>placing my sign down in the iron keep bridge
>powerstanced straight swords
>host bows with me and we start fighting
>he starts keeping his distance from my straight swords
>pull out the grand lance
>immediately do the sprint attack and get the full combo
>host suddenly runs away and chugs
I was thinking that it was just one random shitter doing this but it happened in the next fight over too with a completely other host. What the hell is up with the bridge nowadays?
Is DaS1 online alive?
Just finished up everything i can do in BB other than infinitely grinding root chalices and was thinking of giving DaS on pc a spin having played it on PS3 many years ago
What, healing? keep a greathammer so you can flatten them for trying to sippy or just backstab them, estus doesn't heal THAT fast.
if they get far enough away to sippy it's your own fault
>tfw can't recreate my favorite builds from DS1 in DS2 because all the armors are trash
>Going through the Frigid Outskirts with a blizzard going full force
Yea, I know, both times I just sent the lance up their ass. I'm just surprised at the concentration of players who can't adapt to situations and instead just heal in the duel.
What's a good loadout for some Indiana Jones cosplay in SotFS? Asked last thread and got this (hard to quote on mobile):
>whip is non optional. maybe a quick offhand crossbow for a "gun". hunters hat or whatever it’s called. i can’t think of a proper chest piece.
Any more suggestions?
>spend all day fighting ruin sentinel
>finally beat them with the grand lance
i feel so fucking good
is this video games?
First petrifying statues with spin2win clubbers, untouchable ranged casters with high projectile resistance, and now horses that buttfuck you in blinding blizzard.
Man, this shit is cancerous. And I thought Silver Knights with Dragonslaying Aveylns would have been bad.
Okay, I'm in Anor Londo trying to get summoned for Ornstein and Smough, but keep getting invaded by "Aged Knight", by the name I assume it's an NPC, but this fucker is laggy as shit, walking through my body and generally being a cunt. Did they program in being an asshole, or is this just some dick?
Unless they changed something then you should still be able to since some people were getting banned after picking up items awhile back
More poise is always better, but it doesn't last long
So /dsg/ I've never used greatshields before, and the idea of a greatboard and sword/hand axe seems fun. Which Souls does greatshields better? DaS2 does have variety so what does DaS1 have?
Drangliec is the best DEF you're gonna get for a while
also - Fashion > stats
if you're good you wont need the defense or poise, and defense is not very useful in PVE at all. Try getting your equip load around 25% as well so you roll farther and your stamina regens faster.
alright, i'll just stick with wanderer because muh fashion, thanks anon
What do I need to change for this build?
Anybody up for a DS1 FC?
My SL is 115. Place your signs, boys.
This. Armor's only good if you plan on taking hits with your face. The only fights I can recommend armor on are skeleton lords and chariot since you're far more likely to get punched in those fights for micro damage.
It does but I dont like the whip moveset compared to manslayer (uchigatanas) and if someone gets in my face with the whip it's basically over. And Luna is pretty close quarters.
what is the revelation in anor londo
is it a gargoyle
>tfw using VoS on mage players
It's never been more fun to see another player squirm in confusion.
>Just broke over 5million SM
It's all downhill from here isn't it?
No. You just need a fragrant branch of yore. In Sotfs Melentia sells one
I was playing sotfs blind and I learned about it too late. No matter, I can always reroll another character with magic or something
No it's after you get a Yore Branch. AKA you could go there like right after you meet the first merchant in SotfS IRC and buy here branch for 12k. Then make your way through shaded woods etc.
Ahh gotcha, it's all good familia
Anyone interested in runninig a Co-op run? I did it once on PS3 vanilla with a friend from minnasota. Was a lot of fun. Could be even sillier in the DLC zones
Yeah, I went through the Steam discussions and it seems that the average seems to hover at around early 50s or late 40s. The median seems to be in the 50s.
I always hesitate in leveling up that far because I'm worried that I'm going to overshoot by accident. Better than staying at SL that's so low it's completely ignored, I guess.
Do people still use the Colosseum in DaS1? I just found out it existed on my first playthrough of the DLC, I've known the township was a popular pvp spot and have seen vids/posts with it, but never any mention of the colosseum. Why don't people seem to use it as much?
