Cute and deadly edition
Greymane on the 12th maybe
>where do I find you meme-loving faggots
>What hero should I buy?
Find the ones you enjoy playing and buy those. Don't buy cheap heroes just to get into Hero League, it's not worth rushing into.

>4 stack of try-hard heroes + me
People are getting tired of this game.
Pretty sure it's this shitty meta. Stunlocks into burst isn't fun, and there's little skill involved. QM can't be our savior because people spam meta shit there as well, and we just end up with the same issue. If not, then it just becomes a game of "who rolled the best comp?".
I think it would be more fun to just have everyone pick autoselect and "roll the best comp" for realz
plus some people would get characters theyre not that great with and just imagine the shit show every game. That would shake things up.
even chu8 is tired of this meta.
his job is literally to play heroes for 8+ hours a day and he's done it without getting tired of the game for months until now
yesterday i played a QM where the enemy team was a 5 stack with diablo, tyrande, kael, zagara, and muradin. this game is cancer right now.
Most likely no balance changes with Graymane!
The frequency in which they put out balance changes is fucking pathetic. It has been ever since Alpha, they've dragged their asses so hard. Balance patch one every like 7 weeks? Come on. There is no excuse for that shit.
Hopefully more and more people harass them into putting out changes faster.
nope, i've reported/muted people and been queued right back into a game with them.
and we still cant mute pings from specific players. i'd love to be able to mute some of the saltlords that decide to spend 20 minutes pinging their designated shitter for the game, but apparently thats not conducive to proper teamwork.
It really is atrocious. Look at how often Riot was putting out balance/hero patches when they were really growing their playerbase. They would put something out every two weeks, even if it was just a small balance tweak. Hell, sometimes they would even hotfix certain issues. That Tychus bug of going invisible on Towers of Doom is something that would have made Riot temp ban him. They slowed down their patch cycles eventually, but if you don't want players getting bored you need to shake balance up often enough for a solid meta to not come into existence like it has now.
I'd honestly rather Blizz act like Riot and put out heroes and patches every two weeks even if that meant certain heroes became completely trashcan tier. Hell, right now 31 out of 46 heroes have losing win rates, I can't see how they can make it worse unless they try.
I remember at one point, Riot had even stopped production of new heroes and prioritized everything else.
Honestly, I wish Blizzard would do this. Dumbshits on Reddit keep saying "we need more heroes to change up the meta", but that's far from a solution to fucking -anything-.
Rewind or blink
Remember that your decoy can use your abilities but only if yours are off cooldown. So use decoy first then your other abilities. Might as well get used to using W first because you need to w first at 16 to use the vulnerable.
Your decoy also applies vulnerable and a slow with crippling shot and can use snipe
Seriously how hard can it be just open up notepad and change a few numbers and see what happens. Everything has to be a huge production with blizzard. Like they take pride in taking forever to do anything
Tfw want to play moba
Tfw hots is boring as fuck now
Tfw hate lol
Tfw dota has input delay and shitty art
Tfw HoN just had huge balance patch that changed everything so I can't even be comfy returning
The vulture smurfs and 3 month-long sale was a desperate plea to the community they needed more money. If only we had recognized this sooner so we could buy all the heroes with real money on all our smurfs so we could see the game survive.
Smite is a fun game to enjoy casually, but desu you can't really get any more casual than HotS so I don't know if that's a step up or down
It has some reasonably popular alternate game modes like Arena, Assault, Siege, etc. Its Dota-like mode, Conquest, is probably the worst of the bunch, with poor matchmaking and a really obscure but stale meta.
Smite is a fun game if you play it uber casually, but its Dota-like map is garbage with a meta even more stale than League's
My bad, I was thinking of how people usually complain about spell cast times.
As for the delay on movement, it's pretty much emulating the Warcraft 3 behaviour. I have no idea why would they do such a thing, but they did.
Both teams have tanks so it's balanced
He's perfectly fine, if anything he had his healing buffed. However he's crap compared to Tyrande, Uther or Morales because he doesn't provide stuns or a means of preventing hard burst.
It's all about burst and stuns right now, even in QM. Ancestral Healing can't keep up like Kharazim's Divine Palm can.
But yeah, he's great, it's just that he isn't an overpowered shit.
Maybe because it's harder, or doesn't have as much advertising as the others.
>gorilla warfare artillery
>pull them fukers in account icon
Not exactly sure how blind pick would work but it would be a damn fucking site better than QM is nowadays
>oh boy, tyrael/azmodan/rehgar/nazeebo/chen into a 5-stack with tyrande, muradin and kael'thas for the 70th time today....
So HotS used to be my go to game, I would come back home after a long day, duo queue for a couple of hours and hopefully come out positive in MMR.
What other games are people playing that fill this void? I'm playing old games like KotoR and ready to jump back to playing diablo 3 (2.4) next week.
