Yay leveling up at bonfires. I don't know why they thought making you speak to the same NP who repeats the same lines of dialogue before leveling up would make players feel anything but dislike for the NPC and just want to mash through her dialogue
First for please return the primordial serpents or at least Straid's voice actor.
>benhart's parma is back in DaS3
what else will they bring back? do you think the description will mention benhart, or the original owner of the shield?
So I got Rank 3 in the Company of Champions with my Hercules character. Which covenant do I join now? I was thinking of Sun Bros but I don't play online at all (No Xbox Live) and I don't care about Miracles anymore, I tried and they were weak as fuck so I dumped the points into HP and Stamina instead.
Maiden in Black and the Doll don't have that problem but these suffer from huge loading times. DaS1 was the way forward in that regard.
If anything they should just use these as a hub for upgrading healing items.
I think DaS3 will give more lore hints than anything DaS2 ever did.
Even the original DaS2 items were LOST AND FORGOTTEN most of the time. I mean, look at Benhart's fucking armour.
Leveling at bonfires confirmed and warping from the get go. So I expect it to be similar to Bloodborne (hub area for teleports and you can teleport back here from any bonfire) or DaS2 (any bonfire to any bonfire) sans waifu to level up at.
>Attunement means spellcasters will always need more levels than melee characters
Not true. You can spend less in VIT and ADP, work with light armor and roll to range since you're casting spells.
>Hex users are even worse off since they need to use both spell stats, meaning they need even more levels than the average spellcaster unless they're going no melee
Again, not true. Magic and lightning reach 155 atk bonus at 50 int or 50 fth. Dark reaches 157 atk bonus at 29/29. Dark will need 8 more levels but they gain access to hexes AND miracles AND sorcery that fit the requirements. It's pretty balanced.
I know ripping on DS2 is hip and cool but the magic mechanics are quite well thought out.
That was like one example but if anything it could just be a trait of him being a clumsy fool. The other characters turned after losing all hope i.e. idiot Laurentius (?) getting lost trying finding your sick pyromancy, Crestfallen Warrior getting sick of it and going downstairs and something drove him mad there. Nothing regarding any other characters is similar to Siegmeyer or DaS2 characters.
That said cut content of Crestfallen Merchant pointed in that direction too.
But I think the main problem is that everyone forgets the lore and history on almost every item too. Straid is a cheeky cunt who just doesn't give you info but people rarely give you information and end of their questline is mostly them forgeting everything and it's all so samey and pathetic.
What does this even mean. Occasionally having to go off to a merchant to buy an item and hearing them say something slightly different like "oh haven't seen you in a while" or them giving me a different greeting if we've become close is a lot better than having to sit through BEARER OF THE CURSE before I can level up.
I don't know why they didn't do it like DeS and just have her recite it in the menu background.
exactly what I meant by being done poorly, the game lacked the vision that made the first one shine. It's like the just connected the dots between set plot points given to them by someone else. It might sound as I'm holding miyazaki in too much high regard, but he surely makes the difference.
Can I only get Ring of Blades +2 in DaS2 in NG+?
The wiki says only Bonfire Intensity +2 is needed
But this guy says you need to be NG+
Its not grasping. Evidence for it being Lordran is all over the game. A giants skull THE SAME as those in TotG in Grave of Saints, numerous items in the same location including Havels shit, Old Dragonslayer near the blue covenant which is nearly exactly the same as the one in Anor Londo (implying the Tower of Flame area is what remains of Anor Londo), the four great souls existing in this area, and the fact tons of NPCs talk about the cycle of kingdoms rising, having a glory day, being destroyed, a new one being built.. and the old one forgotten. They even mention the endless cycle of kindling the flame and holding back the undead curse.
They didn't add all the references to DS1 to pander to fanboys or out of laziness, they did it as evidence.
>two ice rapiers.
If you don't need to parry, you can swap the left hand for a straight sword. Your powerstance moveset will be the wide straight sword swipes with the range of a Ice-rapier.
