Something something vermin removal.
I'm sorry mr Dan Hibiki, I keep getting caught.
I can try just standing to the side instead of trying to stun him if that'd help? It goes against every bone in my body to not try to help though
Best looking area in the base game. I love the snow.
>DLC with 10 vit
I'm ready to suffer for this Parasite.
What makes the filthy beast eater, best covenant in your eyes then?
I feel like the Vilebloods were slaughtered for the show of force by the church, and I think the entire reason the player came to Yharnam was to join the Vilebloods. (and some for some reason the place and the queen just clicked with me.)
>Sedatives being 5k a fucking pop when I have to use two every time I deal with the singing eyeball things
I bet the church did this
I CAN FINALLY GRIND FOR GEMS WHAT GLYPH DO I FARM FOR LHB
>Sedatives don't innoculate you against frenzy for a while
>You start building it up again the second you pop one
Just burn through heals, sedatives aren't worth it against the Winter Trusts
So I'm following this. Are there even 18 chunks in Cainhurst + First area before Ludwig total? If so, I apparently missed 8 chunks.
At 40 you could probably still get one shot by some of the bosses in the DLC unless you dumped all your points into vit and maybe had some HP runes, which a casual probably isn't going to have
Is there any armor in this game that looks terrible? Or is every set in this game glorious to look at.
>died 8 times trying to jump out of the elevator into the open window in Mensis
This isn't even hard
>kill all spiders
>if it stands up, run left or right
>if it rolls over, back the fuck up
>if it sticks it's ass in the air, back the fuck up
>if it flops around, wait for it to finish then whale on it
if you ahve beast blood pellets - ensure you have as little insight as possible to give the biggest beasthood gauge. kill all his spider friends, then unequip your weapon and eat a pellet, hit rom with R2 attacks to rapidly fill the gauge up, then swap back when full and go to town. If you are at a normal level for rom with a decent weapon you will probably be able to knock off 2/3 to 3/4 of his hp, sometimes you output so much damage he can't even teleport. If he does teleport you usually have enough time to rush him, ignore the spiders and just keep wailing, you should be able to get the kill before he makes a move.
>Ready to look for big tier radials
>Killing FRC Watchers for first time
>Cheesing one slowly on the stairs with jump R2s
>Doin my thing cuz I'm worried about half health
>Seems safe enough
>Mistime a jump
>Cut in half
>dead in one hit
THIS AIN'T EVEN THAT BAD I'LL TAKE ANYTHING OVER ORPHAN
Yes, you can. The baby spiders are dumb and tend to get separated easily and Rom's attacks have a huge tells. All you need to do is run around and wait for a baby spider to do an easily dodge attack and then counter in its ass while keeping an eye on Rom.
I've decided to go get Ludwigs sword and make it a sinister bell playthrough instead.
I still think we should organise an event where we all start a fresh character and do a sinister bell playthrough one day
What was your insight at when you first went into Mensis? I think I had like 80+
parry that fight, even if you don't have good skill. a few claw mark runes and you are good to go. the saw guy can be a bit of a dick to parry at times, you just need to be more careful with him.
You only need to kill them all 3 times, the first time is easy since she doesn't attack, when she teleports the try to close as much distance. keep killing those spiders, she will teleport once more. Manage to kill them all again then GG, no more spiders to deal with and she won't teleport anymore.
Also, be cautious about summoning, since that doubles the amount of spiders that are summoned.. Just get bolt paper, a fast weapon and pick off those little spiders. It's long and tedious but very much worth it considering it only takes 2 little spiders to fuck you over.
Ok, FRC bosses are next level bullshit
Get clipped by a boar's charge while rolling, dead
Get's 360'ed by Undead Giant, dead
Walk inside that giant beast, whatever his name is, and does that stupid long punch, dead
At the lake, you should only kill all the spiders the first time, before she aggros.
In the Chalice, kill all the spiders from the cover of the pillars then smash Rom's face in.
Even leaving a single spider alive seems like more trouble than it's worth honestly. Sure there's a 1% chance you'll get distracted and one shotted from the back by it but why even take the risk
All you need to do is look for an opening in the spider group, rush in, and smack the shit out of her.
So I aggro'd a crystal lizard/beast and it got spooked and jumped through the fucking wall and off the map.
It then died because I got the souls for it.
Is there anyway to get those upgrade stones now?
I see it as an anti casual and shitter thing. It filters out the bad players along with twinks and forces them to git gud if they ever want to see those high level gems. I have to agree though, artificially capping ones health is just silly.
