DN is a flash simulator that accurately simulates IRL gameplay. The rest are automated programs listed from best to worst.
The Official /dng/'s ruling test can be found here:
BEFORE ASKING ANYTHING, TRY THE FOLLOWING:
● Read carefully the cards
● Keep any deck you use at 40 cards.
● Google your Deck before you post it here. If your deck is/was competitive it will probably have topped an event.
● Most Yu-Gi-Oh Games have an option between Singles (Self explanatory, a single Game) and Matches (Best of 3). It is recommended that you play Matches, as Singles does not teach you how to use your Side Deck.
● Remember to play-test constantly and try suggestions before you discard them, even if someone recommends a weird tech choice.
Thats Korea only, isnt it
when will tcg get based mats like that
Most expensive cards in OCG SHVI:
Fuyu Sakura (2000 yen)
Sage with Eyes of Blue (1200 yen)
RR Ultimate Falcon (730 yen)
Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon (630 yen)
Rector Pendulum (609 yen)
Everything else is mostly worthless
Here for the inevitability of BOSH killing everything
>RR lists post-SHVI still don't use rank-ups other than Soul Shave, or RR Xyz monsters other than Force Strix
Gee, who could have seen that coming. It's almost like consistency is more important than sacky power plays or something.
>only worthwhile cards in the entire set are a handtrap that hurts everything that isn't R4 goodstuff, and level 4 pendulums that EMEm can splash to lock out the extra deck
way to drive the point home, Konami. could they be any more blatant about what they want people to play?
>Sakura Nekroz's Arc Light
>Sakura DRAGONS Dracossack and Big Eye or Dank Matter
>Sakura Shaddolls Construct
>Sakura BA's Dante
>Sakura Qusar.dek's Formula
>Sakura Trains Number 81
>Sakura Yuma's Utopia
Truly the greatest equalizer of our time. So much of the banlist can be reconsidered now.
You only have to shuffle it once to stop the opponent from tracking a card, but it's something to do with your hand and might distract your opponent.
The cards do curve if you shuffle too roughly, but that usually doesn't come up.
You know, pros like Patrick "Hulk" Hoban.
help me improve my semi-budget deskbots
HOW DARE YOU? HOW DARE YOU MAKE MY ANGEL CRY?!
>implying 3 maxx c and an archfiend heiress is budget shit
>implying deskbots are pricey
>implying goyo isn't a budget card
Seriously, why is every Dark World so fucking retarded? I'm playing against this high-rated guy on DN, who thinks that Return of the Red-Eyes' effect works like Call of the Haunted and that I can't use it during his EP and use it again in my M1. Now I have to wait for an admin to come.
And incidentally, he uses DW. And it's not even the first time I come across a retarded DW player. Jesus.
I ACTIVATE THE QUICK-PLAY SPELL, BERSERKER SOUL!
I DISCARD MY WHOLE HAND TO ACTIVATE ITS EFFECT! I CAN KEEP DRAWING CARDS UNTIL I REACH A NON- MONSTER CARD, BUT I HAVE TO DISCARD THEM! AND FOR EACH MONSTER, A MONSTER ON MY FIELD WITH 1500 OR LESS ATK GAINS AN ADDITIONAL ATTACK!
>1500 or less?! At that time... Yugi... To think he thought ahead that far...
LET'S GO! I DRAW THE FIRST CARD! DRAW! I SEND THE MONSTER CARD, QUEEN'S KNIGHT TO THE GRAVEYARD!
BREAKER THE MAGICAL WARRIOR, ADDITIONAL ATTACK!
SECOND CARD, DRAW! MONSTER CARD!
THIRD CARD, DRAW! MONSTER CARD!
DRAW! MONSTER CARD!
MONSTER CARD! MONSTER CARD! MONSTER CAAARDDDD! MONSTER...
>STOP IT, YUGI!
>HAGA'S LIFE IS ALREADY DOWN TO ZERO! THE DUEL IS OVER!
so ruling question:
im playing UAs. I have midfield attack a facedown monster (with flip effect), and use penalty box effect. do i banish the card facedown or does it get flipped face up. if it does, does it get its flip effect before it is banished?
