>What in the fuck is this
/indie/ is the general for all indie games, such as LISA, Yume Nikki, OFF, Bastion, Machinearium, Braid, Limbo, Axion Verge, Guacamele, The Desolate Hope, Sonic Dreams Collection, Doritoe Galaxy, etc.
Mobile or consoles, flash or unity, freeware or early acess. This place is a home for the indie game community and indie games that don't have a home. So be free to talk and share all your hidden gems, forgotten games and starving devs here.
>Can I talk about games that already have a general?
We mostly discuss games that are not popular enough for their own threads (since they have no other home in /vg/), however, all indie games are allowed. So talk about them if you want, but don't overdo it since you already have other generals for that.
>How can I contribute?
All we need right now is people to talk about their loved indies, so don't be afraid to post, bump and reply your fellow anons. Also we're looking for anons to make new pastebins/wikis/images and update the ones already made. Besides that, don't forget to play our !!!!GAME OF THE WEEK!!!! and other indie games to have lots of joy and to make more discussions to our general. And please give lots of feel, love, kind and nice to everyone.
>WHERE ARE THE GAMES
See our !!!!!GAME OF THE WEEK!!!!! in the next post.
Also this pastebin: http://pastebin.com/ZbG0JPSn
-Do more wikis/images/pastebins (Platformer, Shmups, First-Person, Mobile, Flash/Browser based, etc) and update them to not overwork the Compendium anon
-Create an easy way to know about upcoming games, ludums, jams and comps (aka make News more useful)
-Pray for the return of TIGDB
DON'T BLAME ME I COPIED IT FROM THE LAST THREAD
3. The Son
5. Olan Hoyt
Big band and Squigly are also close
Not an actual cross-over but considering how it was made, pretty much is.
As much as a giant thing Undertale is at the moment, it's still an indie game and subject to discussion on this general. And if you just don't like like Undertale, well too bad. /utg/ is utter cancer and what goes on in there is absolute garbage compared to the tame shit here.
I usually run with Eyes, but I made it to the Palace once with Crystal during a weekly run. I was not ready at all. YV is considered the most powerful character in the game, if you play your cards right, so I recommend him.
I got no issue with Undertale, I love the game. I got an issue with the shitshow of a fanbase and dread that part of it coming here and overpowering the other indie games. Though what has been posted is OK. No need to get defensive.

>have to wait until 2017
Well son, that's what comas are for.
Just talk about them mate
Have you tried fighting them? Use firebombs if you have any. If you can't win, try reloading to an earlier save or just give them your mags. Don't worry, it's not the last time the game screws you out of your possessions so don't become too attached to them.
As a side note, DON'T try buying items until you have no mags to give. They'll know and they'll still fuck your shit up.
Use truck keys. If you still don't have them, just give them your money, it's not that big of a deal since you can grind for it. If you refuse, you get locked into a hard fight and they'll not only take your money if you lose, iirc, they'll also destroy the town.
9:30 for me
Mention them anyway, maybe try to garner interest towards it? I'm sure someone has played whatever games you have in mind.
Those guys fucked me up the first time around. Just do what >>127391393 said. Don't get too attached to your items.
Every single party member is fucking great to have around.
Except Garth.Use whoever you find to be the most fun. I recommend making use of movesets that work well together, like Fire and Oil types. Either way, Brad will continually be OP as all fuck throughout the game. When the time comes, abuse wrestling and level your shit up.
terry is bad at the start but he is god tier at late levels you team is good but if you want a anal destructor terry you will need the drunk guy on road 2
every party member is good, excluding Rage, fuck that guy.
>The only character who can set Flammable, making every fire attack deal thousands of damage
>strongest pure damager in the game who hits all enemies
>(after level 25)
>sets shitloads of useful status effects
>the only character who can heal HP, TP AND SP, good status effects but inaccurate
>Awesome stopping power with status effects, can heal status
>Great attacker with fire attack who never gets targeted
>Good bruiser with an extremely strong fire attack
>Decent all-rounder, can hit, set people on fire and heal, fastest character in the game, can use items well
>Don't fucking bother tier
>Crisp and Buffalo
>Come too late in the game and don't bring anything to the table
>Literally useless without Joy. Too bad because he's a great character
>Rage and Clint
>Brad clones worse than the original thing in every way
>Just talk about them mate
Why the hell not.