I found my first ever sucker in Oolicile the other day trying to actually get through the level instead of camping the bonfire, he ran down the stairs but I stopped chasing him and then did an instakill plunge attack from above.
I think sorc starts with less of the "useless" stats, but cleric starts with higher fth/int. If you want to be optimal it's probably better to start sorc, but if you want to get into it quicker go with cleric.
anyone can help me beat Dear Freja?
Scholar of First Sin
SM 761599 Zinder
It's just that my main weapon is the bandit axe and I have some trouble hitting her head with it, Manhunter O'Harrah goes full retard with the little spiders and isn't reliable to throw her greatarrows in freja's face.
it's also been ages since I last saw a summon sign of a real person, What happened? did everyone just stick to fight clubs in higher SMs? Or is just me and my shitty connection?
Resins are objectively superior to buffs because they're just as strong as them and require no stat investment, but they'll bloat your Soul Memory to fuck if you keep buying them and you wanna use the Agape Ring.
If you're playing a magic build, get the buff spells instead.
>get invaded the second I respawn at a bonfire, or the moment I return from co-op.
This keeps happening.
Why did Dark Souls 2 make it where you can still be invaded while hollow? It was pretty clear cut in DS1. Why change it?
if you use a ring I think we might be able to play together. I'll be around the area for a while more then if you're up for trying.
Dark Souls 2 covenants are pretty shit compared to Dark Souls 1.
Just look at the rank requirements for Blue Sentinels and Brotherhood of Blood. Some of the covenants are pretty good (if not better than DS1's), but a lot of them are utter trash.
Being vulnerable to invasion while Hollowed is pretty annoying. That's why the devs completely overcompensated by allowing you to burn effigies to lock out human invaders entirely.
They honestly shouldn't have fucked with it at all. In their attempt to balance out the fact that Hollows can be invaded, they completely ruined a lot of invasion mechanics.
Weapon buffs have a multiplier for elemental damage. They are more for magic builds since elemental damage scales with caster stats now.
It's not as OP as you'd think because elemental weapons usually have B/C scaling so it kinda balances out against A/S scaling str/dex weapons.
Is this the most incorrect post of this thread so far?
DaS1 covenants were fucking SHIT outside of getting PvP items like Full Orbs or buffs like DMB. They did absolutely nothing else of merit.
No special dueling zones like Bloodfags and Bluebros have, the only tangible PvE benefits were saving Solaire after spending an entire hour giving the spider waifu humanity one at a time too.
Say what you want about DaS2 but at least it had more actual content and variety, and covenants were actually useful.
Fume Ultra Greatsword or Fume Sword
Brotherhood of Blood is an absolute joke and is largely responsible for ruining invasions. Why they turned red eye orbs into farmable items instead of something you just earn is beyond me.
You can't seriously tell me that Brotherhood of Blood improved invasions for Dark Souls 2. Either you tediously grind through a bunch of mindless tournament fights to farm orbs or you have to go through that ridiculous process of farming those stupid pigs.
I guess my game is cursed, or we're apart for 30k in SM or something like that.
>Have to get giant souls to make Vendrick actually notice me
>Remember the last one is by killing Ancient Dragon
Wish me luck /dsg/
What are you talking about? They are weapons of justice.
> hacker invades in Dark Souls 1 (no invasion method, isn't taking damage from the environment, etc)
> he's too fucking stupid to reach me
> ctrl-alt-del the game off after 5 minutes
If a hacker invades and kills me, that's one thing. If he just wants to waste my time because he's too stupid to get near me, that's just fucking obnoxious.
When you go between the toes of the hind legs, he doesn't do the flying flames. He still does the reverse flames but you won't be hit when you're between the toes. Only thing you need to do is to walk away from the stomping attack.
Pretty sure I tried that a few times and he still did the flying attack.
Fire Gyrm shield is the easiest method there is. Not exactly the most MLG skills though, but the boss is bed of chaos tier shit.
Mine doesn't crash, just that it minimizes randomly when you try to fullscreen it. Seems to be caused by some desktop streaming software or something, could be Steam itself, idk. I just play in window mode.
You can bone out of boss fights? Never knew that.
It honestly doesn't make hackers like those any less annoying. Or even invaders. Those kind of people just waste your fucking time instead of even killing you.
