Man, I forgot how much the game skyrockets in quality when you get to Skellige. Especially visually.
From the poet view, what i like from Triss personality is that she is caring about people, yes! and she has that sensibility, she put an artificial shield to protect herself from her feelings, and i like to remove that shield and like a dagger, touching her heart, troubling her, exposing the feelings she tries so much to hide. I like to see her doubt. I like seeing suffering and joy dancing together in her heart, i like to see the tears she hides. I like her artificial confidence, her artificial self esteem, i like how she shows that humanity has hope, she is herself a hope without having so much, i like the light in her heart, i like the light in her eyes, i like that she knows that suffering is normal and even can be pleasing, but depends for which sort of suffering for sure, the one that come from big emotional joy.
I like her view of acting, her diplomatic mind. I like the forms of her body, i like her eyes, i like her lips, i even like her big neck lol. The reason of why i am here its because
it's so pleasuring to enter in the profundness of her heart.
Triss is much more human than Yen, she is not afraid to show her emotions, in all her missions with Geralt, you can see the amazing chemistry they have, you can almost feel the love in the air. I love how strong she is helping the mages yet at the same time insecure about Geralt wanting to be with her. It is such an amazing moment when Geralt tells her he loves her and she decides to stay. Going into TW3 I was afraid CDPR will force Geralt to be with Yen, but the way they did the Triss romance is amazing, all the scenes she has are so much better than those with Yen, and the new dialogue is also amazing and is really showing how much Gerlat really loves Triss.
I completely agree my favorite Triss Romance quote was
"But it turned out my amnesia'd changed nothing. Wanted to be with you before, during, after - always."
So romantic, Triss always brings out the best in people. :3
I much prefer the scene in the tent before the last battle, just giving her a hug warms my heart, she is so adorable in that scene, making a concerned face as Geralt mentions how days in Kovir will be short and cold, only to see her worries swept away as Geralt starts talking about nights being long and how he can't wait. Triss is such a kind and romantic soul, she deserves to be loved.
Triss is more beautiful and feminine than Yen.
Triss is a kind person that worries about others.
Triss is not afraid to show her vulnerable side.
Triss can be both serious and funny.
Triss would do anything for Geralt.
Geralt himself says that Triss is better for him.
>Geralt only loves Triss
>Ciri love her new mom
Ciri doesn't need a mom, most of her life she spent taking care of herself, she is a grown up and will accept whatever Geralt decides to do with his life. Yenfags would prefer if she was crying "I want my mommy" when Geralt tells her he is going to be with Triss, but luckily CDPR made Ciri mature enough to understand that it's his choice and that Geralt deserves to be happy with whoever he wants to, even though she would be more happy if he was with Yen.
When Witcher 2 was being developed? CD Projekt not only claimed they “weren’t afraid” of Dragon Age, but - in one of the most galling displays of developmental ego I’ve yet witnessed - claimed they only develop “true RPGs”. (A description they’re already positioning as a tagline for Cyberpunk 2077)
Even if you’re a fan: How you can conceivably defend a company that claims an ACTION RPG so clearly derived from BioWare games like Mass Effect that the first Witcher game literally licensed its game engine… as a “true RPG…”? Is a testament to the shocking idiocy of so many of the knuckle-dragging keyboard warriors that so often comprise the CD Projekt fanboy horde. ‘True RPG’, my aching ass! When you really break it down, Witcher 3 features a minor variation on Fallout’s PERKS system, for fuck’s sake! You don’t even level up your character’s attributes!
I started off thinking ‘Andrzej Sapkowski is a plagiarist… but his sins are his own, and don’t reflect poorly on CD Projekt.’ In truth? CDPR helped draft the very first maps of The Witcher, were the first company to actually formally copyright the name ‘Witcher’, and made one of the central plot points of your ‘game of the year’, The Witcher 3… one that was transparently stolen from Elric of Melniboné! (Right down to the name) Any way you slice it? CDPR are nearly as much to blame as Sapkowski for the omnipresent plagiarism in the Witcher franchise.
the fuck are you going on about, Ciri always considered Triss her "mother figure" since she was little and yes that includes in the games. I agree its good CDPR didn't make her cry for "Yennefer" but to say she DOESNT need a mom is incorrect, she already has a maternal role model and thats triss. its something that delusional Yennfags don't seem to be albe to grasp imo
After reading the books I got the feeling that Yennefer took advantage of Ciri's loneliness to implant herself as a "mother figure". I don't know how to explain it but it's like Yen wanted a daughter desperately, saw Ciri feeling abandoned (by geralt, by her dead family and kingdom, isolated by the other girls) and used that to present herself as the motherly figure. Notice how in the game Ciri barely pays attention to Yen: she has grown out of it and doesn't need that toxic relationship anymore.