Be a man and powerstance ultra weapons.
Your goal is fume ugs and smelter gh.
I already killed her if you mean the final boss. I'm in the DLC areas and figured I'd want a bit more damage.
I rewatched it and saw that he put a (Use Bonfire Ascetic if on your first playthrough) in there.
>The Darksign signifies an accursed Undead.
Those branded with it are reborn after death,
but will one day lose their mind and go Hollow.
Memory loss in line with dementia has been the fate of hollows since DaS.
I've mostly done STR focused weapons so far so I'm trying to force myself to use dex. When the game was first released I even had the cheesy great axe powerstance with a ultra greatsword.
When you go hollow you basically empty, leaving just a husk that moves on instinct.. essentially you lose your humanity and go "hollow"
The Dark Soul piece, granted by the furtive pygmy ages ago, which makes humans more than their basic, primordial hollow selves leaves you.
It never gets harder, it only gets easier.
The only difficulty comes from terrible maps and vision problems, in other words Blighttown and Lost Izalith. Tomb of the Giant too, if you are a retarded piece of shit like myself.
How the fuck was I supposed to know that the lantern only shines if you hold it in the left hand? I equipped it on the right and thought it was a useless item so I dropped it the box and never used it again.
Also enjoy the shockwaves.
>the cheesy great axe powerstance with a ultra greatsword
I don't miss that. Though the recently discovered alternative is pretty balanced.
>doing the third DLC
>find the four knights
>seal the portals,cool
>surely it's a one-time thing
>get killed right after since I don't know the attack patterns or anything about the ivory king
>gotta do the portals thing every time you die
This is so bullshit.
Hollowing is a process that occurs as the undead in question is still sane and which ends with them being insane. You see it in both DaS games, both in NPCs and the visual effects on your character.
This shit was easier when it was just soulstarved.
bonfire intensity 1 is ng
bonfire intensity 2 is ng+
typically, the first link is correct, since you can have bonfire intensity 2 you can still be in ng, but you need to kill nashandra and then ascetic the kings 's gate
If you press Triangle/Y and attack at the same time while powerstancing you bypass the startup.
If you press Triangle>Triangle and attack at the same time you swap stance midcombo. It's insane.
I know, but I don't have access to a controller. I got good.
Also here's a protip for anyone who needs to use it, too. Rebind your keys. Jumping attacks and shield break don't work with mouse, so rebind it to keyboard. Also learn click discipline so you don't accidentally double click and do a strong attack. Making double click do nothing literally makes you character stand and do nothing if you click too fast.
Some hacking faggot invaded me, teleported to a boss I hadn't beaten yet, and killed him before teleporting us back, which means I didn't get the boss soul. I don't think I got any regular souls either. How the fuck do I report people in DaS2?
2 years in and you retards still can't find the second option in the setting menu.
Just fucking turn double clicking off goddamn.
This is probably due to the pastebin not being updated for this or something
Your double-clicking is still on. Despite what the menu says, the "disable double-clicking" option defaults back to off whenever you boot up the game. You need to reset the option every time you open up the game.
Considering the way these games work 90% of the reports would be people getting killed by things that they don't know about and then claiming its cheating
Sanctum crossbow special attack comes to mind for this
They really aren't. DS1 has no system whatsoever, and a good chunk of the b& people in DS2 only caught the hammer because they used the FPS fix or graphic mods.
I honestly can't decide if their shit system is really any better than no system at all.
Boo hoo 5 second every time you restart the game whatever shall you do
>wow what is this shit delay
>oh there is a setting to turn it off
>reboot the game
>huh the delay is back
>whatever I'll just turn it off again
>oh wow its gone
Is the logical approach but dark souls so hardcore eks dee bad port japanese devs etc and instead you turn it off once then give up on ever trying again.
