Updated my emunand to 9.5, now when I boot into emunand it gives me a popupm saying "setting up home screen" that turns into a black screen.

Apparently this works as a fix, but how do I tell which folder is my emunand's? I see two, one called 08df9e and one called b1c8a83

Is it safe to change my theme using cmm2 in the homebrew launcher on my emunand?

Once I get my NAND, I take it out of the SD card permanently, right? Or do I keep it in the emuNAND9 folder?

Just rename it (add an underscore to the beginning rather than deleting) and it should work. if not, try the other folder.

Downgraded the 2DS to 9.2 and have some retarded questions but I think they are simple, please stay with me.
-Have MH4U digital and ALBW was free stuff, smash and pokemon are physical. If I don't really care about losing those 2 games/saves as they are console tied can I just reset the SD card in the 2DS to fast things up?
-If I can do the above there is there a real need in unlinking the 2 sys and emu?

if you haven't installed any themes yet... go into sysnand (open system settings and leave) and change the icon display to like 1 row or some shit.
then go into emunand. if your homescreen is NOT 1-row across (or however you changed it in sysnand) you're in emunand.

There isn't anything showing you which one you are on.
But if you went through rxtools of crtboot or whatever its called you are most likely on emunand.
Easiest way to check is to go to settings, but then you boot back into sysnand.

You can change the emunand theme though and it doesn't break menuhax.
So just change emunand to a different theme and it will be easy to tell.

9.5 is the highest version that has exploits on n3ds. and as of now, no games require higher than 9.5 to run (i believe). if there are any, they can just be fw spoofed.

I tried to put the directory in root as instructed and in the 3ds folder but this shit is not showing up on the homebrew launcher menu.

I updated emuNAND to 9.5, now my fbi and instead cia files are missing. I can't reinstall fbi, it's stuck on loading files. Is there a fix for this and if not how can I start over and reset it up?

i completed this guide: http://pastebin.com/ndvW5Aji , i managed to download my already bought 3ds games and they work well (even a copy of KI uprising i got from that Club Nintendo exploit), i also DLed from the Eshop the 1.1.3 smash update (im not interested in pirating the DLC because i have a legit copy of the game).

but trying to run it from emunand gets me an error that says theres no update data in there and will not let me save my game, even worse if i press the home button, it crashes my 3ds.

i dont see the point to use sysnand to run it because it shouldnt be necessary, and i dont want to download the CIA, because i have a legit cart and, as such, it should be working, and i dont want to waste 2gbs on my SDcard.

im using CakesFW as the guide indicates, i want to know why this error occurs, if it is because of Cakes, and if so, how can i change the CFW without much hassle?...

I have a couple of questions

1- I tried the CRTboot method, yet i still get "Couldn't load arm9 payload" every time i try to boot rxTools from the menuhax, what the hell do i do?

2- Where are the backup for savefiles located? I want to restore the savefiles from the EO: Untold demos, but i don't know where to search for in the folder from before the formatting.
Closest thing i found were two folders containing savs, but one of them is literally named the same as the backup for PW:AA Dual Destinies that i just made some minutes ago.

Attempted to unlink my NANDs using TinyFormat: Homebrew Launcher > launched Pasta > Homebrew Launcher > launched FBI > installed TinyFormat.cia > launched Pasta again > launched TinyFormat.

Same thing happened to me. For being a retard guide, it kinda forgot a important step since it just goes "lol check if your NAND is unliked by pressing L" without informing you that you need to reinstall menuhax.

On the home screen, go to the "change theme" menu to create the files needed for menuhax. Then install menuhax again with the browserhax and put the files for RXtools back in place.

It feels like it handholds you with all those items you can get so easily that would've made previous games a cakewalk, then you enter a dungeon with 20 Reviver Seed thinking you are fucking invincible and you get murdered two floors in. It gives you plenty of chances for gitting gud and prepare yourself and they made a lot of moves function in ways that make it surprisingly one of the deepest and most elaborated Mystery Dungeon games even outside the Pokémon spin offs.

This issue came up after downgrading from 10.0.3 to 9.2.

So ive unlinked my NANDs already, but now FBI is giving me DESCRIPTION_INVALID_COMMAND when i try to install cias to the emuNAND, the guide says i cant use the .3dsx version to install cias on the emu so how do i go about getting bigblue menu and fbi and all that stuff on here?

I found the "solution" for this on GBATemp, but the solution says:

However, I couldn't find those folders on my SD card. Am I supposed to just create them inside?
