I've never used it in PVP. But it's an amazing weapon. Has both Serrated and Piercing, making it amazing for both beasts and Kin. It also has the Church Bonus. Making it for any Cainhurst enemies.

Honestly one of the better weapons in the game.
I use two of them on NG++ with three Fire Gems. And the other with Two Bolt Gems and Arcane Scaling

The firing arc is good and the damage isn't much worse than the regular Cannon. Only "issue" is the fact that it also requires SKL to wield while the regular Cannon doesn't, but the cheaper ammo requirement pretty much offsets the flaws.

Arcane is very possible, he's just being silly. A lot of weapons can be made arcane and while they won't have quite the AR a STR/SKL build will they'll exploit elemental weaknesses and are supplemented by the tools.

I've been getting kuckt in Korea for a few days now trying to gem out my Kosm parasite.

I did get a really lucky offshape waning drop from the bone ash hunter in Isz, 23% Arc and +14 physical dmg, and I accidently'd a lost parasite to +10 instead of an uncanny one and now all I need is a decent triangle and I have a good radial and I'm really happy about my lucky kucky offshape drop and thus concludes my secret blog

Yes, it's possible. And it's insanely easy. My first ever playthrough was Arcane, and honestly, I felt it was the easiest out of all of my playthroughs.

Short version is;
>kill up to Bloodstarved beast (third boss)
>get his chalice and go to first chalice dungeon and kill last boss of the first one. (Hot Dog) to get Fire Gem
>put it on your Saw Cleaver or Saw Spear, you now have your main beast killing weapon
>refresh the chalice dungeon if you want two fire gems early on
>if not, go kill Amelia with your Fire Saw Cleaver, hitting for like 300 a hit at level 20 is pretty funny
>never do anything but put points into Vit and Arcane, and only get End to 15 or 14
>after amelia, go to the altar to get the password to enter the forbidden forest
>rush to where patches is hiding and grab that item he gives you
>and run through the secret passage to the side to rush the arcane gem in the tunnel with all the leeches and that poison lake
>then take the item patches gave you and enter the lecture hall. When in there grab Augur. It will be your first spell, and one of your best. It's amazing.
>after that, make your way to Nightmare Frontier and farm the three beasts at the beginning with your Fire Cleaver. They should die in one shot, and they drop Fire and Bolt Gems.
>get a good roll on a fire gem and a good roll on a Bolt gem and make your fire weapon stronger, and get a nice weapon for your arcane and bolt gems.
>now you have all three main resistances covered, go to yahargul, kill that abomination thing and make your way to the celestial emissary. It's first phase is weak against fire, so hit it a few times for about 500 a hit, then change to Lightning when it changes phase and hit it again for about 500 a hit
>laugh as you kill it in about 10 seconds, then destroy the glass wall behind the bonfire and walk to the right and you'll get the strongest spell in the game, A Call from Beyond
>Congratulations, now you can spam that on every boss and win easy mode
