If you leave a fish while harvesting when it's due to break, you lose that fish.

Someone should confirm what happens when you cultivate king fish on it. Some anon posted that it frequently breaks when you try to do so.

They do have a pretty high failure rate. When they break all the fish inside get away. HOWEVER, that only happens if you take fish out. If you do the "take all but one" option, you still have all the fish you took, but the one gets away. Minor annoyance at worst. But don't take your fish out until you are good and ready.

I like conquest challenges. I can't beat them in festivals, but I sure as hell can beat them in a shipment race. It's also fun that you have only a few days time to prepare your shipment batch, so every minute of the day is used for moneymaking.

Just fertilize everyday, harvest the crop, put it in the seed maker, plant it, rinse and repeat.You've just got to be persistent. It's a gradual process, and one season won't be enough time to get you all the way to 5*.

Or you can whore yourself out on multiplayer. I got 5* flax seeds from a random in exchange for helping him transfer his items between his two save files, and my cousin gave me 5* sweet potato seeds. I think I'm going to try and not take anymore shortcuts though. I feel like a cheat.

The beginning is really slow, which is par for course for a Harvest Moon game, but I feel it's especially pronounced in SoS. I was bored when I first started, but now I'm overwhelmed with how much there is to do in a single day.

I personally really love taking my livestock to the safari, furfilling requests from different venders, and conquest field system, but that's all stuff that you'll have to play for an in-game month or two before you unlock.

It all comes down to preference, though, so if the core aspects of the game don't appeal to you, the characters aren't interesting to you, it's not engaging enough, etc, then just put it down for a different game.

It's only summer first year for me, I picked "quantity" and shipped ~250 items. Ended up losing to Elise who shipped a whoppin' 560 items, like really nigga? I had to load and cheese her with a few stacks of fodder that I saved up.

Variety is a good one, since you have the ability to craft crap, and I'm 95% sure different star levels count as different items (pic related). Was there a emulator bug in the older dolphin regarding Frontier? Because when i played some years ago, relationship increases took forever. Like a single friendship point during the entire spring, and half a love point despite giving favorite gifts daily.

I've got the winery built but I haven't done much with it so far, because none of the villagers I like like wine as a gift. But I've got lemons to 5 stars and peaches to 4.5, and once I wrangle that orchard off of Elise, I plan on actually planting all the different saplings I have sitting in my toolbox + upgrading them, so I'll look into selling wine for some variety. Growing all flax just feels cheap and boring.

Sweet potatoes are also really good, because if you plant them in the root crop field they harvest every day. I cook them up and use them for stamina-replenishing, so I can actually finish watering all my fields and and take care of all my lifestock without being screwed on Wednesday when Raeger closes up shop. I imagine when I actually decide to work on ice/tropical country, I'll be cooking up the stacks and stacks of sweet potatoes I have sitting in my fridge.

The Orchard's more useful for growing lumber trees than fruit trees. 16 days growth time from 20 days is a lot of growth time shedded off. All of my fruit trees are grown on greenhouses, and my very prized Cherry Trees get a greenhouse full of it. It really helps that wine production from your prized fruit is year-round rather than once a month.

Wine is on the products category, so it definitely helps with the 10k products requirement (7k for Seedling).

Some animal temperaments will have them either churn out HQ products, produce one more than the maximum, or high star rank products. There's a chart somewhere where it explains all of it. Just Google it.

The most straightforward solution is to have that animal spend 100 hours in the Safari. It will produce HQ producta all the time of you do that.

Just fertilize everyday just like how you water everyday. When you harvest them, they'll have more star points, even if the star rank hasn't visibly increased. Turn the resulting crops into seeds, and fertilize some more until you hit rank 5.

After that, you just have to make sure you never forget to set aside crops to make the next harvest's seeds.

So you're looking for the third dungeon?
The first two are in the little plains area below town.
You'll find the the new area by going south of where that little garden full of wood and stone is. On the leftmost side of the screen.
Of course you'll have to loop around through that central spot because of the rock blocking your way. If you hit mushrooms you've gone too far south.

When in doubt go speak to Ventuswill. It might be that Volcanon or someone else needs to clear blockages or build a bridge for you.
