I was on my flash last night, shooting some grenades at an enemy lightning, when the strangest thing happened.
He shot at me, scored a direct hit on my bike and it didn't die. It almost did but I was still alive, still going on just a sliver of health. Did my armour plating finally pay off?
Wanna know something funny? If you shoot only one AP shell (max anchor and reload) and then reload, it turns out to have just over double of the DPS the vannie or crabrider AP has.

His numbers seem to be legit. Anchored AP prowler kills Vanguard in 7 seconds from the front while it takes 15s to kill a Prowler with AP Vanguard.

426 damage to Prowler
362 damage to Vanguard
If you want to model the Vanguard's shield as being a flat constant 50% EHP bonus (which is REALLY isn't): Vanguard takes 241 damage.
Vanguard can tank 1.7 times the damage
using this terrible model for the shield, it really is much lower than that, but Prowler has 2.7 times the DPS.
If, for whatever reason, neither of them use their abilities (but both have maxed reload):
Vanguard can tank 1.18 times the damage, but Prowler has 1.69 times the DPS.
If neither has maxed reload, Prowler still has 1.61 times the DPS.

Shh anon, all tank fights take place on an open plane with no cover where the Vanguard and Magrider drivers don't circle to the left or right when fighting Prowlers, only look straight at them and press LMB.
If they're at close range, it's safe to assume that the Prowler will hit all its shots on a Vanguard moving at full speed.
If they're at a range where leading starts to be a significant factor, then gauging for drop is too, and it should be mentioned that it takes a Vanguard ~4.5 as much time to gauge for drop as it takes an anchored Prowler. The sooner you establish by how much to compensate for drop, the sooner you start doing actual damage.
For the Vanguard's tankiness to outweigh the Prowler's anchored DPS, The Prowler needs to miss 38% of its shells (while the Vanguard has a 100% hit rate, which is also not obvious at very long range, even on a stationary target).
This is literally the argument for the current state of the banshee, lad.

That webm is a perfect example of incredibly high TR DPS. The NC in question did xir best but immobile TR with I N C R E D I B L Y high DPS just wasted xer instantly without xheir shields providing much benefit.

Someone needs to make some OC of DSP as an NC who rolls up to an anchor Prowler, pops his shield immediately and just sits in place trying to DPS race the Prowler with a 1/2 HEAT Vanguard.

This chart assumes that there is no delay between shots. In reality, there is 0.5 seconds, and even more if you take time to aim your shots carefully. If you don't, you'll probably miss half of your shots, lowering your actual DPS.
The higher VKPH of Prowler is also because MBTs are not the only vehicles in this game. Even base turrets count as vehicles, and Prowler excels vs targets smaller than itself.
Prowler DPS: Damage / (delay between shots + ((reload speed - reload speed bonus) * anchor bonus))
For example (reload 5 anchor 4): 2 * 1250 / (0.5 + ((2.5 - 0.5) * 0.52)) = 1623
If you don't trust it feel free to do all the math again, but unless I typed something wrong it should all be correct.

Although I do agree with that, it's irrelevant in this context. That chart shows ideal DPS (scaled), nothing else.
However, at any range besides extremely long, aiming carefully isn't really required with a Prowler because of its high velocity. And even if you do end up missing one shell, with maxed anchor you're still getting 137% of a Vanguard's DPS.
If you're not anchored and you miss one shell, you have 19% less DPS than a Vanguard, however a Vanguard missing one shell doesn't do any damage at all, so you're in a pretty good situation.

AP Prowlers kill slightly less MBTs than AP Vanguards do, but significantly more Lightnings.

Up to you to decide. I personally wouldn't because it only falls 1 damage tier (it's usually not a bad idea on carbines because 2 damage tier fall), but you'll get 12% faster velocity with it, which is better than most guns get.
If you were talking the Trac-5B, I'd say definitely 100%. That thing gets like 25% more velocity, plus has two damage tiers of falloff.
Basically, do you want 12% more velocity for 10% more recoil?
Is prox radar worth it at rank 1 for a prowler, or is the range too short to notice the LA/escape in? I know you had it in your webm's, but have no clue as to what rank. Short on certs, hence my asking.

yes, 30 m radius is already decent. keep your map zoomed in when you're anchored.
the main difference between a prowler and harasser radar is that you won't use it to pick targets, but rather use it defensively. don't look at the map, but keep it zoomed in to pick up the purple/blue blip moving with your peripheral motion. about half the times i've died to C4 was because i forgot to zoom in (the other half was either because i was tired and playing like shit, or laggy cykas).
don't be a cheap nigger and stop at rank 2 or 3, rank 4 is extremely good, considering what you get for 500 certs. do max anchor and get some gun upgrades first though.

NC does have the best starting COF but more bloom so it expands quickly.
High/low burst recoil means high/low First Shot Multiplier. It is more or less like that, NC usually has lower FSRM. TR has higher FSRM but almost no vertical recoil, so high burst low sustained.

Release VS had a light grey for the undermost 'layer' of spandex and various other accents and lighter/more purple than those old renders. Here's a VS engineer a bit after release but before any of the infantry texture changes.
I usually go 2x scope, let friendlies peek corners, and rev them when they die, while basking in shield certs. More of a marksman playstyle, than a run in shooting people playstyle.
I suffer from crippling ADHD and as a result I don't have the patience to wait (in particular if I had a shitty fight and have to wait for the next one), so I go to close combat and sometimes end up dying a lot and then I become frustrated and randomly pull c4 flashes or roadkill enemies with a harasser and then jump out and kill some enemies before dying.
Use shitters around you as your minions. Unless you have insane twitch aim don't engage in CQC, try staying a bit behind HA's/MAXes, T1b is so accurate that you can easily remove heads from 50m. Use flak armour, shield bubble is also very good, but you have to use medkits with it.