>2 out of 4 card shops, the ones closest to me, forgot to order sneak peeks
>went to the one next closest, 1.5 hrs away, they sold out just as i got there
>called the other, they're sold out too since like 12
No. A monster's flip effect activates after damage calculation, and deciding if a monster is to be destroyed. By then, it's already been banished. Also, flipping the monster happens after the 'at the start of the Damage Step' step, so it wouldn't flip. So it would be banished FD.
How did I miss both the "he" and "it"?
I shall repent with Kazuki Zorc
Since Amorphage sucks, why don't we try to make a deck revolving around this card?
Which is why you run Fiendish or BTS in RR, to prevent Lightning from even attacking.
Or better yet, run Blossom and reveal your own Lightning to banish it before it even hits the field.
Anon, you are a lifesaver. When I saw this I texted my friend who runs the SPs and Yugioh events at my LCS, and he told me ours was in fact today, not Sunday. Luckily for me I can change my plans, but my I'm worried some of my friends who I told it was Sunday are screwed. I feel bad.
Sneak Peek tips in case anyone hasn't done theirs yet: Al-Lumi'raj is fucking OP in sneak, it ends up attacking over everything with 700 atk.
Run all the Dinomists you have, they're the best archtype in the set, they have a good trap and scales.
Don't run Shiranui, the trap is good but you'll just end up drawing your banish targets (this cost me games).
Monkeyboard is a one card pendulum scale, even if you don't have guiturtle there are decent other performapal scales you can search with him, so run him.
There's some performapal bug pendulum that pops a card on battle destruction, real good.
If you have anything that can pop scales run it.
This sneak is annoying at times, because if your opponent has scales and pend monsters they can just pend them back and stall and maybe deck you out. Overall though you want to focus on getting good scales and getting beatsticks out.
It sucks when I hear that other places can deck out at sneak, I think it was NECH the one that had wonder balloons and ruffian railcar that my goal was just to deck them out only to be told that we couldn't deck out, majority rules and at ours people say you cannot deck out.
No actually ended up decking out, but some people almost did, I'm not sure what the policy on decking out is though it may have continued or just went with life points at the time.
Came back from Sneak Peek
Pulled the worst 2 out of the 8 secrets available along with Neptabyss and that one Buster Blader
I also got some Dinoster stuff that I may keep
Anyone got an example build I could maybe follow?
He means that you'd use Advent's Second effect to ritual summon it, by tributing Odd-Eyes monsters from your extra deck.
Problem with this strategy is that it's obvious once you do it once and your opponent can play around it.
Literally shit pulls from 2 sneaks. Only thing is 1 twin twister. But I won both sneaks and got the mats and traded them in for stuff worth 20 bucks each so I didnt go minus.
Also Dinomist Rex is the most broken fucking sneak card. Literally won every game thanks to him and the spell and the trap made it super consistent to get him plus enough mists to pendulum and for tribute fodder.
Assuming you mean Dinomist, I got you mah nigga
The opening videos up on YT right now make it look like BOSH is just loaded down with Buster Blader, Majespecter and Dinomist shit. All the good supers like Twin Twister and Master Pendulum seem pretty scarce.
Yea the prices are going up like crazy now that people are realizing that stuff isnt that abundant despite the rarity changes.
Also why is Ultimate Providence just 9 bucks? The thing sounds super awesome for the time when notice goes to 1.
>having Ariadne in your Pendulum Zones doesn't mean you have to pay a cost
Sucks to suck.
You know now that I'm actually thinking about it looking at all these Facebook posts from Hoban, why the fuck is the TCG Yugioh in general so far behind the times when it comes to social media?
I don't think I've seen any "relevant" player use Twitter at all, and the Judges and Yugioh TCG just likes to use Facebook which is just god awful in terms of advertising. Is the TCG just too retarded to use Twitter?
glad i reminded you, at least someone gets something out of this. i'm really disappointed in my locals, how could you forget to do something like that, especially for the biggest pack in years? they didn't warn anyone, and people went disappointed and had to travel 2 or more hours away from the city just to get to the only shop doing it
>Updates get released
>Have to rebuild all my decks like Amorphage, Blue-eyes and Prediction Princess
>Notice the art on Light Guidance
Are we getting a new boss monster for Blue-eyes? There's an astral projection of a bigger white dragon behind the normal one
What are you talking about? Of course floodgate.dek is going to top.