>First drop is 27.2% phys with +3.3% stam use
THIS IS EASY
Haters gonna hate
The chalice ones are usually harder, especially when they make you fight them in tiny little rooms.
No, but I think the second form is way easier.
Its all worth it for good gems
all the blood echos cannot compare to a good gem
With the PC, his first form is tougher because of how much he bounces around. In his second form you can stun lock him until he is ready to parry, then before he can react, stunlock hum until you can parry him again, then he is dead.
The slowness coupled with the random burst of quick successive attacks is what makes him much harder to predict than the first form. If you can stagger him in an instant though you probably wont have enough time to realize it. I can deal with the first form without getting hit now, or close to it, but the second form still gets me hit regularly
I fought him with a weapon that couldn't stagger him quickly at all during the second form. mainly because I did absolute shit for damage. believe me, without staggering the second form is a ton harder than the first. not even close.
>2nd time killing watchers
>+26.3% phys and -10% vs kin
If I knew grinding through the story dungeons was the worst part of all this I would've blown through it much sooner
>First form is still easy even at NG+7 with bare fists
>Second form is difficult
Who would have thought the harder form is actually harder when you actually let the boss attack you ?
If by "Isz Physical" you mean physical triangulars, 5pwujscd is the glyph everybody uses.
Fire Saw Spear needs a single "Add Fire Attack" gem, which converts all of the physical damage to pure fire, then 2 "Arcane scaling UP" gems to boost the new fire damage to insane numbers.
I might be wrong about which fire gem you need, I've never made an arcane build.
...really? I have fought them maybe 10 times and got enough 27 radials for two weapons, it's easy as. granted they are durability/kin/beast down ones but I don't care about that.
Can someone give me a run down on the plot of Bloodborne?
So far what I've gathered that you're some random stranger who came to Yarnham in search of a cure. But you get put under anthesia and wake up in an altenrate version of Yarnham? or is it really Yarnham as it is?
Why are there beasts? Djura says they are people, is this true? How did people become beasts?
I've spent the last 16 hours of play time trying to farm Watchers for blunt gems. I now have 48 chunks, 12 new 27.2 physicals to put on other weapons, and no fucking blunt gems.
Does anyone have a link to that asian guy who fights orphan at I think bl4, with either a saw spear orcleaver? he doesn't backstab either and fights his second form flawlessly. the game is in moonrunes too.
You're sick and hear of magic healing blood so you make you start making your way to Cainhurst.
You get healing blood at the clinic in exchange for becoming a hunter. Shit starts going south from there.
His second form is always harder so long as you can't stagger him in an instant. And if you can do that I don't tthink you would have much trouble with the first form either anyway.
Not even joking. It was just so many shitty adept gems with hp gradually depletes, attack down, etc. I eventually did get some good 27% ones though, be it all of them were kin down.
that's the one, that dude's reactions to the telegraphs is robotic especially in the second form where he has a split second to take the opportunity for a hit on just one attack out of them all.
He has a huge ass weakness in his 2nd form. He MUST finish his 3 hit combo and all of his combo is either long range attacks or GTFO close range attacks. Baiting one and punishing with the appropriate counters makes it really easy.
Reminder that Pizzacutter is love
Well yeah, how long do you think he has been at it. Also remember videos like these make you think these people are better than they really are. He had to get it perfect pr else he would have died instantly. That doesn't mean he got it in one or even a couple of tries.
It is still really impressive though.
Ok but his combos have excellent reach and require precise timing. It's easy to fuck up a dodge on one of his combos and take huge damage. He's much less mechanical than the first form and is more about sense of timing and reflexes than pattern recognition
Try me fuccboi I'm gonna make her bleed.
Your Mom's womb? Some say Mosm's womb?
I need some clarification, Maria and some other hunters killed Kos right? Who else killed Kos besides Maria? Also did they know about the Orphan or is that something the player discovers?
The Pianist doesn't restart a concert repeatedly on the day he is to perform.
That it is the source of the curse, and that the ancestor of the hunters inhumanely experimented on the inhabitants of the village.
Your analogy makes no sense. the pianist does practice his song over and over until he can play it well, which is exactly what that jap is doing to beat Orphan under these conditions. The point is that no one is ever good at something without putting in some work
>mfw I missed all the fun because of work
Listen to the guy pacing in front of the hamlet.
I am saying he is just doing it back to back times until he gets it perfect just once then uploads that.
The Pianist practices and practices until he can get it right every time.
sex != gender
I think that the MP makes it worse.