I've been playing a surprsising amount of Brigador since it came out (over 50 hours atm).
It's an isometric vehicle shooter (pic related). It's still in EA and some core systems aren't implemented yet, but it's a ton of fun. Gameplay is somewhere in-between Hotline Miami and Future Cop I guess, not as fast as the former but less clunky than the latter. There's directional armour, rechargeable shields and non-regainable health. The environment is pretty much entirely destructible (only level walls aren't) and there's a nice penetration system for it, too. Weapons and vehicles are pretty varied so far, and feel pretty good for the most part.
Now, I gotta admit that the most time I got out of this game is by modding. You can change a lot of stuff in-game via the dev console, and even more in the files (no coding skills required though). E.g., there's currently 9 player vehicles in the game, but 123 in the gamefiles. You can make them all playable easily (though they're obviously all WIP). You can also modify every asset in the game, and people have already made their own weapons.
I also think I got a MEGA link somewhere if anyone here's interested
I have read that you need to have 1 health to trigger them, but it didn't work for the palace when I tried it, It did work for the other stages. I also heard it when I did a weekly and reached the scrap yard with a good amount of health.
It might take a few tries, but try to chuck at least a couple of firebombs at them. Also, Terry has an ability that can make enemies pissed off. When enemies are pissed off, they have a chance to attack their own party members for a lot of damage (or attack you, but at this point, most of them can one or two hit KO you guys anyways.)
Sometimes the one on the far left (your left not their left) will just get confused, so you can focus on the other guys instead.
If you want to keep Terry around, bring Birdie when you get him. With his oil spit ability, Terry's hot dance will do about as much damage as Brad.
Fly is a popular party member since he can inflict a lot of stattii, and Nern is good if you use abilities that cost a lot of TP/SP (also, since he can heal on top of all that, he can keep you topped off so you can avoid having to use campfires.)
Buddy being held down by a group of Olathans while they one eats her out, and the others lick and stroke her, along with a text box that says "Buddy feels weird."
I just bought The Castle Doctrine, and while it's fun with an interesting premise, there are maybe 10 people playing a game that's entirely multiplayer. I wish I didn't have to return it, but it definitely shouldn't be $15.00 either. I bought Crypt of the Necrodancer and Project Zomboid in the same purchase, and at least the prior has my hands full.
>don't fucking bother tier
>literally useless without joy
You can still get double the mags, even when on withdrawal and he's probably the best guy to give joy to, honestly.
I don't get why so many people don't like him.
He can blind every enemy on the fight, that can carry you through most fights.
New trailer for the Midnight Animal mod for Hotline Miami was released if anyone is interested
Some faggot in the last thread suggested that /indie/ actually try coming to a consensus on an indie smash bros roster, As autistic as that is, at least it'd get discussion going.
Oh and heres the Redial trailer for another Hotline Miami mod, if anyone is interested
Nah, you can mod it using assets from both the first game and the second, and both of these mods created alot of new assets
>Fe New masks, new weapons, new faces, etc
I believe it is both actually, im not 100 percent on that though
Here is the link to the redial mod page
And here is a link to the Midnight Animal mod page
Ya its crazy all of the new shit that these guys are creating for these mods
Oh and here is some example music for the Midnight Animal mod
The LennyReviews channel is a good place to see all of the updates to these mods, he has a direct connection to the mod creators. So he creates the trailers and videos regarding the mods.
For those to lazy to go to the link (or mobie)
The story for the Midnight Animal mod takes place some time in the modern day (roughly between 2013 and 2016, with the supposition that following the nuclear exchange at the end of HM2, support for Fifty Blessings skyrocketed due to anti-Soviet sentiment and the world more or less split in two along the axis of America vs Russia. Fifty Blessings has become a national presence with a similar function to the Patriots in MGS if you're familiar with that, and they control most of the society through political manipulation and the engineering of social upheavals like riots and assassinations in order to keep America in check. The main character is an executive in their corporate branch who moonlights as a cleaner, who fixes the failed operations of other operatives.