To be fair it was only like a 32 man tournament and literally no one thought Dracopals weren't going to get better and if they did they were fucking retards anyway
At least the cards we thought would see play like Floating Ghost and Rector are seeing play right out of the gate. Surprised to see only 1 copy each for certain Dracopals builds, might just be them not having enough copies or something
Will say that I'm definitely surprised that fucking Odd-Eyes Performapal Unicorn is seeing play even if its only an excuse to throw in Avian and Majespecter Unicorn just because they can
You're probably just blind
Titanic Galaxy is way more relevant in the mirror than Felgrand, especially if all you're going to manage to do with Felgrand is either negate one of their monsters or protect itself which in the long run is pretty shit since they've got ways to run Felgrand over
And here's the link to one of the sites with the new tops in case you're too retarded to not know about this place already
Still sorta shocked at only 1 Rector, but again, just gonna assume they couldn't get more copies
My guess is that while it's effect is pretty insane, it is a little winmore and unneccessary, and while it does facefuck the opponents board it does do the same thing to yours as well
It's White Spirit Dragon being tuned into Blue-eyes Spirit Dragon
It's like how Return of the Red-eyes has Flare Dragon being overlayed with Black Metal Dragon to form Red-eyes Flare Metal Dragon
I like this contrast
>both limits plays since Flare Metal burns for every plays while Spirit floodgates and stops floating
>both float into something else since Flare Metal beings back a Red-eyes while Spirit Dragon goes into Azure-eyes
Not to mention it can redirect attacks to itself cockblocking battle destruction removal, and you can suicide one of your other Xyz with no materials to have a really big dragon up in the field (crash a Castel that used up its effect and suddenly it jumps to 5K)
Shit's got nice utility, even if you disregard it being a R8 and all
I honestly hope so too but that's not going to happen anytime soon unless I somehow manage to pull off anime status first turns with RB against PePe.
Coming back into competitive play is going to be tough. I know I'll never top, but I want to be up there someday.
>"Wow, that's the first time I've ever heard of someone find that idea!"
You can try to believe that such a card will work against the new meta perfectly without flaw until you're greeted with a door to your face.
Forgot the image.
No seriously, Side this in and watch the salt
It's still way more fun than other cards games
>Try running this in unlimited on dn to counter Pot of Greed and shit
>Never activate it ever because no one I play against plays any banned spells
Why are there people that play unlimited and don't run 3 of every OP spell, what's even the point?
Tell me what is the exact point of setting backrow that can only be used as a reaction to your opponent's Counter Trap cards. Give me a quality example of a good scenario to use this card in.
>"If you go first turn, you can set one and do whatever else, then pass."
Giving the baton to your opponent and allowing them to go off without anything to stop them does nothing for you, it just means that you're going to go minus once they bring out Ignister.
>selling those cards lower than the initial price
What do I replace the 4 banned cards in this list with?
I can think of putting in twin twister and soul charge to replace monster reborn and feather duster. The other 2 banned cards could be replaced with maxx "c" or reckless greed for more draw power.
It's been too long. I don't understand this game anymore. What is this Banned List!? Help, please!
For fucks sake konami, this card is so fucking dumb
The japs are already siding it and some are even using it in the main.
Why are you bringing up trips when literally no one was talking about them before and the person who're you're even responding to isn't a trip?
Why do you insist on dickriding so much?
The worst part is that it doesn't even do anything to generic r4 decks, but hoses the everloving shit out of petdecks that rely on certain ED bosses.
Konami literally printed a card just to let the best deck autowin against anything not itself.
You can't make this shit up.
> deskbot 009 is finally on ygopro
Let's test this nigga out
Definitely using her in Amorphage, since I will not be needing the extra deck. Goodbye Dark Law, Norden, Ptolemy, Cyber Dragon Nova/Infinity and any other pain in the ass Synchro/Xyz.
>Tarotrei / Forbidden lockdown
Fuck you AND your wombo-combo!
>they don't run Dodger Dragon
It's like you WANT to lose
Thoughts on Gusto deck? Nothing like dealing over 20,000 damage against Beelze.
