In the last step, when restoring your backup to the SD card there's some files on the newly created 3DS folder (when emunand back up was injected again) that are the same with the one in the 3DS folder of the backup. Which ones should I keep?

I kept the ones on the backup at first, but when I boot emunand through rxtools the console just freezes with a black screen. I'm currently formatting the emunand with the gateway loader AGAIN to try and make this work. Damn, I'm starting to get tired of this shit.

I made a backup of my SD card + NAND dump, then I installed emuNAND. I didn't format my sysNAND afterwards, and none of my legit games are showing up except for DSiware on both NANDs.

What do?

Also, my firmware version still says my real version number instead of RX3D, and even though I "successfully" installed FBI over the health and safety app, opening that up just brings the regular health and safety app up. So, I booted libkhax twice now, and both times are just a black screen.

Using Ironhax, can also try Menuhax or OoTHax if those work better.

It didn't brick, since I can still load the console just fine after a hard reset. It just does the red shit and goes black forever.

I'm having a small issue with my o3DS

I was at 9.9, updated to 10.3 and downgraded to 9.2

Got browserhax, installed menuhax, backed up my emunand and now I have Cakes and NTR running, games are working fine

Except for one game: Monster Hunter X

I installed the cia with the translation prepatched and the game didn't boot, gave me a black screen telling me to reboot my 3DS both on Cakes and Cakes+NTR

I uninstalled the cia and installed the vanilla cia, updated it to 1.1 and it works fine. I tried using the NTR method to translate the game (mhx and plugin files all in the root of my SD) but the game is still in Japanese

Anyone has the same issue? It's the game I most wanna play

Link works for me. I tried the 3.0 and 2.6 versions of rxTools. I could only get the version that the anon that wrote the guide posted to work. There is no rxtools.dat in this version, so it might be worth a try.

I'll just put it straight. I gave up trying to get this CFW shit working. I was lucky enough to get the downgrade to 9.2, but nearly everything that came afterward was too confusing for my feeble, shitty mind, and I feel like I shouldn't have tried to do this in the very midst of the storm. I don't understand sysNAND, emuNAND, how any of this works, so I backed up my SD card and NAND, reformatted, and restored my regular NAND again and am trying to go back to 10.3 so I can actually play games again, have my ironhax payload, and buy shit like a retard. But I can't, I get an error saying it was unable to update. I'm stuck.

TL;DR: Trying to update regular NAND from 9.2 back to 10.3 because I'm retarded and I gave up; can't because I get an error every time, I've already removed tubehax DNS, already tried booting into the update, and I'm on N3DS. Don't know what to do.

So I'm pretty sure I unlinked my emunand and sysnand. I followed the instructions on the guide properly and everything, and after going through the system setup again it was as if I switched between profiles. Like I went into the system settings and it said my firmware was at RX3D, and then I don't really know what happened but it switched back to my old settings and the system settings said I was back on my regular firmware. I managed to get back to the RX3D firmware one and now I'm updating like the guide said.

bottom line is that yeah Retroarch now runs great for NES, SNES, Genesis. Those are my big three so I'm happy. Played Sonic 2 at the dinner table, Genesis games looking fucking awesome with the 320x224 resolution. The shit DPI on the XLs is actually beneficial as you get a nice scanline effect.

DMG had sound glitches, GBA was slow, didn't really anything else.

This was just from 10.3 homebrew, haven't tried any of the dynarec stuff.

every single time during the boot process, it fails halfway through with an error has occured on the bottom screen and bricks the console. Luckily i have a hardmod and nand backup but I have tested this about 5 times, have hash checked the cia's out of the zip, and hash checked the zip. 100%