I'd honestly just hard quit out of the game whenever I notice invaders like those instead of taking the extra minute to get to the fog gate. Fuck those stupid cunts.
>almost two hours ago
Nigga I've been gone. I'm working on the Martyr Logarius cosplay.
/dsg/, suggest me a playthrough for vanilla ds2 or ds1. I don't have any DLC right now, but I've beaten both games more ways than I can count. What are some fun weapon types or playstyles I might have missed?
Done SL1, sorc/pyro/hex/miracle only (one at a time ofc), consumables only, etc, pls advise
Have you played the game before? I dont mean to call you dumb, but is your computer compatible with DX11? I bought the game and my computer isn't, so it sits in my steam account with 5 minutes played.
in be4 >nexusmods
You can manually install the mod and follow the readme directions instead of putting up with the Nexus manager program. DSfix gives you all sorts of deeper options on how to to customise settings for your rig/toaster.
Don't unlock the FPS though. At best, it crashes your game.
>host with 20 characters in his name summons me
>doesn't crash my game when I come in
>put my name to 15 characters
>get so summonings or invasions
I guess I'm just crashing everyone's games. This shit just ain't fair.
I havent played DS1 in months
Gimme a nifty build or I'm just gonna do what I always do and try and build one around another game character
This time it's Undertale, I'm thinking Undyne spear build or Chara straight sword.
Does anyone have that website for fashion souls stuff, that shows all the models of equipment? Someone mentioned it at some point in the last few threads, I think. Need inspiration for my whip run
nope, been pvping fine just not right now for some reason
you haven't because I haven't been invaded yet, I was just getting invades on das2 so idk ill wait a bit longer tho
What is the most rewarding and builds you've played in DS2, friends?
Due to my inability to commit, I've only beaten the game twice (once with a pretty straightforward strength-faith and then a more complete run with all the crowns as a pure dex character. For some reason intelligence looked a little boring compared to DS1).
Any cool cosplay builds? Is being a melee hybrid dark build viable in a PVP setting?
Back when binoboost was still a thing
and offhand parrying dagger just in case
she's got a red ponytail and a black circle tattoo over her eye cuz im a fag
it could probably be better, i considered the grand lance, but i def dont want to use a shield
and then i had a Frisk build but that just turned into an Artorias build with the majestic Greatsword
I dunno what sword I'd use for Chara. maybe a black knight sword or drakekeepers sword, or drakeblood sword
>Not buying into the BKH DaS1 hype
>Trying it out on Gaping
>300 a hit with a +0 BKH vs 150 with +7 Battle Axe
>Try it on Prowling Demon
>Even higher discrepancy
It really can carry an entire playthrough, at least before Anor Londo.
let's just say I can edit enemy, weapon, and armor stats, for the sake of argument
I can't add anything but I can make changes to existing objects
Let me preface by saying I wouldn't use a balance mod, but itd be nice to see some of the less good weapons be brought up to BKH levels of stupid power, I like movesets of lots of weapons but if I'm just playing super casually i hate everything that has subpar damage
>Loyce GS 2H R2
And that's when I get it all the twinklings I had
DX11 is only used in Scholar of the First Sin, not in Dark Souls: Prepare to Die or vanilla Dark Souls II PC release. If your computer cant run SotFS, then it's probably not compatible with DX11.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I just got DaS 2 SotFS on Steam and I'm getting stomped so easily it makes me rage.
I never had this on DaS or BB, I don't know what the fuck I'm not getting
Use dxdiag. Search it on the start menu, go to the "Display" tab on the top. Under drivers on the right side of the window, there should be a line "Feature Levels:" with a list of numbers. If 11 isn't there, then you're outtaluck when it comes to SotFS.
Luckily, Steam lets you get refunds if you have less than, I think, an hour of play as long as the game was bought wirthin, i think, 30 days. Good luck m8
A lot of the combat mechanics are different in DS2. It mgiht take a bit to adjust. You can level ADP (Adaptability) to increase your Agility stat, which increase I-Frames of your rolls at certain breakpoints.
They nerfed the powerstance L1 in an attempt to fix the rollpunching glitch, except that it didn't even get fucking fixed and it just nerfed the moveset instead.