Medic works great in close quarters if you have insane aim and you are very fast. Unlike with HA, you have no room for error.
Engicuck works great too if you use a high rpm carbine. However you don't see people touting engis as a secret mlg class because they are not. The same applies to the medic. Just because you can perform well with some class if you are exceptionally skilled doesn't make it good. If you insist on playing as squishies, use LA.

I just like ressing people, healing them with bubble shield and stuff, it's really comfy and i can still perform better as a medic than 99% HA's.
Hahaha no. Miller TR has no good outfits left. INI is ded, RO is ded, and the rest are just pub heroes or vehicle shitters. NC has some, but they compensate their lack of skill with Scat MAXes and airhammers. Tons of outfits full of BR100s though, but most of them not good. VS has VoGu, F0G, CSG and possibly others.

Not at all. Vanu do same damage per shot as TR, and some of their weapons shoot even faster, like the Terminus. They also have the highest FSM but low sustained recoil. TR has medium.
For LMGs this is even less true. TR and VS have the same damage, shoot just as fast, and have the same ammo capacity except the Betelgeuse who has infinite ammo. VS LMGs have less bloom though, because they just have to be better than TR some way or there would be a huge outcry on Reddit.
If the game was really balanced how that chart says, TR default damage profile would be 125/845.

Average score per member tells nothing about skill. It is also affected by membership and heroic boosts. I have seen horrible BR100s with tens of millions over the cap.
If it's the Heavy Cycler, it's a literal downgrade from the Mutilator. Mercy is considered the best because of its smaller cone of fire, but only very slightly lower DPS:

It isn't anymore, but it was for years, so if someone's been playing since release and always running boosts/membership of course their score/SPM is still gonna be through the roof.

When resist shield gets nerfed to 40% resistance, soft point ammo on 143 damage weapons will become much more important. 1667 health divides more evenly than 1818. Headshots to kill won't be the same at all ranges anymore, and one extra bodyshot will be needed at much closer ranges than now. 167 damage NC guns are even more fucked. They will always need one more bullet after 10m (15m with soft point). 143 damage guns will have 23m effective max damage range vs resist heavies, or 27m with soft point.
The Anchor will kill in 5 headshots, or 10 bodyshots up to 15 meters.
The SAW will kill in 5 headshots at any range, or 9 bodyshots up to 42 meters
The MSW-R will kill in 6 headshots, or 12 bodyshots up to 27 meters.
The Orion/Betelgeuse will kill in 6 headshots, or 12 bodyshots up to 23 meters.
Back in the day, you'd see that type of thing constantly- hell, some players even just did nothing but parked their Galaxy at the warpgate, waited a minute for a squad of randoms to get in, then ferry them to an active fight and repeat until shot down.
Sometimes they'd even use voice comms while doing it; more than once I wound up in Gals with the pilots doing their own half-assed and humorous in-flight safety procedures, and playing music was common as well.

So we all know the Orion's ADS movement speed was nerfed, so i believe its only fair that the NC and TR starter LMG's get a ADS movement speed nerf as well.

doesn't work very well with ESF. server usually thinks the c4 is trailing behind the ESF somehow and doesn't register it exploding the right place a lot of the time.
at least that's how it used to be, there were some patch notes about making c4 more reliable against moving vehicles not to long ago IIRC

In my opinion, the best way to do it is to set a goal for yourself. Whenever I'm using a real gun, I try and force myself to get 100 kills per day with it. That's just me however, and with things like the MANA turret I dropped that to 50. By setting goals, it is much easier to feel like you are making progress to 1160.

HOW TO FIX ALL VEHICLE BALANCE FOREVER:
Make every vehicle have a baseline NTU cost and then attachments increase this cost.
It provides another metric with which to balance gear and it allows restrictions to be imparted on a case for case basis.
Want to just get from A to B quickly and cheaply? Well don't worry, a basic flash is just 50 NTUs. 65 if you throw a Kobalt on there.
Want to be a massive fucking dick and drive around on your silent invisible shotgun bike? Fuck you, 200 NTUs.
This same thing can be applied to all vehicles.

An invisible vehicle does have a considerable advantage over a visible one, especially something as fragile as flash and it's rider. Why wouldn't that cost more?
Make the mjolnir cheaper than the rest and you'll see more people using it.
Make lolpods more expensive and you'll see less extended use of them.
People will still use all these things but it'll lessen the ability to chain pull your peak performance vehicle every time.
Why should a burster on a max cost the same as a falcon for example? One is fantastic, one is shit. Make burster maxes cheaper and you'll see more of them in use.

Low graphics look fucking disgusting and don't even increase performance unless your GPU is really old. Disabling shadows and setting particles and flora on low should be enough.
Guise my ping was pretty good (120) even though I was downloading stuff and I thought that I was playing better than usually. Does upload speed affect how you appear to others? My upload is shitty and it was being used too.
I have to finally mess with my settings, currently it's just LOW with textures on ULTRA.
Nice thing about using LOW is that my 980Ti runs in passive mode without fans spinning, so it's completely quiet.