Not hating on Yen though, I think she did it kinda subconsciously but still manipulated Ciri.
>How you can conceivably defend a company that claims an ACTION RPG so clearly derived from BioWare games like Mass Effect that the first Witcher game literally licensed its game engine… as a “true RPG…”?
Each game is either good or bad, I either enjoy it and play the shit out of it, or I don't like it and don't care.
They can call it RPG, FuckPG, Action Mega Dick PG, I don't give a fuck about some labels.
Games have evolved and are now often a mixture of more genres.
Game developers should never confine themselves to a certain set of rules just so their game can fit perfectly in some lame definition of an RPG game made in the fucking 80's or even before.
older sister figure CAN also be a mother figure you autist
wow, I hadn't thought of it that way but you are absolutely correct. It is even worse because before manipulating ciri she enslaved Geraltl (with the djinni) its good that the game lets you undo the damage at least but it sucks how you can't tell yennefer to fuck off for good
People who designed and wrote Triss should get medals, they truly created a character that leaves no one indifferent. The polarizing and beautiful Triss Merigold is my favorite character.
>How do I unlock the threesome with Yennefer and Triss? I tried to be nice to both but I always get a bad ending on that scene.
You need to make a sleeping potion and put it in the wine before you give the bottle to them, they will pass out and then you can have a threesome with their limp bodies without getting tied up to the bed.
I like their love declarations for one another.
Yes, it's really cute! And Triss's vision of the little cottage for her and Geralt looks so comfy. They're gonna lead such a stable and lovely life, just lots of cuddling and eating cakes and making love until they grow old.
Why so negative? Just take a deep breath and let the Triss love flow through you, she's worth it.
They are perfect for each other. Thank you CDPR for giving us the best couple in gaming.
I agree, and I think taht such a great couple deserves a separate expansion, it would be so awesome to have Kovir expansion with Geralt and Triss. Imagine all the amazing stories that could be told about their life there.
Oh it's you again. Nevermind then.
Wait, are you being ironic now? I thought you were the other legit Triss fan besides myself. Well, in any case I wouldn't mind a Citadel type of DLC for Witcher 3, especially with it being the end of Geralt's story. Getting one last chance to spend some more time with our favorite characters would be nice.
she shouldn't be an "enemy" in any game, but you do bring up a good point. Triss appeared in TW1 prologue and TW2 prologue, she should have appeared in TW3 prologue as well. there's no reason why she should have been replaced by yennfer aside from fan service. kinda pisses me off.
Cerys is the better ruler and makes the most sense for Geralt's character.
>implying Geralt is just gonna run off after a monster attack instead of figuring out what it was first
It's supposed to be dreary and depressing.
I'm going to marry Soleil_Meurtri!
Is there a stronger scatomancer than Triss in the witcher universe? She is literally the best. :3
There's no real Trissfags in the thread. Just people memeing and copying posts from other forums.
Bioware doesn't make RPGs, they make power fantasies.
>I am. I just like to ironically exaggerate my posts to trigger the anti-Triss crowd.
That doesn't trigger us because we assume you're memeing. Just saying you actually like Triss as a person is far more triggering if that's what you're going for.
Is that diarrhea?
>So you've forgotten all about her?
>tfw I hadn't read the books yet and thought she meant Shani
the deepest lore
Also what the fuck is that guy doing in the background
Don't forget having a beautiful daughter together! :3
>Wait, are you being ironic now? I thought you were the other legit Triss fan besides myself. Well, in any case I wouldn't mind a Citadel type of DLC for Witcher 3, especially with it being the end of Geralt's story. In case anyone doubted Trissfags were the Bioware audience
>wanting an indulgent cringeworthy fanservice waifu extravaganza instead of a real expansion
>There's no real Trissfags in the thread. Just people memeing and copying posts from other forums.
I'm a real Triss fan and I'm proud of it. Call me waifufag all you want, I love The Witcher universe and Triss is my favorite character.
>but normal people don't cry for their "mom" when they're adults, which is what yennfags expected for some reason
People with good relationships with their parents value spending time with them as well as their advice and emotional support.
>Fuck her, Iorveth when?
Why not both?
>Fuck Saska and iovwreth! We need more lovely Miss Merigold!