Black Rose Dragon accomplishes the same thing as Exciton and in the same position. You were losing (in resources) from the beginning. Using it wasn't end all be all, unless the deck has shit recovery.
>Black Rose Dragon accomplishes the same thing as Exciton and in the same position
No, you stupid retard.
BRD has to nuke on summon only, and nukes itself as well, not only that, but due to nuking itself, it can't be reused like Exciton.
Why the fuck do shitters keep comparing it to Exciton? It's garbage in comparison.
how do I out that fucking thing in Gustos
I always brick with Pilica at 3, I prefer to get her through e-tele anyway. Is Windaar really that bad?
>tribute monster unless Thunbolt or Serene Psychic Witch is involved
>Bad Shura clone
Don't like any of the tributes. Reeze is less awful because monster theft.
Still gonna recommend 3 Pilicas. Especially with the Roid engine.
3 pilica and 3 e tele? I can test it out but I've found 2:3 to be the perfect ratio, especially with how support puts them back into the deck. Is the roid engine the best engine I can put in Gustos? The decks' become a
breezesince I put them in. Also, what's Shura? And Reeze is outclassed by creature swap imo.
I'm not a Jap, what is Sakura?
I seriously cannot understand how the fuck anyone watches CapG when he mispronounces EVERY. SINGLE. FUCKING. CARD NAME. Holy shit I was about to have a conniption just listening to the dude butchering the names like a motherfuck
Blackwing/Gusto is that "Night-Gusto" shit that uses dark simorgh, right? Why would Gustos and Blackwings want anything to do with eachother? They both revolve around the battle-phase and come at it from completely different angles.
Weird hybrids from ages ago and the only "viable" (using that term very loosely) ones were shoving 3 Psychic Witch and Esper Girls in the deck pre-Pilica and nowadays Speedroid engine
if the only turn i dead draw it is the first it doesn't make it automatically shit. unless you're one of those retards who thinks everything that isn't tier 2 and below is utter garbage.
>everything that isn't tier 2 and below is utter garbage.
For starters let me help you out there and say that I know you meant "isn't tier 2 and ABOVE is utter garbage" so that that sentence actually makes sense, and let me point out that that is pretty much exactly the case
There really is no such thing as a"Tier 3" or whatever imaginary number you faggots like to slap onto your favorite deck as a means of pretending they're relevant in some fashion. It's "The Good decks", "The sort of Good decks" and the "The Bad decks" with no real inbetween and Gustos are a fucking bad deck
Also I find it pretty hilarious that you think that in a game that is nearly consistently decided on the first turn somehow makes a card that you can't immediately use on your first turn and a card that needs at least a good 5 turns of setup somehow isn't a bad card.
>correcting peoples grammar on the internet
fucking hell you couldn't have done it in a cringier way as well. Alright then, Gustos are a "bad deck" because they're not in the top 10 decks of the format, happy?
>5 turns of setup
do you have any idea what Gustos do? the recruiter loop can fill the grave in 1/2 turns easy, roid engine automatically puts 3 in there.
I just realised both these posts were made by the same autistic anon. Sperg out somewhere else you fucking retard.
That's still the weakest fucking defense in running a bad card I've ever seen in my life. You yourself are admitting that at least 3 things need to go right for the setup to even go off without a hitch and then to do what? Summon a bad boss monster that has about as much relevance in a Pendulum format as it did when the card would have actually been somewhat decent?
in case you can't keep up I'm saying that the effect isn't good anymore
Instead of getting so asspained at any amount of criticism for your poorly built deck, why not actually grow a pair of nuts and either accept that your deck is bad and move on with your life or, and bear with me here, actually play a good deck that won't get your shitton for your unbearably bad deckbuilding choices?
But anon, I'm not mad? You're the one typing out multiple posts and paragraphs telling me to "move on with my life" because I use Windrose and you don't. The irony of your posts are making me cringe super hard. You've been insulting my deck for the last twenty minutes continually because of one card in it that seems to be stressing you out /really/ hard.
This guy has just been powered up by Deskbot 3, base and his own effect and he's about swing for game
What do you do /dng/?
Drop Damage Juggler at the start of BP.