The Caestus has the same problem but at least they're much easier to acquire than the Vanq Seal and they're perfectly fine for PvE until you get the Bone Fists.
>tfw i killed Dragonrider in 6 attacks
Am I overleveled as fuck, or is the boss just super easy?
It feels like both my block AND dodge are shit, while being unable to interrupt anything with attacks
I usually like playing heavy shield characters, should I just dump into END?
What's the best infusion for shields for Dark Souls PVP?
Shield remain largely the shame, but I feel as though you're significantly slower to initiate blocks and attacks in general for DaS2. It's annoying as fuck to jump into DaS2 after doing some runs in DaS1.
Yeah, avoid infusions and simply stick with shields that already have high elemental resistance.
Dragon Crest Shield for fire attacks
Crest Shield for magic attacks
Granted, high elemental resistant shields tend to have less stability than pure physical shields.
>Dragon Crest for Fire
The Black Knight shield has 95% fire resist and iirc is only slightly below the Silver Knight shield's stability (which is the highest for any medium shield), use that.
these guys have an absurdly rare grab attack too, couldnt get them to do it again for a better recording
its hitbox is like the mimic, bullshit, it grabbed me from behind it
>need souls to buy cracked eye orbs to pvp
>make agape ring so people stop leveling SM for pvp purpose
>if you use agape ring you can't buy cracked eye orbs, meaning you can't pvp
>DaS 3 will be direct X 11
>to much of a poorfag college NEET to have the money to upgrade computer.
>tfw no-mans wharf
i feel so lost
i see this ship just taunting me in the distance
Anyone here remember the spelunking days back when Sunken King was released and the wizards foudn a way to get in early? Everyone was running around exploring
Hope we get some of that again when DS3's out
good areas: Anor Londo, Duke's Archives, Painted World
average to mediocre areas: everything else
resign from your job and remove yourself from the industry areas: Izalith, Demon Ruins, Blighttown
Tomb of the Giants is great, you're just bad at the game
>tfw I got through
what's a better weapon early game
chaos rapier or battle axe? plan to get to the BKGS/UGS and start using one of those two, but those are basically a lord soul away
on another note, if I do a cosplay of this feg, what helmet in DaS2 best fits his? I was thinking Vengarl's, but it basically means wearing a White Ring all game
>watched a dark souls 2 playthrough when it came out
>forgot about almost anything
>only thing i remember is the chariot
>realize im in that area
reminder that if this isn't fixed, pvp will be fucked and worse than bloodborne
Some are youtube videos, the one sided conversation was me on skype with a friend and OBS didn't capture my voice
by the way, recording that video got my main account softbanned because I used OBS's game capture
Do all of the DaS2 DLC sit around the same difficulty level or will they get progressively harder?
I just finished the sunken king one for the first time and I'm moving onto iron king.
So,never knew this body was here. It is a large titanite shard. Learned something new today
doesn't mean you can't like it how it is
could it have been better if it wasn't half-assed or unfinished? sure
but it's still alright
much like fallout 4
which i am still very angry about
Hi guys, got halfway through whip run and got bored as fuck. Anyone got a suggestion for a Dark Souls 2 playthrough? I've done:
SL1, Miracles only, Pyro only, Hexes Only, Sorcery Only, Whip only, and Consumables only. I'll try whatever you guys throw at me, as long as it's feasible to just pick up from the get go (ie dont tell me to only use, like, key to the embedded)
Anything with decent base damage will be good Enchanted.
Meaning claymore, man-serpent, zwei, large club. Not straight swords, rapiers, katanas.
The higher the split damage, the better. At very high base AR like with the Greataxe, it can be better than physical.
Enchanted is the strongest element path in the game with 50 INT and you can easily get a +4 Enchanted weapon without killing a single boss.
Aside from that, Moonlight Greatsword and Moonlight Butterfly Horn. The horn is a godsend: low requirements, long range, decent magic damage, can be made immediately from the lightning spear.
Velka's can be useful for backstabs
Channeler's Trident is.. okay, but really it's only worth using if you luck out and get one in the Parish / Depths.
this is probably a real dumb question, but will i need to switch from the grand lance at some point, or can i use it for my entire run?