I really want HotS to succeed because i find Dota to be too much for me despite playing it for so many years.
I know bronzemane is coming out and not optimistic at all.
He picks up really late. He's got insane healing at level 16. At level 1 he's a awful healer, the 9s cooldown on chain heal is painful. And he doesn't have any utility or damage to make up for it.
Fuck no, people would end up treating it like HL anyways.
All they need ot do to fix QM is to separate Warriors/Bruisers, quite possibly Assassin-like Specialists and the odd Specialists like Vikings, Murky, Abathur, and fucking enforce new rules to accomodate that.
swtor is pretty good right now. its not kotor 3, but some of the class stories are fun now that i dont have to do a million bullshit mmo sidequests to keep up in levels.
other than that, i need help too senpai.
i'd rather have blind pick than this mess, but >>127940081 is right. i think there should be a limit on the number of meme heroes allowed on a team. i'm getting really tired of tabbing back into hots when my queue pops and seeing that my team consists of abathur, nova, lunara, hammer, and me.
Warriors are the biggest offender at the moment. As somebody who rarely wants to play any Warrior that isn't Rexxar, it's fucking retarded having to go against Muradin and shit as the only Warrior on each other's teams. Do-able, yes, but it then becomes -too- reliant on the rest of your team to play properly, and it's complete fucking garbage just knowing that he's going to have an infinitely easier time than I am.
So for example if I play as Rehgar and enemy team has Morales we pretty much have to hope he's an awful player or we have no chance to win early game and the game seems to favor early game now after the scaling patch.
>So for example if I play as Rehgar and enemy team has Morales we pretty much have to hope he's an awful player
Blizzard's ok with that being the counterplay to TLV, so yes. At least in that situation you could have just not played Rehgar
thats the shit people are forgetting, first try to find 10 people queuing at the same time anywhere near the same mmr
Then more than a few of them cant be rexxar, murky, nova, zeratul, abathur, hammer, illidan, lunara, brightwing, chogall, gazlow or sylvanas
Yeah, I play Guardian-esque Warriors whenever I feel like it, but generally I don't. Point is, I shouldn't have to completely change my preferences just because they can't do their job.
I mean, they want this game to be more casual and appeal to those who want to play what they simply just WANT to play, and don't want anybody to feel cornered into heroes/roles they don't want to play, right? That's what HL is for if you REALLY want to, yeah? Then they can step on it and fix their QM and general matchmaking bullshit ASAP, which would NOT be hard at all to do.
it's a pity, really
the time between updates takes too long, and recent updates have mixed up things too little
released heroes have little impact and often end up being painfully weak, thus barely changing anything with their presence
i really want to like it but it needs some real improvements throughout
This game has felt like a giant desperate money grab from Blizzard. I mean $10 for skins? AND PEOPLE BUY THEM?! Fuck man.
game will die soon, Blizzard has a hard on for overwatch right now so all resources are going to that.
everything blizzard does they try to charge out the fucking ass for. Look at "skins" in hearthstone
They just cant get away with it here, because they actually have competition
alright. well first off Transformers Universe (TFU for short) was made by Jagex Games Studio, the same people behind RuneScape and FunOrb, the latter of which was left to die without any word on it. Originally said to be a Transformers MMO, they instead went the MOBA route.
There was only two modes, team deathmatch and control points. Games were 4v4, but with no class limits. Your team could be 4 of the same mech if you wanted, and that became highly encouraged later on as balance became worse.
First off, leaver penalties. There wasn't any. People were often so afraid of their KDR being damaged (an ill-advised account stat) that as soon as they felt their 'team' falling behind they'd just leave. Leaver penalties were added for a short while, DC'ers complained and they were removed again.
There was no Versus AI for practice, and the tutorial only showed you the controls, and not any sort of thing useful in PvP combat. The only AI was unrelated enemies (the terrorcons) and only faced either as an idle hub time-passer or as a sole, repetitive PvE mission. Capture points was poorly done and whoever got the first point usually won from momentum. Going as 4 of the same 'ranged assassin' was the ideal strategy, usually Overclock. Team deathmatch, was never balanced as said before. Lose opening skirmish, two people ragequit, 2v4 for the rest of the game. No chance.
'Items' were in the form of consumables craftable outside of the game. They were also buyable with real money, making for what was not direct P2W, but you had a definite advantage over people who did not bother with stat-boosting augments.
>Jagex Games Studio
oh god i am already fearing the worst.
>Your team could be 4 of the same mech if you wanted
this reminds me an awful lot of a certain upcoming game mode. hmm.
the tutorial stuff is something blizz did a lot better in comparison but i can see some similarities already
i fucking hate .cia files
it's a "pushing structures while they have 3 dead is overrated, let's focus on capping our merc camps so their sylvanas can clear them in 2 seconds" episode
I fucking hate being support, it's like being chained to retards and being yanked left and right by their stupidity
but without merc camps, how will you ever win games? When I see the enemy team trying to take a camp, I rush them all solo then ping like crazy once I die, but my teammates are always too retarded to stop them. Fucking noobs.
