so im level 10 and want to start jungling, as that was my main role in smite. how important are runes and masteries? when should I start buying runes and what runes are the most useful in general?

Any ideas as to how the preseason elo works? I've fallen from plat V to silver III by thinking that the games didn't matter and now I'm kinda scared.

you're gonna have a hard time with no runes depending on the champ you pick

i recommend you start learning jg with fiddlestick and warwick, as both have lots of sustain
maybe even shaco, but you'll have to study a bit before pick him

i started buying my runes around lv 20, your talents are free so you could start using them already

my recommendation for generic cheap runes:

page 1:
9x yellow +1 armor
9x blue +1.34 magic resist
3x attack speed quints
9x red +0.95 attack damage

2nd page:
9x yellow +1 armor
9x blue +1.34 magic resist
3x +4.95 ability power quints
9x red +0.87 magic pen

use the first for AD champs and the second for AP champs

I would wait til you at least have one or two quint slots unlocked and filled in rune page, and your keystone, jungling at low account levels is fucking retarded. It has so much artificial difficulty because runes and masteries are all about early game.

If you try to jungle without them you'll have terrible backs that will kill your early game pressure and force you into bad habits with your clear pathing, counterjungling and ganks.

Imho play the jungle champs you want to learn in lane until you're at least level 20ish, that way you get to learn the champion mechanics without dying to red buff level 2

Lw got nerfed to almost shit tier,on paper its really shitty unless the enemy team has 2 people building armor since they made it so it only penetrates bonus armor, void staff stat wise is still one of the best items for maximizing AP damage,but the combine price gor jacked up to 1.3k so its a pretty poor mid game buy but its still a strong item.

I've transitioned to playing Poppy jungle. The state of top lane disgusts me. Trundles, Dr.Mundos, Malphites, Shens. All stuff that results in brainless farming because none of these can kill Gnar, but Gnar can't kill them because not enough damage.