>sperg out with multiple replies and paragraphs and spoilers and talk about life choices over fucking Windrose
>ask sperg what his problem is
>WOAH YOURE SO MAD BRO, YOU GOTTA MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE
You got your (you)s, good troll, dude. I hope for your mental health you're not being serious.
I can smell the autistic rage from here
D/D's are literally Opinion Town.
There's no correct way to play em, Just a bunch of differnet ones. You're better off playtesting till you like what you're getting out consitently
>when you try to attack with a different deskbot
He only has one attack.
And you can't activate cards or effects in response to its attack, so what you do is flip Breakthrough or Fiendish right before they enter the BP
What the fuck are you talking about
>Opponent: Do you have anything you want to do at the start of BP?
>Deskbot Player: No
>Opponent: Ok. Damage Juggler?
there's your fucking priority, you passed it when you have nothing to do at the start of BP
>While during the Draw, Standby and End Phase the turn player still has priority, the opponent may often activate a card or effect without confirming that the turn player has not claimed their priority.
Fuck you retard
I was going to write a list with the punchline being #1 being stop being a special snowflake faggot, but then I got bored.
Stop being a special snowflake faggot. Also Prediction Princess is the pet deck of choice right now.
Fuck him and exciton Knight. Raigeki and Dark Hole also need to be hit.
Of course a scrub would come out and defend Raigeki.
Riverside can't use DN because his internet is utter shit or something.
Raigeki is questionable, but Exciton doesn't really deserve to be banned in the scope of the meta.
>try it out and make a deck myself, only borrowing the Nimble idea from a deck I found online
>it's literally unplayable
What archetype would work well with Nimbles?
I just know Heroes does
I can play DN, but duels there take forever, it doesn't have the latest cards, and its full of rulesharkers.
Raigeki is literally a minus -1 to nuke your opponent's board and Dark hole should go back to one.
Excition Knight was always cancer
>hurr you have one card over me, whole field gets nuked but you take no damage so have time to recover durr.
Nice BLS decklist, If only PrePrep worked with Super Soldier instead of vanilla.
Who's the qt btw?
Infernity player actually, also who gave you permission to reply to me?
Yugibaboons aren't used to having to use their brain, which is why they play Yugioh instead of something more complex like Poker instead.
>waste time dueling a scrub
I really like this deck, even if it got axed by the banlist.
Anyways, around when can we expect more info on the upcoming Dark Magician support?
ebin troll :DDD I r8 8/8
Raigeki and D hole are +0 since you can't even use them w/o a monster on the field, and if you pop at least 1 monster it breaks even. The thing is that those cards alone can break the balance of a duel very suddenly with little or no cost for the user.
Also, every video has annotations that link to a video that explain who the girl is. I think animations don't work if watching on phones though, which is dumb.
Her name is Akiko Himenokouji.
Shut the FUCK up, Mariomon.
>that vanilla, non-useful Normal monster you really like that will probably never get support
When will it Great Bill's turn to shine?
Sometimes I get a petdeck idea that sounds nice on paper, but when it comes to building it I remember I'm fucking shit at deckbuilding (and also fucking shit at the game but let's leave that aside for now) and I get a bit upset.
But then I remember - at least I'm not playing Noble Knights.
>The thing is that those cards alone can break the balance of a duel very suddenly with little or no cost for the user.
That's the entire point of having them, to turn the tides over so that you can gain advantage over your opponent. It's so other decks can stand a chance against PePe/Kozmos/insertwhatevertier0deckhere. If you lose a match to Raigeki/Dark Hole, then you're either absolute shit at this game or are playing a deck so ancient I can find it inscribed in Egyptian hieroglyphics.
With the support Normal monsters have gotten in the recent years, are Normal monster decks usable yet?
Pic related looks fun
Let's see. WHO would you propose as a candidate for my new waifu?
I'm sure if Yugioh4realmen was still around he could figure out a FTK involved that critter.
And do you know when we will get the next one? I think they are issued monthly but I don't know if its at the beginning of the month, or maybe around the 15th.
There's literally nothing wrong with NBR other than Japan having that stupid law.
Isn't it legal in Germany as well?
I never said you had to play them
Fuck, I don't even play them.
Hell, I think I'm the only anon on this entire board that still holds strong with Ritual Beasts despite being hot garbage now.
>WHO would you propose as a candidate for my new waifu?