Now for the main thing. Balance. First off, it was commonly known that many of the younger and more inexperienced players favoured the Autobot side (they wanted to fight alongside Optimus Prime just like in the movies!) while older players (edgy teens) went with the Decepticons. The Decept players were ofc more experienced and usually easily beat Autobot teams. Jagex took this as "Autobots are too weak/Decepts are too strong" and repeatedly nerfed Decepts, despite many of the better players agreeing Autobots had a clear advantage in higher level play.
Speaking of higher level play, matchmaking was awful. Downright awful. It either took ages to find you a game, threw you in a game that was already being stomped (usually your side, you replacing a leaver) or with/against clueless players.
Anyway, balance. Jagex opted to only introduce more and more proficient damage dealers after a while (Post-Flatline and Sparkscape for anyone who played) Sparkscape itself had incredibly high damage and strong AoE healing at the time.
Healers and tanks got nerfed, but damage dealers only got stronger and stronger. Stealthies got introduced, and just like Nova, had the absolute highest sudden burst in the game. Then came Macro and Firebreaker, and all hell broke loose. Both capable of instakilling anything the second their shields dropped, games became 4 Macro vs 4 Firebreaker, or as close to it as possible. Both of them almost directly outclassed other mechs, and were unchanged until the game was shut down after a few months of no meaningful updates apart from one more Auto and Decept.
Basically, it was hyper offence bullshit where unlike HotS, going tank/healer wasn't mandatory or even close to advisable.
The paywall was pretty harsh. Buying a new mech cost an absurd amount of relics (in-game currency buyable with real world money or VERY SLOWLY obtainable in-game) and 3 mechs for each side were locked behind Founder Packs, which cost as much as £400 IIRC. It also just so happened that for a while, one of the £400-pack exclusive ones, Astraea, was a weapon of mass destruction compared to the others, at least until powercreep rendered it obsolete. There was no sell-backs if you decided you didn't like the new mech (no try mode either!) or if it got nerfed a ton a month later. Usually when it wasn't the issue and other things were (see also Conduit, Decepticon's version of Morales who Autobot players were too retarded to focus down.)
Reskins weren't cheap. They cost a ton of relics, and were little more than colour variations, with 'new' skins taking an absurd amount of time to come out due to Jagex's incompetence.
One thing I forgot to mention for ages was Jagex's refusal to potentially think of it as an e-sport if it got popular, which, well, it certainly won't when there's no incentive to git gud.
Anyway, through a combination of the actual MOBA part being shite, absolutely nothing to do (no daily challenges either.) and Jagex being way too slow to act about anything, they eventually announced the shutdown when it became clear they weren't going to make any money off it.
This was all in the space of 2-3 months. And there's a very real chance of the same thing happening to HotS.
Forgot to note they apparently re-imbursed everyone who spent money on founders packs or relics during the shutdown month or so, probably as the full admission of failure.
also for the record I haven't bought anything on either TFU or HotS with real money. Too skeptical of either game's long term existence. That and TFU seemed fun for a while at first but I was never massively impressed with it.
Because it has a small player base to match you around your mmr and give you a team with a support of the other one has one, or no support if the other team doesn't as well as a warrior if one team has one and none of the other team has none.
well that was a lengthy but interesting read
long story short, they tunnel vision'd themselves into this crazy, broken meta and were too dumb to try and spruce up or balance things and only further broke things
they are too afraid of changing up things or releasing remotely strong heroes
if his melee diving burst thing is as good as they said during Blizzcon, he might just fit in perfectly
like a Sonya + Greymane or Diablo + Greymane
super heavy dive oriented comps, might work out
This game has gone straight to shit since chogall and the scaling. It wasnt in a an amazing place before but it is fucked now.
novemeber largest balance change ever, involving every unit in the game
december 1 hero release and small balance patch into 3 weeks of vacation
Assuming the game even fucking survives, is going to be like this every year? No fucking news for all september and october, because they are holding shit back for blizzcon, one month of activity, then a month of vacation, before going back to regular schedule?
honestly think he'll be pretty good
I got to play around with him in try mode a few weeks ago. His autoattacks as worgen are very strong. Both offense + defense mobility. Good sustain too, iirc worgen form didn't use mana.
Once people learn him I think he'll be less then 50%, but higher than 45%. Playable, since it looks like he does indeed do good damage. But at the same time why aren't you just playing Thrall? He's got poke and crazy melee. But he's also got strong self healing where Greymane doesn't get any 'because it'd be too strong' and has a better ult.
Something else is that Greymane will probably be the lowest selling hero since the games launch.
Who wants to spend $10 when lunas whole bundle was $7 and every hero for 6 months has been shit on release
Hard to say how this could effect his winrate
That is how fucked this game is. That retarded shit is at the top of the games reddit page.
