Protip: Auto server puts you in the empty server which is usually populated by the most brainless reds who also click auto. Always join the opposite server auto puts you in. You will have slightly better teams.
Alternatively, you can be the biggest gangsta and use this to your advantage. Having poor players on both teams will make it easier for you to deal higher amounts of damage. Similar efficiencies include enabling encounter and assault and playing alone to get less platoon encounters.
Because that isn't always the way it plays out. Something your team gets shitstomped so fast you just get mobbed and raped before you can really do much damage. Or the enemy gets shitstomped so fast people are tripping over themselves for the scraps of damage.
I find I get better results in close matches.

Nothing would change meta-wise, people already picks their tanks without much regard for whether arty will be in the match or not. Really slow tanks are not good choices for influencing matches regardless of arty being present or not.
Actually, let me revise that; tank selection would not change. However areas on maps that people currently never/rarely use because they are not 'arty safe' would become more usable again.
i actually started to play medium tanks because of arty, especially at high tiers
in arty heavy games with an HT it got to the point everyone reaches the brawling spot but wont push past cover because you would instantly get slammed by 3 CGCs
superheavies have the speed limitation weakness but when you add arty into the mix they become useless on some maps (prodhorovka style maps) since they have no hard cover along with massive size and slow movement speed, the moment someone lights them up they will get focused by it since its an easy target

the meta in terms of tank choice wouldn't change much, apart from the arty faggots going for the next easiest class, TDs.
what WOULD happen however would be that open maps would have a less strict deployment pattern, since a lot of hulldown spots that would normally be suicide, because you'll be spotted and nuked from orbit, become viable.
the biggest change however, is that spotting mechanics actually become more important. right now you are balancing the times you are spotted and the time you are spotted in a way as to not be countered easily and to not get nuked from orbit.
without arty it'll actually become viable to be permaspotted while using cover/hulldown and not get artied to shit after a while. this makes the vision game more interesting, as you can have people spotted permanently making a huge distraction, while others to move around unspotted and catch people off guard, without the distracting party being guaranteed a loss of health by some guy with cheeto dust smeared over his knob.

I can't stand playing an arty other than the Bishop, FV304 and
LeH. Those 3 have the RoF and accuracy to feel like they can consistently influence matches without needing to win the lottery, with the FV304 even being able to genuinely carry sometimes when it goes into 'ELC with a derp gun mode' mode late game. Once the reload goes about 15 second the class can fuck off as far as I'm concerned.
this is true, prodhorovka is enjoyable without arty but what tends to happen in those games is that a bunch of faggots hide in the west lane bushes all game and are almost impossible to counter without skycancer harassing them
this is mainly a problem with the north west of the map that has a stupid amount of bushes and ridges to the east so you cant approach and flank them
this ends up in a spotting standoff where they have the advantages due to bushes, and you cant cap without taking fire from them
Also, many more aggressive positions on maps would become viable.
Spots that let you pummel the heavy brawls and shit, since most of them give cover from normal tanks but not arty.
And flanking enemies becomes a more viable option without having to sweep the enemy base 1st. At least half the times I've tried to destroy the bum on a flank I've been rebalanced by arty.
The other half are split between counter meds, camping TDs, the flank just failing, and success.

this, the only limitation to flanking would be counterflanks/basecamping cunts and yolo rushes to one side. either way the team that maneuvers most in a game without arty, is usually the one that gets the upper hand

HEAT goes through heavies almost as easily as mediums while heavies are slower and clumsier thus easier to hit. this isn't even arguable outside of a couple exceptions like the e5.

Least it gets somewhat easier. That mission for the T-55/260 requires the arties (1 for the T-55, 2 for the 260) to NOT be spotted when you counter them. Also, if you are playing arty MM will always give you an enemy arty, where if you get a LT or MT...
Considering shitter arties always go to the same spots of the map, aim there, wait for the tracer, click and hope something on the other side dies. No meddling scout required.
It also requires you to be completely useless for 5 minutes. Heaven help you if you are looking in the wrong spot, too, or if you miss, the enemy arty catches on and starts shooting and scooting.
I only play arty for missions so I'm not that familiar with the spots.
I tried blind firing a few times in triple arty matches and failed.

Another thing you have to remember with the damage blocked missions is sometimes it's actually beneficial to leave shitters alive who can't hurt you. I let this Sherman shoot me about 40 times because he was autoaiming at my turret but then I completely fucked up because I didn't make the 2k damage requirement, probably the most disappointing game in my WoT career because I've been trying to do that mission for the past 6 months and that was the closest I came

T43 isn't that bad. The alpha is anemic but not bad overall because the dpm. It is sluggish initially and doesn't become super responsive with the top engine and tracks. It's by no means a bad tank but it isn't exceptional. T44 is pretty good overall except in penetration.

From what I can tell, vstab, optics and rammer are the current meta. It's what I usually run, unless the tank can't mount a vstab or rammer, in which I put in vents and maybe a toolbox.
Gun laying drive is mostly useless imo unless you're in skycancer and then it makes a difference.

VKB is mission material only, E75 is way more comfy if you want to do more than just bouncing shit
T30 is max comfy TD, plays like a HT, but people don't complain about a TD symbol hanging back on the map, so you can camp like a whore without getting called out
type 4 is shit, but hilariously so. gameplay wise every other tank on that list is better
don't have an ST-I, but it appears to be a pretty comfy bias tank.
my recommendation would be split between E75 and t30, because the e75 leads to the E-100, which you'll probably want to get eventually

VKB armor is angled and the weakspots other than the cupola are not intuitive. type armor however is practically flat. this wouldn't be as much problem in a boxy tank like the tiger, where angling fixes it, but angling in the type exposes your shoulder plate and your front roadwheels. this makes your armor 220 effective. it's also somehow slower, more inaccurate and has less dpm compared to VKB.
it's only saving grace is that it looks like a massive fucking chi-ri and only the maus can ram it and expect to make a trade.
Why is 30 days campaign a thing?

Should happen, but it seems WG isn't going to do anything about this and thinks the classes can be balanced without removing World of Corridors. No hope for this ever happening.

Problem isn't so much the tank, though there's obvious dogshit like the AMX 38 and M5 Stuart, but the MM. Tier 3 and 4 absolutely need +1 MM, with the tier 4 scouts getting +2. WG really, really seems to be against this even though tier 3 and 4 get +1 MM in Blitz.

This would be really nice, I'd play a lot more if they have a PvE option, but WG has been dragging their feet on it without any real progress for many months now.
I'd mainly like to see a arty rework and PvE mode. I'd play more often if this things happened. Low tiers getting +1 along with some rebalances of really shit tanks would be nice as well, but I'd settle for a PvE mode to play them in.

You're completely fucked against something like a KV (or even a KV-220) in a tier 4.
Even the strong tier 4 tanks like Matilda, Marder 38t (open map) or HEATzer (rip in peace) need you to play at unicum level, press 2, and the kv as a 44% tomato with 900ms ping to win.
That's just shitty game design.
