Hey /hsg/ you told me to never craft epic, but I still have a question. I am missing 4 Druid must have epics (You guessed it FoN+AoL) also I am missing last NAX wing. should I craft them, or unbox few more classic packs (wich I plan to anyway) before?I have like 3k dust+3k dust in golden cards(however if I decide to craft all I want I will quickly have 0 even thou I was blessed with legos from packs). Also can I tech Harrison jones instead one loe?
thnx for help
It's nearly the end of the 1st week of the ladder, /hsg/.
Post your rank and what deck your playing and maybe a fun screenshot or meme picture or combined screenshot and meme picture.
he's already pretty good
3 mana taunt that blocks chumps hard and eats hits, the only thing being lost is tempo
but in that early of the game, losing four or less minions for one random minion out of the deck is usually not that worth, especially battlecry minions.
>secret paladin still 60% of ladder
how does hearthstone get away with being so boring
Sometimes this game can be fun.
It's like a card you can play every turn, stats and cost are equal to remaining mana. excuse the shitty name
Rank 6 with demon zoolock. Don't have any pictures but I had a fun game against an aggro shaman today where my voidcaller dropped mal'ganis on turn 5 with 5 little imps on board. The shman just conceded there.
>Combo decks keep letting me dome them with my shitty priest minions since they trust that priest has no real burst while they do emperor turns and shit
>tfw I flash heal the fuck out of them
Spent most of the game waiting to pull the Map/ Monkey, which was the bottom card of my deck. My opponent must have been doing the same, only I had a board presence and he didn't.
this is more interesting.
say you have this and a fireball on turn 9. you can play the card first and get a 9/9 or play fireball and have a 5/5
>make reno control warrior
>"your opponent left" two times in a row
Why did I not try this earlier
i can bet you even rope them you fucking moster.
>tfw crafted a murloc warleader and can't even play
wait time was 4 mins and it just keeps going up, what the fuck is going on?
if all you are going to do is play arena just do that
buying adventures when you spend all your time on arena is pointless
you fell for the brawl trap
blizzard makes these brawls to get people to buy packs or waste dust crafting shitty cards that will only be useful for 5 days
I was drafting half-assedly until I hit a wombo combo of epics and legendaries
I'm having a blast playing my own version of RenoMage but I don't think it'll do very well at ranks where people aren't braindead
>Discover Vaporize off of a Ethereal Conjurer
>Warrior runs a Garrosh into it
>Reno after he pops Ice Block
>Antique Healbot after Alexstraza and Duplicate it
get meme'd on, idiot
How come after getting all the pirates it gave me 6 parrots?
>People complaining about how you need expensive decks to win in constructed
Just play priest decks look like pic related maybe subbing out the flash heals for thoughtsteals or shrinkmeisters. All you really need is 1 legendary and 4 epics (2 each of the 6 drops)
well you only have like 5 proper 2 drops and you're going to need 2 on turn 4 to make up for the lack of 4 drops. So to stall you need to have a 2 drop at turn 2 and 2 2 drops at turn 4 and your 5 drop slot isn't looking good either.
You need to not run into retard paladins with a perfect 1-4 curve and you'll be fine. But next time you should draft more aggressively with hunter
Is Leeroy Jenkins worth running in Patron Warrior, or is he not as good has he sounds on paper?
I practice MMA.
I'd bet my balls I could beat you up.
Of course this is internet and you won't believe me and we will never meet so anything we can say it's useless.
But you are probably one of those wusses who hide behind the computer to pretend to be a man.
you enjoy throwing money out of the window?
>fiddling around with the teleporter thing on the GvG board
>accidentally hits End Turn instead of the red button
How the fuck do I Arena? I'm only getting ~3 wins per run.
I used the Arena helper quite often and I see the best picks while watching the curve.
I'm pretty much always ahead with cards but my enemies always seem to rush me to death while I'm sitting with a full hand. Is aggro the better tactic in Arena?
>Do this to keeper in to minibot in to coghammer
>he still doesnt concede
Dusted Cairne. Do I craft
Or Bloodmage Thalnos?
Already have Tony, Rhoni, Tirion, Jones, Justicar, Sylvanas, Boom, Alex, and Ysera
Im not a huge fan of warlock really.