Kos cursed hunters with Vermin. Mergo pulled MP close. MP agitates the Vermin causing a widespread and rapid outbreak versus the typical few rare cases here and there.
Can someone explain that to me? Are you in a dream state? Or are you awake when you explore Yarnham?
When you use Hunter's Mask it says you "reawaken". Does that mean you are asleep? But then Djura says that you dream which implies the Hunter's Dream is the dream state.
According to the wiki, transformed tonitrus has 1.4x arc scaling and 1.7x bolt damage
Wouldn't that make this the strongest weapon ingame on an arc build with bolt gems?
Why do i never hear about it?
One theory is that you project yourself into the real world from the Hunter's Dream, which is why you "awaken" in the real world and why Bold Hunter's Marks allow you to "reawaken" at the nearest Lamp.
I think you are astrally projecting the whole game. You project yourself into the Hunter's Dream or are pulled into it somehow and that serves as a hub for you to travel between different planes of existence which is why you can go to the nightmare realm.
I dunno know though
Do Vermin drop from co-oping kin bosses? Someone in these threads claimed no. Same with bosses from the Chalices.
So assuming the modern outbreak of the beast curse is caused by Kos, that would explain why Kin bosses and chalice bosses don't drop vermin.
Anybody notice any Berserk influences in this game? I didn't know Miyazaki was a fan of Berserk or JoJo, but the former is somewhat apparent.
>The doll has eyes inside her eyes, just like that egg from Berserk
Is this your first Souls game? Berserk references have been sprinkled all throughout the Souls games and Bloodborne. You'd have to be totally unfamiliar with Berserk to not see them.
Dreams aren't zzz dreams. You're travelling to the dimension of the Great Ones in "dreams". They'll often reflect reality in some fashion(but don't have to) e.g. the Hunter's Nightmare reflecting a distorted version of past Yharnam or the Hunter's Dream being a replica of Gehrman's real world workshop. Nightmares can even have people in them who have long past in the real world(Micolash, Orphan, probably Gehrman, Maria, Ludwig, Laurence, basically everyone in the Hunter's Nightmare)
>I didn't know Miyazaki was a fan of Berserk
Where the hell have you been?
Nope, this isn't my first Souls game. You are correct, I am very unfamiliar with Berserk considering I had just started reading it this summer...and I gave up when they got to the flashback arc because it was so long.
I know the plotline of Berserk though, from reading wiki's.
Big fan of Souls, just didn't read Berserk. I heard some guy got off a canoe or something recently.
>Someone in this thread claimed
And I'm claiming that if you eat all four umbilical cords you unlock a secret boss that comes after Moon Presence. Beating this boss unlocks the fourth ending where you create a new dream altogether, then Eileen comes back to life before giving you a blowjob. Then all the amygdala come together and spell "Lucifer is a faggot" in the sky
I have a hard time reading or watchign build up to something you know that is inevitabley sad/tragic. Like Griffith. Maybe if I hadn't been spoiled, but to be honest this manga is like 30 years old so no way I could had been not spoiled.
So I wonder where in the world of Bloodborne the fishing hamlet is. We really don't get any info about places other than Yharnam and the immediate surrounding areas. If the hamlet is far away from Yharnam, that might mean other places have connections with the Great Ones in some ways. Really the only reason Yharnam is important is because of blood healing and how the healing church and Byrgenwerth are trying to force evolution.
Lately I've been screwing around with making an Arcane build for AYY LMAO.
And I've been wondering, what is the best weapon there is, for such low stats. I've been using a Saw Cleaver with Fire. A Saw Cleaver with Lightning. And an Arcane Cane. I mean, until you get the Tentacles.
Ignoring everything but the stats in pic related. What weapons should I be looking into for those extra few stat points -- bearing in mind they'd be for my Fire and Lightning damage. I figured I'd put 5 points into Skill, and get two Church Picks considering they do both Serrated, Holy and Piercing. Giving me all groups of damage. Serrated and Fire for beasts. Church weapon for other shit. Lightning and Piercing for Aliens. Plus it has an amazing move set, high stagger, and long distance.
Then that leaves me with two extra points I can put into endurance.
What do you guys think?
The Hamlet, as you see it in the DLC, is above the Hunter's Nightmare.
Where it might have been located in the Waking World, who knows, but it was probably close to the Burger joint.
>kill almost everyone in two swings
THIS IS RADICAL
Yes, thank you. Huh, I guess I remembered the pic being different, like more chibi and more stylized.
