you can accrue 90 additional proficiency points by doing three things
>Get an S-rank or infiltrate/defend an FOB 3 times (distinguished service medal)
>Be originally captured as a puppet or get taken prisoner (service cross, if they don't already have it don't but but there technically are ways to do it for male soldiers exclusively)
>defend an FOB by personally killing or extracting the infiltrator (medal of honor)

This'll upgrade a low rank soldier to A++ usually, for higher rank soldiers it CAN change SOME S-ranks to S+ ranks, but not all of them. in order for this to happen they have to be a higher value of S-rank to begin with.

This guy here was originally an S-rank, but I extracted him as a puppet and defended an FOB a few times, now he's an S+.

Note: QT's can only get medals of honor and distinguished service medals.

Defenses are more reliable and give as much progress towards a service medal than infiltration.

The best way to get a bunch of defense requests is to refresh the list of people to support until you find some sub 1000 esp rank people, they'll get invaded through retaliation pretty regularly and if their not online it's your turn.

Even using custom groups your percentages aren't great though, unlike PW you can't flood the battlefield with ten tanks and a ZEKE to make combat losses impossible.

Online deployments have fixed death rates too, doesn't matter who you deploy so it's best to deploy your biggest jobbers first.

Ok so after googling a ton there doesn't seem to be any conclusive answers about this so I figured I'd ask here.

After mission 41 the story fucking froze and refused to progress. I dicked around a bit as supposedly would help, and it did. The game gave me Mission 43 and some tapes after that and I'm fucking frozen again. Done almost all the REUSED missions and some boring ass side ops. How the actual fuck do I make the game continue the fucking story this is abslute garbage. I don't wanna do all this side bullshit, just let me finish this fucking game so I can waste my life on other garbage.

All the fucking threads keep telling me to do side ops and unequip the butterly emblem. I'm mashing side ops without any fucking success and I dont even know how to equip emblems, and It's not working. Someone help me end this bullshit

I put all of mine on the top of vents, that way they either have to spend the time to go all the way down again, doubling their time as a bright glowing wall beacon, or they don't realize in time and get blasted off the roof.

Intel platform is a gimme, 1 at the upper floor ladder and 3 at the tops of each of the vents. there is literally no way to ingress to the objective without triggering a mine. place the camera on the pole next to the top vent.
