COMPLETELY ACCEPTABLE TIER:
Domnhall of Zena
Old Iron King
Big Hat Logan
GET THE FUCK OUT TIER:
Go up to 3 SM. Tons of activity
Why would they?
Well, who's the best Souls artist?
I have a feeling they worked on one area at a time and ran out of time while making >>128035876 so they just cut it. This way the unfinished stuff isn't littered all over the world.
>doesn't know how blood arena works
No seriously though you don't know shit and you claimed the game was dead, if its dead post a webm of you trying to invade in an orange area and failing 4 times in a row.
Am I supposed to know who the people I'm killing are? Every time I get a "great soul embraced" message I'm surprised because I have no idea who these people are and their fights aren't particularly hard. Just killed the rotten and before that lost sinner.
>the chariot's horse in the middle of nowhere in Drangleic Castle
>ruin sentinals for no reason
>desert sorceresses who somehow climbed all the way up in that freezing rain, evaded all the statues and ghouls, and are just hanging out in the storage room
I don't get it
At least in Lost Izalith you can go "oh they're demons so they're hanging out in their home"
For what fucking reason are those enemies there? Fuck this game
And remember - THIS is the only correct chart of DaS bosses.
Otherwise you're a dirty cumguzzling faggot who wants to confuse newfriends.
SotFS did have a lot of sensible new enemy placements- the Flexile Sentry in the Sinner's Rise pool, the big Lost Bastille mummy nigger on the No Man's Wharf ship, the Pursuers actually pursuing you across the world. It also had some really stupid fucking bullshit.
>caring about the lore implications of enemy placement in DaS2
DaS2 created a promising basis for lore but chose to just shovel in DaS1 fanservice instead of building on what it had. Don't worry about it.
Pinwheel isn't hard, but giving the player that many souls and then requiring them to get past a bunch of incredibly hard-hitting enemies while they try to find the next bonfire is just setting them up to lose those souls. And if you do die, if you want to get back, you have to go through a room with five or six wheel skeletons in it.
I'd say Sca. He's a miracle among Souls artists (not as godly as Menas tho but still very, very talented).
>worst area in the series
Seriously, does anybody still doubt it's NOT the ruins of Shitlondo's Great Public Toilet?
>literally the same enemy copy pasted 3 times
>not visually different so it's hard to keep track of one if you want to focus down one
>their retarded "spin in a circle with your hammer" like they're a fucking child playing swords and think spinning is an unbeatable tactic
Honestly that bossfight is so fucking stupid.
>think spinning is an unbeatable tactic
>implying spinning isn't a good trick
>worst area in the series
Yo I haven't played demon souls but black gulch is honestly making me want to quit I can't believe this shit. Why the fuck did they drop an NPC invader in with a bunch of fucking poison statues everywhere staggering you and draining your health?
Gets staggered by a rapiers R1 when not in an attack animation
Thats pretty much as low as you can get buddy
I stand by my previous statement, nigga you dumb
reminder that this is the future you chose
Protip you can parry the grab
After trying to figure how to kill these two faggots, the host disconnects the second I kill his stupid overleveled phantom.
At this point, I think I prefer disconnecting hosts at the last minute as opposed to indictments. I just know they're just boiling with hate.
I'd say for you not to get your hopes up too much. I've been playing it for a month now and while it does have good things about it, it handles a lot of things terribly. The worst are invasions and how 60% of the game is optional.
Hyperpoise is hyperpoise I'm not going to bother trying to explain it to someone who is pretending to be retarded or actually this dumb.
Maybe you'll get lucky and someone else will wast their time writing up the expanation for you
Why do all the good fights in DaS contained in large open areas or specific areas?
Let me first list for you, all the fights in Large, Medium, and Small sized arenas. Just read the names and ignore the letters for now.
>Spacious, larger Arenas
Four Kings (B)
Gaping Dragon (B)
Sanctuary Guardian (A)
Asylum Demon (B)
Bell Gargoyles (A)
Gravelord Nito (B)
Demon Firesage (C)
>Cramped, smaller Arenas
Stray Demon (B)
Capra Demon (C)
Ceaseless Discharge (C)
Centipede Demon (C)
Iron Golem (B)
Moonlight Buttfly (C)
Taurus Demon (B)
Just think to yourself how you would rate these fights. My opinion on them isn't the important thing here.