Whatever, this is just as cute. I always liked her theme, it was so eerie and fitting. Perfect for my DnD sessions.
>Use same monitor for ps4 as I do for PC

this qt3.14 right hree
I bet people who like the doll also choose Rei over Asuka.
Because you know, Rei is an alien being inside of a human clone/husk. I can see the appeal of the doll now and why people make her their waifu.
Loch Shield and transformed attack of this
How do I approach this fight? He already killed me thrice and my potions and bullets is gone now. Having to grab money to buy potions and bullets every time I die sounds very cumbersome.
Doesn't feel like he's too hard, I'm just not good enough yet.
Nice! You remembered!
Here's a cookie for being such a good child! :^)
I wanted to use bowblade ever since I saw it in the DLC trailer but apparently it's cancer?
What about boomhauer?
it's not cancer
my charged attack strike at 750
Why isn't there more art like this?
Stuff like the burning of Old Yharnam, or the Mensis Ritual going wrong
or right?would be great.
Why does durability even fucking exist in this game? You're never at any risk of being unable to get the 600 souls or whatever it costs to repair from broken, and it just adds a bit of busywork in the dream (and the occasional boss fight where your weapon breaks halfway through).
if i use the bow, it doesn't take damages
I still have chicago for close combat
Do people like the doll because she's basically an Elderitch God within a human made vessel?
Or is the doll something else?
Gehrman built the doll to serve as his "avatar" in the dream, but failed. His mania was "curious" because he wanted to be Maria - that's why he got a set of clothes made for playing dress up.
Gehrman was a crossdresser, not a dollfucker.
Does the doll actually love you or is she just really nice to you like Maiden in Black was?
What do you mean by, "mania was curious"? Specifically, what is mania?
Some people like the Doll because she's hard wired to love you unconditionally and can never say no to you. Some people like the Doll because she's a pleasant reprise from all the blood and beasts. Still others like the Doll simply because she dresses well.
What she is, and what you think of her, hardly matters. She'll always be willing to help, in any capacity.
Among the first hunters, all students of Gehrman, was the lady hunter Maria. This was her hunter's garb, crafted in Cainhurst.
Maria is distantly related to the undead queen, but had great admiration for Gehrman, unaware of his curious mania
Well, that's very nice. But is the Doll real? I mean, is there some entity inhabiting the doll?
Or is the doll part of your delusion? The doll only moves and talks when you have 1 Insight on you. I assume Insight is like a sanity meter and the more Insight you have the more crazy you've become. If this is true, I adore this mechanic because it adds to the lore quite a bit.
What is curious mania, I do not know the term.
>"Hunters have told me about the church. About the gods, and their love. But... do the gods love their creations? I am a doll, created by you humans. Would you ever think to love me? Of course... I do love you. Isn't that how you've made me?"
Good thing there's Maiden in Black. I like her voice a lot.
All the questions you ask pertaining to the Doll are left unanswered, perhaps deliberately. All that we know for sure is that she was given something resembling life through the power of the dream, that she loves the hunters unconditionally, and that she can manipulate whatever Blood Echoes are, and convert them into power.
She also shares some sort of link to Maria, the person her appearance was based on, as when we kill Maria, the Doll tells us that she feels as though a great weight has been lifted. She also displays some sort of emotion when we give her a hair ornament, but as to why, no one really knows for sure.
I decided to finally give a ARC shitter build a go, and as a true shitter should, I ground myself up to 50 ARC very early on. Fast forward a few encounters and I'm at Rom. I summoned the Mensis scholar to help distract the smaller spiders, then dropped in. I expected a bit of a fight, given the potential damage from the smaller spider versus my relatively frail character so I was a little concerned.
Then I pulled out my Flamesprayer and melted Rom in one burst.
No phase 2
No phase 3
Dead in ten seconds
The Bonfire didn't spawn
>looking up what kind of builds people are making lately

>think the people saying it will eventually get roasted by replies
>everybody compliments them instead
>open up another thread
>they actually make builds at levels like 150 and 200
I seriously cannot wrap my head around that place. It's like the whole thing is a mockery of reality, like it's a giant act or pretend play that nobody told me about, jesus christ.
Is this your first time playing? Find Queen Yarhnam or Hunter's mark out of there and drop again.
Cause it's a hugbox in there and none of them get into proper fightclubs to get their shitty builds stomped on.
Maria's seemingly self-imposed duty was to guard the secret of the Hunter's Nightmare, which was the ransacking and violation of the Fishing Hamlet at the hands of the Old Hunters. Killing Maria on your way to the Hamlet means that she no longer has to worry about guarding the gate.
