So I'm trying to do spooder in this gear, and it deals more damage on the last phase than I can heal with brews. Should I get different armor? I was switching reflect prayers as best I could.

Also, I forgot to lure the acidic spiders under Araxxor, and have yet to find out exactly what benefit it gives. I understand it increases his damage during phase 3, but what does it do to phase 4?

Your armor is fine. Use supreme sharpshooter if you have it, the accuracy is much more useful than the healing from vamp. Get a superior scrimshaw of cruelty, it will help with dps too.

If you don't lure the acidic spiders in phase 3, Araxxi will absorb them on phase 4, making her hit harder. If you're just starting to learn I would recommend luring them on phase 3 since you're likely having the most problems on phase 4.

Also - where are you standing? If you're ranging stand 3 squares away, it makes prayer switching easier than if you're farther because the attacks travel at different speeds, and it's still far enough that you won't get hit by cleave unless you get pulled.

It is several million an hour at current prices. Pre EOC she took significantly longer to kill so she had good normal drops, and the occasional bone kit, visage, or kiteshield gave boosts to profits. She became easy and those became worthless, but her normal drops don't lose value because they are consumed resources.

She is still 3-5m an hour overall depending on kill speeds, so making 1m an hour means the kills are slow.

Her overall drops became less profitable over the past few years, but the number of kills per hour has also risen slowly as we got more abilities and power creep, so the actual profitability of the boss has barely gone down in comparison to other bosses who held value from their rare drops.

Also yes all of her rare drops lost their value when EOC came out, gutting her and inviting everyone to camp her easily.

Can you tell me where I can see that history (2013 through 2014)? I just remember being able to sell them for that much normally when I did qbd. I can only see 7.7k in may of 2013 and 9k in october of 2014 on the inet archive.

Anyhow you'll notice that without a doubt 2013 and 2014 had higher average value on lanta. Closing into 2015 the price kept a steady but over-all lower value.
I haven't checked all her other valued items but I wager they're lower than they've been in the past few years.

I'm someone else but I agree. QBD can be done bloody fast now so cheaper commodity isn't so relevant when considering how fast QBD can be killed.

I picked a number below the highest point they ever had (nearly 7k each in 2011). They only broke 5k for a couple month stint around the start of 2014 and other than that fluctuated between 2 and 4k most of the time, occasionally almost hitting 5k.

Yes, and were announced beforehand, so the period around a bonus time typically has inflated prices because people stop selling them in anticipation of rising prices.

So you are pointing at the highest point those resources had. Most of 2013 had lants averaging about 7k, rising from 5k at the start of the year, late 2013 and early 2014 surrounding the BXP hype it exceeded 10k, and afterwards dropped back to an average of 8k. Late 2014 they kept dropping, and lants haven't been over 8k in over a year now. So the only time they were averaging 10k was around bxp and the only time in the past several years they were at their best price.

And then all of this assumes that kill speeds stayed the same and that all of the drops lost significant value. Neither of these are true. QBD has probably gone down in gp/hr but the difference in the past year would be like 4.5m down to 4m which is nothing for a several year old boss with no special loots, compared to other moneymaking methods which go to shit if everyone does them. If QBD's cash rates were to take a nose dive it would have to be something like an update to triple her hp making the fight last closer to the original length.

The timeline of when I was killing the QBD is based on the dates of screenshots I took of some loot, and when I got 99 prayer (what I spent some of the money on). It's not exact, but it's definitely around the right time. (if there's a way to see way father back in my adventurers log let me know)

My memory of what I got for dbones in mid 2014 was wrong; it was 4-4.5k (tops) not 5-5.5k. I think I'd worked on prayer during the February BXP weekend and paid 5.5k for some bones during that time. The memories of the prices bled together.

The average price of dbones was consistently about 4.25k after the BXP weekend until September though, then sank. My memory of what I was getting for lantadyme does seem to be correct, but you're also correct in your statement that it was above average, for the reason noted below.

As seen on the graphic, the time I was last killing the QBD happens to coincide with the release of the Enlightenment aura, which raised the price from what I would agree is a correct estimate of 8k for the lantadyme.

In the end, I assumed that my experience with the loot value was the norm, but the time sample was too small. The actual average prices of the consumables were / are much lower than I'd assumed. At least I won't have to rely on memory again now that I know there's a longer term price database.

The zealot's amulet gives significantly less accuracy than reaper's, and it's garbage in comparison to turmoil + reaper unless you reach 100% accuracy anyways to use the increased damage it deals. Melee doesn't need an a scrimshaw of accuracy anywhere it matters, and instead could use the attackers insignia or the vampyrism scrimshaw to avoid losing any damage output through raw DPS.