In order to preserve some semblance of continuity, he elected to have only the east coast destroyed in a massive nuclear barrage, and for the west coast to have been hit in several strategic positions, but not entirely annihilated. South America is fucked over by nuclear drift, and the cocaine/marijuana industry basically is nonexistent. The population moves inland. Following the strikes, centralized government was all but destroyed, and in the aftermath, they were effectively either liquidated or assimilated into a number of emergent syndicates.
Anti-Russian sentiments have reached an all-time high, and this ubiquitous animosity has catapulted Fifty Blessings into a position of immense power. It has assimilated most of the remnants of the US government, and not only has vast political clout but an army of operatives at its service.
Following the attacks, massive waves of xenophobic violence against Russians ensued, leading to several major riots and a wave of jingoistic anger. The Russian mob, which was effectively destroyed in Miami but flourished in many other large cities, became virtually isolated from the rest of America. It provided protection services to citizens and built walled cities. They aren't so much a threat and more of a defensive presence in the new world.
The game picks up well after the nuclear conflict, so society is largely 'normal' again. Technology has remained stuck in the 90s, and the world has somewhat 'moved on', or at least is trudging along warily.
This is straight from the site
>How many levels are there?
"Twenty-six to thirty. The exact final number depends on whether or not I wish to include a couple of scenes. Generally, it's very close to the length and structure of the first Hotline Miami game, both due to thematic elements and general developer laziness"
Oh and I found the answer to your question
>What is this being produced in?
"GameMaker 8.1, using a heavily modified source code of Hotline Miami, which is readily available through any kind of gmk decompiler. I chose GameMaker 8.1 over Gamemaker 7 because GM7 is shit compared to 8.1, and I didn't use GM: Studio because there's a lot of deprecated functions relating to draw events in GM: Studio which are heavily present in the source code, and it was too much of a hassle to port it when I first started."
How does the weapon system work in the game? Will there be random weapon spawns? An unlock system?
"The weapon unlock system has been removed since it was redundant, because randomised weapon spawns, as fun as they are, don't really go in well with the environment or tone of the game. There will be weapons scattered throughout the maps in the form of environmental weapons, however; for example, bricks can be found in construction sites and piles of debris, shovels, drills and hammers can be found near maintenance closets, pool cues and trophies will come off of wall racks, etc etc.
Certain masks also spawn with certain weapons which are either considerably more powerful than their normal counterparts (in terms of suppressors and such), or unique to that mask (such as a chainsaw or a sniper rifle, for example). In a way, unlocking the masks will also act as unlocking new weapons."
How will the point system work? Will it be more similar to the first game, or the second game?
"The point system is designed to accommodate a maximum number of playstyles due to the many different types of masks that can be worn, and thus high scores can be earned through any number of means - not just combos. Something I'm thinking about including is a dual execution system, in which every weapon (or nearly every weapon) has two executions: one that's relatively quick but rewards fewer points, for those looking to pursue combos or speed; and another that's much more gory and awards significantly greater points, but takes longer and opens the player up to greater risk of dying. Obviously though this would involve mapping the execution to two different buttons, which I'm not sure many people would really appreciate. However, I'm going to implement soon in my next test build and see how people like it; if it goes well, then I'll keep it."
"A number of artists from the original game plus a bunch of new ones. The soundtrack hasn't been finalized completely, but most of the songs are in place for the most part."
"Hopefully this will be possible, though the first release will probably be for Windows. The game is built in GM8.1, which doesn't support Mac at the moment so far as I understand, but I'll definitely attempt to convert it afterwards because I understand the occasional misery of Mac users."
>Kill a man, your a murderer
>Kill millions, your a conqueror
>Kill everyone, your a god
Today I learned Ollie Nickles has an attack called "Sister's Kiss" that makes him scream and sets Crying and Depression.