Here, go post this shit, and collect your reddit points
Oh did they? We will always have stimpacks....
>he thinks a free to play game will last less than six years
>that split second where you're retreating against tyrande and she lunar blazes your retreat path but you still walk into it like an idiot but are okay with it and accept your fate
Servers cost nothing to maintain. In the event the game does lose development, you can believe the servers will stay up until daily logins are under a hundred, and even then it still probably won't happen if the micro trans are still in.
but not because of money
there was an issue with the eastern server banks that had nothing to do with Heroes of the Storm, it was the server bank guys that fucked up, which is why Blizzard is routing all US East people to the other server banks around the world that world (like ORD01 in fucking latin america)
no word on wtf actually got fucked up in the server banks, but it wasn't Blizzard's fault
Where did they say that? The only thing they've seemed to say on it was this
>as part of some networking changes that our Development team has made
my bad, actually sounds like they dun fucked up their own servers, from the looks of it
just gonna make some changes here and... oh fuck... quick reroute everyone to US8 and ORD1
What you feel is best.
Echo of Heaven, unless you really need Cleanse
Relentless or Spell Shield usually, if you need neither make your best judgement
The one that heals more when more are present or the one that cures roots and what not if you need that
SSS upgrade if you took that, Divine Palm upgrade or Storm Shield if you went Divine Palm.
i have that fuck tagged as so... should i bother reading it first because i feel like i need to read it before reading Chu8's post
Blizzard really should just ban Tyrande outright until they figure out how to balance her. It's annoying to play against a comp built around her not impossible just annoying in solo queue not a problem while on comms and announcing where rotations are heading.
They've just added too many stun heroes, it's not really just tyrande it's the current meta of stun + burst and her vaulnerability contributes to that. Just tone down her trait to have a shorter uptime and nerf vaulnerability in general she would be fine.
If you are playing in low level games anyway Tyrande and the meta is a non issue.
Just saw a zagara use her maw on a merc camp when there were two other teammates helping her take it. In the same game i saw butcher use lamb to the slaghter 1v5 then dive in and die immediately.
>they were only like 100 mmr lower than me
How? The mere fact that i noticed their failures should mean im better than them. Im not the best player in the world but i dont dive 1v5, or use ults on merc camps, why am i lumped in with these retards? Is MMR hell a real thing? I always thought i was where i belonged in terms of mmr but after countless games with that level of retardation im starting to wonder if theres nothing i can do to escape this.
You clearly have not played with the retards i get matched with. You ping danger and they run towards it and die. Any other ping they ignore completely. This is every game, without fail.
I don't think you are allowed to post raf links here, you can try the vg chat ingame, but will probably have to search reddit or twitter
or if you post battletag, someone here could friend you, then send their link
its raynor and sylvanas free plus 3 day stimpack, so its worth looking around to find one, but you do have to be under player level 5
Forced 50/50, and the matchmaking system actually gives you lower MMR players to average out your team's TOTAL MMR to be close to that of the opposing team's MMR, which could very well be 3-4 decently higher medium-high MMR players, with 1-2 lacking, med-low to low MMR players. They think this balances it out, somehow, despite bad players having more of an effect on a game than a great one, because it's so fucking team-based.
They don't know how their own game works.
Playing BHB as LILI
>Thrall holding 12 coins at 17 minutes, game is tied
>passes halfway point and runs right into 4 enemies
>"guys is was trying to turn in
just fuckk my shitt up senpai
Zeratul pretty much have her War 3 kit aside from vengeance doe.
this desu. Dustin needs to pull his head out of his ass, and if he does this game could be really good
>yfw you realize you are the turd that balances the MMR for the top 200
I like lunara, she plays like KT and jaina as a position DPS, cept she is sustained dps. Sure she is weak in the current stunlock meta, but she can kite fairly well, not to mention when you get ult you gain a lot of mobility from jumping over mercs etc, not to mention lv 20 talent on ult, if you took speed on wisp you can send it ahead and jump over it.
Gucci, since you're so curious about my setup, I'll link you my PCpartpicker tomorrow and get a good screenshot of everything.
The two I have now either contain the Mrs. or contraband and I can't put either of those on the internet.
Being able to run everything on Ultra is nice. Makes finding cloaked units super easy.
>tired of getting constant mirror matchups
>play the least picked support in the game
>next matchup is nova zera BW thrall vs nova zera BW thrall
only one unique hero on each side
>Just got Income Tax Return for being a good government goy
>Oh boy, Can't wait to build a new pc and not to worry about dipping to 10fps anymore when BW peek-a-boo's in or when Diablo uses Apocalypse
>Oh right, this is a dead game
maybe next year, when blizzard adds proper multiplayer support
>left clickable enemies
>3+ man Hero League
when is this game coming out of beta again?
