Have you tried to beat them on 5 Star no bonus? They take far more investment that what they're worth.

By beating them you get:
1) 5 SAT from Akihime, or the ability to recruit her (I'm pretty sure she gives no SAT if recruited, even when cleared).
2) Hara Shouji (only useful for his Neg stat).
3) Whatever small bonuses you get from the extra battles.

But to get this you need:
1) To waste Action Fans, usually far more than the 4 you'd expect - their final castle battle is pretty tough.
2) Waste troops (and therefore both money, and the opportunity to use the commanders for other things) to defend from their attacks while you beat Ashikaga and build up a large enough army to actually beat their castle (there's no fucking way you'll beat Hara's castle before you've beat Ashikaga, unless you've wasted an absurd amount of turns preparing).

In short, it's not worth it. The only real benefit from conquering is the 5 SAT, which is even a debatable benefit in itself, because I can easily get 5 SAT with two fans (do a dungeon) and I doubt you can beat their castle with only one fan if you're not scumming.

Between Berksham, Noce and Xavier there are three slots for Miki to make new demons but of course Kentarou took up one.

It also seems unlikely that Miki would do that before X.

I can't remember if Aurora has Abert's blood soul with her but I think she does.
I guess it's possible that Aurora made a new demon while trying to revive Sieg but that would have had to have happened after Quest.

Lexington is a possibility given that Atlanta now has much greater access to possible bodies. But I really don't seem the going down that route.

Any demon would have to be extremely new, possibly even turned during the game.
If someone becoming a demon is handled well it could become interesting.
I don't really see the point in an unaligned new demon in Rance X because it's a distraction from the main plot and if they want a rogue they could possibly just use Kamilla for that.

But on another note

Given the AL Church might be enemies in X I find it interesting that they have Kite's blood soul. That is the only way that I think a new demon could work.

Rance did send Leazas, JAPAN and Zeth letters about what he was going to do in Helman, requesting them to not take advantage of the situation and declaring war. Lia sent him a letter saying he could use Kanami as he wishes but she'd need to give her a reward next time they meet.

I don't remember the exact reason behind sending Rick and Tilde (Other than helping Rance) so I'm going to guess she wanted Helman in Leazas's debt.

Wow, I turn up to post on a run to give us something to talk about, and I find we're on page 10, although it looks like >>127919021 beat me to the bump.

Pic related, I'm doing 5 Star no bonus, DA turns up very soon. How am I doing?

Things I've learned during this run:
By far, the hardest part of no bonus is beating Hara and Ashikaga, once you've beat them, and maybe the Miko Institute and Uesugi, the game becomes easy again.
Seriously, just vassal Hara... they're not worth the effort in 5 Star no bonus.
Convert Action seems to be a quicker move than Standby, and you can also Convert Action the unit who is using Convert Action, meaning that if your Convert Action unit doesn't have any good targets, it should target itself to make sure it moves fastest.
Natori is even more broke than I though... and I'm saying that after multiple playthroughs.
The time pressure caused by money, luck and Xavier in no bonus means that you'll probably never succeed with any tactics along the lines of "get SAT, spam affection +3, make multiple Battle Rating Up 2 units and win".
Savescumming doesn't significantly decrease the difficulty of the game, almost all of my scums have just been misleading because of misclicks or decisions I've regretted before even seeing the consequences.
Battle Permits shouldn't be as much as a priority as they're often made, in the True Route at least. With broken units like Natori and Dousan, you don't really need all 5 Permits. 3 is usually enough, by the time you've got the money to get all 5, Xavier will be taking them away soon.
I still need to figure out what to do with unequipable stuff like the Emperor Ring, I can never figure out who to give them to, particularly when we're talking about Rance's Love.