We may have some disagreements on the size of each arena or the quality of each boss, but I think we can agree that there is a correlation between arena size and quality of the fight. I put a letter next to each boss to signify if I personally think its an (A) good, (B) average, or (C) poor fight in terms of overall quality.
This is incredibly interesting to me and I'd like to hear other's opinions on it.
Sorry that I'm apparently retarded for not having the extreme foresight to know that there is a new mechanic in DS2 that wasn't present previously that isn't explained.
Why even bother typing out the reply then anon you silly goose.
No your a retard for asking me instead of using google
Now keep being dumb and wrong, doesn't matter you are not actually a new player either, just someone pretending to be retarded to try and prove some asinine point that literally nobody cares about
Perhaps so. I'd agree that big arenas tend to correlate to good boss fights, perhaps because the arenas are made to reflect the boss itself. A good Souls bossfight is one with varied attacks that you have to be clever about dodging. Dodging is easiest in a large area. A boss fight in a small area is necessarily designed not around dodging, but around feeling panicked and trapped. See: Capra Demon.
Impressive filename 'Menas', totally legit boys lads.
Yeah, its this exactly, great point.
When you can't actually make use of the game mechanics properly it feels terrible.
Manus was easily the hardest boss for me, only boss I had to summon someone during my first playthrough.
Every DLC fight is incredible imo. I still get a hard on during Kalameet and Artorias and I've come to really enjoy the SG.
I've always hated it, but I enjoy having player notes around and being able to do co-op when I want to, so I'm stuck with the constant chance of assholes coming in to stop my progress in the game.
Seriously, I don't know why so many people love it so much, but to each their own I guess.
lmao hahahaha how? It sends packets upside down?
>finally defeat woodland child gully
>thank fuck at least I won't have to go through that again
>drop down to an area where I see a message
>proceed slowly into spoopy cave
>two giants in there (I thought I already killed the last giant what the fuck man)
>get rekt by the asshole faces, had a bunch of souls on me
>okay no big deal, I can just take it super slow and get back down there, grab my souls and homeword bone out
>messing with my inventory to get the cat ring that makes you not take as much fall damage after I've spent a long time clearing out all the poison statues and handmonsters
>Invaded by Dark Spirit Gully!
>are you fucking serious
>panic and spin around, throw up my shield as he charges at me
>he smacks my shield five fucking times in row and pushes me off the cliff
>die and lose 50k souls
ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS AFTER DEFEATING AN NPC INVADER THEY KEEP INVADING YOU IN THAT SAME AREA
IS THIS THEIR FUCKING IDEA OF DIFFICULTY LE PREPARE TO DIE BULLSHIT
YES IM MAD AS FUCK
What kind of creature is that?
I may play the souls series, but I am not that autistic.
I really hope they have an Old Monk style boss fight in Dark Souls 3
Problem with Old Monk is that every invader you got was some faggot who would try to Wrath of the Gods you through the fog wall, and if you got the NPC invader then it was a shitty claws faggot who was never a threat
This is the best Dragonbro I could come up with on my own. It uses the Havel's Greatshield R2 to get poise instead of the wolf ring (you unequip it after buffing so you can ninja flip). Is there anything I should do to improve it?
(also it's supposed to have a canvas talisman equipped in the left hand)
Looking Glass Knight style would be better
IE an actual boss with a player summon as an addition, having a player replace the entire boss can be such a shitshow, having a boss with the addition of a player is much better
what is this giant doing here, doesn't seem to be any way to get there
It was nice in theory but the fact it was almost impossible to get summoned for the mirror knight completely ruined it. Even right now with how dead the online is for Demon's Souls I can easily get summoned for the Old Monk. When Dark Souls 2 was new I would wait hours and get maybe 2 invasions if I was lucky.
>tfw you keep calling him Mirror Knight and forgetting his name is actually Looking Glass Knight
On that subject, I've never had that much fun with such a disappointingly easy fight before.
That's why I said the idea was nice. The implementation was awful. The loading time was sometimes enough to get either you or the Mirror Knight killed before you were even in control of you character, not to mention that it's actually really hard to get summoned.