-CDPR forums, May 2015
So I came across a bunch of peasants trying to hang a Nilfgaardian guy and I let them do it because I didn't really want to get into a big fight over some jackoff. Now I cant help but think I missed something. So what does that guy give me if I save him, the best gear in the game and a giant robot?
>I'm a real Triss fan and I'm proud of it. Call me waifufag all you want, I love The Witcher universe and Triss is my favorite character.
You're a waifufag m9
She's not remotely perfect.
>tfw you realize that Scoia'tael's speech at the Elven Bath scene in TW2 is actually about Geralt and Triss's relationship being a pale reflection of the reality of his love for Yennefer, an indulgent fantasy of Triss's trying to erase the past
>"A more silly and shallow tale I've never heard"
Probably not, no. These games rarely pull that kind of thing.
Saskia and Iorveth played their part in TW2, I don't give a fuck about them. Triss on the other hand is one of the main characters in The Witcher games and a love interest to Geralt, of course more people want content with Triss, and CDPR realized that.
lol saskia was killed off in a comic and iorveth was confirmed dead by marcin on twitter, so nice try you faggots. anyway, next triss patch WHEN
>of course more people want content with Triss
Waifufags aren't people.
>lol saskia was killed off in a comic
No she wasn't.
>and iorveth was confirmed dead by marcin on twitter,
No, he wasn't.
>anyway, next triss patch WHEN
Oh wait you're being ironic, nevermind. We used to get a guy that actually believed that posting here so I was confused.
>Triss is a supporting character, Anon, not a main character.
She is definitely one of the main characters in the games, if you fail or don't want to see that, well...that's your problem. For me Triss is the most important character in the trilogy after Geralt and if CDPR does an EE or a third expansion I hope it will have more Triss in it.
I fail to see how someone can claim that Triss is not one of the main characters in the games, it's like saying the same for Yen and the books. And yes, I'm here and I do exist.
>She is definitely one of the main characters in the games,
And this is for TW3, where she has more content than in TW2.
>I fail to see how someone can claim that Triss is not one of the main characters in the games,
Because they understand narrative structures.
>it's like saying the same for Yen and the books.
Yen is a main character in the games, too.
>not loving whispess no matter what form she appears in
No personality. She's just for waifufags that want a pretty face.
The best experience comes from reading all the books and playing all the games. That said that's not necessary to enjoy them. Ideally you should at least try to play all three games, as they're very cheap now. That said if any of the games are skippable, it's the first one.
Triss was there for Geralt and Ciri when they needed her in BoE, they were also there for her, she saved Geralt at Thanned, stopped the Rivia pogrom.
Triss was there for Geralt in TW1 to defend Kaer Morhen, she nursed him back after the first Azar Javed fight, she saved him from Adda, helped him defeat the Zeagul, fought by his side against Jacques de Aldersberg.
She was there for him in Flotsam, deflecting Scoia'tael arrows, she swore to help Geralt find Yen, and Geralt went after her when Letho kidnapped her, killed the whole Nilffgardian camp for her, she took Geralt's side against the lodge.
She helped Geralt find Ciri, helped at Kaer Morhen battle, saving Ciri's ass in the process, she helped find Phillipa, helped in the final battle against the Hunt.
Triss did many great things for Geralt and she deserves a happy ending she got in Kovir with him.
the other two are 10/10 tier but brewess is like a 8-9
She looks a little bit like Sarah Jessica Parker.
Hold my hand Triss, and I'll never let go.
WHEREEEEVER YOU AAAARE
I KNOW THAT THE FART WILL
man if only they had SFM models...
And the greatest diarrheamancer to ever live. Look at that shit pump.
And they lived happily ever after.
>Geralt: Triss my love, what's that dark stain running down your leg?
>Triss: What do you mea-no! NO!
>Triss looks down in horror to find runny shit gushing from out of the nightie she picked out just to delight Geralt
Then she wakes up alone in Kovir.
It was just a dream.
Thank you CDPR for choosing Triss over Yen for the first two games and thank you for the happy ending she got. I would also like to thank you for listening to us Triss fans and improving her romance, the new scenes are beautiful.
Even the ending slide is half assed and doesn't make sense.
>Geralt and Yen: Ends with pottery with a scene just like his dream in the prologue
>Geralt alone: He's lonely and poor forever. Not happy but at least somewhat plausible for his character.
>Geralt and Triss: I dunno, cakes and money I guess?
>Even the ending slide is half assed and doesn't make sense.
No, it's not, it shows a loving relationship between two individuals who care deeply for each other. His hand on her hip as she sews his wound shows how much they love each other.
