I think you just want to build your combo up and ''break'' as many enemies as you can so you get extra turns. Fill the gauge to 100% so when you use the song magic you wipe out the entire enemy force.

At least thats what I've been doing for the past 30 hours. Its more about the story. Unless you are actually stuck during combat try not to worry too much about it.

Uncharted isn't bad. It's not GOTY all years or anything, but if you liked the other Uncharted games there's no way you're going to hate it. My main gripe with it would be that it's one of those early Vita titles that tried way too hard to push the touchscreen, but it's not that big of a problem. If you played the PS3 Uncharted games and didn't like them then don't bother, otherwise I'd say it's worth the 15$ asking price.

FFX/X2, I haven't played the HD versions on vita so I can't comment on the port in specific but if you haven't played the games before I'd say go for it.

I heard my favourite 3DS game, Yumi's Odd Odyssey, got ported to Vita.

The sexual undertones in Cold Steel are seriously upsetting. Mostly because everything else, story wise, is so good. Sophisticated, even - and it's rare that anything anime can rightly claim that label, especially in spite of its tropes and slightly cliche storylines. The otaku stuff also becomes much more heavy handed in the last third of the game or so. Angelica's entire character is based around this.

No. It's a mix of slice of life anime with alchemy. Usually something like FF does the trick because it's considered epic and you go on an adventure to save the world. Ateliers are way smaller than most JRPGs.

I only played rorona and apparently they improved the combat for the dusk series. Rorona was really basic in terms of combat but the meat of the game is the alchemy system which rewards you for actually investing time and thinking through when crafting stuff to create fucking nuclear bombs that you can just throw at enemies.

Atelier games are pretty light on story. It's just doing mundane things though, but the gameplay is quite good. The battle system is basic but the alchemy system is pretty deep. Depends on what you want.

Final Fantasy is probably the most casual friendly JRPG and the most popular series.

You could also try Trails of Cold Steel I guess, it has some interesting political intrigue stuff and a well-told story, although it has some high school elements to it.

This spanish bullet hell in the news is pissing me off. It's like they ALMOST understand what makes a good shmup, and then completely missed the mark anyway. The bullet sprites are great, and they seem to be consistently filling the screen. But then they show off safespots where you don't have to move an inch. The popcorn enemies all have slightly too much health, which would make regular stages really boring. And for some reason the player has an enormous health bar. The music sucks too.

Agh. So close. It looks so good from the screenshots, too.

Is it worth getting BOI on the Vita even though it's pretty much definitely not getting afterbirth?

Ok so I've been cropping out wallpapers and giving them transparent backgrounds for about an hour and a half. Thing is when I went to transfer them only about half the backgrounds showed up as transparent. Struck me as odd and I went over them again, saved them, and retransfered them over. Still half of them are coming up with backgrounds on them.

Has anyone else had this problem/know how to fix it?

I'm starting to think it's not my vita who's going to break soon, but that demon gaze has some strange bug. For some reason, whenever I open the map in cursed cemetery the screen will zoom as if I'm touching a certain portion of the screen.