Yeah it was dumb, it was restriced to NG+ in vanilla, you couldn't really judge SM for it because the orange outlines for it were the same ones as the final boss and he sometimes wouldn't summon at all, sometimes you would be summoned when he had 10% health left and so on
But as an idea it was far better than having the boss be replaced entirely by a player because you can still maintain some level of control over how the fight will go
>enemy jumps into the air to attack me
>move out of the way
>they pull some TF2 airstrafing to change direction in the air and hit me
I can't even be mad it's too funny to me seeing it happen
>Hey so I know I'm the reason Oolacile went to shit
>And I'm also the reason New Londo went to shit
>but dude you should totally trust me. Would this face mislead you? Join my covenant dude
fuk u kaathe
He's more like the snake in the garden of eden than a genie.
>yfw christian parallels in muh jap games
Freya is easy as long as you keep to her side and get rid of the small spiders asap. For the others, as >>128050567 said, learn to dodge. Maybe put something in ADP if you haven't.
Oh FUCK no after the shrine of winter i have to face another fucking chariot? god please no not this bullshit.
Nice one, anon.
Even though I suspect you're samefagging
Whenever an attractive person was posted a guy on /fit/ would constantly say "please be in londo/pls be london" which eventually other people started picking up as a joke and just typing out L O N D O N when an attractive person is posted.
The joke is that it's L O N D O instead of Londo because Anor Londo in Dark Souls.
He's not, I told him I appreciated his joke and someone else did the 10/10 thing
>The end goal of the game is to kill Gwyn, who fucked everything up by restarting the age of fire
>He'd rather be a cuck and restart the world again
nigga u gay
It's not as fun as it could be for me because you never actually get to see the results of your gravelording. If you could be an invisible phantom that can't interact with anything watching your black phantoms fucking up the host it'd be more fun.
holy shit I was not prepared for iron keep
I though I'd just run for the zweihander and leave
the early parts are easy, even the part with archers, but as soon as I fall from the bridge onto the archer lane, holy shit so many fuckers appear
>cuck isn't wordfiltered anymore
I still hate that memeword, n00t pls put the filter back
>Dark Souls 2 big fancy opening cutscene is about you and how bad it is being undead rather then world of drangleic and the old ones
well that's kind of lame. I didn't realize a boss I was fighting was one of those important old ones until I'd already killed it and gotten an achievement and special message for doing so.
doesn’t pinwheel give you like 15k? that’s not a lot by any stretch. besides, you can always homeward out. and falling from the ledges on the right places lets you skip almost every enemy. it’s not unfair if the game provides you the tools and you don’t use them
I am in my third playthrough
just reached undead parish bonfire
in my 2 previous playthroughs I never got a balder side sword, is it a hard to farm rare weapon?
I just want a dexterity weapon that I can use normal +15 against bosses without buffs. I intend to get 40 dexterity.
Its not really hard, just get some soft Humanity and kill all the Balder Knights. I'm running a Knight with the Balder Side Sword and its alright, at 23 DEX and +10 its feeling underpowered for Sen's Fortress
Yeah, one who lives in the fucking abyss and created the darkwraiths from basically the same concept as what made oolacile go to hell, i.e. telling people to feed off humanities.
To be fair, Kaathe is the one responsible for New Londo and the Four Kings, and even partly for Artorias, though Manus obviously helped. It's a pretty good assumption to just blame him
didnt the people of Oolacile torture Manus?
I remember the giant saying they drove him insane, whatever it means.
I am new to Dark Souls, and I was disappointed to see that both Manus and Artorias were not human when I played the dlc last week.
I expected Artorias to be a human knight, and Manus to be a human since he was the first human, not a giant monster.
where exactly do you think frampt was chilling before you rang the bells?
the way i see it, all the serpents are beasts of the abyss, trying to deceive players I MEAN CHOSEN UNDEADS to do stuff. they might have some agenda or doing it for the fuck of it. if the caduceus shields are any hint, they might actually be parts of the same being
eingyi is the mastermind, call vaati
Manus was driven insane and then went the way of the abyss, you can thank a serpent for helping out. Artorias tried to be a hero and went alone (with Sif, but the dude was a pup) to fight Manus and got his arm broken, ate some corruption and then got pushed over the edge to become a mess, you can thank a certain serpent for helping. Sif only escaped to become the big boss he became because you traveled back in time to rescue him from the abyss.
New Londo's Four Kings went the way of the abyss and the Darkwraiths popped up all over the place, so some nerds decided the best way to contain them was to flood it. In exchange the nerds killed the entire population and they became vengeful spirits. You can blame Kaathe entirely for this.