I have no earthly clue why the Doll would feel anything from this, as they are clearly two distinct entities. The only thing that meaningfully relates them in any capacity would be their appearance.
I want to make a kos parisite build. Is there anything special about it? I assume the scaling is purely ARC right? For a bl ~100 build would I wanted to just dumped vit and arc, with maybe a little end?
My very first character finished the whole game at level 73
I wasn't managing my level on that character, I intended to not have a cap for it.
How do people even get that high without farming for hours with the sole purpose of inflating their level.
>he more Insight you have the more crazy you've become.
Its more that you can comprehend the world better. More insight means more knowledge about the universe and what it hides. More insight means its easier to lose your mind and go mad though.
Did Queen Yahrnam not appear? You can just ignore the moonlake lamp since it doesn't do anything meaningful.
Cause bad people are bad at stamina and risk management. The only VIT level you need is to prevent one-shots from the hardest to dodge attack.
>open up another thread
>people are unironically talking about honor as if the "duel ettiquette" was actually an universaly enforced thing and saying how much they despise those who "break the rules"
Why can't I stop browsing this? I am getting SO fucking visibly mad but I just can't stop reading this shit. Is this what getting pleasure out of sheer rage feels like?
Difference being the Chikage, Bow and Bloodletter all do pure blood damage when transformed, and those modes scale heavily off of Bloodtinge. The Riflespear and the Reiter both get next to nothing from Bloodtinge, compared to Skill.
Close, but actually: "We fail to realize our own latent potential, until the moment it is lost, and we sense its absence. Ironically, this is the very nature of insight, like the moment one licks one's own blood, only to be startled by its sweetness." - Brain Fluid
Chikage's only good in bloodmode and most people don't bother with bow's blade form when they can just whip out the chikage. Only Bloodletter has a decent trick and untricked modes. That said, you are losing only 15% damage if you don't go full korea on off shape gems.
I bet that they barely even know how to dodge. They probably must wear something like an HP rune and two +vials runes and basically spam r1 at the boss while healing in his face without dodging anything. They also must probably change sets for each boss fight. Basically bruteforcing and outhealing it.
>people who bow to me when I'm a tenctacle monster with a cauliflower head
I don't fucking get this. Does it look like I'm here to have an "honorable" duel with you? You don't bow to monsters in the game, so don't bow to me when I look just like one.
Or do and let me get a free hit in.
20 END on higher level builds is actually very nice as it frees the slot for 7% phys damage resist rune.
You know phys% gems affect the tricked forms as well right?
korean gem farming really isn't necessary anyway, the droplets from the singing brain ladys are usually enough except in special elemental circumstances.
It's the other way around.
Rei is a parody of girls like the doll. She's supposed to be a disgusting, awkward version of them.
But because fat nerds can't grasp that and have no comparative frame of reference, they ended up loving Rei because they saw in her what she was supposed to denigrate.
>use everything i can to win vs invader
>instant hate mail
i just dont get it, you are INVADING me, why should i refrain from doing certain stuff
Am I misunderstanding this or is it implying that we are already full of insight and we just discover we have it bit by bit?
>murdering honorable Frontier invaders with a single charged attack of MLGS on 99 ARC while they are bowing
>pulling out 680 AR lighting Saif when they invade next time
There's no better feeling.
Kinda happy i've made my BL148.
You have over 10% less stamina than base with 1 20% rune. 10 levels is easy to spare when you are 140 but for a 43 or 66 twink it's too much to give up for damage stats.
Yeah, I'm comparing 27% to 31% korean gems.
I always make a case to be as much as a fucking asshole as possible when people bow to me while I'm invading. From aggroing Mensis spiders while blocking the way out of the room to elixirs.
I spend so much time invading and I have yet to receive a single fan mail on this game though, dunno why. I got SO much shit on my hyper archer build on Demon's Souls that one shot literally everything with a 1071 atk compound sticky bow with white arrows and a graverobber's ring to be invisible.
>throw a single durability down gem on Saif
>it breaks as fast if not faster than the tonitrus
You're confused. The original point was that the Riflespear and Reiter counted as Bloodtinge weapons, when they get very little benefit from Bloodtinge. No one's arguing that Phys % up gems don't affect blood damage, but the blood scaling on the gun forms of both the Riflespear and the Reiter is extremely lacking.