This Canadian nigga B-stepping all game vs a /vg/ stack comprised of 4 bronzies and one panda lover we B-step while killing his core. Once again proving you can't fuck with merica
He was playing Chen with my skin combo, too.
I hope he learned his lesson about taking barrel
There is literally nothing wrong with Towers of Doom.
Sub 10min game new meta.
The only constant is blizzards shit teir matchmaking. I have my up and down days but it doesnt matter. I win or lose depending on the quality (or lack of quality) of my teammates. Anyone who says otherwise has not seen my teammates and got thrown into high enough mmr early on so they never have to see the drooling retards.
>5 game losing streak because i keep getting full supp+abathur/murky teams while enemy gets tons of aoe+tanks+great engage
This matchmaking is stupid fucking bullshit and has no fucking regard for teamcomps or even equal experience of teams.
If you've recently won a lot, this is why you're having a loss streak. This happens to everybody, it's how their Forced 50 system works. It seems to purposefully fuck you up with comps or generally terrible players to put you at a disadvantage in hopes of getting you a loss, because you've recently won a bit too much.
Been happening since Beta, it wasn't like this in Alpha, but probably because the player pool was so small, it was like a little community just playing together.
She is too squishy and it doesn't do that much damage. It's not useless, but it's not good and it's only okay with an uther to ds you while it's up so you don't die instantly.
Kerrigan just needs help after the scaling changes.
how the fuck do you counter hammer + morales on BoE, seems like if both are semi competent, you spend so much more effort than is worth to try to take them out of the fight, and if you don't it's autolose
If you don't have like a kael, tyrande or something to be able to range stun her you won't be able to do anything other than just not fight in her siege. Nova destroys her too
>rest of team picks assassins
>one shitter dies every 30 seconds
>inb4 blizz quality matchmaking
your impact on a team is 20% if you are solo queing. If you are good you will climb not over 10 games, or 50 games, but more like 200-300 games. You can also speed it up a little by duo queing. And dont listen to "bwaaa i won 5 games and lost 6 matchmaking is unfair waa" - its total nonsense in terms of statistics
it works, IT WORKS! matchmaking is saved!
>its kind of amazing that people give this much credit to the mm system
>or is that just this games level of player
MMR isn't like, fucking magic. They don't have to literally tell us the 1's and 0's to figure out the idea of how MMR works.
You're worth X points. It takes the 9 people that would create the closest game out of the people in que and groups them up.
The better you are, the more you have to carry. The more you win in a row, the heavier the weight gets until you get a loss.
>mfw I'm the only warrior on team
>mfw I'm stitches, trading against Arthas and Muradin
>mfw I kill nova 3 times
>mfw I kill lone Morales once, assist in 3 other kills
>mfw I pull Murky away from our Tychus while he's in Octo-Grab
>mfw our team didn't lose a single fort on spider tomb
>mfw Tychus pms me and says "thanks for pulling Murky off me
Got one level before I can get that master skin.
hey fami if you want a smooth stutter free gameplay but dont want to use vsync i suggest you limit your frames to 60/whatever your refresh rate is in nvidia inspector, for "some" reason this game stutters like ass when frames dont match refresh rate.
>abathur spams mines in one bush
>ult shitter free week nova
>spit her into bush
I once had a game QM where abathur cloned azmodan every time he could and they pushed one lane with a fuckhuge demon minion army. We lost because we didn't have enough waveclear. I wish more games were interesting like that.
>Raynor insulting everyone in spanish
>Tell him "Tranquilo, payaso"
>Have more deaths with Leoric than him
>absolute useless shitter sylvanas with most deaths on the team says "gg you useless shits" at the end
>whisper her "reported", report her
>he logs in an another account and starts raging at me
>whisper him back "reported"
>get him in my next game
>on the enemy team
H E H E H E
Ok lets look at this mathematically. Everyone has 20% impact on the team. Lets say im contributing that of a 2500 mmr player. My teammates on average contribute 1700 mmr with at least one 500 mmr player per game. That means i would hypothetically be stuck at 1620 mmr forever, unless i get some friends that dont suck.
I have a friend who is decent and he has a brother who is terrible. He knows his brother is terrible yet he brings him into all of our parties and rages when we lose because said brother throws games. Should i ditch them both hotsg?
The player base really suffers from huge egos. Some people genuinely think the only reason they can't move up in rank is because of bad teammates. I'm Rank 1, get on my level. You are the only constant.
Good job, that makes sense. Now all you have to do is prove your teammates on average contribute 1700 mmr with at least one 500 mmr player per game, and this over hundreds of games.
you guys know reporting doesn't do shit
blizzard customer service doesn't even read them if they come from the report button (unless dozens of people have reported their account) If you're seriously being harassed in game, make an official report through the battle.net site. They still probably won't do anything about it, but they will actually read those.
