RETARDS GUIDE TO DOWNGRADING

1) Gather files

DO NOT FUCK THIS PART UP

get the 9.0 or 9.2 updates

2) when both are completed you should have a two zip files

3)extract the firmware update zip file and inside of it should be an updates folder. put that folder on the root of the sd card

4)extract the other zip file and there should be a folder called "sysUpdater"

5)take that folder and put it in the "3ds" folder of your SD card

6)run homebrew launcher preferably through ironhax or menuhax

7)find sysupdater in the menu

8) plug in your charger

9)click it and choose downgrade

10)???

11) Profit

Give it a couple of minutes and boom you've successfully downgraded to a firmware possible of running custom firmware

I installed RXTools Nightly onto my Downgraded 9.2 3DS.

It boots into EmuNAND fine.
I try to get into menus by holding down the L button and I have a black bottom screen.
I can't get into the menus to install FBI.

Is there a way I can fix this?

On the topic of SD cards: I had some games installed that were bought on the E-shop before the downgrade. Is it possible to transfer them (and the save files) into emunand?

I kind of want to get in on this pirate thing but don't want to risk my 10.3 n3ds that already runs my emulators great.

I just ordered an o3ds on ebay, supposedly it's on 3.0.0-5U.

Can I browserhax it right away or are there some additional hoops I'll need to jump through? (My 9.9 n3ds wouldn't let me use the browser until I updated). Assuming I get homebrew running, can I do the CFW/pirate thing straight from 3.0.0 or am I going to have to do a whole song and dance, track down some exact cart version in order to upgrade to a compatible firmware?

I haven't bought OoT yet but I wouldn't mind buying it for this if needed.

I installed Emunand and all that
I got RxTools nightly and the latest version.

However when I hold L to go into settings so I can install FBI I just get a black screen at the bottom.
I tried loading browserhax on Emunand and installing from the HBL and I get an error.

I have my n3ds on 10.3, using themehax on boot so I can access my emulators.

I have been keeping the network off, but I've been turning it on and using the built-in wireless data transfer to put new roms on and stuff because it's a pain having to pry the back off every time.
