the same area and not be able to interact directly with each other. I.E. 200 players in one area may be split into 4 instances (hypothetically) and only be able to interact with those 50 players in their instance.
Nobody outside of CIG knows right now
>what the fuck is 'instancing'
separating players into physics and render grids for processing's sake, mostly invisible to the player
>and why are people skeptical about it?
because they don't understand how it works.
Instancing is when players are divided into separate servers even though they are in the same location in the game.
For example if a game has location X, several parties could be at location X at the same time, yet in different instances so they never interact with each other.
People want lots of interaction and will be upset if the number of players in an instance is too few.
>Our original EVA system is remaining for the time being
>after testing and feedback we opted to disable the first iteration of our new physicalized EVA system
lame, I wanted to play with that stupid shit
From what I understand it was a nightmare to move around in the world.
There was but CiG disabled it in one of the RC patches to the PTU because it was god awful. You can probably find Youtube videos of it.
2.1 patch notes.
>Million Mile High Club
>Saber in your Hanger
>Freelancer flight ready
>Vanguard Warden flight ready
>Vangaurd bathroom door
>Can't exit ship in AC except for Free Flight
>New Gatling gun added to store, size 4
>Only lock and fire 2 missiles at a time except 325a
>325a is still ass.
>Bug fixes, UI tweaks, and improvements
Every fucking patch I have to redownload the whole fucking game all over again
I'm not even on poverty internet, redownloading 29gigs is just so excessively fucking obnoxious especially for what amounts to not much
That's the case for everyone.
That's why the PTU is only if you have superinternet.
I've been waiting for live since PTU patches would take all day and make me unable to use the internet at all during that time.
>Aegis fighter pack
Atleast name it apropriately...
>New releases pack
I wonder if the front guns still move up right next to the cockpit or if they've ditched that horrible concept?