Any of you niggas got a spare catarina chest piece? Got name engrave ring and sit at 466K SM on SOTFS PC
Maybe don't swing every time when they expect it.
2H against passive players and use animation cancels. The rolling attack is your best friend to punish panic rolls. Do some spin2wins if you notice them rolling into you.
1H against aggressive players and use your shield. You can attack and backstep while blocking. Only the 1H rolling attack is bad.
Yeah, I've tried that before, and it sucks. Granted, it was ng+3 when I did it, but pairing a weapon that kills yourself if you don't pace yourself on a dps-fest boss is a REALLY bad idea. Get a greatscythe so you don't fuck yourself over.
Unless its pyromancy, spells are too low dps for 4kings. Just get a decent weapon, as much stamona regen as you can muster. Both your other weapons seem really bad for this fight, but they might do if its just ng
i'm new to souls games and just started Sotfs.
I dont get the weapon system... So i can use any weapon regardless of the str or agi it requieres and all it does is some lower dmg?
>Finally beat Sotfs
>Go to op to download the ost
any recommendations if I'm playing as a pyromancer and using it? it doesn't use up too much stamina, does it? it definitely feels a lot different to the GOAT claymore in DaS1
I'm guessing something like minimum required stats and then +10 fire?
You could. But you would find it totally ineffective for a solid third of the game. Especially in the DLC. It's not a heavy stamina user but you'll still want tons of stamina for rolling etc
ice dlc area
I can't figure out where I should go to. Everything is frozen, can't open anything. I got a key or whatever from an altar. Killed a giant cat. Found the last bonefire. Still missing from the previous bonefire 2/4 but what the fuck. I just keep walking in circles now.
which weapon in scholar looks the closest to the Dark sword? i feel like doing some classic darkwraith invasions
Where2 put summon sign to help people at SL 1.8Mil?
After a couple hundred years you would think she would change her clothes and bathe at least once though.
probably Drakekeeper's Sword
Katana Keep and Drangleic Castle
I suggest you put your sign outside Smelter fog gate, helping a newbie through the Keep is extremely frustrating (especially when they fall off)
I don't mind helping retards fight allone knights, if they die I still get to keep my souls anyway. I just figured that Smelter would have slowed down a bunch by this SL.
Could probably get a bunch of NG+ people there though I guess.
most people leave Smelter Demon until they've gotten the four Lord Souls now, fuck knows why considering he's one of the easiest bosses in the game once you learn about his AoE
Why do people hate Valley of Defilement and Blighttown so much? They're the most fun areas for me and look nice.
I know epic pathfinding mosquitos are a problem but upper blightown and the entire area on good PCs post 2012 is no problem what so ever.
I like the Gutter too aside from Molerats because it's
It's just an awful time all around. You're put on a clock because you're poisoned, even if you have 99 dark moon grass or 20+7 estus, you're still ticking and it's annoying. The lack of mobility doesn't make it better too, even das knew this and added rusted iron ring to make it less painful.
Fondest memory in PVP with this series has been in Blighttown. Either those gimmicky ninja backstab builds, emulation of the Japanese Greatbow on Upper or silly ugly caveman characters on the lower.
Reminder you can do this with Dark Souls 1 and Demon's Souls and it's really fucking good with a mouse.
Dark Souls 2 disabling vertical aiming unless you use Binocs is a fucking joke.
>Dark Souls 2 disabling vertical aiming unless you use Binocs is a fucking joke.
Holy shit can you stop literally lying for 2 seconds goddamn
You can aim bows without binocs
You can aim corssbows without binocs
You can change where the swing will aim by looking up or down
You can look up and down.
Did you ACTUALLY play the entire game locked on and wondered why you couldn't aim? How did you even do that in areas without enemies?
>gutter is just a dark hallway
that's some grade A bullshit and you know it. the gutter has a lot inteconnectivity. it might not be new londo tier, but it's one of the best areas in ds2 and definitely NOT a hallway
i love blighttown, really thrilling experience. you need a lot of space perception
/cognition? engrish no first rangajbut the mosquitos are retarded in a lot of ways, mainly the hitboxes are much smaller than they should or they can become ethereal at will, since they also pass through walls
the thing about gutter is you just walk to point b with hollows and statues bugging you the whole way
theres no challenge, unless you call fighting the horde of dark sword hollows at the bottom of the pit a challenge, and its an empty area with no boss, just there to waste time and transition
and what are you on about interconnectivity?
theres one way in, the pit in majula, and one way out, black gulch
its not one of the best areas in 2 either, but i hate all the areas of ds2 so i cant judge
You really can't do that in DaS2 and I've played it for like 100 hours over the last two weeks to get cheevos for my epic steam profile to prove I'm a real Darkie.