>literally 15 minutes of screen time
Even when she was absent, she was the driving force that pushed Geralt forward, for my Gerlat the only thing that was important was finding Triss, who gives a fuck about Letho and the fate of The Northern Kingdoms. Triss's life is much more valuable.
To be fair even though she's absent for most of the game, Triss's kidnapping, Lodge affiliation, and betrayal of Geralt comprise a major subplot. Just not one that's intended to be developed in the sequel like Geralt's search for Yennefer, since it's largely wrapped up in TW2. They gave Triss a sort of redemption arc in TW3 but it's a fairly minor note in that game in terms of the main story.
>Even when she was absent, she was the driving force that pushed Geralt forward
Technically, the driving force as presented by the narrative was Geralt's lost memories really. The other motives are flavor the player can add on top of it, but recovering his memories is constant and consistent across any playthrough.
>for my Gerlat the only thing that was important was finding Triss, who gives a fuck about Letho and the fate of The Northern Kingdoms. Triss's life is much more valuable.
Reminder that there are people that actually believe this.
>Why doesn't she just use magic? Does she like jabbing him with needles?
Maybe he does.
>>literally 15 minutes of screen time
That's literally 15 more that what Yennefer got.
>tfw Eredin knows his men can't come up with this level of Spook because Nithral ransacked the spook budget
>That's literally 15 more that what Yennefer got.
No? Did you forget the flashbacks? I mean she's not in it much but she does hang over the whole plot after the end of the prologue, and she's introduced as a concept almost as soon as Geralt leaves his tent.
Yeah that whole subplot could use more development. Enhanced Edition when?
Well, the worst of the Witcher fanbase. They'd be par for the course in a Bioware fanbase. They just look worse in comparison to everyone else when there's not another giant waifufag lobby to accompany them.
>Reminder that there are people that actually believe this.
Of course that the life of a close friend and potential lover will be more valuable to Geralt than the outcome of rotten king's political shenanigans.
It would have been a lot cooler if you just left after the toast then found out the next day that Dijkstra had all three of them killed and had been declared Chancellor of Redania.
I meant more that "Triss is the driving force of the whole plot" but I can see how the greentext I stuck that comment under would be misleading.
>Somehow event as huge as killing a king goes completely without consequences for Geralt
All the witnesses that could connect him to it were dead weren't they?
>I would have been pissed because Roche didn't get enough screentime in W3
He'd get the same amount of screentime if that happened. You don't see him after that bit ever again regardless. What more do you want with him, anyway? His goals and Geralt's have diverged at this point. Him showing up at Kaer Morhen was already stretching it.
Would have been a real kick to the balls. I would have enjoyed it. Man there'd be a lot of rage, but that's the Witcher for you.
Yeah, that would at least be in character for him. Although I never could understand just handing over the north like they did. They must have had info about Emhyr's situation in Nilfgaard or at least have heard rumours.
>Although I never could understand just handing over the north like they did.
This has always been the Northern Realms Achilles heel. Each realm values itself more than the North as a whole, and without strong leadership each side sells everyone else out for its own benefit. Ever since Sodden, Emhyr's strategy has been attempts at divide and conquer to exploit this weakness, since the vigor of a united North has been shown capable of repelling the plodding, centralized, over-extended Nilfgaardian Empire.
>They must have had info about Emhyr's situation in Nilfgaard or at least have heard rumours
>implying Emhyr doesn't have a huge propaganda machine covering up all his weak places
I can understand Yen because no one likes her for her personality, it's just for people that want brunettes. But if you like redheads there is literally no reason to want anyone but Triss.
>this guy walks in and slaps your gf's ass
It was the most wonderful day of my life but then again every day with my wife is like that!
I hope our love never fades Triss
It really was, I hope everyone finds such bliss one day ;3 (other than Yenclucks of course)
they've always been so in love, it's so cute :3
It just shows you how much lighting makes a difference though. Even the textures look better in Skellige simply because everything has gorgeous lighting and shading.
>Geralt flirts with Yen even outside of dialogue options
This is hilarious.
>Blood and Wine needs to come out fast.
Like that is going to change anything, waifus have been to most discussed witcher related topic since TW3 came out, waifu fags aren't going anywhere, it's not like they have other reasons to live.
Why are Trissfags so militant? Like, what the fuck? I don't give a fuck if you like Triss but it's a shame /wtc/ has to be one of the many generals ruined by obnoxious waifufags.
Unfortunately,my first Witcher3 walkthrough is failed.Result is bad ending ,and I lost both of love interest.