I posted this
This level of retardation is common place in every single one of my matches. Thats my proof of at least 1 500 mmr player per game. 1700 average because thats where my mmr has dropped to. I know i suck but im never as bad as the people on my team.
>got lucky in placements
see, this is how people KNOW you're a shitter
if you WEREN'T a shitter you would know that the placement matches have absolutely no influence on your rank, unless the placement matches are your very first games in HL
for everyone else, the rank was already predetermined by MMR
i won 18 of my 20 placement matches and got rank 25 because my MMR was around 2500
my premade buddy (played ALL placement matches with him) got rank 4 because his MMR was 3k ish
so, carry on being a shitter, thinking LUCK has anything to do with rank
He can work, in the table numbers he dosen't shine at all. But you do the job and no one notices
your stuns and coccoon can obviously swing a teamfight to your favor, you can creep pretty efficiently and you can enable your team to tower dive since the turrets insta target your beetles
Also while your hp is low the ideal strat is to take all the ability damage than you can then E away, allowing the other tank/bruiser and your team to go in
overall for the stunlock meta he is kinda good, getting stunlock yourself means death thanks to your low hp, but your stuns, bodyblock potential and such help alot to keep the cc train. Just never solotank, you can withstand sustain damage but forget about burst (ie popular picks)
>enemy team has already picked: diablo, tyrande, muradin, raynor
>our last pick chooses chen as our only tank
>doesn't even pick the barrel ult
>blames the healer for not keeping him alive
it's one of those "i don't even have a name for this shit" episodes
what bothers me most about this game is that every loss there is always one butthurt faggot on the team who chooses someone as the fall guy and just berates them while our core crumbles.
Why do these people even play if they get that upset at losing a fucking game?
>Lose a game because we all make mistakes
>Abathur on my team tells me to quit game because I forgot about the siege units attacking core
>I check his MMR, turns out he is 3k MMR to my 2.2k MMR
Well, I actually felt a bit hurt now
>enemy team has already picked: diablo, tyrande, muradin, raynor
Did your team somehow lose a bet and let the enemy team pick their 5 first?
How can you not counterpick one of those?
Not in the way people meme about it. If you go on a win streak you're going to get put with better and better people until you can't handle it and you start losing. Once you have a 50% winrate it means you're at your deserved mmr.
So, what do you call trying your best to main heroes that are currently not in the meta so that you can own anyway in the current meta?
Stuff like trying to main Artanis or Uther(Who both have less than 50% Win Rate) and doing your best to achieve a higher than 50% Win Rate in spite of the meta
Being an idiot. Artanis especially gets fucked in the current meta. The only reliable way to kill him after 16 is to stun him and not let him move and hey that's what everyone does.
>being this shit
wew lad i feel sorry, so i will explain
>heal your warrior when he starts losing HP and everyone else is fine
>dive an enemy squishy if you can kill him
>port out and heal any squishy in troble
>if enemy team has melee assassins, stay with your team and punch them when they dive
That or equal levels of retardation. I had a leoric who was our only tank and refused to group up for teamfights and objectives, he just pushed top lane the whole time. So after getting nowhere with him i told the rest of our teammates that we should just follow him and do the wrong thing rather than die constantly doing the right thing. They agreed. Upon the team getting to top lane with leoric he proceeded to try and ditch us by walking through enemy towers, failing that he went afk in spawn. You have no idea what i deal with every game, i could tell countless more stories, those are just from my two most recent games. Its so frequent ive started to expect it going into a game, and try to plan accordingly by playing more warrior to try and lead the team away from throws. It doesnt matter though there is always one. And one bad player can throw a game way harder than a good player can carry.
>winning all game
>suddenly one person gets caught out
>instead of waiting for them to res they start a suicide train going into the enemy 1 by 1
>we lose after people keep resing and trying to initiate 4 or 3 v 5
This seems to happen a lot just fucking wait for everyone to be up
Any reason to play Artanis currently? Is it the glee of having your Purifier beam reactivate and kill everyone on the enemy team?
At least that was what made me smile last game where I would just use my Purifier on the enemy Raynor and I would jump on him with triple strike. The resulting chain Purifier beams tends to kill everyone
Yes and no, normal grab does 3 damage, level 20 "And a shark!" does like 700 dmg, once you learn the trick you go rewind double pufferfish (wich deals like 3k damage around 20) , the best you can do is cleanse the octo target and run away
>tfw when the most fun you can get out of a game is trolling your own team
>solo quick meme
>party with really good Sonya
>next quick meme match that Sonya is on enemy team
>mfw my team beats hers 32 to 7 kills
>mfw abathur took ultimate monstrosity and medic healed it so much it became OP
>lmao abathur got 17 kills with that thing
Maybe blizzard will start banning for troll picks like riot does
He's actually slightly high skill cap. And doesn't work as a solo tank, so people get a bad impression of him. I'd play him more but I feel like I tanked the game if I get put as solo warrior.