With weapons and catalysts you can't aim properly and efficiently unless it's a wild extreme without binocs.
Of course you can aim crossbows and bows without binocs rofl.
I still don't get what your retarded ass is trying to say, so I'll just dismiss you as a retard spouting nonsense
>cant vertically aim in DS2
will this become the new
>dudes in armor
>you cant beat DLC bosses with spells
Tryna do a Siegmeyer cosplay, only 'stoble beard' was this one in Ds2, what do you guys think?
for comparison: http://i.imgur.com/BL6LD1C.png
Dark Souls 2 fanboys everyone.
You can aim crossbows without reticle with mouse or if you're a god with a controller because free-aim exists in that game without using binocs.
>need r2 promotion from bell convenant
>the god damn red phantom only spawns every 8 or 9 times
and this? the only other i could find being close to his haircut
>tfw had plenty of time to dodge but was too busy being confused to do it
Bobbed looked terribly unfit, I'd say either this one you mentioned or >>127762809
Great scythe DaS1 dead angling is even funnier when you adjust it a little.
Example of what I mean:
Find a window in both games, have a spear. In DaS1 you can stab every single CM of that window by moving your camera along the motion.
In DaS2 you cannot do this without binocs, you can probably hit the top of the window but you can only aim on an X axis but only extremes on a Y axis.
What are you showing me here?
How's this f.am
Head shot dmg is worth it on them too senpai. I don't lock on so why not put an extra edge I picked up with a year of playing in 2012.
I can't play this game with a controller anymore, it's way too good with aiming your attacks.
sorry, im bad at this, slightly lifted the eyes and lowered the brows to stick close to it
>full giants with greatsword
and smallereyes or just keep it like this it will never be accurate without the pierce shield anyway
Slightly higher and made the eyes as small whilst keeping it humane possible, I think this aint a half as bad
Anyone wanna come over and kill kalameet? Just for fun
SL 85 PC
40str 40dex composite bow with power within.
Great DPS, hard versus shield enemies.
Evil eye ring and hawk/leo ring for enemies as you progress through level.
Red Tearstone ring/leoring/both for bosses.
The recovery is bullshit but I agree, I'm the guy who posted about freeaiming/vertical aiming being shit in DaS2 earlier.
Not connected to any nodes yet but I'm on LAN Europe for Steam settings. If you're not using the LAN [region] for your Steam download you should really do that for DaS as it appears I connect to people faster.
It's fun but spear hollows/silver knights will make you scream unless you bring something that staggers them or run around them.
To bait shield enemies who aren't those you just fight them like you normally would. Composite bow has a good attack animation so you can dodge and fire before they bring shields back up way quicker (and further) than most weapons.
Large arrows are good for bosses but trajectory is shorter. Also your trajectory without hawkring is going to be awful so get used to aiming upwards and a little to the left until then. Don't kill giant blacksmith, just hurt him, get ring and then pardon sins.
can't you just walk around him to get the ring? I don't remember ever having to kill him
anyway I'll do that composite bow run and probably a caestus one after, never did a fist only run either and that was on my mind as well, thanks for the suggestion
Damn you learn something about this game every time you play it.
Done with that because I died on purpose near end when I read this post. Putting sign back down. 7 nodes now.
well I can understand not knowing about this because logically it would make sense needing to kill him to get his ring
plus you open the chest at a weird angle, leads me to believe you weren't supposed to be able to do that, but yeah
p.s. just fucking realised how bad divine and occult are in the DLC holy fuck Artorias and Manus with a fucking rapier with divine was obnoxious years ago.
Great moveset for pve and pvp. Similar to an old Demon's Souls favourite.