>And this was the most recent update to the mod
Where things stand as of the creation of this modDB, what I have left to do, and projected goals for December, as well as things I'd like to see/do.
Posted by spncryn on Nov 30th, 2015
Where the mod stands right now
The gameplay has been largely finished and is relatively stable. In terms of gameplay, all the programming that's left is just adding new features (weapons, masks, enemies), and is not difficult, just a bit time-consuming.
Level design is progressing well, and goes relatively quickly in terms of building the actual levels. Gameplay levels will be prioritised first, and then transition levels. The most difficult part of this is enemy placement, and creating a good level that plays enjoyably and is stable for every single mask. The levels are about a quarter done, but only because of a considerable lack of time in the past several months due to school and such.
The most time-consuming part is spriting; fortunately, I have several rather capable spriters from r/HotlineMiami assisting me, so progress is slow but steady. Masks and NPCs are largely unsprited for the most part, as well as animations for executions; the last one is the most important one in terms of progress, as without the proper animations, I can't actually code the executions.
Things to be done
Script in dialogue, world interaction, NPCs, pretty much all story elements.
Add in new weapons, including executions (crossed out ones have already been finished).
Any similarities with HM2 in terms of weapons are indeed the weapons from HM2.
Otherwise, any weapons that are not listed should be assumed to carry over from Hotline Miami (the first game).
Suppressed shotgun and assault rifle
Tranquiliser gun (not certain yet if this will make it in)
Garden shears (probably will make it in, but the spriting is troublesome at the moment)
Heavy machine gun
Thompson submachine gun
Grenades/Molotov cocktails (I'm debating these very heavily right now, but I was inspired to make these after watching the Super Carnage prototype. Obviously they would be incredibly overpowered so I'm currently trying to figure out ways to not make them ridiculously overpowered)
>Alot of this shit is already done and is crossed out, but it dosent show that in the copy and paste
>Last page, thanks to anyone reading
>This picture shows coding to show that he actually added new content
Finish transition levels.
Optimise gore system for slower machines.
Fix score screens.
Fix slight issues with enemies flashing different colours.
Animate masks for the executions.
Fix issues with enemies getting up after being knocked out and changing enemy types.
Minor aesthetic tweaks on title screen, level select screen, and level title screen.
Minor tweaks to UI colours.
Add optional S rank.
Finish spriting and coding masks (w. respective abilities).
Code AI for boss battles.
Code AI for special enemy types.
Katana enemies (move faster, can dodge bullets)
Chainsaw enemies (move much faster, will aggro other enemies)
Sniper enemies (shoot very fast and very accurate bullets, can spot the player from a significantly longer range)
Armoured/shielded enemies (bullets will only stun, must first be knocked down then executed)
Sentries (alert enemies to position, like gang leader in HM2's subway)
Heavy weapons enemies (wield very powerful weapons, either the automatic shotgun or heavy machine gun,
Suicide bombers (once the player is detected, they will charge at the player very quickly and explode - basically, dogs with bombs - not sure if this will remain in the game)
Commandos (dual wield singlehanded weapons, otherwise carry MP5s; like the SWAT chief from HM2's Final Cut, will carefully hug walls and can shoot from cover; cannot be knocked out)
And again here is the link to the page
All indie is permitted here, even early acess so don't act like that, it only kills good discussions.
If you want to criticise the OP do it because he forgot to post the weekly game for third or fourth time.
Can anyone give me the low down on Stonehearth?
I played on PC. But I had a game controller. My brother-in-law played on his laptop with the keyboard and either he's a shittier player or the controller made it easier because he had a real rough time with some parts.
Turns out Brigador uses a free map editor. Finally I can make a racetrack for my modified Pompadour, closest I'll get to a new Wipeout game I guess.
Anyone looking foward for this?
Something is wrong with my pic
Well, /indie/? Who is he?
I just had my first encounter with The Collector actually. It was a party of Hellion, Man at Arms, Highway man and a Vestal. All level 0 except or Dismas, who was at 1.