Now,I'm going to second walkthrough from breaking point.
I want to take a Triss,if I can. Because,I feel it's a more natural story plot rather than take a Yen.
First of all, I'm player from "Witcher2".So, I don't have much knowledge about Yen.
But, according to Witcher2 story plot, Yen is kidnapped by wild hunter guys. And, Geralt
lost important part of his memory by some kind of accident. Letho helped Geralt from accident.
But he didin't tell about Yen to the Geralt at the ending scene. My Geralt just drank with Letho,
and good by.
Did Geralt recover his memory of love interest with Yen or Not? That's the most important point.
I think Geralt still forget about Yen in the Witcher3. Obviously, Witcher2 describes Geralt and
his new love mate Triss as good mood couple at the first sequence. And,also Geralt said like this,
"I'm tired of king foltest's guardian roll. I want to back to the nomal witcher life cycle. And,
live in somewhere with "Triss" peacefully." See? There is nothing "Yen" matter in the witcher2 story plot.
When I saw witcher2 ending scene, I think like this."All right, Geralt is going with Triss,
He'll protect her from any kind of threat.Because, she is important woman for him." Yen is no more
important woman for Geralt.Because he forget about Yen completely..... Then Withcher3 start!
"Haaai Geralt! I'M BACK !"
What the ?...terminator ? Who the fuck are you ? What the fuck is that woman in black ?
Did you come from someone's funeral? Where is Triiiiiss !!?
All right,Yen is back. But how can she escaped from horrible wild hunters hand ?
And, Yen can't make romance again with Geralt until she recovers all of his memory. There is nothing
quest which recover Geralt's old memory in the Witcher3. That means, there is no chance romace again
That's why witcher3 romance story is so nonsense.
To be honest with you lads I miss the time when waifu wars didn't exist.
I can't get W3 to run at over 60 FPS. I've set the framelimit to unlimited in the menu dialogue, and my windows desktop settings/nvidia control panel are all appropriately @ 144hz. Anyone have any ideas? Googling just gets me stupid ass answers of people asking if their 560 Tis can run the game at 60.
Anyone else having periodic issues posting? It keeps saying "Connection error"
Wouldn't it have been cool if instead of banning character discussion threads on their forums, CDPR just banned all waifufags?
>Aren't you able to kill Radovid before?
If Triss is a stronk independent womyn then so is Samus in Metroid: Other M.
He throws a bit of a shitfit though it varies a bit depending on what option you pic.
I feel your pain, Anon. I love long hair.
Ok this is really weird. Suddenly I can only post here on googlechrome. Firefox gives me "connection error" forever. Clearing the cache and rebooting the modem didn't help.
This. But the many variations of Gaunter's theme are also good.
Is that a little shrine dedicated to Gaunter near the signpost, too? And who the fuck taught those kids that song?
>>Geralt flirts with Yen even outside of dialogue options
>This is hilarious.
Geralt has his own personality and desires and is not designed to be self inserted to. Many new players in TW3 in particular don't seem to be able to understand that even if they do not like or trust Yennefer, Geralt does.
>Why are Trissfags so militant?
This thread is extremely hostile to them which makes them more extreme. They've also been bitter since release since the Triss content in TW3 was kind of half assed.
>What the ?...terminator ? Who the fuck are you ? What the fuck is that woman in black ?
This is one of my favorite Trissposts tbqh
It's copypasta from CDPR's forums
I'm not sure if it saves the children actually.
>To be honest with you lads I miss the time when waifu wars didn't exist.
Before TW3 was released it was all Roche vs. Iorveth husbando wars and they weren't any better.
>I can't get W3 to run at over 60 FPS.
It's unlikely you can see any difference beyond 60 FPS beyond the placebo effect. Some people can, but it's quite rare.
I bet Ciri would enjoy having a younger brother or sister.
>Haven't played since October
>Decide to start a new play through today
>Check in on thread to see what's new
>nothing new, just more waifu wars
Can't say I'm surprised!
It's pretty pathetic. Everyone participating in the waifu wars should feel bad, I don't know how they live with themselves.
Trissfag are like Brochefags were in TW2 days only even more numerous. They destroy all discussion, misunderstand the character they claim to love and freak out when anyone points out any personality flaws.
Dandelion would never write anything like the waterhag fic.
My ugfu :3
>tfw we could have gotten cool trophies like this in the game but we didn't
>trophies are never even mentioned in dialogue or given to the contract poster
>the meat hook on Geralt's starting armor never gets used
Just finished HoS for the first time, decided to save Olgeird. Got the Viper sword and obviously Iris and I thought that was pretty neat.