Yes that was your only option, i'm talking in general thought, good murky players put the fish in a position when you need some precise clicks to AA the fish instead of murk, and in this situation, every second counts
Tassagod E build is the best
>people chase you from their base to yours
>can't even take 50% of your hp away
>you insta heal, get mov speed and can make fuckin' walls
>meanwhile your team does something actually useful
>>meanwhile your team does something actually useful
DESU I'm having so much fun and shit I'm always super surprised at my shit numbers at the end. Race-Car build is the best build.
Your numbers depend on the plasma leech talent at 4 and if you have some aa heroes really, only thing that matters is that sweet 0 death count,
for the shit it gets this game has some fun supports
Specialists in HL in general as kind of bleh. Murky in particular is bad due to his primary ability in teamfights (Octograb) being countered by Cleanse (very common on healers).
Brightwing was nerfed was nerfed really badly and since then people assume she's terrible. Which she isn't but she's not great.
People get mad at all kinds of shit.
Is the best way to play nova just roam around the map stealthed looking for overextended/weakened enemy heroes and sniping them?
Because that's what I do, which honestly is pretty damn fun, but I'm really not contributing much in terms of siege damage
You only siege contribution should be to a core getting destroyed or a very low hp fort with orbital strike, nova's job is what you just described. Problem is in this game she is kinda niche, early game kills "help", but don't have as much impact as in late game (1 minute out of the fight) since people stay grouped a lot more when EXP soaking is not as important
if my team picks 3 squishies first and they pick double tank, we're at a disadvantage right? I must have like a 20% win rate in those scenarios because we have to fill with tank+support and we end up always losing on the frontline side
>can turn Archon by himself
>can turn back to Protoss afterwards
turning Archon was the ultimate sacrifice of 2 Protoss, who would merge permanently to become a physical manifestation of a vortex of pure energy
it wasn't "let's just go super saiyan for 12 seconds"
would make snes if it was permanent but made you a glass cannon, or at least like illidan's permanent morph at 20, but then again it used to be a dark archon before and it destroyed you from the other side of the map
pretty much this
People say that a lot, but honestly, the game is fine. It's not going anywhere. It's just been boring recently because of the shitty meta and the lack of any significant balance changes regarding it. Once it gets fixed (sounds like it'll happen in the next few weeks), things will probably pick up again.
Bob ross fan club is probably the best team in NA after C9. It's composed of 5 of the best players in NA. They've only been around for a few months, but I don't expect them to lose to pretty much anyone but C9 this tournament.
I don't know anything about the new tempo storm. They just recently finalized their new roster after the shitfest their team went through before blizzcon. I'd be surprised if they beat BRFC, though.
>pick the regen increase per orb collected
>end the game with 110hp/sec
Was fun baiting people after going down to 1 hp and getting that big shield. Would regen like half of the shield amount before it ended and then use D
Funyuns killed tempo storm. RIP.
They used to be the best, but then they had some super fucking intense team drama and like 3 or 4 guys left the team.
The Funyuns incident in particular marked the beginning of the end for them. Zuna had bought a bag of funyuns and someone else stole and ate them. After he noticed the bag was missing, he asked everyone else in the house, but no one would own up to it. He even stated that it wasn't a problem if someone ate his food, he just wanted them to ask first. From then on it just went downhill and no one wanted to be on the team anymore.
Also the fucking sluggish wait for the blizzcon announced heroes.. at least imo i'm not intrested in any of them even if they were god tier in terms of gameplay / kit, i just want to see whats next, and if that leak that goes around is true the only thing that i'm remotely intrested in is Li-Ming and Samuro
Only if you go with the patented Suicide-atul build, you'll kill people in the
blinkof an eye, guaranteed 2 seconds or less
>play HL, garbage premade on my team
>wait 15 minutes to not get the same garbage premade in my next game
>they're on my team
>they choose the same heroes
>they both have under 10 wins on them in HL
there is no right answer, is there?
>tfw people trash talk you over your talent choice
i picked vamp strike instead of focused attack on raynor on infernal shrines because i wanted self sustain on the skeletons and tyrande was solo support, were they right? am i retarded?
tyrande solo support is really awful, so that was a not so bad talent choice imo
meta-babies think there is only ONE acceptable build for every hero and you should follow it 100% of the time
tyrande solo heal is pretty damn awful until level 7 (battle momentul, debatable) or level 10 (shadowstalk) + 13 (overflowing light) compared to other supports
yes she's fine as solo heal in mid late game, not early game
>playing in my first hero league game
>team needs a tank
>pick my most confident hero (Arthas)
>whole team starts shitting on me for my pick
>get ping spammed the entire match
>end of the match everyone whispers me "reported"
I had 3 kills and 1 death that game, I didn't make any game deciding mistakes. Why were they so mean to me?
who gives a fuck? before level 10/13 your team must be mentally handicapped if they don't burst down and kill at least 1 target as soon as the teamfight starts
if you have a gank squad roaming they should be 4v5 when the objective is up anyway
>the character who is most responsible for the extreme stun+burst meta is bad because they don't have enough tools to deal with the stun+burst meta
not following your logic
Because you wanted to play a fun, ballin' as fuck Warrior and not the typical meta game pussy shit.
