"hurtbox" is a good term for clarification.
If not for it, would a move with "good hitboxes" mean the striking area is large or the damagable area is small? With the hitbox/hurtbox separation you get to be a bit more specific.

Also, making the collision box hittable would suck. In the picture you've provided, the dark blue box is the collision box. It would be way easy to hit, but if it was made smaller characters would be able to get too close.

NRS released a patch iirc DAYS before a major. It felt like they were completely aware of the tournament season dates because they had ESL going on as well. I dont know if the patches were mindful of ESL over FGC stuff but CCup has been pretty much working with all the big tournaments. It just doesn't seem logical to mess with your money.

I read through the links on the sticky; but it seems like PS4 fightstick info is still pretty limited. As someone who is still getting into fighting games, how much should I expect to pay for a fightstick for my PS4? The madcatz SFV branded ones seem pretty good, but are around $200. Are the cheaper HORI ones worth picking up; and is there a price floor I shouldn't go below?


Also, since the PS4 uses USB for input, is it reasonable to assume that my stick will also work on my PC? Maybe not natively, but I would assume someone could get it working (but not if I pick up a bad/unused stick).

What setup you guys recommend using for Guilty Gear on PC with keyboard? I use QWE+space for movement and UIO JKL for punches/kicks in USFIV. But since GGXrd doesn't allow me to use spacebar I've been using WASD, but I'm still looking for a good setup, any tips?

The Hori Real Arcade Pro sticks are usually around 150€ (probably 150$ if you're american), those are the cheapest you should go.

People say GG is leading to SolxElphelt but that's completely wrong in my opinion. Sol likes/cares about Elphelt in some way, but not that way and she's just a copy of Aria. I'm sure they are gonna find some anime bullshit to resurrect or bring back the original Aria to pair her with Sol.

If you have one of the BenQs that is made for games then you're fine.

For games you should get an i5, a 4gb video card and 8gb of ram.

If you're doing 3d renders or whatever you might actual use out of an i7 but you'd be better off just upgrading to 16gb RAM unless you're a professional

At least I have to be thankful that fighting games are just competitive multiplayer games and nothing else. The story is just ridiculous garbage. There is no narrative being shoved down my throat by the developers trying to tell me how hard it is to be LGBT or black. The developers don't imply anything by having a certain race being top tier in every game.