Just how hard can a Collector screw you over? He and most of the heads he summoned wasted every turn they got, managed to win the battle pretty much unscathed.
I'm 3 hours in, how do I git gud at this shit?
>playing an unfished and glitchy indie game from a dev that reused most of the levls and sprites in his later actual released game on hipster drm gog
I spend several hours trying to get a right sane and reload to get this item to spawn in the actual cage where I can get it and not a wall. Now picking it up makes me fall through certain floors.
I am ascending hipsterdome, advancing further into light leaving mainstream plebs behind.
Making these is harder than expected.
Any suggestions? Makes me realize how little indie games I've played. Also I don't know if I should include stuff like WC3 maps, romhacks and unlicensed period games like Hong Kong '97.
take some notes from http://pastebin.com/NSpcTkiA
also the most updated iceberg pic has some deep indie games
super obscure japanese rpg maker games should go near thecatamites (14/?, dante 98 games, neftelia)
Karma is the game
It is really uncanny how much stages and dialogue got straight out used again for treasure adventure game.
Meant to reply to >>127479097
Is Oni considered indie? They got a publisher so technically..
Not that I don't like ms studios because they picked up and pblished some really awesoem games on all plattforms like the maw, insanely twisted shadow planet or oni as the latest.
Do I rate the games by 'weirdness' or obscurity? Stuff like ATWR or Sluggish Morss is not very accessible, but has been covered by every screaming youtuber out there, while tamer stuff like the rarer RPG Maker stuff might be way more obscure.
>My bad. All the early access hate got me.
I feel you bro, and I nearly wrote about the same response as you when I read that post, but then I took a second look and realized it was about the typo.
>but has been covered by every screaming youtuber out there
There's literally only one video online of A True Western Romance and it only has under 2k views
Sluggish Morss on the other hand isn't THAT obscure, but yeah the lists are about obscurity.
Finally got my Abomination to level 6. Just need to wait for the Dankest Dungeon to be released in a couple of weeks.
I think most annoying if if he summons multiple highwayman. The last time I found him, he summoned three vestals, so I focused fire on him, and had a MaA spam bellow. Sometimes the vestals would heal or buff the collector, but most of the time they wasted turns just healing each other, so I was able to kill the collector and mop up the remaining vestals.
I'm at Scott (sans) FNAF.
I never managed to beat one of the last viruses so I gave up. I think it was the mecha dragon.
Have you lot played undertale red?
it was cool and well made
i am not a fan of the design tho, and the writing was kinda cringe worthy, but it was good
looking foward to see some fan made undertale that are not "Unknown" tier
Very well-made, tight and interesting mechanics
Fanfiction-tier writing and deviantart-tier design that doesn't have much to do with Undertale, look ma I'm referencing the game
Very good potential kinda wasted on an Undertale fangame that has no business being one
>have proper battle backgrounds and coloured battle sprites?
I think everyone leaves it black and white with a grid background, in keeping with the style of the game.
I don't see Don't Starve on there. It should probably be around or maybe a tad lower than Hotline Miami.
Also, why is Undertale not higher? It's minecraft-tier known now, it's actually obnoxious how common it is to see
Minecraft is the poster child of video games that every kid on earth plays on his phone and that has books and toys being sold in every book store in my 2nd world shithole
I really don't think Undertale is anywhere near Minecraft-tier, or will ever become so
G-guns for fake necklaces!

Guns that sign breasts!
It’s guns that straight faced!

Honestly LISA isn't very well known. Like, I'm kinda surpirsed but I guess its because its subject matter isn't as easy to sell as something like UT or Earthbound or whatever else.
And cause it can be sort of difficult in some places. I can't imagine many casual players enjoying that.
I was actually surprised when I found out LISA sold 100,000+ copies (as opposed to Undertale's like 300,000 or whatever it is now, as a point of reference). But I guess much of it is just Steam hoarders who rarely actually play games because King Ding puts it on sale as frequently as he can.
I don't find it to be that hard, the only things that gave me any trouble where the Big Cherry & Sweet Tea fight and some of the encounters at the begging when I didn't know about Joy whitdrawal.