Also it's RAREEEEEEE.
does anyone know how to access the scholar of the first sin content and not just the dlc? I just entered the code that came with my copy and got the keys at startup on a new file, ut there was no option to select it like I thought I'd seen in promo stuff.
In the stream next to fog gate. Impossible to miss when it appears.
Fucking Darknight fucking stones fucking drop you pieces of shit
I got my ass kicked by a guy with a key to the embedded.
I thought this thing was useless as a weapon, or I'd be going full watcher/acolyte mask/key sword for ultimate stylin
I'm actually going to believe you, because nobody believed me when I said I beat the first level of duke 3d in 30 seconds.
Fast rolling and having a lot of stamina are all that's important.
When you boot up the game, if you see the "scholar of the first sin" subtitle, then you're already in SotFS with all its content. You have no access to vanilla DaS2 unless you make another installation or something.
I'm in NG +4, getting tired of my Ds2 character. Was running around naked for while with a +10 RIT but I'm looking for something different that's fun and actually decent. Have access to all boss weapons and plenty of dragon bones and twinkling titanite. Any recommendations?
MLGS looks pretty cool desu. Might try it if it's decent. How do I make it work?
>Fighting some guy trying to be honorabru
>He starts using Estus and Lifegems out the ass when he gets low
>He continues losing for about 5 minutes before finally killing me because I don't heal
>Find his faggot Dragon sign again
>Immediately ravage his asshole and as soon as he tries to drink Estus fill him with Poison Throwing Daggers
>Any time he even gets a single hit on me use a lifegem
>Dies like a bitch
Not so fun when it happens to you is it faggot.
anybody got a leo ring to spare? pretty please with sugar and marshmallows and chocolate sprinkles?
it was doing just fine damage
had to go all the way back though and kill ingward to make it +15but for some reason it decided 2 miss 2 stabs on the leg of lion with a spear, and he killed me right as i killed him somehow. and now the leo ring is gone. im legitimately upset about this. tried to quit and reload, but it was fruitless, even if it was possible i had missed the timing because i fucking froze. seriously considering dropping the character after this, unless i find some way to get the ring
>not only pvping with a full poison build character
What's the go to meta build for every souls game?
Check my poison build (I have posted it quite some times already)
>feel like playing SOTFS again for the first time since around its release
>feel like doing a pvp build, i normally don't pvp in these games beyond low level ganking when i have spare creos
So, do I make an agape ring rushed SM39k character, or do I just level up a new main (my old saves are gone, cloud doesn't work?) and get it to 150?
If I do level a new main up to 150, should I equip the agape ring at some point between 2M-4M or similar, or should I keep powergrinding to 25M+?
>make rapier build
>kill Super Ornstein

This is my life.
It used to be good, but speed weapon shitters complained about not doing enough damage, imagine that.
It's only useful for ultra weapons because of hyper armor.
avoid being punished by backstabs
that's what makes pvp in DaS so strict, you can't do alot of funky shit and you need to focus
and if you are good enough you'll be able to not be backstabbed
DaS2 is all about prediction.
You can't even punish ultra weapons with daggers if you play reactive.
Stack poise, go for backstabs, don't swing.
>tfw destroying ugs powerstancers
>Invading player in forest with scary looking armor and weapons
>He gets nervous and starts shooting fireballs
>He's a forest hunter
>He hits his buddies
>All the forest NPCs gank him
>4,172 players current 4,843 players peak today Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition
>6,835 players current 7,967 players peak today DARK SOULS™ II: Scholar of the First Sin
You want a small community, you look at Demon's Souls
100 fucking players during Back to the Nexus. Pathetic.
Is there a mod for Dark Souls 1 that lets me warp to any bonfire? I hate having to run all the way to the forest, or Solaire's Londo bonfire whenever I want to invade.
>4,172 players and you can only connect to 20
>meanwhile consoles play with any and every body
the latest cheatengine table allows you to easily change location, you just have to know the bonfire number
You can turn the nod number to 75 or so , look the readme on the PVP watchdog
>speedrun DaS1 on a STR char
>was a while since I last played but do well
>one-shot pretty much all bosses including O&S
>Remember four kings being easy af, rush to the boss
>die 4 times in a row receiving shittons of damage every time
What the fuck? Did I completely forget something crucial about these guys or something?