Usually you keep pumping it till the end of time, but if you already have a favorite weapon you might want to get enough END so that you hit a breakpoint for getting an extra attack/roll off after a 3/4 hit combo
Don't use a weapon with low durability then faggot
As I said durability is actually a stat you have to think about, it's a tradeoff same as weight or moveset or anything else.
Go back to DS1 if you want some casual shit where nothing you do matters because there are no consequences for anything
>I would not venture far into that hole.
>It was blocked by a wall, something built long ago.
>But it was crumbling, and I finished the job. Now a foul sound echoes within…
What did he mean by that?
>mfw all the cut dialogue
>Because you rescued me…
>Just for you, I’ll bless you with this spell. But you can’t tell anyone!
>Sit so you’re looking at my eyes.
>Now, close your eyes…
>Don’t open them, k?
>Ok, here goes…
>Oh, ye lost souls that gather ‘round the heart of man…
>Souls of origin that ride the tides of the body…
>Lend strength to my savior, from the very blood that flows through me which carries the power of ancients and undead.
>Accept this power unto thee.
Doin some low level dex duels/invades for like 15 minutes.
>lost humanity or souls when dying
Lol you can farm those backs
>want a rare item
Lol just farm the enemies until you get it no need to give up a gear/ring slots for better drop chances and finite spawns
>weapons have durability
Lol who cares just sit down and fix them for 20 souls at every bonfire
Lol who cares just circlestrafe everything until it dies
No you don't lose anything for that, nobody can invade you nothing can hurt your pretty face no downsides
DS1 was a far far far far more forgiving game than DS2
I bet you never even played DeS
20% health loss too much to deal with shitter? Better go back to DS1, you can suck as many cocks as you want and none of it matters.
Hit a dead end? Don't worry you can just grind out of anything with no downsides
Friendly reminder to not succumb to sun's temptations and to stay away from it's winged executioner.
>can't stop watching dark souls 3 network test footage
i fucking hate the waiting
it's got to be the worst part
>cant take screenshots of a game for some reason
>still want to share a qt
>all you have to do is twohand your weapon since poise damage is broken in das2
Even with minotaur helmet, full havels and the ring of the giants you wont be able to poisetank a single two-handed attack from the longsword.
>ironic shit PvP
I'm wearing forlorn hood, agadyne chest, sanctum gloves, forlorn boots and only poisoned myself once because i was using the 2H R2 over and over like an idiot. Only have poisonbite +1 might try with RoR+1 when I get to it
Most sets in DaS 2 look pretty bad to be honest. The Alva, black dragon,Loyce and Benhart sets are okay but that's about it.
Meanwhile in DaS you have Ornstein's,black and silver knight,Ciaran's,brass, paladin,Artorias',set of thorns and Lautrec's that all look pretty damn good.
Try Yorghs spear.
It's almost as good at inflicting poison and plays similarly.
I don't agree with that at all, you missed Drakeblood, Velstad's, Watcher's, Defender's, Insolent, Imperious, Syan's, Heide's, and Falconer sets. Meanwhile mentioning Lautrec's armor and not mentioning DaS1 armors don't have capes because no cloth physics.
Where the fuck is the havel's ring equivalent in this game? I want to wield a greatsword without having to sacrifice my knighty looks.
Forgive my lowres.
If you're hollow and touch the shrine thing just before Undead Crypt you turn human. You can't have ANY effigies in your inventory, box, or on the ground though.
It's like a last ditch thing.. also you gotta fight a pyromancer to get there.
I play it like this during my first playthrough
>Lay down summon sign
>Run through area/boss again
I either get seasoned enough to tackle the boss/area(while hollowed) or I get summoned, get my humanity back and use that to summon others.
Barely used any effigies.
>trying some duels on cathedral of blue to see how the pvp is like
>suddenly someone does the bruce lee flying kick
So how do you fix magic in Dark Souls?
DS2's DLC approach of giving the bosses high resistance to spells (but not to melee elemental) punished pure casters too much, especially if they don't know about it and don't put in points into melee stats.