No, it's realizing that the Great Ones are trying to adopt us and embracing it to turn into wonderful old butterfly men. It's why people with high insight turn into cauliflowers that can speak with Great Ones and those with low insight has high beasthood and turn into beasts.
>I got SO much shit on my hyper archer build on Demon's Souls that one shot literally everything with a 1071 atk compound sticky bow with white arrows and a graverobber's ring to be invisible.
I miss red tearstone ring and the equivalents. Hyper archers were fun as fuck in
But they're still bloodtinge weapons, even if the riflespear sucks.
The Reiter is the best weapon in the game though, I just wish they fixed the arcane not scaling on it but they never did
Neither Rei nor Asuka are likable at all. They're both mean-spirited satires of pre-existing character archetypes.
Nerds somehow manage to overlook that fact and end up seeing those archetypes in them, even though they've been horribly twisted by Anno's sick mind.
what annoys me the most is that durability is only annoying. It's basically free to repair, so it's never something you have to worry about. All it does is make you shit a brick every time you read "weapon at risk" and change to your shitty secondary
I'll never understand how anyone could be so trusting that they lock themselves into an animation around another player who'll probably kill them, just for the sake of giving a "Hello" to the person they're about to kill/be killed by. It's utter madness.
Ah, it makes perfect sense now. So I was right when I said more insight means a better understanding of the universe. It also means you are a more evolved human
if you consider turning into an alien evolving.
>having trouble even beating FRC bosses once
>people here just farming them 30+ tries with no issues
How the fuck do you farm gems god damn
I always just used the dragonslayer bow, it usually killed in one counterhit or two regular ones. It was hilarious seeing a host put up their shield in a "lol i got 100% phys you can't do shit" stance and then knocking them off the edge they didn't realise they were standing next to.
Arcane reiter was my dream build since the start of the game. it's even in the official guide that it's awesome.
I think they got spooked when they had to nerf the arcane riflespear because it was broken and decided fuck the Reiter as well.
>mean-spirited satires of pre-existing character archetypes
DeS had the most fun builds by far. I love how you could be as much as an asshole as you could possibly want in that game.
Scraping spear, acid cloud, baby's nail, hyper builds and being invisible while free aiming a bow on a hyper build to one shot a guy who couldn't even see you miles away was the shit.
I really wish they end up remastering this.
It was also the only game that got invasions right. You got your stones really early on without needing to go out of your way for them and it was very straightforward. You also had a real incentive to actually invade and coop since ghost form made you lose half your HP. They only made multiplayer worse with each sequel, aside from bloodborne's password system that eliminates the bullshit you have to go through just to play with a friend.
i have a 50skill build and even then it takes 4 parries per watcher and each hit does 80% of my hp
I DIDN'T EVEN GET A SINGLE GEM THAT SURPASSED HAMLET BRAINS UNTIL FRC CHALICES
should have just stuck with those desu senpai
i don't even LIKE pvp
I'm trying to get the 20% stamina rune which is in a Lower Loran chalice dungeon, but I keep getting the 'requirements not met' error message. I just made the Lower chalice myself, isn't that all you have to do to use other people's glyphs?
If arcane reiter projectiles were to scale from ARC as well, that thing would be fucking broken on 99 ARC builds with scaling gems. It would probably shoot for so many damage it would put ay other firearm to shame.
Rei is a parody of the princess archetype, Asuka is a parody of the action girl archetype. Both are purposefully designed to translate their respective archetype into a more realistic but totally repulsive personality.
By that line of logic, the Kirkhammer is a skill weapon because it has a D scaling for skill. I get what you're going for, but it's easier to define a weapon by it's apparent dominant stat, even if it's not "pure".
Living Failures have the coolest attack I have seen in a From game. Summoning outer space to blast you with meteors is so fucking cool.
The fact that papers add flat damage to the bullet means I can hit 200+ damage on my SKL builds with no BLT. I shudder to think what nailing someone with 400+ Fire damage bullets after being nailed with an Oil Urn.
Slow walking fatroll death machine is still the funniest shit i've ever done in DS1.
Chaos pharis bow alone was so fucking damaging most hosts started to panic after receiving a single shot from max distance.
Shit, i have like 250 hours on him alone.
>yfw ds3 is going to have a prompt for hosts that says "x wants to invade is this ok y/n"
>n sends you back to your world
>there will never be another welcome to dark souls event for ds3 because they're going to ruin the invasion system somehow
>tfw i got to invade and kill dsp on his ds2 run
If the test is anything to go by it's gonna be the exact same bullshit as bloodborne, meaning you're gonna face ganksquads all the time. Except this time there won't be nightmare areas because there is no bell maiden there.