Manus being defeated after rising to the title of Father of the Abyss let his abyss powers manifest shitty fights in Dark Souls 2. I totally blame him for the shitty final boss of the vanilla game
>Killed by an invader
>No bloodstain appears
>Lose over 90 humanity and hundreds of thousands of souls
What the fucking fuck
manus’ insanity is related to the loss of his pendant, for which seath is at least partially responsible. but i’ve said it before, you’re reading into things too much. you can find lots of contradictory stuff in ds
The serpents existed before him, and they're meant to live inside the abyss. So yeah, it existed, he was just the first to actually use it and only after he went insane.
It's easier to claim Seathe's golem picked up the pendant rather than blaming him entirely for Manus's madness. Kalameet attacked Oolacile long before Seathe did anything. Seathe just wants all the magic, which is why his shitty butterfly went on an adventure and killed a blacksmith for no reason
golems are generally mindless tools, inorganic matter given life. it seems weird that one would at random pick up something of such importance and another would randomly capture dusk. as for the blacksmith, you’d best ignore him. andre’s storyline was fucking butchered
not explicitly stated, i believe, but it’s pretty certain that he has personal experience on shadowy limbs snatching you through time
But Manus was the one to invent the spreading abyss, right? The abyss in Oolacile looked different than the one in New Londo, which was basically just nothingness, while Manus spread his shit everywhere, infecting everything.
It's incredibly likely that Seathe's golems were in Darkroot as they had been ordered to scavenge anything interesting they could find, as anything out of place would probably be related to Oolacile, and Seathe probably wanted to study the magic of Oolacile.
The golems would have randomly picked up all sorts of shit, including Seathe and the pendant.
And seeing as it's the CU possessing half of the pendant which draws Manus' attention to him, Chester probably has the other half.

As a guy with only a $2000 PC and a WiiU as my systems to play vidya on I can safely say my backlog will last me long enough that I don't mind waiting for PS3 emulation for like 5 more years or so.
but I can play dark souls, dark souls 2, bloodborne, dark souls 3 and probably bloodborne 2 all in the time it will take before I can play demons souls
the only actually worthwhile game of the bunch
I just started dark souls and beat the gargoyle guys and rang the bell. Is there an order the game wants you to beat its bosses or you just do whatever? The game doesn't really tell you shit. Where do I go next?

A curious little story.
Remember the shield contest for Dark Souls II?
I was hyped as fuck back then. I even took part in the contest and got a fairly large share of votes on my shield.
Well - The contest ended and I wasn't exactly surprised that I didn't win.
Then Dark Souls II actually came out and like any person with any common sense, I would see what it was like before purchasing it.
And well, it looked like crap.
That was until some month ago or so, I bought the Scholar of the First Sin package because I had just replayed Dark Souls 1.
And guess what?
I came across the Crimson Parma shield. It's not exactly the same design - but the resemblance is uncanny. I was so fucking happy that my submission - as humble as it was - actually did get in the game in some form.
Here's the submission. Can you see the resemblance too?
Anyone know? What happened to Allfather Lloyd, the undead hunter? How do you know people are undead without killing them or seeing them hollow anyway?
Maybe Lloyd was undead himself, pillaging humanity from other undead.
It does. Talk to people. Read item descriptions, especially those of keys and important-sounding things. You've walked past the way forward before!
Use the basement key you should have found in the parish somewhere on the locked door near Solaire and the dragon bridge.

easy 35000 souls + 265 damage weapon
You know they're undead from the darksign. People don't like undead because they want humanity and eventually go hollow, both things which make them generally dangerous to living humans. Also undead are icky.
fuck the dogs m8
just roll to the god damn stairs and get on the ledge, you try to kill the dogs and they'll either stun you or jump backwards and then you get 2 hand oversmashed by a crap demon
But do all undead really have the darksign? I can kill say the Crestfallen Warrior and he doesn't come back to life, even after hollowing. It seems like most enemies have it, but Knight King Rendal didn't and nor did Black Iron Tarkus, despite them both being undead.
How do you become undead anyway? What IS the darksign?
its the best early rush weapon though for making a new build, beats the fuck out of drake sword
you can have a total ~45000 souls and gravelords sword, titanite slab & ring of fog all in < 15 minutes of start
Why did Astor of Carim go to such lenghts to make the Bloodbite ring?