Unified MP in DS3 will be interesting but I think it's probably just going to force people into spamming low powered spells
P2W DLC weapons
I don't know mang, I just want stuff that looks cool. The sunlight spear would have been cool if it wasn't just a variation of a different magic beam. Some bosses have cool magic spells, why can't I have that?
Something like that. Hits harder at close range as opposed to using it to snipe far away enemies.
Fire Emblem has great Light magic too.
Nah, man, you're just spoiled as fuck.
There are few games that actually allow you to throw lightnings like spears zeus-style (like, go ahead and name 3), and DaS3 has pretty decent special effects for spells. There is no reason to be upset.
>Some bosses have cool magic spells, why can't I have that?
List a few examples that wouldn't be outright OP in PvP.
You didn't understand it. I just want things that look cool, I don't care for how OP they are. I don't give a single shit about PvP.
And I said that the Lightning Spears are cool but they are just reskins of Soul Spears (or vice versa).
Don't you agree that it would be better if there were more different spells for Miracles/Sorcery/Hexes instead of Beams of every colour + some gimmicks?
Also, who's your favorite boss of all time?
So why do I need Dsfix for DS1 exactly? Didnt play this in ages and last time was without it. Any reason its a must?
How do I get rid of these boxes on the HUD? Using DSFix with the resizer.
I want to finish my pvp build but can't be bothered to grind the souls or titanite anymore.
I'm wondering if someone with some spare demon titanite and souls could drop some for me. Maybe someone who can use cheat engine, drop me 8 demon titanite and a bunch of souls?
Any help appreciated. I decided to do some Iron Golem cosplay but shit's expensive to upgrade
SL73, PC, can meet wherever
>that majestic feel when you finally beat O&S on your low level build and can twink the shit out of the parish with +5 lightning weapons, havel gear and family masks
>Buy DaS2 after waiting for it to be cheap
>Hour in and I get invaded by a cunt with fancy armour who shits out damage
Its good to be back. Was that soul memory shit just a meme?
I used to twink a bit. It gets boring VERY quickly. Your opponents basically can't ever kill you because of their shit, unupgraded weapons, and you pretty much 1-2 shot them. There's zero challenge, it got very dull for me super quick.
You wake up tomorrow morning in fire link shrine.
You are the same physically as you are now
You do not carry the darksign, you are not undead
You can not rest at bonfires and level up
You can not use estus, if you are injured it is like a real life injury
If you get soup stones you can cooperate but phantom deaths are still permanent.
You can invade and be invaded
You can only leave Lordran if you defeat Gwyn
How far do you get?
>parry button (LT) broke on my controller
>used to be able to reflex parry daggers with 2h UGS
Oh yes you do when you're level 1. Admittedly I only needed a +1 ascended flame and +3 lightning weapons, but christ on a cracker that fight is hard with no end or vit.
i've noticed a fairly good ratio of shitters to actual twinks. Unfortunately for the host their summons are usually potatos with good weapons, but I still get my ass kicked in a 3 person gank squad if I'm not careful. I'm only level 6, no crazy build shenanigans.
bug with altering the hud i think???
same. tried it and didn't see the point
you either steamroll newbies even if they have summons or occasionally bump into someone making their 1000th build who wrecks you regardless
Since video game logic doesn't apply to me, I run through everything without even trying to fight. I get the free souls you can pick up and from random enemies dropping to their death while chasing me for level ups. I proceed to ring both bells and then despair in Anor Londo as I am scared of heights.
>implying you got invaded by anyone other than blue cops in any run of DaS2 unless you stayed to co-op or afk'd for ages.
Srsly most people do not get invaded. I got arbitered in Lair of the Imperfects last time I played for God's sake.
Nah. If you PvE and die a lot, you'll end up killing more enemies then better players, thus getting more souls and eventually you'll get matched with stronger invaders simply because you died a lot. I guess it's a plus that you also get stronger co-op buddies, but it's still a terrible system.
Fug me. Being hollow does bugger all now as well doesn't it?
