I based the translation on the existing partial UI/menu translation to save myself some work and stuck to their naming conventions. An'neriy wouldn't have been my first choice either, but it also didn't bother me enough to go back and change it in all the other places.

I have some prior experience translating from moon, and am decent at reading it, so it's not exactly a revised machine translation, but it's certainly not amazing literature either. This is something I'm working to improve on for my next translation.

I'm about halfway done with RJ136535, their sentai-like game. The CGs aren't as good but I liked the premise a lot and I needed to cleanse my palate from the fantasy genre for a bit.

This might just be my personal preference towards Dark Souls-type games but I do think Ryona provides a more interesting challenge.

VH is downright broken in how much you can abuse the game's fighting mechanics to the point you can do a speedrun of the game without dying once if you wanted to with relative ease.

RyonaRPG is by comparison much more unforgiving (even without the ocassional bullshit trap) but also much more rewarding as you can actually never die in the game if you are careful but at the same time mistakes on your part are not ever forgiven by the game.
It's something that's unusual in such a game and you aren't even "rewarded" as some other hentai games do for just randomly dying in the middle of nowhere (though admittedly that's a thing VH does correctly aswell) but for trying to advance the game and only having that happen at boss encounters.


Admittedly though, being a sandbox with several dozen heroines also means it doesn't have a focused story like VH has which I can understand why people who don't care as much for gameplay would rank higher but I am not as invested if one of the characters suddenly is defeated just because the plot demands it rather than me fucking up as a player.

In order to get to the Black Christmas content you gotta not have the Zombie Girl following you as by then you're literally on her route and the other major part I didn't notice was that in the area after draining the sewer water, there's a different sequence of events than just beating a big Zombie and escaping with the game ending. Instead you fight a bunch of Zombies and enter a new area leading into the new content.

The different event thing wasn't there before in the last bunch of 27 days versions of the game so that shit really threw me off.