The people playing these games nowadays are fucking pussies. Just yesterday on /v/ I saw a guy getting mad as all fuck at a webm of someone bullying a host in bloodborne and even said that what he did was eligible for a "report of griefing" on PSN. These are the fucking babies that call themselves fans of these games nowadays.
>ds3 is going to have a prompt for hosts that says "x wants to invade is this ok y/n"
>won't be nightmare areas because there is no bell maiden there.
RIP every gimmick invasion character.
>no more iron golems
>no more patches
>no more tarkus
>no more dickass thief
>no more sl16 RPwalking darkwraith
spell spamming Royal Sorcerer Navlaan
>no more fun for actual invaders
I read yesterday that host gets 60% (30% more than in BB) health advantage over invaders.
Any truth to this?
Didn't they say at some point that the way it was setup in the Network Tests was specifically to test how bad things got with lots of people in the same world?
I remember that the max was Host + 4 whites + 2 reds, and remarkably the latency and framerate were fine. That said, I don't think they'll keep the limit to invasions. Feel free to rub it in my face if I'm wrong, but I think they'll allow for single hosts to be invaded in the full game.
>summoned to someone versus defiled amy on my 99 ARC build
>battle ends in like 30 seconds after i repeatedly slam the goddamn things for thousands of damage with ACB
He picked up 4 Ritual Blood (2)
If you're talking about Dark Souls 3, then the way it worked was that your max health was raised as a host in ember form, by something like x0.45. Enough to be glaringly and painfully noticeable.
There's a waning bolt gem in Yahargul, and they drop from silverbeasts at nightmare frontier. You're better off getting two fire radials and a fire waning and using that against everything instead since bolt radials are pretty much impossible to get outside of the Hamlet and the CRF Dungeons.
Top gemmed HMLS with 99 ARC has over 400 pure arcane damage which roughly translates into 1100 damage on beam alone, even more against enemies with weak arc resistance.
It's pretty shit in pvp though, but at the same stats you can wield over 800 AR lighting LHB which will deal arguably more damage than physical version on 50/50 thanks to shit lighting resist of most armors.
Yep. I blood bullet the moment I get into the world too and if the host is playing passive I run off and use the HP regen of both my offhand weapons to get it all back.
He can drop offshapes once in a blue moon but no. Bolt 23.1% radials from CRF Isz hunters are the best bolt radials, followed by the 20.3% ish radials from the elders in the Hamlet.
I mean, yeah, the PvE will be a great experience.
But I don't play these games as much as I do because I like doing the same thing over and over.
I do it because I love theory crafting awesome and fun builds for PvP, I like finding creative ways to fuck with hosts when I invade.
I'd probably end up finishing my first playthrough and just shelfing it for the rest of ever if PvP was worthless.
This is just bad advice though. He should farm triangle elementals and cold abyssal radials or one abyssal radial and one waning from the pthumeru elder.
You can get 26.3% elemental triangles easily by killing a lone watcher after the lamp in layer 2 of fnh9ctui
ok I actually looked at the pastebins a bit and 32.6% seems like the highest for blunt, which is like 15% more damage if you get 3 but I donno if it's worth the hassle, I killed watchers a dozen times or so to get my 27.2% and never saw a blunt gem drop
Your setup should be a scaling radial, 27.2% bolt and an abhorrent abyssal waning. Gets you the most AR at least, don't know how it ends up with multipliers. Works good on the saif.
One elemental triangle. They're the only ones that have reliable 27.2%
I made my arcane character just to do the same things you do in your webms. I took it a step further and got the milkweed rune, which was a nightmare, I still gotta go through some chalice dungeons before I can properly emulate my idol
Bolt weapons, especially saif, are best with abhorrent's abyssal though
So 2 cold abyssals and then abhorrent's waning abyssal or if you're korean enough, 2 abhorrent abyssals (one waning, one off-shape) and a cold abyssal
>a dozen times
Boy, have I got news for you
What's your weaponfu, /bbg/, and then which weapon is your mistress?
My weaponfu is Kirkhammer but sometimes I just have to use the Reiter.
Sorry man, my connection to you is absolutely awful. Descendant was literally teleporting all over the place and making it insanely hard to fight properly. I'm gonna have to bow out.
If you're playing online, you should be prepared for, you know, online multiplayer things. Common sense there really. If you REALLY don't want to be invaded then play offline.