I thought about Mal'Ganis and Jaraxxus, but I kinda need to have both of them right? I might just wait til next season with my free 400 dust.
[/spoiler] Also gonna buy some packs
caved in and bought 15 pakcs since I don't have any good cards but now wondering if I maybe should have just went with BRM and craft a dragon priest deck instead. fuck man why do I have to buy shit from this game
I don't have the regular versions of anything I hold now since I do as you suggest, but shit like ball of spiders is indoutedly useless, to me at least (the meme deck I want to play includes Velen, not beasts).
The anticipation of getting legendary is fucking with my mind. Seeing how all of /hsg/ and streamers are already legendary is so depressing. I've been fighting the urge so much but finally caved in. I actually regret this so much
please punish me
Brm can get you most of the way to rank 5 to start building a collection. (you get a golden epic for hitting rank 5, worth 400 dust)
Dragon priest has hit legend plenty of times. (The first wing of nax is also a must have later on)
But if you have money and want to spend it on packs, just make sure you buy classic packs. They have the most value in them in terms of usable cards/legends.
>But if you have money
I don't. But the want to get legendary is clouding my judgement. I feel like an entitle brat for behaving this way.
I'm actually very disappointed and mad at myself for this

Playing a viable deck in the relevant meta is not maining. That's just playing the class.
Maining is determined entirely by whether or not you're enough of a shieldbearer to self-identify as maining a deck.
>put your faith in the light !
blizzard had to rush it out so quickly they missed out on preorder sales
really all they had to do was balance and change TGT cards, but they didnt want to give out all that free dust
I downloaded Hearthstone on my phone, even deleted a bunch of shit just to make space for it. Aren't I supposed to get prizes for it? Like free packs?
anytime a card is changed you get full dust for it, doesnt matter if the change is a positive or not
>new hero skins
HAHAHA, the skins were a massive failure, they arent going to waste time on them again
Start speculating, faggots.
Honestly out of the tgt cards only the cheap inspire ones are overall trash, 6+ mana inspires are just a little short on being playable and are all amazing in arena and the joust cards just need some synergistic stuff to make them playable (cards like living roots and feral spirit are the best route).
Plus the only blatantly overpowered card from it is Mysterious Challenger and that's only true because of all the amazing early game paladin got from GvG
>Killed my shit all game
>Was 1 off lethal at one point and he reno'd me
>Got all the way to fatigue, got his tank up and like 4 fresh legos in hand with monkey
>...and promptly concedes
How mad was he, /hsg/?
Was actually thinking of conceding multiple times in the match because it was so boring and taking forever, now I'm kinda glad I didn't lol. Justicar mai waifu.
I hate Ben Brode's stupid fucking corporate talk where he uses an entire sentence to say fucking nothing of any value. I'm sure you'd 'love' to do many things.
I also hate his stupid fucking face in his stupid fucking twitter profile pic.
Seriously something like what this dude is asking for should take a single team member an hour to implement. What the FUCK do they do all day, jack off Ben?
I'm just a man with a passion for hate bruhpai
>What the FUCK do they do all day, jack off Ben?
Why does blizzard think its ok to keep stupid shit like this in the game?
Yeah secrets and face decks are cancer too, but you can actually counter netdeck shitters.
>A game coded by the small shit team of people they had left over
>Thinking anything is easy to implement in their pile of shit code
Spoilers: In under 3 years from now they're going to have to completely rewrite the game.
Dragon taunts are LITERALLY what made dragons competitively viable in the first place. The reason why they were never competitive before TGT was SPECIFICALLY because there were no defensive dragons like that. The archetype couldn't even exist without them.
Fuck off, kiddo. You're drunk.
This is your daily reminder
This is your daily reminder that Freeze Mage has always been a non-interactive archetype that is dependent a least 80% of the time on the draws the mage gets and nothing else within the game. the other 20% are if you happen to queue up with Control Warrior.
Freeze Mage has outlasted: Miracle Rogue, OTK Warrior Giants, Sylvannas nerf, Grim Patron, Face Hunter. There has not been a tournament in over a year that did not have a form of freeze mage in it. Very few high-level pro players have ever not brought a Freeze Mage as one of their decks to a major tournament.
This is your daily reminder.
