I've really been enjoying my time playing battlecry shaman. It's a pretty tricky deck to build and navigate. But it has some great moments and winning is satisfying because it does things that your opponent just doesn't expect.

Blizzard only nerfed Undertaker and Patron due to the amount of auto-concedes and ragequitting those decks inspired.

I just believe that those card backs should be available only to the people who played at the season which were given.
If you have the Pandaria card back for example it means that you 're playing the game since it was released. If everyone can get it, it doesn't mean anything.

I think the best solution is to give a cardback someone doesn't have for everytime they hit legend after getting the first legend cardback.

It's just a nice badge of honor thing. It means nothing contextually but it's still something someone can take pride in. Taking that away from people has a lot of negative emotions tied to it. Its part of what killed WoW raiding for a lot of people.

You run more removal than they have threats and you can just push through all their armour with big ass minions, 60 life doesn't mean much when you are doming them for 24 a turn or in the case of grindr mage you just whittle them down while having a massive advantage when the game gets to fatigue.

The reddit that sucks their balls got an interview with the HS devs, who openly said they had cards that statistically speaking didn't need a nerf, or the nerf they did make made little difference. They still nerfed them because players were auto-conceding or quitting the game in those matches.

The cards specifically mentioned are Undertaker, where people auto-conceded if they didn't have an answer.
Mind Control, where new players raged at priests stealing their big shit (leading to the 10 mana nerf)
Warsong Commander, this one they admitted they wanted to nerf but never had an excuse to do so until patron warrior had become such a meme that even casuals were talking about it being OP.

Which also leads into another thing they revealed, they said that there are certain cards in the game they don't like because they allow for playing the game in ways they don't want you to play.
Starving Buzzard and Warsong Commander were two such cards, so they were purposefully made so bad that they have no purpose in the game at present.

Cardbacks are exactly what they are, cosmetic. You get them at rank 20, meaning literally EVERYONE can get them. Locking them behind a "started playing earlier" is a shit excuse.

Outside of the Legend one, the only claim anyone might have to a cardback is "Oh it shows I started playing earlier than someone", whoop dee doo. Just let them buy the darn thing for money. It's nothing in the long run.

Backed up by zero forced C-team meme picks, a killer pedal-to-the-metal aggressive curve, and some hilarious luck with the gorilla discovers and shredder drops, this happened. I don't think a single game lasted to turn 10.

The best part is I wasn't even trying to force an aggressive curve, I was being forced to take the one not-atrocious card every pick all the way until pick 20, at which point I complained to myself that I hadn't seen any staples whatsoever, at which point i realized I could pick a gorilla with clockwork gnome, annoy-o-tron, auto-barber, and clockwork knight. The two shredders and second gorilla came afterwards as if apologizing for an otherwise unassuming draft.

In so many decks I'd say to myself "hold back on backstabbing his early drop, you'll need that to help take down a big, lopsided creature later". Here I did it every single time and it felt ridiculously good.

Yeah, I was surprised at how consistent they were. I got offered Junkbot a couple of times, sure, but when I needed to play something huge next turn, I could rip a Sneed's or a Reaper (that guy who damages adjacent minions), or if I was pushing hard I could simply take like an Auto-Barber or Harvest Golem.

Playing this deck almost made me want to try some kind of constructed mech deck to be honest, but I don't think any of them actually run gorilla. Too slow, probably.

Why does hearthstone feel like a coinflip most of the time? If you curve out you win, if the enemy curves out he wins, and if you both are even you have a somewhat decent game which is maybe 5% of the games.