I've played through DaS several times now, but I never figured out what the town is that you see on the descent into Catacombs from the graveyard. It's next to the poison swamp, and looks sorta like Undead Burg. What's that area supposed to be?
You should tweet that to a Namco Bandai Twitter community rep tbqh
Likely won't get in nor would they bother to connect to someone who works with the MP mechanics but I would enjoy this.
I need to get the 100% for DaS on PC, is there a guide for recommended achievement progression?
iirc you need at least 2-3 playthroughs to get everything right?
It's a place you can't get to. It's using the Undead Burg's assets so I guess it's there to tell the player there are several places like the Undead Burg in Lordran.
>kill dragin rider
>buy all felkin's shit
>if you have 20int/ faith he gives you his ballin armor set AND the highest damage hexing staff
remember to aesthetic skelly lords for the +3 ring
vangarian sword is good because it needs very low reqs to 2hand, enchant with dark and buff
stick to invading as a red, way faster
Get 8 int/fth and you'll be able to buy hexes from Felkin, guy sitting along the way to Huntsman's Copse.
Get 20 int/fth and he'll gift you his armor (hood gives 10% more spell casts ROUNDED UP) and more importantly, the Sunset Staff. It is the best staff for hexes when upgraded.
Am I fucking up anything?
Warrior with lvl 5 bastard sword, knight shield and elite knight armor
I beat the butterfly in the garden
>Head back to asylum for rusted iron ring
>Try to make the jump to the stairs leading up to Crows nest
>Slip and break my neck.
Not very far.
Just found out warlock mask is 100% with SotFS....
mfw I used 4 ascetics at the black phantom location in huntsman's copse with full item discovery gear and rusted coin for nothing
fun combos include dark fog and great resonant soul/climax
dark orb is great
you'll want to get sunset staff from aldias keep, you need to get a dark cynthia's charm from drangleic castle asap
>sunset staff from aldias keep
im in sotfs, can't i get it from Felkin?
ive determined that if i kill the dragonrider and then ascetic and kill him again, with cheesing, i can level up int and fth to 20 right off the bat
Where did normal people live before it all went to shit in DS2? In the first game they lived in places like the numerous towns with cottages you see. In DS2 there's a soldier fort where soldiers lives, a castle where the king and nobility lived, a bunch of older castles and keeps with nobility, but where are all the houses for common folk? You never see any location, even in the background, where they could've been.
>Have 10 Humanity
>Gold Covetous Serpent Ring
>Saved the UGS BK just to get that sword
>It just drops a Chunk
>Going to have to wait until the end game to get the Black Knight Greatsword
How do I cope with this feel?
Oh btw, you'd want to go to grab the Fire Longsword from FotFG asap. The fire scales with your INT+FTH and you can use it as a melee weapon for much of the game until you can infuse something with dark.
Movement feels horrible in Souls, there's no weight behind the characters and you can accidentally slip off ledges its so twitchy.
Supposedly running DaS1 at 60 makes this worse.
she wanted to do the right thing, even in trying the demon's power shows through. Her attempts to save the lost are rendered useless because the demon's soul corrupts the land and the souls of those around her. She herself seems to be relatively unaffected, but her lust for the soul is apparent.
also they're not sacrificing them, the babies probably represent dead fetus' that are suffering, or offspring of her demonic taint and garl if you wana be lewd
Is Sinh supposed to be so easy? I ran in with my Great Club +10 on my third try and steamrolled it.
The first two I was careful and scouting it's moves first with shield + Bandit Axe +10.
I didn't realize the extent until I went back to it after months of 2 and was jumping or running off ledges every 5 minutes
It definitely takes time to get to grips with the motion differences when you switch games
What sl are YOU.
I'll make a new one.
What items do you want?
I might ask you to give me in order to give you, because there's an unlimited item cap of 3, so if I have 3 of any item, I can give an infinite amount of them.
There's Tseldora and Majula. I'd think No-man's Wharf is a proper settlement too, a shady one.