Anyone except my waifu.
Like this slut
I recommend this smug loli as a new waifu candidate.
Now that the dust has settled.. How was everyone's Sneak Peek?
I didn't pull very well (Ariadne, only non-super was Buster Dragon), or win a mat, but I traded for a lot of stuff I needed, Secret MSTs and Secret Mirror Forces, offloaded my LOB-E042 Dark Hole, and my friends got lots of stuff they needed, one pulled Rafflesia.
I want to achieve mental clarity and reveal 5 tuners from the top of my deck to attack 5 times for game
How do I build my deck to do this?
The only noteworthy stuff I got was Twin Twisters and Neptabyss. I did get a Buster Blader Fusion and a Dark Eclipser, but I can't consider those good pulls because of how common they are. Luckily I was able to trade it off for another Twin Twisters and Ignister, but aside from that, I really didn't get much.
I hope I win the raffle this Sunday though. I really want the mat.
>pic related going up in price
You people are retarded. This shit is going to get hit next list
Anime nostalgiafag looking to get into the game for the first time here. Should I use dueling network or ygopro?
Also, can dueling network work with HTML5 or is it flash only?
Naturia beast is only useful as six sam tech or as a staple in naturias but everybody was on Catasor as a level 5 synchro
He's the most anti meta synchro available.
What the hell is going on with this game
YGOPro is your best bet if you want to understand the rulings for cards a bit better.
Dueling Network is only recommended if you already have prerequisite knowledge of how the game actually functions.
Good shit man. My buddy, who runs my LCS' YGO events, got one, and a Rafflesia. You keeping it or selling/trading?
At least you got your TTs. Everyone who got them at mine kept them or traded before I could grab them.
I wanted the mat, too, it's really nice. Finally one without a dragon.
If you want to be a shitter who anime duels, DN (Flash only). If you want to actually learn, start on YGOPro, since you can't not follow mechanics, then DN later on to learn how to do shit for yourself.
The point is that to pull of the CLEAR MINDU 5 attacks you want you have to dump your deck, accel synchro shooting star and use Mind Angus to shuffle 5 tuners back into your deck.
Use lightsworns or kuribandit idk because Power Wall and Slash draw are never getting printed since nobody has nostalgia for GX like they do for DM
>trying to get my friend into Yugioh by telling him that it's a way more fun game than Magic
>he sees this
>laughs and says that it's an unbalanced mess of a game and that he'll stick to Magic instead
that's what you get for telling him something so awful about the game. While not hard to get into t, this game has obscure rulings and awful things about it, my friends always see me enjoying it but I never recommend it to them, because I actually care for them
>laughs and says that it's an unbalanced mess of a game and that he'll stick to Magic instead
I know his type. He was never going to convert to yugioh. He was only humoring you at this point.
It doesn't even get this insane in the "competitive scene," this is just Shinkuros going off anime-status like they always do because the deck is designed to be the manifestation of hype.
>friend tries to get me into Magic
>play RDW because everything else is slow and boring to me
>frustrate him to no end by winning (IN FUCKING STANDARD NO LESS)
>invite him to play YGO
>he gets pissed at me for telling him, "no, you can't do that yet" and then pulling a wombo-combo that fucks him in the ass
>mfw he thinks I'm cheating when I'm just playing better than him at both games
>IN FUCKING STANDARD NO LESS
I don't know why you think this is important to bring up, because it's really not. Standard is supposed to be the weakest format because they've set it up to sell newer, mostly shittier, product
So, can anyone explain to me why I fail to find either cosplay or porn of this card?
If MtG was simpler it would have an automated dueling system like Percy, but the complicated strategies that can be implemented by this "simple" card game simply cannot be recreated except by paid professionals. The best people can do is create Cockatrice solely because the amount of coding necessary for such an intellectual card game is beyond your feeble minds.
>Magicucks swear their game is better and takes more skill because of the resource system and prize support and that everyone should jump ship since Yugioh is dying
>It's going to shit because of WotC getting greedy and killing the Legacy format and adding new features
>Magicucks get BTFO when they play Yugioh since it goes too fast for them but Yugioh to Magic easily becomes pro
>Yugioh is going full mainstream and gaining more attention because of the new movie due in April.