>There has not been a tournament in over a year that did not have a form of freeze mage in it. Very few high-level pro players have ever not brought a Freeze Mage as one of their decks to a major tournament.
You almost got me.
$110, got the 3 adventures and then bought the 50 classic packs for $50 deal. I don't get to have the proud title of F2P but compared to other card games it's a reasonable amount of cash.
kylr #1248 can a nigga spectate anotha nigga?
Also, haven't ladder'd in a few days: are there still infinity mages and hunters? Was playing druid last and just had to warp the fuck out of my deck to deal with these shitheads.
i have spent 0 but i keep note on how much im missing to have all the cards
right now i have ~7k dust in the bank
here are my notes (this is how much i am missing):

JESUS FUCKIN CHRIST MISS CLICKED AND CREATED A FUCKIN GOLDEN COMMON
I JUST WANTED TO DISENCHANT THIS SHIT
FUCKIN 400 WASTED
Anyone actually like this week's tavern brawl? I'm just playing Battlecry Warrior and having a blast.
I actually got to use the Golden Monkey. Though they conceded before I got to play the Golden Priest Legend that makes legends.
BLIZZARD FUCKIN REPLACED PLACES DISENCHANT WITH CREATE
>play secret pally
70%+ vs every other class but mirror, 29% vs druid. No fucking idea how to beat it without turn 8 tirion, if I even last that long.
yes, I know I'm the cancer
as a druid player, I need to know how they are beating you. because outside of a really fast draw or a shit draw on the secretdin player I find myself losing a lot.
Also muster + juggler is cancer and you should feel bad. In fact, juggler is cancer.
I'm like 65% of the way to a proper constructed control priest deck. Predictions?
I think most 1 drops in arena are junk because they almost all have 1 health in a mage dominated inviroment, but sometimes you can trade with a two-drop and take control of the game.
Priestess also has an EOT ability so no matter what happens, even if your opponent pings it next turn in the mid/late game, you got that extra health, which could have value.
gues hes going to make up for the 400 dust
>because outside of a really fast draw
That's the answer.
I don't think I've ever queued into a druid who doesn't have innervate/WG/aspirant into swipe or druid of the claw which completely fucks any chance of me controlling the board. Usually I have nothing left on board by turn 5, which fucks my MC, as they always seem to have BGH.
But every time I queue midrange or combo druid, I'm very fortunate to get just ONE of the ramp cards and actually being able to follow up with Shredder or Druid.
>Shitty face shaman
>Just barely kills me because he gets Doomhammer, both Rock biters, both lava plumes, both lava shocks, both crackles, and both lightning bolts to have an empty hand by turn 9
Legit, fuck this stupid fucking game
I was another Shaman
again, druid is nuts against everything with a strong draw (i.e. ramp + 1-2 relevant cards) and shit against most things when you don't do that. I see a lot of druids have been trading down bombs like AoW for faster shit against aggro like Roots.
Also, Aspirant is a trap. It has all the downsides of ramp (only want to see it early) with few of the upsides because its so fragile. It's relevant against secretdin because it trades with minibot but thats it.
So given that the current tavern brawl is clearly a test for Field/Enchantments/Ongoing effects, will the next expansion feature those effects or will they be pushed another two expansions down?
And assuming they are coming, are we guessing semi-competence or total incompetence?
>play egg druid
>don't drop jeeves on curve with empty hand
deck was effective for a people because nobody knew what it was doing or playing. After being exposed it seems like a pretty subpar, albeit very fun and interesting deck.
Well that's the thing, ongoing card effects will be absolutely shit (TGT), good (???), or amazing (GvG).
Assuming it's not TGT levels of shit, they will without a doubt have impact on the meta, the only question is how.
They can't get too complex, unless they want to make the game far too amazing though.
i couldn't get a decent screen in time, but, well, you get the idea.
The thing is, against organized decks, I do pretty well. I can pull out a win maybe half the time against pretty good decks that have 5 times the dust cost of this deck. But every time I go against some retard mage with 25 spells and 5 minions, I get owned.
What's a deck that's fun to play and requires strategy and planning, but easy enough for a new player to use but could theoretically get legend with?