Anyway, from Cale's map, it seems like Drangleic is much larger than what we experience in-game.
I used to have a CE myself but I'm not sure which to dl from the site now, I was using Fling's edm but it doesn't work anymore.
How long have you used whatever you're using? any issues with bans? I only want CE for items, fast pvp builds.
I think all my characters are 125, let me check
>Tfw killed Dusk and the male merchant on zwei accident
Blaze through the rest of the game and end Gwyn.
He's annoying because your equipment degrades at a stupidly fast rate if you melee him, which can be shitty for Dex characters
Also I think he's a bit of a summon trap like all dragon fights are
Technojacker. The latest version.
No bans at all and extremely easy to use.
PVP watchdog does not go away if you dont enable the cheating scripts, so it's great for quick legal builds.
The only bad thing is that I can't figure out how to make curse/egg weapons.
Where are you?
Enjoy farming channeler's trident
I got it in 15 minutes lololololool
I actually did, and recently I started an aggression mod permagravelorded run and got it from the channeler in parish
I'm in darkroot forest, low nodes rn
>be white phantom in depths
>host gets invaded
>oneshot and cursed by black phantom
>DC and immediately download a CE
The original reason I got a CE was to avoid curse weapons lol
>always wanted the visable Aurous set
>playing on last gen so its a grind
>need bonfire ascetics so I have to get to the dark covenant
>start killing the ship phantom and then the boss over and over
>need agape ring on the whole time otherwise soul memory will get fucked
>15 times and only leggings, need to grind in the abyss for more ascetics
>back to ship for more grinding
>30 times over and I have 4 complete shadow sets, 7 leggings of Aurous, 2 gloves, 1 helmet and no chest piece
This game..... is just terrible at times. I seriously question why they did some of these things. They gave you two ways to get the invisible set but one awful way to get the visible set.
I just started a sorcerer character
and in the top left, where like, ring effect symbols would be, there's two symbols ive never seen before
it's a person with a red box around it, and then a shield with a red box around it
what is that?
Not getting nodes now
I'll go there running and keep you posted
what sl? What name? mine is /dsg/
I'll place a white summon sign outside of the bonfire on darkroot, before the gate
Keep waiting, I'm not getting any nodes.
Once I get a handful I'll reply to that comment again or make one in the next thread.
If I go online PVP kicks me out and I'm blind online-wise
feels bad man, same here. Going to man up and buy SotFS today though, really don't wana pay full price for it but I want that fucking warlock helm
plus I feel like a shitter for not experiencing the content for my most beloved franchise
Same guy here. Any kind anons have some demon titanite to donate? I don't care if it's cheated, I just need 8 to finish upgrading my Golem Axe.
SL 83, PC
Well, I'd prefer the titanite since then I can just upgrade any other weapons as well if I want, somewhere down the line.
I don't really need much, anon.
I can summon in Oolacile Township, not sure about other areas. It's an old save and I just don't really remember which bosses I killed.
I honestly don't care, I have no moral issues about using cheat engine to give myself souls/items for pvp to save myself the grinding time. It's just the fact that I'm not very proficient with CE, other anons can do it better and faster
You can get a max of +4 estus throughout the entire playthrough without having to kill any firekeepers, and that's all you need. Kill them all before NG+ though to get +6 or +7.
>that's a good level
>and better than drake bridge
woah, it's better then a stack of horseshit
at least you can just rush drakebridge in 5 seconds, but you are stock on that shitsink of a level for a while doing literally nothing but walking forward
Dark phantoms, red or blue, can be easily spotted an you're wasting a precious ring slot
Favor / Cloranthy / Hornet / Havel / Bellowing / Firstborn / Dark Wood are where the meta is
>nobody cares about time in a speed run
Allright I have nodes already.
