Just saw this on /co/.
There were a lot of problems with DA2.

There were obvious problems like the reused environments, the incredibly dumbed down combat, the poor art design for various characters and locations and equipment.

The story is the biggest clusterfuck though. Bioware tried to break away from the whole 'You're the leader of a very special group of warriors with special political authority fighting an ancient evil aka Grey Wardens aka Specters from Mass Effect.' Instead they tried to follow the rise of an individual from poverty to fame and how they shaped the fate of the world along the way but did it in the most retarded way possible. Instead of going to three separate locations in Ferelden/three separate planets in the galaxy, the adventure is cut into three separate chunks of time out of a decade. The main conflict is centered around the most hamfisted and unbalanced allegory for racism I've seen in a while, and there's no option for creative solutions, you have to choose either the douche or the turd sandwich.

The interaction with the companions is stupid as well and the game expecting you to be sympathetic to some of them is eye-rollingly moronic. Anders is a genuine sociopath and terrorist who lies and uses emotional blackmail to get you to help him kill a bunch of people, blow up a religious center, and jumpstart a war. He gets a free pass though because his fangirls gush over how sensitive and oppressed he is. Merrill is a literal retard who somehow thinks she knows better than her elder, so she goes ahead and fucks with the magic mirror and with blood magic while sticking her fingers in her pointed ears and going ‘Lalalala I can’t hear you’ to whoever points out what she’s doing will get her killed. She gets a free pass because she’s cute. It’s a shame that these two are the worst because it definitely cuts into the sympathy the game expects for mages.

Oh you just murdered a bunch of orphans and raped a woman? Hahaha classic Hawke!’ Bethany is sweet but boring and a wimp. Thanks dear sister for running to the Circle despite our whole family busting our asses to keep you out of their clutches. Carver can actually be sympathetic –he feels marginalized by his family because he’s not a mage like his sisters or father- but he spends most of his time being surely and you have no option to try and be supportive, plus all the other companions dump on him all the time. Isabella is a cunt but she’s not so bad when you peel back some of her layers. Fenris looks like a JRPG faggot but has the most legit reasons to be surely given that he was an actual slave and probably raped by Danarius.

You didn't see it flying around on the coast and fighting that giant? I imagine to feed its giant ass babies and itself it'd probably need to go further inland than that, a lot.

So yeah, dangerous to anyone who happens to be on that coastline or in any villages near that area. I'd think a village would be a good place for a dragon to land in to eat up all the livestock.

And once it's babies grow up, any future female high dragons will likely have to move into the area more and more, until it's no longer safe for the average person to go to near the coast at all.

A normal human doesn't have the capacity to raze/crush an entire town in minutes on its own with 'weapons' that are part of it's own body.

Mages potentially can, and even though they're intelligent beings, they're kept in towers to control them, but I can't imagine a tower would hold a dragon, and it couldn't be counted on to choose not to attack things because its a giant monster going on instinct.

So in that case, them being killed is really the only option humans can take to protect themselves and their settlements.