Mobs don't do jack shit, if the host is a PvE shitter then they're just gonna run and hide at the bonfire smashing any summon sign they can see anyway.
It does but the obnoxious farming is just plain out not worth it for a miserable +15 AR. I personally just stay with whatever non fucked up cursed abyssal radial I get without even bothering about lost version of the weapons.
Would rather have a bunch of abyssal radials I can switch on the fly instead of spending all that time to end up with like one or two "perfect" rolls.
On my arcane character I always have saif, whirligig saw, the wheel, kos parasite, ludwig's holy blade, threaded cane and kirkhammer all properly gemmed because I didn't bother with this.
Same goes for triangles. Why do the obnoxious elemental farming for 27.2% gems when I could just grab the 26.3% from the lone watcher with his exposed back on fnh9ctui in 1/10th of the time?
Farming arcane gems is a miserable thing if you care about these meaningless improvements that won't change anything. Hence why I always recommend these gems instead of the "perfect" ones.
I'm >>127437762 and like I said it's only gonna be shit if you make it shit.
You can either set for the 1% weaker gems that you get in 1/10th of the time or you can make your experience in this game miserable for a negligible AR advantage instead of having fun.
Twinks will always exist.
Fucking everyone else in the ass and ruining any fun in the game for a chance at stopping twinks, but probably won't, is naive and pointless. It's only going to ruin the game, as we're seeing happen as the games continue in the series.
If you're gonna fight an invader with a 2/3v1 and run into a sharkman and die, then you have no right to complain about it.
>tell that to the one mob that is actually harmful unlike pretty much anything else
The exception proves the rule, retard.
>doesn't matter when getting invaded by a twink
Except for the fact that by making things this way they are actually ENFORCING twinking. Just like in bloodborne, where normal invasions never happen because the invader is always at a massive disadvantage and always put against a ganksquad.
I used to do the same honestly, close enough is good enough. I farm 5pwuj now just because it's so easy with ayysplosion. I tend to have okay luck when it comes to farming, I've done
6 finalised arcane characters to dateand haven't had any issues getting abyssal bolt wanings from abhorrent or 27.2% elements from 5pwuj. I really love spelunking with arcane characters just because you shit on everything. Even more fun when /bbg/ tags along.
Gosh anon I'm blushing. Here's my Micolash if you want it.
Literally the only example you've got though. Your next best option is to bodyblock a doorway so the host is between you and mobs, which is reliable in only a handful of areas.
Indeed. The only weapon people recomend this one for is LHB but I tested it out against a cold abyssal radial with +15 bolt and I found out the abyssal radial is just better by a small margin, but better still. This gem is not the best one for anything.
>invaded by a wheeldash twink in frontier while doing a new character
>he kills me with a single dash
>mfw switching to my BL78 arcane build with 620 AR Saif and offshapes in kos parasite and murdering faggot at least 4 times by hosting there in ng+ frontier
Twink busting is fun.
The Parasite farm is pretty mild. Elder drops Abyssals pretty consistently, made quicker by savescumming. He's also easy as fucking hell for arcane builds because blacksky eye staggers him. One Abyssal, one 23% Arcane radial from bone ash hunters, and one 27% Arcane triangle from isz Watchers. Not very time consuming. Hardly korean
cool cause I mean, I'll pvp on a skill build with 25% gems because 2% can't really make that much of a difference. I wanted to be sure that parasite builds would be fine without top tier gems before I committed to a build of it.
The funny thing is that just yesterday I saw a witcher fan saying how he was shocked it sold so well because, his words, "it didn't have mass appeal".
Nope. It has outstanding writing but as a game itself it's as well designed as assassin's creed and I'm not even exagerating here. Gameplay and controls are downright terrible.
>Gameplay and controls are downright terrible.
that is a meme. it blows blunderborne combat right out of the water in every way.
>witcher 3 controls terrible
big complaint I see, I had it too. I came from BB to W3 and got fucking wrecked, severely. It took several hours for me to adjust to the combat but once I did it was fluid and worked very well. The combat itself is excellent when you play it right. Other stuff was shit, like getting stuck on terrain while riding a horse or the walking system being fucked when trying to pick stuff up, but they fixed that in a patch.
Going from BB to witcher was like going from DaS2 to BB. I tried to carry over my style of gameplay and got raped in the ass for it.
60 is nothing. bl1 ~100 is optimal. You get pvp anywhere and you avoid the autist tier bl150 faggots with korean gems. you also get the best of PvE summoning. Unless you actually like helping actual brand new players doing NG for the first time.