Just tell me sl
>own DaS for every platform
>74 hours on PC
>multiple full build SL 125s
>mfw haven't fought 4kings on any character
WHY DID I THINK THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA
so i beat dragonrider by running pasteveryone and then cheesing
and then i remembered i never beat the one knight that drops the sublime bone dust
so i go and try to beat him
but i get gangbanged over and over by two knights and the heide knight that wakes up cuz i won the boss fight
so i just moved on to the next part of my strat for this run which is ascetic the bonfire and cheese dragonrider again
well now, since i gave up one sublime i dont want to give up another
but im at half health because of constant deaths to DR and i cant fucking beat him cuz im low level and it's NG+
so now ive just decided to give up on the whole thing
and now i cant even run to the fucking boss because NG+ adds a million fucking knights
so ive successfully fucked myself out of TWO sublime bonedusts because im a shitter who cant beat a goddamn knight
fuck i hate myself
is the lifehunt scythe good?
what was the revelation at anor londo? I doubt it was the gargoyle. I believe you didn't receive a revelation, and that you aren't the true chosen one.
>what was the revelation at anor londo
meeting the goddess and receiving the lord vessel
there is no "true" chosen one
the chosen one is chosen by virtue of the fact thtat they made it that far
They HAVE nerfed it. It used to make up 50% of the meta and shoot like a machine gun when powerstanced. If you haven't played in the early days of DS2 then you missed some really broken shit.
he doesn't drop bonedusts in Sotfs
you NEED the bloodshield for pve though or you'll bleed yourself
and even then sometimes the meter builds up on you too much
>Also, who's your favorite boss of all time?
Raime if you exclude BB.
Because it can only fire 1,2k damage projectiles 5 fucking times before completely falling apart unless you're using the brass knuckle ring.
And it's base damage is worse that Crossbow Shield.
The community only split into two generals because of people who couldn't afford/didn't want to buy a PS4 for one game, and for the sake of discussing BB without causing a consolewar shitstorm every single time it got brought up, which is the only thing that ever happened until the generals got split up
Bloodborne is just as much a souls game as Demon's Souls is
Take your shit to reddit
>Trying to watch DS3 content
God damn. How can anyone stand this guy? I swear, EVERY time this guy gets hit by an enemy he'll go "hey that's not very nice" "I said I was just coming through!" "I get the feeling you don't like me very much!".
It makes my skin crawl every fucking time.
You have rused me. Here is your well earned reply and crossover meme picture.
At what part of your playthrough did you start tackling the DS2 DLC?
There are like 3 ways this can end
1) everyone has extreme tracking so its release DS2.20
2) Everything is trivial to circlestrafe so its DS1.01
3) Everyone has 180 spin moves
I don't like any of these options.
It doesn't look like DS2's floaty bullshit. If you're mad about leg animations, go check falconer animations in DS2, they didn't even fix them in SotFS, so glad I didn't pay for that shit
It looks even floatier, are you not seeing the way that guy is skipping and hopping all over the place like Enchantress on LSD?
There is no weight to everything because everyone jumps around
NO DUDE THEY'RE GOING BACK TO THEIR ROOTS
IM SO GLAD THEY DIDNT TAKE ANY OF THE TECHNOLOGICAL/ENGINE ADVANCEMENTS THEY MADE IN BLOODBORNE
First run of DaS2 and I'm liking the Crescent Axe, but I've yet to upgrade anything and after exploring the area in the Shrine of Winter, I'm beginning to feel the need to. Is the Crescent Axe good (aka, is there no flat out upgrade of it), and is it worth infusing it to Magic if I don't intend on putting points in INT?
You're wrong. There was weight in DS1 and it felt good. It played like a good game. In DS2, every animation was slowed down like 1.5 times and so the whole game played like shit and everyone floated everywhere. DS3 looks like DS1 with the animations we've seen so far and that's a good thing. Mocap looked so bad and I hated the rolling in any direction shit, or how the rolling animations had me on the ground the whole time instead of the leap for their life that the characters in DS1 (and now DS3) do.
oh god yes backstab rotating for permanent invincibility is back
this was a good decision
remember when soulbrandt said backstabbing would be much harder to quicker le epic circle right gameplay wouldn't work anymore?