Then I looked up what happens if you let him die, and the Horn of Plenty sounds way fucking better then the two swords I got.
Seriously considering reloading, is it worth it?
>the books are bad anyway so it's ok for me to enjoy the crappy fan translations, it's not that I have such poor taste I can't tell the difference
This is the kind of logic Trissfags use, guys.
My bad, I forgot "fanfiction" was a meaningless buzzword now. What I meant is "this prose is incredibly matter of fact and flavorless, giving a very amateur appearance".
Nah. Plus you don't get the cool final dungeon. Though admittedly letting Gaunter have his way makes more sense than Geralt hazarding his soul for a complete asshole in a contest that realistically he shouldn't be able to win.
Step 1:Trissfag makes dumb statements blinded by love he feels for Triss.
Step 2:Triggered bookfags, Yenfags react and start attacking Trissfag.
Step 3:Trissfag responds to those attacks spewing waifu garbage.
Step 4:Bookfags and Yenfags accuse Trissfags of being obnoxious and aggressive while they are also acting the same and sometimes even worse.
Step 5: Any possibility for discussion ruined.
Conclusion: All you extremists are disgusting, go fuck yourselves.
Alternatively we just run all Trissfags out and short circuit the cycle.
>All you extremists are disgusting, go fuck yourselves.
I'm ok with being an anti-waifu, anti-stupidity extremist desu
>there would be no arguments,
This is 4chan.
>and no fucking waifu wars.
You realize most of the posts in this thread were ironic shitposting, right? And that genuine waifuwars are a fairly rare occurrence mostly these days, with just a resurgence over the Christmas holiday?
All this hate makes me love Triss even more, CDPR certainly doesn't hate Triss and I think they did an excellent job with her. I am also very grateful for the added dialogues. Thank you for listening to your fans.
>tfw there are still people that think fire is a substance in TYOL 2016
god damn classical greeks
They're amusing jabs at Trissfags. Autists have trouble with irony, sarcasm, and humor in general.
On 4chan, the intention of a post doesn't matter. Ironically pretending to be an idiot is no better than actually being one and all it does is attract actual idiots. You'd know this if you weren't autistic.
After reading this thread I would like to thank all the people for making my love for Triss grow as much as my dick thinking about her does. Triss dominated all discussions since TW3 came out for a reason, and that reason is simple...she is fucking amazing.
>I will never again wear a revealing neckline
>Gets banged by Geralt
>Immediately goes full slut in her outfits to the point the rest of the Lodge looks prude
Geralt has a Commander Shepard-tier dick when it comes to fixing people's problems
Repeat after me: Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss, Triss.
>fire catalyses a redox reaction, it does not cause damage the same way an immense heat would.
Quit while you're behind, Anon. Fire is not a goddamn enzyme. It's a bunch of light and heat being generated by any of a number of highly exothermic chemical processes in the presence of oxygen.
>'Didn't you know, witcher, that a virgin, that is one who's untouched, wouldn't be able to use the Force?'
Whelp on my re-read of the books I noticed this quote from Mousesack, so who did Ciri get the dick from unless they are counting Mistle? Maybe it was just the act of getting off that allowed her to get access to those powers. Granted the books are different from the game and book Ciri never used her REEEEEEEEEEEE powers, but still what do you think /wtc/? Did Galahad fuck her?
It's a myth but in my headcanon Galahad takes her to Camelot were she gets passed around the roundtable. And who is too say it's wrong? After all it is my interpretation of the books which is canon.
Not in my canon. And isn't that what's it's all about? Sure the author writes the text but we interpret it for ourselves. For example in my canon Geralt is a young African transgender woman with white hair and appears white due to going through the trial of grasses.
Why did Sabrina Glevissig burn both armies?
Why would she think Henselt would spare her?
She was known to be able to shut him up but she killed thousands of his soldiers.
>Why did Sabrina Glevissig burn both armies?
To maintain the balance of power in the North in a manner in the Lodge's interest
>Why would she think Henselt would spare her?
She was so used to having him whipped she no longer truly believed he would ever stand up to her that strongly. She was arrogant and overstepped.
Geralt is always gentle with Triss.
Henselt was burning mages before it was cool.
dat shitty resolution
So anyways the guy who posted early about re reading the books got me interested in doing so which lead me to a crazy idea. I am going to attempt to do the inconceivable and make an accurate timeline of the events in the witcher. Wish me luck.