Not your fault they can't handle a real pimp. But really it's just because you didn't pick whatever is popular. That's become a thing now. HL is pure trash and I've always maintained that it always has been, for various reasons.
It's all good though man, you didn't do anything wrong.
until you reach rank 1-5 and even then, team composition rarely, rarely ever matters unless you go for something retarded like 5 assassins
people who bitch about picks at rank 40 are clueless, pay no head
Vamp strike on Raynor is generally shit because if you want to go for a more survival build you should just take "Give me more" and "Fight or Flight". That's just the way it plays out because on the level 4 tier "Focused Attack" is by far the strongest talent while on level 1 and 7 the other, more popular choices are only mildly superior, if at all.
because they're insecure dunning-kruger manchildren. dont worry about it, anon. especially in HL, people are cunts for no reason. you're not their therapist. just mute/report them and hope your next teammates will be mentally stable, well-adjusted individuals.
if you can keep up with the conversation, we're talking about her healing, bronzelords
only the bronziest players pick her for her healing, you only pick tyrande for her utility
fotm shitters, I swear
her healing is fine after the shadowstalk buff. obviously she puts out less healing numbers than morales, but comparing numbers in a vacuum is 100% pointless. if tyrande didn't put out worthwhile healing she wouldn't be such a frequent solo support at top tier play, but she is.
yeah, it was from that scene, but somebody made a little image with it
tried drawing how it roughly looked like with my mouse
maybe somebody recognises it?
>2 people spam retreat on sonya sitting in a bush doing nothing
>owl reveals enemy team coming straight for her
>she doesn't budge
>we decide to start the teamfight anyway
we really shouldn't have, fuck that retarded bitch
>she gets called out for being a retard
>"i could have just ran away"
>she couldn't "just" run away with the full support of her team
fuck HL, man
this game is pure memes if you wanna get high rank you pretty much play the same charcters over and over
i saw this one guy who was rank 5 and his only two lvl 10s where jain and kt
>our uther is late to the teamfight for the second time
>point it out in jest saying "Glad you could make it, Uther"
>he replies with "stfu bro"
Man, kids those days don't even know their classics
>be bronze shitter
>pick non-meta hero i enjoy and win
>pick meta hero i play poorly and lose
>random HL scrubs would rather win the draft and lose the match
is there a less retarded MOBA playerbase somewhere?
shortest game i've ever played on this dumb map
How does a Sonya main lose so badly to a guy with less than 20 Sonya games played?
Even so, you'd expect the guy with 200+ games played to not feed at least.
Enjoying your dead game and the infestation of subhuman furry trash from the WoW general, faggots?
now that you mention it there is some serious lack of li li posting here recently
I keep seeing people say this, but I rarely see any explanation for it. Uther always felt way easier to play well than Rehgar, Kharazim, Tassadar, Brightwing and Medic. I can't think of any mechanical skill Uther requires that isn't also needed for most other supports.
because a typical uther build looks like this
with 4 extra skills on the "1-5" bar with the option of a 5th with storm shield. Things can get hectic in a team fight to get your maximum potential of all the extra abilities.
Uther is a play maker support, using DS at the correct time is hard to do. He has the most active abilities of other supports, he has a skill shot heal, and his other heal is on a long CD making it important to use it at key times instead of spamming it. The only people who really take advantage of Uther are high level players.
They are a dime a dozen. I dont remember his name, i dont even take note anymore because shitters of that calibur are in every one of my games. Down to the depths of mmr hell i plunge.
I don't see a lot of abilities as being more difficult.
None of the abilities are even complex to use, so it really just gives you an answer to everything which feels like easy mode.
>team fight starts
>shield target taking damage
>cleanse target stunned
>shrink ray dps
>use benediction properly
>all while healing your team and using your heroic appropriately
>and your melee ranged stun
Yeah, I know but I'll wait until it's translate.
There's like six of them out in Chinese iirc.
I'm actually sincerely curious, and since this isn't a starcraft general I might not get an actual answer, but why do people like Kerrigan?
Starcraft's lore is pretty fucking awful to start with, but she's basically the definition of sexist misogynistic writing, and her strongest development as a character is titled "Queen of Blades" because "I don't know, we just thought it sounded cool" (literally, that isn't a joke, that is a real thing that Blizzard actually said)
Her gameplay in this game is absolutely awful barebone "combo assassin" gameplay. How does anyone even remotely like her in any sense of the word?
Mainly personality/writing wise, but even gameplay wise.
Either is fine.