I'm the guy who made the image, I don't understand many of your complaints though, maybe you could explain further.
You can pick any color besides orange, you can be special if you want senpai, people just wanted to rate bosses and areas differently so I figured i'd explain it a little easier. Apparently I still didn't explain it well enough, because people are picking both option A and option C, which makes for a messy image that's harder to read than I intended. I think I'm just going to remove option A altogether.
The reason that there isn't a place to describe the specifics of an area should be a very obvious one, the image is already enormous in size (i had to shrink it by 40% already) and increasing the size further increases the width of the image which either (a) causes it to move offscreen to the right or (b) shrinks the image so it fits to your monitor. Its hard enough to read the text and see the area pictures as is when you open it in 4chan and increasing the width or height further exacerbates the problem.
The idea behind the size is that it should approximately able to fit on a 1920x1080 monitor while retaining its readability. This is, unfortunately, the reason I didn't add Bloodborne, because adding a 5th column makes it more difficult to read at-a-glance. I'm still open to adding it but retaining the readability of the image is important.
Anon I think you are confusing "speed" with "weight"
Everything in DS1 and what we have seen from DS3 is floaty, there is no weight to anything because everyone is running around like a jogger.
Because the scaling is shit anyway and I figured there's a chance the small loss in physical is worth the comparatively large increase in magic
I don't even understand the question, It wasn't until Drangleic Castle I started feeling my damage wasn't sufficient, everything before that was going down in about 25 hits at worst
>Black Knight Archers in Anor Londo
Got past them first time on my first playthrough and I've been fucking stuck on them for at least an hour now.
Doesn't help that I had to kill the firekeeper too so I have to keep going the longer route with the moving platform.
There is no inventory either, but none of the previous games had different walking animations based on equip load so I doubt this will
If it does I will eat my words because thats a good change.
I know b-team and all that but the DLC bosses in DS2 have been really boring so far.
Caster + previous boss summoner
Dragon fight with no interesting quirks.
3 standard NPCs in a room
Smelter Demon clone.
Then there's the monster spam run ups to some of the bosses (guessing there's one in the third DLC too).
Do things get better?
just beat gaping dragon. This game's pretty fun.
Quick question though, why do people complain about curses? Yeah, they suck but there's a vendor not far away from the Depths who sells purging stones, and at this point 6000 souls should be pretty trivial.
a) because they're bad
b) because the vendor could absolutely be closer, think about backtracking as a shitty player
c) because it doesn't feel good to lose 6000 souls because you feel like you didn't know about something
ive never been cursed myself
Chances are, if you've been cursed there, you're not getting your souls back.
6000 souls at that point requires a fair bit of farming and the backtracking to the vendor is tedious to the extreme.
Then there's the fact that if you're new to the game and its playstyle, getting back to the vendor with 1/2-1/4 health isn't trivial.
>75% of the invasions I get are Arbiter
Normally I wouldn't really mind since it's more action but I'm not joking when I say that the large majority of them played like complete garbage, even the ones with auras. What's up with that?
>Apparently I still didn't explain it well enough, because people are picking both option A and option C, which makes for a messy image that's harder to read than I intended. I think I'm just going to remove option A altogether.
Option A+Option C is by far the most readable and least awful for the template, which is why people are doing it.

You have a whole section dedicated to a game that is literally not out yet. Worry about having 5 sections when there are 5 games.
>The idea behind the size is that it should approximately able to fit on a 1920x1080 monitor while retaining its readability
You're already 600 pixels over that.
i know but i had rushed through ariamis. didn't remember at the time that old monk wraps gave it. so i went there just now to find priscilla dead and the body missing. im going through the game at level 1 and have been stuck on gwyn for a while
Can't give you a fap ring with the glitch I use, but I can give you what you need to trade for one with snuggly the crow.
I just need you to give me a weapon or shield. Buy the cheapest one.