Did he suffer from any bloodborne diseases or something?
It's never really explained how people become cursed, I've always wondered if you needed to die before you know, or if you could tell premortem.
As for Crestfallen not coming back, I put that more along gameplay than anything else. I would love it if in DSIII, if you killed an undead NPC, they end up repawning, but they are forever pissed that you killed them, and they're all super tough.
but in dark souls, the right arm never has a pauldron or spaulder
i'm assuming that's to reduce any clipping when you're swinging your weapon, but there's way more armors irl that had symmetrical pauldrons than not
What >>128071243 said. If you complain about an enemy or something in a Miyazaki game he will either make references to it in the next game or make the problem worse. That's Miyazaki.
Also wondering why the darksign cannot be removed by a purging stone or living surrogate, maybe it's too powerful as "humans are helpless against curses."
If NPCS came back that'd break the game for noobs who thought they'd fuck up the Crestfallen Warrior cause he only had chainmail, man imagine every time you respawn at firelink everyone you killed there starts mobbing you.
It's a gameplay/story segregation thing as to why unique NPCs don't respawn. It'd be too easy to farm them for souls and items or something.
I like to just imagine that they respawned offscreen where I couldn't see them and wandered off somewhere else and went hollow.
Nice, deep lore.
I don't think its worth it, anything that requires running through just the Catacombs is guaranteed to take multiple tries much less running through the Tomb of Giants and that Gravelord Sword isn't going to get much better compared to the Zweihander, Estoc and Claymore. Guess if you're twinking or something you might want the Gravelord Sword
Then let that be a lesson to people, if you're going to be an asshole, you need to deal with the consequences. A way to balance that out I think would be like DSII's despawn rule, where if you kill them enough times, you'll just find a weakened hollow in their place that's not much of a threat.
Though, seeing stuff like this is hilarious.
Got summoned for Alonne and we managed to get the seppuku death animation, neat! Never seen that in coop before.
why does it take you multiple tries? its the easiest rush in the world
>do asylum normally
>reverse hallowing, grab humanities, drop down into chest area to grab mace + homebones
>run through catacombs
>push lever to become invulnerable and dodge retard necromancer's fire, then roll back up
>run upper catacombs, blocking skeletons if they roll, otherwise just roll past them
>get to upper platform, estus yourself, drop down
>any skeletons that followed you drop to the floor anyway
>run past explody heads and into crypt
>run past titanite demon and roll his swing or jump
>grab eyes of death
>roll back to entrance of crypt
>save/load game so titanite demon is no longer aggroed
>casually nestle into sarcophagus
>return to crypt
>walk back outside, drop down to paladin leeroy and summon him
>drop down to inbetween ledge and let leeroy kill the two bonewheels
>walk to pinwheel and let the retard catch up
>whack pinwheel illusions while leeroy 3-4 shots him
>grab your mask of the child you lucky bastard
>enter tomb of the giants, walk between prism stones
>roll past first skeleton
>slide down 2 pillars in a row
>roll past 2 skeletons again
>slide down another pillar
>let faggot kick you into the pit
>grab both souls + lantern
and then you can just normally run valley of drakes to the elevators, go back to asylum and kill the stray demon easily with either the gravelord sword, bandits knife or mace
fastest way to sequence break a new char
It takes me multiple runs because the skeletons don't act or attack in a consistent way, I experienced this first hand doing one of these rushes to the Great Scythe. Skeleton decides to use a Psycho Crusher at the wrong time and you're dead, maybe one just blocks your path with it's shield up, or you mistime a jump or roll. I don't have a problem with sequence breaking but its really not worth the time wasted to get a weapon that's going to be outclassed by the time you get to Sen's Fortress
Greatswords need to be fucking banned. How the fuck are you supposed to combat that shit?
