My first team was Carp, Geese, Bo. Somewhat suboptimal (Wally took me like 5 tries, no joke) not to mention that the ending was quite anticlimactic, but I had fun. Carp is great especially joyed.

First pain mode team, not much to say here, Shocklord is best party member and Percy is underrated, he can burn and is one of the best healers in the game, not to mention fast as fuck.

Pain Mode Sweet Tea Rakeem took me like 10 tries (and I saved right before the Road Scholars, too...) but it wasn't particularly hard after that. Killed Satan with little difficulty even.

Its been in development since 2000, When it was "release' on steam the developer actually rushed the update so that they he could get it onto steam after doing this he went back from the official release of 1.0 back to beta builds.

The developers kinda given up on the game at this point and was already doing stuff in 2011.

What's even more interesting is he rushed it to dodge steam greenlight.

So guys, what's your favorite and least favorite walking simulator?

My personal favorite is .Flow for its heavy atmosphere and music.

My least favorite, of the ones i've played through. would be Lisa: The First. The game is very ugly and frustrating (which might have been the intention) and it lacks any kind of sublety, being very on the nose with alot of its themes and characters.

Dr. Langeskov was good, though.

The only walking simulator I played was Lisa the First, unless you count Always Sometimes Monsters which was pretty much walking without the nonsensery. The newest and final release still has a good amount of bugs, but i havven't met any game breaking ones. There's one that shows up very frequently, the one where you can't open the cash register. so you just lose a sale.

I really enjoyed playing it though, it's not "fun" per se, but it is entertaining.
The fact that as Vinny, you can stay up literally forever is kind of fun, because it means instead of being tied down to a daily rutine, you are limited by how long you as a player can stand to play the game.

Well there were a number of animal mask folks. Why not a pig/boar? I don't know if we saw any of those in LISA. Might could go the 'guy is a pig' route and have him have dialogue about getting thrown out of Queen's establishment for being 'too lecherous' and has a lot of making enemies weird/sick/etc

There wasn't a clown of any type that I recall either. There was Jack, but not a clown with like...I dunno, balloon animals or something. You could implement something like Brad's WASD input for his wild folding methods and get different results based on the inputs? (a dog that does animal-based bite damage, a gun, a flower, etc)

Either a medical school reject or just the son of a doctor or something that is a physician/surgeon, might be one of the few left in olathe. But might have a slight fetish for limb removal ala Buzzo so if he can remove limbs from patients, he will.

Here's one I had in mind.

His name is Denny, a cripple who people regularly mistake as a Joy Mutant. He's been in this state well before the Flash.

Despite being weak in every respect, his ability to scare people with his Joy Mutant impersonations and deep poison them with his expired meds will land much more often than any other partner, bypassing complete resistances at times. He can also beat people with his broken arm for high damage.

Chain throw - Damages and may stun.
Bottle of piss - Blinds all enemies enemy
Insult - Pisses an enemy
Spider senses - Increases team accuracy
Survival food - Gives a delicious maggot for a team mate. Increases health.
Clean piss - Increases a team mate TP.

But if you wanna make a boss go ahead.

A failed gambler who sees himself as a high Roller. Considers the white flash his luckiest day because it wiped away his gambling debts (really quickly got into mag debt tho)

-scratch off, which causes blinding on enemies (scratch off dust) and gives a random status effect to a party member (cool, rage, crying)
-Russian Roulette, 1 in 6 chance of causing MASSIVE DAMAGE

Seagal: Once a regular old retailworker, Seagal was viciously attacked by a seagull one time when at the docks eating a hotdog. Ever since that day he became Seagalgull! Half man, half seagull! He prays upon the evil of Olathe with his mighty cardboard wings and fake beak. Like the the mighty animal his special move is a diving attack from any elevated platform.

Alan: Before the flash, he was proctologist, now, he is the only one within walking distance who has any medical training. He really knows how to abusive his enemies' "weakspot", as well as basic CPR.

Daniel: An avid coin collector who stayed mostly locked inside his house after the flash. paranoid that anyone could just waltz in and steal his precious mint-condition limited-edition coins. Not to speak of his large collection of other collectables like mags. comic books and silver spoons.

Liam Hogan: Before the flash, he was nobody, but now, his extreme facination with apocalypse survival has finally payed off! His fallout shelter contains many important objects like; VHS tapes (both pornographic and the first 4 of the Rocky movies), large quantities of non-perishable foods, even larger quantities of perishables foods (most rotten) and a radio, which seems to just play one song on loop after the flash. Luckily, watching his tapes so many times has left him with a questionable boxing technique, and a strong right arm.

Gill Specter: A pharmacautical expert with no actual education, he has tried just about every drug there is, including both perscription and illegal. He however, has not yet found a drug that can either rid his pain or get him to feel good. He'll probably join the player after being given joy, and as such, becomes an addict very quickly.

A trap/trannie. Can fluster enemies like Buddy and tempt people into focusing their attention on him. Has a move called flash which can cause a lot of status effects to the enemy team, but only works once per battle and disables some of his abilities for the rest of the fight. You have to pay his boyfriend a certain amount of mags, or you can just kill him instead.

Hippy. Drug addict who used to make crack before the flash, but now tries to experiment with flash by mixing it with other chemicals to get a better high. His basic attack actually heals the enemy, but items have enhanced effects when you use them (fire bombs do more damage when he chucks them, jerky heals more, etc.) Used to be a pacifist, but his joy addiction gives him a violent streak. Must be beaten up to recruit.

If an '!', it's essentially the same as before but allows for custom sizes. Putting a '!$' in front of the filename will allow for a single charset and custom sizes.

It's very short (3 hours tops) but kinda fun. The battle system is very generic and easily broken, and the writing is clever at times but not exactly stellar. Most of the charm comes from the pencil artstyle and abstract humor (which is alright but has some pretty bad moments like the dinosaur battle or "fedoria euphoria"). Worth 0.50 or w/e it's going for now, just don't go in expecting a worthy spiritual successor of OFF or anything but a quirky 3 hour RPG Maker game.

Hawk Hollywood, Han Tsunami and Buffalo are on the list, so presumably she'd fight them as bosses. Fighting Han as Buddy with no party would be a fucking pain, though.

I wonder if Brad would've still turned even if Buzzo didn't force fed him Joy? Brad seems to have already been pretty highly Joy addicted at the beginning of the game so maybe he was already "mutated". Given that his "desire" was strong enough to pursue Buddy so crazy far and cause him to do so many dubious things it seems possible to me.