>there are people in this very thread who played tw3 before reading the books
It's the failing of /wtc/ that it can't stay off page 10 without Triss, and that's why Triss is the main character of this general
Are there any mods for W2 armour in W3 yet? I could have sworn there was one but i cant find it anywhere now
It's something like "The school of Roach" but it's a complete overhaul, I don't think you can get just the armors. I was looking for that too at some point, because TW3 armors are just so much better.
Yeah i got what you meant. I hope someone just mods them in at some point. i wish i knew how to use redkit well enough to do it myself. And change the hunt kings armour back to the e3 armour.
Pretty noticable difference. I prefer the original look (left) way more. And weirdly they just ended up giving all that armour to Nithral instead minus the helm. They seem to have scrapped the original Helm all together.
It's not even a 'downgrade' thing where the armour was too detailed since it's in the game just on someone else. And they've never given a reason why they changed it.
We never really get a reason either why the Aen Elle are suddenly 2.5m tall and look like they've been taking steroids their entire life.
Or why Avallac'h, one of them, looks like a normal elf.
I really dislike what they did with the Wild Hunts in TW3 in general.
Yep. Some of their early concept art of the wild hunt was pretty fucking great.
I mean i still love this look too, but like you said, making them fuck off huge was stupid.
Triss is literally better character then Yen.
She truly loves Geralt (loves him more then anyone in fact) and she isn't a total bitch and whore. She is also younger too.
The only vice she has is a scar on her chest wich is not presented in game.
I thought his original armour was way too bulky, like it verged on Blizzard kind of ridiculous. That's why I hated the Draug in TW2 as well, it just felt out of place.
This bugged me so much. Even in the art book they described Eredin as having a slim and attractive face, but then the in-game WH warriors were all huge and ugly gorillas. Certainly a questionable design choice.
>Thank you CDPR for choosing Triss over Yen for the first two games and thank you for the happy ending she got. I would also like to thank you for listening to us Triss fans and improving her romance, the new scenes are beautiful.
lol, triss is a stupid red whore. If u be a more clever, you chose yen. She is only love geralt.
It is too bulky for him i guess. I just really dig the design and i usually hate blizzard shit too. It's mostly the helmet i like that i wish they kept. The teeth and eyes really look awesome to me.
From the trailers I always thought that this big-ass skeletor look was their spectral form, not their actual form.
I don't know why they went with the emphasis on bones, skulls, cold metal etc. I think it's what fits their spectral horseman look that is meant to terrify people.
Their actual form should look more like elves from LotR. The Aen Elle weren't brutal savages, they were more like Ge'els - vain, proud, beautiful, decadent.
Other things I disliked about the Aen Elle/Wild Hunt in TW3:
>Not nearly enough of them in the story
>Eredin has no real character and only a few lines in the entire game
>Eredin's goal is rather noble in fact, but the Wild Hunt is not potrayed as a group trying to save their homeland, only as violent, evil motherfuckers.
>Ge'els agrees to stop supporting Eredin even though his world is being destroyed by the White Frost
This is a lot closer to how I imagined actual Aen Elle to look like in combat (with more dark to emphasize that they are the antagonists)
I agree, this is one my favourite bits of art to do with the witcher and it pretty much perfectly paints what i see the wild hunt as.
Perfect lover, perfect skin. Yennefer smelling like lilac and gooseberries.
Yeah the helmet was cool. The new one looks like a cheap knock-off in comparison.
It's been a while since I read the books but iirc their spectral form was supposed to reflect their real looks, they wore the same armour in their own world.
>Ge'els agrees to stop supporting Eredin even though his world is being destroyed by the White Frost
The whole Tir na Lia subplot seemed rushed as hell. I would have preferred if we got to explore it more, maybe visit Caranthir's laboratory or come across some wild hunt warriors discussing the white frost concern or find Eredin's notebook or whatever. Just something to flesh them out some more. TW2 got it right, kinda sad how TW3 missed the mark with its main antagonist.
Armour like that would have been perfect. Just give Eredin his signature spooky helmet and you're set. No need to turn them into bulky monstrosities.
>The whole Tir na Lia subplot seemed rushed as hell.
As did the everything after The Battle of Kaer Morhen.
It's almost as if they scrapped a lot of shit in the last few months of development and had to quickly replace it with something else.
>No need to turn them into bulky monstrosities.
This the is worst thing about it all. Making them talker than human was okay, but 2.5m was too much. Then making them all bodybuilders was stupid. The armour they ended up with was okay really, i mean it could have been MUCH worse, they should have just been a bit sleek and more elf like.