>punch through armo and shields
>buffs for extra damage
Fucking niggers God damn it.
you can simply walk past skeletons until you see them start and attack and then easily roll it UNLESS they start rolling towards you the moment they see you, in which case you have to raise your shield and block them, then walk past
theres 3 skeletons in the top area of the catacombs and its RNG whether they roll on aggro or not, so all you need to do is block the ones that roll and walk/roll past the rest. Once you're on top of the drop area, you can stand still as long as you want and chug estus and they can never reach you, they just drop into the pit if they try to run to you due to From quality pathing
this doesn't just net you gravelord sword, it gets you the early 15000 from pinwheel, 6000 more from souls in the pit + ring of fog by trading the skull lantern
and hell it outclasses the lightning spear after the triival 2 upgrades anyway, the only reason you wouldn't use the gravelords is if you aren't going the strength/dex to allow it. And you can kill the stray demon with a +0 bandits knife or mace so it doesn't matter for that part
>Think the game is really hard
>Finally get the game
>Realize just how easy it is to play
Woolieis fucking trash.
I don't like the sentinals but i really really liked that aspect of drangliec castle. The demon horse, the old knights, the statues, the gargoyle, it feels like it came straight out of a fucking castlevania game.
>tfw you run a old unoptimized shit
a-any ps4 bro's planning to get DS3 on it?
Yeah, it's also really cringey hearing him trying to explain why he's so bad and making poor excuses for himself. He's too defensive when he needs to be aggressive and he's too aggressive when he needs to be defensive. Watching him fight Smelter Demon and gets hit and heals like 5 times before he even attempts to do an attack
I'm either gonna buy a ps4 or a new pc before ds3. Not sure which yet. New PC would run me abnout the same cost, maybe slighlty more, but I'd be able to mod games and have a (probably) more active community in ds3, but ps4 brings bloodborne.
no idea what I want
My current PC is absolute trash. 5 year old HP laptop. Doesnt even have DX11 for SotFS, and runs wow on min settigns at <20fps
I actually forgot about this. Not like $60 a year is a real issue (a bit more incovenient in the cold white north, though) but I'd rather spend that money on a slightly better pc
Hah, never thought of it that way, but that's a really good observation.
That's a cool idea, maybe have them offer some cool drops too so there's a further incentive to murder NPCs and put up with their invasions.
Ok so retarded question.
I want to try out DS1 for the first time on my PC since I don't own a PS3 or 360 and I can't get it to work. I get around 10 fps trying to play it. I know there are mods that make the game a little better play but what are the absolute best ones? I looked at the wiki and see a bunch but i'm unclear on which ones are for increasing performances besides the obvious DSFix
Sure it sucks they changed business model
at the very least you get free games each month and discount on games so it isnt completely nothing
im not defending it, at least its a pricetag that lasts a year
DSFix is the only really good performance enhancing mod, unfortunately.
DS2 is a lot better optimized, and is (in my opinion) just as good as dark souls 1, if you want to try that first.
Is it really that much better optimized? I know DaS1 was very very poorly optimized but idk. I guess i'll give DS2 a try. If I had the money i'd just buy DS2 on PS4, though and not have to worry about it
If you equip Flame Quartz 3, Regen ring, Crown, and two of those HP regen shields can you at least slow the self burn on that jihad Pyromancy? What about when pumping yourself full of Lifegems/that heal over time miracle?
It's still a deal in Sony's favor. After all, if they would think it would be a good deal for the consumer, there would be no reason for them to hold the online part of any game as a hostage.
Maybe it's a long term strategy where they will increase their gain and decrease yours over time, the initial cost is just there to get the consumer used to paying for their great online service. It's okay to make money, but you have to deliver something for that. It's a certain trend nowadays that you have to pay for shit yet want to convince people to feel good about it.
post your face when das3 has a cape slot for equipment
Checked the wiki, it says it can't have its self damage reduced and won't work with Replenishment but it doesnt say anything about raw self HP damage or if regen items can help counteract it.
Ive been toying around with making a dood whos main attack is immolating himself to attack, wondering what the best way to go about that would be.
>Making a Mage
>Decide to Bonfire Asstastic Scorpioness for dat ring
>Doing pretty well
>She lightly brushes my toe with a claw and I explode into a fine red mist
I may have made a critical mistake.
Does Tark scale up to NG+? If so I might have to use him for tanking.
I just had a strange ass invasion in SOTFS. Is this normal behavior, or a hacker or something?
