The situation is pretty similar to what happen to their parents. It would probably be best if they moved on from each other than proper redemption. That is kind of what helps Asriel in the ending, it's just Chara's kind of long gone in any ending that isn't Genocide, just like the other six humans

After learning more about Sans and what the word nihilism means I've figured out I'm nihilistic.

The game portrays this as a negative trait but you can't logically prove that it is. Since the only good is knowledge and any action you takes results in gaining knowledge people no matter what they do cannot be wrong. Everything is right all the time.

So if any action is right, then why would you ever have a preference for one action over the other? There's simply no reason to do anything.

It is certain that as soon as you stop receiving new information you will cease to exist. You'll become nothing more than a fragment in the infinite whole of existence. That is why knowledge is pursued. But if knowledge is infinite as well then no matter what you do you'll be on an endless pursuit for all of eternity seeking more knowledge so that you can continue to exist. This isn't even a matter of choice, as all actions result in the gain of knowledge you really have no choice in the matter. You will follow this infinite puzzle whether you like it or not. There's no right or wrong way to do it either, for if we end up as infinite beings then all of existence from every perspective will eventually be experienced.

We know knowledge is infinite simply because of mathematics. Simply sitting down for an eternity and trying to count every possible number between 0 and 1 is an experience and an experience is knowledge.
We know that attaining all knowledge is equivalent to death because an all knowing entity cannot think a thought that they do not already know. Any action they take is only a memory and there is nothing left to trigger any decision. They would be no longer a thinking feeling entity. They would be the culmination of all of reality and at the same time they would be nothing at all. Often paradoxes such as these tend to be the ultimate truths.

Or maybe Sans is just lazy.

It's knowledge none the less and knowledge is always good. If humans are finite then ultimately nothing matters regardless, we will all meet the same end. If humans are not finite then still nothing matters because any action you take is the correct one.

It sounds depressing to most people but once you understand the concepts you'll realize that it's by no means a bad thing. Being happy, sad, excited, afraid, all of it is knowledge, and knowledge is always good. Thus no matter how you feel at any time it's always a positive experience. It gives you so much more control over your actions and lifts the fears of disappointment.

Though it has a drawback. With no consequence for any action there's no preference for one thing over another. Motivation to do anything plummets and the path of least resistance is taken.

Imagine it like knowing a thousand perspectives for any decision. You know how a carefree individual would act, how a motivated individual would act, how a merciless individual would act and so on a thousand times. If every single perspective is correct then which perspective do you listen to? You can't make a right decision so you do nothing.

What if you treated the "do nothing" option as a perspective in and of itself. A perspective that has the default answer of "do nothing" to every question. Now you can see why nihilism is simply seen as being lazy. Refusal to choose is a choice and it's often the easiest one.

You might want to take a step back there, friend. You're trying to push the notion that knowledge which is only useful in a theoretical universe is as useful in our universe. Keep in mind what you're trying to claim here, that any knowledge is as good as any other, and therefore there is no reason to do anything else.

You're getting a much too narrow focus, and furthermore, you still have not proven the even more core basis of your argument, which is that gaining knowledge is the only metric of worth in life.

Gaining knowledge is a worthwhile endeavor, but so too is GIVING knowledge, as well as things completely unrelated to knowledge.

You're not drawing conclusions based on evidence, you're twisting terms around and ignoring value of things which would obviously go against your goal (For example, you would have a hard time arguing that starving to death is just as nice as not starving to death, because they both give you "a knowledge").