I agree 100% with what you said lore wise too, TW3 fell just slightly short of what it should have been in regards to the wild hunt story. In TW2 and to a much lesser extent TW1 they felt so mysterious and literally other worldly and we hardly got to explore and we were back in the northern realms again, it was pretty disappointing.
Yeah that's true. Didn't the same happen with TW2 too? Loc Muinne felt rushed in comparison to the previous chapters. Even in TW1 the final act was short and felt kinda different in terms of tone and atmosphere. It seems like they always run out of time/money by the end.
>they should have just been a bit sleek and more elf like.
Absolutely. I think CDPR tried to emphasise them being other-worldly but they kinda took it in the wrong direction? The aen seidhe had squarish faces and pointy features and were quite buff compared to usual fantasy elves, so with aen elle they just gave them more of everything - even pointier features, bulkier physique, greater height etc.
>TW3 fell just slightly short of what it should have been in regards to the wild hunt story
Yeah, they really should have fleshed them out some more. Right now they just ended up being the usual evil guys complete with cheesy one-liners. It would have been okay in other games, but I've come to expect more nuance and subtlety from CDPR.
That's actually something i didn't notice until now, all three games have a lackluster final act in comparison to the rest of the games.
Avallac'h Is pretty much my favourite Aen Elle design wise, his face is pretty cool. I would have liked it if CDPR went a little further in the Aen Seidhe look and had some more human like and others more Avallac'h look, maybe with a bit of a longer face and slightly softer features. ANYWAY! would have been cool if there were various types of Aen Seidhe looks in the game to signify half breeds and pure bloods and the like.
Do we know if Iorveth is dead? I havent kept up with that. Be nice if we see him in the next expansion.
Yeah, Avallac'h had a quite nice design. There were half-elves in TW1 and for whatever reason they were balding like in pic related, kek.
>Do we know if Iorveth is dead? I havent kept up with that.
Marcin Momot said that both him and Saskia are safe, that's all we know.
>Be nice if we see him in the next expansion.
...And he also said that neither will be appearing in the next expansion. It seems like CDPR has decided that Iorveth's path just didn't exist.
Yen is a selfloving bitch. She used Geralt and dump him many times. She is a 100 years old hag.
I thought there were half breeds in TW1 but i haven't played it in a long time so i wasn't sure. You picture looks like Toruviel. Pretty sure she wasn't half breed though.
That's really fucking annoying that He and Saskia wont (could be lying) be in the next expansion. I liked Iorveth personally, he had a cool character arc in the end. And i guess curing or killing saskia didnt really mean much. Pitty. I wonder who they mean by the whole "well known character to return" then. Unless its triss, which i really hope its not. I'd like to see Francesca Findabair, that'd be ace.
Francesca is unlikely to be present, as Elven cause was basically the whole cut in TW2... Loc Muinne -> Brokilon -> Dol Blathanna were act IV and V respectively.
For those reasons I believe she won't appear until CDPR makes something like TW2+TW3 Definitive Edition or smth
In Blood and Wine I believe it would be
Borch Three Jackdaws who we would meet
>You picture looks like Toruviel. Pretty sure she wasn't half breed though.
It's the half-elf from Vizima, but she probably uses the same model as Toruviel. They've always had repeating models in all their games anyway.
>could be lying
Yeah I thought he could have lied like they did with the whole "there won't be a NG+" thing, but dunno. I'm not gonna get my hopes up.
>I wonder who they mean by the whole "well known character to return" then
Fringilla Vigo maybe? Seems like the most obvious choice, especially since she mentions having business in Beauclair in her letter to Yen.
Oh wow i didn't consider it could be him yes please. Bath orgy with TnT please.
I guess i want to see Francesca ingame as see "the most beautiful woman in the world" Nivellen would be hilarious to meet up with again too.
I have a feeling Francesca was gonna appear in TW3 as part of the Lodge but got cut again. Triss's alternative dress absolutely doesn't fit her, but it's still so detailed and "elfy", like something a pompous elven queen would wear.
Borch Three Jackdaws
Pls make it happen CDPR.
Here it is, perfect example of the 2 types of witcher fans. Night and day.
No! I'm going.
6 (you)s for me. Could have been worse I guess.
The best way to win against waifufags and ironic shitposters is to have actual discussions, but sadly there's not much left to discuss at this point. I'm just waiting for Blood and Wine to hopefully breathe some new life into this general.

Hey, how I can fuck succubus in witcher 3?