I don't mind making an investment into this game so long as I have something entertaining to do while I'm waiting for the bus or taking a shit.
reynads shaman was with mechs which are more consistent and better against midrange, but slower and overall less powerful than Trogg + shitload of overload + a few dudes.dec that seems to have taken over.
combo druid, although it requires an investment in the naxx adventure and requires 4 epics.
honestly most decks that require strategy and planning just aren't as good as secret din, aggro shaman and combo druid. In order to pilot those tier 2 and below decks to a theoretical legend finish, you would need skill and experience a new player wouldn't have.
This is probably the most common zoolock currently
You'll also see people play Demon Zoo which is almost as popular but a lot more expensive
>dude just draw the card it's not even that hard just d r a w the card
>like theres four AoEs and one of the two different ones might not even help but d u d e just draw the card
>Play Mill Rogue with the +3 armor from spell buffs in this weeks brawl
>Friend requested by 3 people so far
Ok here goes
Mysterious challenger is a slightly above average card and the rest of the deck is broken, all mysterious challenger does is thin out the deck so you are more likely to draw in to your finishers. He should cost 7 mana but the real problem with the deck is the dominating early game of paladin and the devastatingly overpowered Boom and Tirion
Nerf minibot and muster and the deck would be a joke
Face Jaraxxus, anon. There are very few possible decks where jaraxxus isn't good. The turtle is dependent on getting a large number of demons, which is a corner you don't necessarily want to be backed into.
There are many guides and people who will tell you otherwise.
But in truth, until about rank 5 you just need to get good at the game, learn the match-ups, know the card interactions, know when to commit and how to avoid overcommitment, etc.
So, play for a while, learn, maybe watch some Trump teachings if you're desperate.
Rank 15 is not hard at all
I normally play freeze mage and missclicked into my shitty control mage deck and won against a warrior (Although I wouldn't have won with freeze mage desu)
Practically what he said
You lack game knowledge
Netdeck something you want to play and then keep at it. Take 3 minutes afterm every game to evaluate what you did right and what you could improve. Don't play more than 2 losing games in a row in ranked and be willing to walk away before you tilt. Also accept that you won't make legend this month and shoot for a more reasonable goal like rank 10.
Step 1 is to memorize the contents of all netdecks
Step 2 is learning how to identify variants
Step 3 figure out how to predict the enemies hand based on how they play
Step 4 learn the complete ins and outs of your deck by playing a ton
Also watch a non-shit streamer to learn
But I don't want to give jewzzard my money. Farming 700 gold for the adventure is tiresome
since my account is F2P all I play is huntard but that can only take me so far
The only streamer I watch is reynad, dog and forsen. 2 of them are just for the salt unfortunately.
>Play aggro Shaman
>Get gold crackle from season awards
So, I have Antonidas in my freeze mage but I almost never use it, either I win without it or I get buttfucked anyway by a warrior or fast deck.
Is it better to have Pyroblast for the instant damage?
Get golden Bane of Doom in Tavern Brawl pack
1st decent shit since Antonidas 3 months ago.
Combo druid always has two sludge Belcher's, typically also has two kazdingos. Shuts down the Paladin early game for the same reasons a Priest can with deathlords and smart board control.
Why not both? Antonidas can sometimes give you that extra fire ball to finish your opponent next turn. Here's the lost I'm currently running.
There is always something to be said for a cheap threat that makes them not hit face. If my Aspirant does live, I am dropping big shit because druid. Otherwise, it is a tempo play because it has to be answered. No 2 drop for you sir, and that is always good for a deck that wants to get to the late game.
It's really hard to determine how well I play since I don't know how to measure it. But so far I have been hovering on rank 15 today. I was planning to get into dragon priest but I don't have the cards nor did I even complete BRM. At this rate I can either complete BRM and go the dragon route or complete LOE and main murloc paladin with anyfin can happen.
I'm heading to bed now but if you want to add me my id is oracewx #1307
Just got her in brawl pack, any deck she is good in for ?
Don't do either. Get something cheap and reliable, Aggro shaman is cheap and can hit legend. So can zoo if you aren't a shitter (because Zoo has been around forever, it is one of the best understood archetypes, you can easily.learn Zoo.). Face hunter won't do it.
Friendly reminder that being able to hit rank 5 each month significantly increases your dust budget, and reliably allows you to do more of what you want if you can be patient. Just in general, everyone gets roughly so much gold per month. So much dust before legendary and epic packs. So many free packs per month from brawl. If you don't have all the cards, wise usage of your resources gets you out of the hole much faster.