>get invaded by some invisible guy in Drangleic Castle
>after hitting him, we are both teleported into a boss fight I haven't even reached in the game yet (Twin Dragonriders)
>he kills both of them in one hit each, then turns invisible again
>I walk around for a bit, before he appears, backstabs me, and teleports us back to where we were
>I hit him a couple of times before he turns invisible again, and disappears
I had to be the idiot that rolled for his build. So I'm forced to go Sorcery+Pyro, no other weapons and have to invest into 58 Resistance before I can put any points into any other stat. Would be okay if I didn't get Warrior, so I don't have any attunement slots until 58 Resistance.
I had a ghoul in Huntsman's Copse keep running past me, what's the deal with that? Like, I'd walk along the ledge and suddenly a ghoul walk speed walk right past me way faster than I could run, then he walked into the skeleton cave, ran a circle and went by me again.
Hey guys, I'm making an INT build for PvP in Dark Souls II and I need some pointers, as I am not well versed in how builds/soul memory works. I already have 50 INT and 25 ATT, how high should I level Vigor & Endurance, and how high should I level adaptability? What SL+Soul Memory do I stop @.
It's just for shits and giggles I think (ran into him in SOTFS), if you kill him he drops repair powder.
SL doesn't matter, but stop your SM around 3-5million
You won't need much vigor since you're be traveling light I presume but level end to at least 20 so you can cast and dodge at you leisure without running out of stamina often
I don't know much about Demon's Souls but from what I have seen it seems to have some really fantastic character/monster designs and names for locations and people. Why do those aspects seem to have been better in DeS?
The scale of the game is much smaller than Dark Souls 1 or 2, so they had more time to refine things.
They clearly have ambitious ideas for Dark Souls, but they haven't gotten the time to flesh them out.
how would you rate my build?
>greatshield of artorias (2 handed main hand)
>grass shield (offhand on back)
>grass crest ring
>34 strength, 40 endurance
>eat grass to prebuff, probably wouldn't bother with SMS
Really? I felt like it was definitely inspired by Lovecraftian elements. Hell one of the DLC areas is practically Innsmouth
Either way as long as they make good quality games I'm okay with whatever direction they take
Read this and ctrl f arrows
Is there an updated sotfs weapons chart like this one?
Use what feels good. Also, after feeling the PS4 controller, the 360 controller is trash to me and I know a bunch of people who feel the same way. idk if the Xbone one is the same
This is the latest one I have. But the guy said he was making another
I got skinny asian hands so I prefer the ds4. The thing is, ds4win, the community tool for the controller has been working wonky since I changed to win10. So I switched to kb+m for DS2
As long as you have 95-100 agi it doesn't matter. Attunement also slightly increases agi as well so level up adp to supplement that
cant distinguish you from anyone else sorry!
Isn't there a supposed mouse delay or some shit for DS2/SOTFS?Gabengames certified cashgrab zero-support authenticity.
Read bout the double durability bug on launch and just lost it
It's due to double clicking detection. They patched in an option to disable it. But they fucked that up and you need to reset the option every time you boot up the game.
It's not as bad as it sounds. Mouse camera is more comfy than adopting the controller claw grip.
Sorry for the late reply but the clothing items are:
>dear artorias could never tap that one last time
>she became driven by dicklust and mutated into a monster
a similar thing might have happened to gough as well, from what we see of that area where his greatarrows are flying at you. did he go hollow or something? can giants go hollow? maybe he's still sane but wants to end all hollows/humans now?
>become the lord of darkness and Jewish snakes
>set yourself on fire for a dying world
Very compelling indeed senpai
>co-oping in Anor Londo
>some dickwraith wearing nothing but a dusk crown keeps invading my hosts and instakilling them with WotG
How much damage would a presumably 50 faith dusk crown boosted Wrath do? Enough to instakill level 50 hosts or is this faggot cheating?
>want to join dickwraiths
>to do that I have to speak with Kaathe before placing the lordvessel
>to get to Kaathe I have to fight 4kings and for that I need to fight sif
>want to see the Sif cutscene when I fight him
>but want to leave Oolacile for last
What triggers the Sif cutscene? Saving him or fighting Manus?
DS 2 and especially the Scholar of the first sin seems to love to put you against hordes way too much.
And not in fun way, like with bunch of weak hollows that are easily dispatched, but can overwhelm you if you are careless.
But no, normal enemies that you'd like to fight one or maybe two at a time, it tries to get in your ass as many as possible.
Just fought the Ivory King for the first time and 20 guys trying to pound your ass being the warm-up and the bossfight itself being same, but with boss in the mix, is just bullshit.