Feels good to watch the Magic shitposters get BTFO
I figured out how to make yugioh not a steaming pile of shit. Get rid of xyz and get rid of pendulums.
Just make pendulums go into the extra deck when they're destroyed on the field and sent to the graveyard.
No faggy bullshit about them going into extra any time they would be sent to the graveyard from the field, that's fucking stupid
I mean back when they came out Pends were kind of ass but did no one realize how fucking bad would that be once the first GOOD pendulums came out?
>Yugioh is going full mainstream and gaining more attention because of the new movie due in April.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves
Most people who liked Yugioh back in the day don't care about the movie
Nah, Remove every set that came out during 2007 to now and keep the banlist and Yugioh is GOAT.
This is because GX had cards which were underpowered except for Cyber Dragons, Lightsworns and the Doctor and kept the game slow paced until 5ds came along with synchros
everyone knew it was a broken mechanic from the beginning, it's just that konami placed all kinda of restrictions in everything until zefra, then finally tried to be less restrictive with magicians and finally the latest performapal are broken.
It was broken from the beginning and everyone knew
>Most people who liked Yugioh back in the day don't care about the movie
The main trailer from last year has one million views and the rest which are reactions or other trailers all have over 50,000 and the comments are all about wanting the return of Atem, Tea, Kaiba and Yugi so they can relive their childhood.
Don't underestimate nostalgia
Make way fuckers the real meta king coming through.
If you can summon that a bunch of times in one turn, that'll be fine.
Name a SINGLE pro-player from Yugioh that went to Magic the Gathering and turned into a pro-player there.
He's the opposite case, Duffie played Magic for 3 years before starting into Yugioh, won Nats, then started to scrub out on Yugioh while having a constant record on Magic.
Im asking for a player that started with Yugioh and was recognized as a pro-player, then jumped to Magic and got recognized as a pro-player in Magic too.
There's no examples of that, which is very telling of the low competitive ceiling on Yugioh.
>There are maybe 2 or 3 ''pro.player'' from yugioh who went to magic
Links from Wizards.com?
You know that your word alone is not worth shit right?
>Playing Deskbots against Kozmo
>Fucker brings out a Leo out his ass turn 1. Makes no sense, but whatever. Shit hand, maybe.
>Making my play
>Suddenly realize I can make THE PERFECT PLAY:
-3x Deskbot 003
-Pendulums set with Deskbots
That would make Deskbot 009 a 22,000 beatstick.
>There are maybe 2 or 3 ''pro.player'' from yugioh who went to magic
And they became pro-players with good results there too?
Because that's the whole discussion is about.
Im not asking if pro-players from Yugioh went to Magic, of course many have done that. BUT NOT A SINGLE ONE HAS BECOME A PRO PLAYER AT MAGIC.
I do not follow magic. There aren't even a lot of yugioh ''pro-players'' so its obvious that there are not a lot of them who went on to play magic. The chance is extremely low that one of them went on to be a magic pro.
Also, you should know if there is someone like that. You are the magic player here.
>of course many have done that.
I doubt that.
When your game drops it's resource crutch and actually takes some skill to decide what plays to make, then maybe I'll consider playing it.
Until then stop shitting up our general.
Name a SINGLE pro-player from the NFL that went to Hockey and turned into a pro-player there.
>I'm right but I don't need to prove I'm right because my game is superior and I don't need to prove anything
Not a SINGLE counter strike player ever went pro on COD, not one.
>going to a yugioh general on 4chan just to shit up the general
>claiming shit and not providing proof
There aren't a lot of yugioh ''pro'' players to begin with and there are obviously way less who went on to play magic. We play yugioh and not magic so we obviously don't follow magic tournaments. How is this so fucking hard to understand? This is why you are dumb.
You know what I learned with this whole discussion?
That Magic players actually learn useful theories that improve their skill, which help them climb the competitive scene on Yugioh, allowing them to be pro-players on both Magic and Yugioh.
Yugioh players on the other hand, end up with nothing of value to carry over when switching to Magic, never let go of their incorrect theories, and never manage to climp the competitive ladder on Magic because of that.
Who knew? Yugioh teachs you nothing of value and makes you a worse player, while Magic makes you a better player at any TCG or CCG.