COPYRIGHT 2016 DO NOT STEAL
2 for 2 with the Cold Blood buff, wew
If you can maintain board control and not overextend, you'll be fine even if they AoE your shit down
Am I doing the meta justice?
Let's be honest. Do you groan when you see your opponent play this card on curve?
I'm missing Lightbombs for Priest and a lot of Epics for Warrior. So this trueheart baby is gonna find a home in Paladin for now.
take that aggro shitter
I love rank 17. Craziest game I've played in a long time
How hard do I meme here?
Looking for advice to build upon my druid Combo deck. Right now I know there are a good few things I am missing from the best version of the deck(bgh and an azure Drake or two come to mind). Tips?
Do you have two copies of Savage roar and force of Nature? Two Ancients of Lore? Go make those cards.
Now play aggressively until turn 9, by which point you have to make sure your opponent is below 14 life. Then combo him.
If your opponent is aggro, use your swipes and druid of the claw in taunt form.
I've played 300+ games of combo druid and this is exactly how you play it every time.
Been absolutely destroying ladder with this, rank 7 at the moment
deathlord hunter has been working for me
What kind of world do we live in where Hunters are the chemo against the Paladin cancer?
Naxx is pure value, look the cards up. BRM is luxury except for wing 1, which has one of the most important legendaries for combo decks.
LoE is all over the place, you can make effective top tier decks without it but it has some nice touches.
I'm quite new to this game, I managed to scrounge myself together a pretty okay cheap zoo lock deck (I mean, I thought it was okay). http://www.icy-veins.com/hearthstone/fast-discard-warlock-zoo-tgt-deck I followed this because it seemed to make sense, please don't meme on me about it being a reddit website or something, but feel free to tell me if it's just a shit or outdated deck list for whatever reason.
I feel like I get my face pushed in by almost every other class unless I get lucky because I generally don't have enough aggro to close things out early (even though I have board control for the first 7 or so turns). Any comments on why? Shit deck? Shit player?
Zoo uses power overwhelming, soulfires, and a doomguard for its finisher. You aren't supposed to need more than that if you are aggroing correctly. Sea Giants, Jaraxxus and Malganis are your expensive extra push.
I just made it about an hour ago, I'm trying not to netdeck this season and see what happens
Okay, good to know. I can deal with just being shit since I'm still learning and all. And yeah, when I win it's because of that type of combo. But sometimes (especially vs hunter or shaman aggro decks) I feel like I just get stuck trading minions until they overwhelm me in the midgame, and doomguard isn't a big enough swing - is that just normal due to unfavourable matchups?
What would be good to swap out Fist of Jaraxxus for? Another Power Overwhelming maybe, and some sort of AoE removal option like Hellfire or Demonfire? Or another Impsplosion?
What are the bad 2-of picks? Just Fist, or are there others you don't like?
Rate my ramp deck, with rafaam now I have a win condition for druid.
Thanks guys, what about packs though? I know GvG has the famed Dr.7 but is it worth it to roll for him rather than craft him?
I wouldn't even run one of wrathguards, argent squires, fist of Jaraxxus or flame juggler. Basically, those cards shouldn't even be in the deck. I would only run one doomguard, because I dislike being locked out of one, so to speak. Also, this deck doesn't have the expensive parts of zoo, but don't worry about them. Do add boom if you have him though.
Get rid of Fists of Jaraxxus, Argent Squires, Wrathguard, Flame Juggler, Soulfire.
Add in another Imp-losion, another PO, 2x Haunted Creepers, 2x Dark Peddler, 1x Void Terror, 1x Ironbeak Owl, Dark Iron Dwarf, Loatheb.
That'll be a much better zoolock. You don't need the more expensive cards in zoo cause that'll lead to another variant of the deck (Demon Zoo)
Hmm. Flame Juggler could easily be switched for Haunted Creeper I guess, and I could find a replacement for Wrathguard although it seems both of those changes would lower my aggressiveness (can't get much more aggro on a 2 drop than Wrathguard, surely, and aggro feels like what I need). What's wrong with Argent Squire? Surely with all the cheap buffs in the deck it's a good way to get some very favourable trades?
Brann is the right choice here r-right
Zoo is not aggro. It is board control that dumps everything left over to face. I never cared for the creepers, but void terror, power overwhelming nerubian egg is a combo that makes your turn 3 to 4 one of the best in the game, if not the best. Run one Void terror. Overwhelming your egg, eat it with the demon to make that 4 4 boost stick for more than one turn.
Wrathguard is bad because he has only 3 health and dies to a lot of other 2 drops, the 4 attack doesn't matter since its unnecessarily high for the current board state usually. Zoo isn't an aggro deck and going face with Wrathguard isn't something you should be doing if he has shit on the board. If the card was a 3/4 he'd be better.
You also don't need the squires because you're already running 4 one mana cards and you don't want to dilute your deck even more. Both flame imp and voidwalker are better than argent squire for early turn plays.
Are you the same guy that keeps asking this question?
That Zoo deck has some arguable flaws. Also the Void Terror combo is one of the things Zoo has over every other deck, from a standpoint of stats tk the table in the first 4 turns.
A lot of card choices are specifically there for a lot of reasons. Flame juggler actually isn't a bad minion to be honest, but haunted creeper is better since its almost guaranteed to leave you with board presence, it's a defense mechanism against AoE as well as has synergy with Knife Juggler.
>secret paladins in tavern brawl
Why would you do that? Go to ladder, cancer up that.
HOLY SHIT, AN ANGRY CHICKEN
Turn 2 egg into turn 3 terror gives you a 3/5 demon and the 4/4 from the egg. That's before overwhelming. Power overwhelming gives you a 7/9 terror instead, and the ability to hit for 4 with the egg like you usually could. With coin, you can turn 2 egg turn 3 overwhelming terror. Nothing else in the game can reliably do this, and it has won me games in the past.
I personally always thought creeper was shit, even in zoo and Hunter. Also, I've seen much better uses of brann, and think that having two doomguards in a deck with crazy draw is not efficient, especially when doomguards are only really worth running two of in the version that has malganis and voidcallers.
>get decent gold amount to be safe for continuous arenas
>give in to temptation and buy packs
>only 155g left
>only win 5 games in arena
fuck everything. Buying packs is like a slot machine. You keep thinking just 1 more and bam, 800g gone
Creeper is excellent because it'll almost always require more than 2 mana to remove, giving you natural tempo. Also guarantees something to remain on board to buff as well as plays around AoE and has beast synergy and knife juggler synergy.
Have a check on some guides, dude.
Don't be afraid to netdeck just because lolg says it's bad. It helps to see how decks are built and once you've played them a few times, why.
Watching others play them will help you see good card synergies and little tricks the decks can do that you might not have thought of.
Anyway, look up a zoolock deck and just copy it. Once you've taken it for a couple of games, you'll understand why stuff is there.
>Don't be afraid to netdeck just because lolg says it's bad.
I don't know what this means, sorry.
>Anyway, look up a zoolock deck and just copy it.
That's what I did and I'm winning most games with it, but I'm sure it's not perfect. I can see how Terror would have good synergy. I haven't played for very long and I don't really watch streamers.
Honestly, I reckon it would see play if the stat distribution was reversed. It'd be a strong control card and could be played turn 1 to clear Gnomes and shit and turn 2 to essentially clear a hunters board (of what is likely Gnome and Scientist) and survive the Explosive Trap.
Netdecking is simply copying a deck from the internet and using it. Hsg (Not lolg, I put that because I'm fucking retarded and have both tabs open) usually looks down on it, but it's honestly not a bad thing. It helps people get off the ground with how a deck should typically be designed.
You could Youtube a zoolock game. Look for one of the most recent ones, as the latest expansion has a card or two in that have become pretty much core in the deck.
One last thing.
With Terrors, always count up what its total attack will become before you play him as everyone and their gran runs Big Game Hunter.
That is netdecking. Looking up and copying. When you look at a deck to figure out what cards to cut and how many, think about what the deck is good at, and how it can be better. It's why flame juggler sucks in zoo, and in general. If I wanted a 3/2 2 drop, I would take faerie Dragon instead for instance, because spellproof is useful. If I wanted the damage, knife juggler is better random and there's a 22 for 2 that shoots a target, not random.
One more pack before bed. About damn time I got something decent.
Should I dust him?