Other than that the game is pretty easy.
It's sad because it's true. Lisa turned to Buzzo not because of their bond or anything. She just wanted him to help her cope with her shit life through mutilation. It's a shame. He loved her so much but she ended herself and left him fucked up and hurting bad.
If he cared so fucking much he should have done something his fucking self instead of ruining Brad's already shit life like a baby.
Guess i wont be able to watch it
It was released on Steam last October, so not that long. It also got multiple updates since then and just yesterday there was a devstream.
There's also a lot of stuff that's already completely or mostly finished but not implemented yet, pretty much all the weapons and all the art is already there for example.
>Lisa got off on femdoming and manipulating Buzzo because he was the only thing she had control of in her restricted and abused life
I like to think Lisa actually did feel affection for Bernard, but since she was such a broken girl/woman, she couldn't express it properly.
Does Trigger Fingers affect melee speed as well or is it only reload time for guns?
Thanks. Also Eyes superior to Y.V. I just wanna tear shit up with my shovel. Gamma Guts OP.
>t. Nuclear Throne general poster
This general gets slow sometimes, but it's fastest than it's been in months, we don't even need the services of dedicated bump guy these days
Also still comfiest general
Been meaning to try it out, thanks anony
Then turn your gamma correction up! *rimshot*
No, you're right. It is a dark game. Going into it I wasn't expecting it to be upbeat but it's definitely a lot more gritty than assumed.
Pirate then buy. Most of the art collection is on the booru, so you can skip getting that if you feel like.
Or just wait for it to go on sale again, I heard Lisa goes on sale pretty frequently.
Eke out a miserable existence as you struggle againts the zombies towards the inevitable, brutal, end.
Doesnt making a list of games by obscurity kinda make those games less obscure?
I thought it was a list about obscurity + accesibility since even if someone knows about a game having to track it down should make it a far rarer jewel.
I don't even remember where this plays in the game
I was too busy trying not to die with a headache from staring so intently at circles for an hour and also wondering what the fuck was happening around me
the game was such a clusterfuck man
it doesn't bother to explain anything
>Finally reach the Throne as Steroids
>All ammo upgrades and double triple machine gun
>Think I will finally beat the game
>Stand in the middle like an idiot and get insta-killed by the laser.
Nobody told me there was a laser, it's not fair, I wasn't expecting my dreams to get crushed so fast.
>Not acknowledging /the/ most versatile and tactical mutation in all the game, allowing for a multitude of strategic options that can meld perfectly with any build and ensure your ass a seat on the throne.
Hammerhead is the best mutation in the game.
It's not fair
It's not right
I can totally relate
Same here, I kept holding up wondering why I wasn't getting my butt on that throne.
Iji Speedrun started over at AGDQ
Who staying up all night for this?
>not gamma guts
Hammerhead is a godsend and will save your ass many times, but nothing feels better than being invincible to most enemies and just walking into them.
What are the coming soon games /indie/ is hyped for?
>pic related for me
That reminds me of Habits for some reason, you know the possum comic. Which is a good thing, and it looks def interesting on its own, I might get it in the end
I'm personally looking forward for Epic Battle Fantasy V which is hopefully to come out this century
Didn't knew that comic, I'll give it a look, are there any chronology in it?
That's also the first time I hear of this game, I'll give it a try when I'll will have acces to anything other than that notebook toaster
What make you say you that?
I don't see how she is an atheist, even if the edgy part is probably true. that's a girl btw
Its like those fuckwads didn't connect 2 and 2 and though final batter was anything but a interpenetration.
It looks interesting, really like the artstyle, hopefully the writing will be good.
Recommend me some indie roguelites, /indie/. This is what I've already got.
When is this coming out? I haven't heard any news about it in forever.
Think of 3 indie game characters. Remember the order in which you thought of them.
You're stuck on a deserted island with all three of them. You must team up with the 2nd one to defeat the 1st and 3rd. How does that go?
>having to team up with Robot to take on Y.V. and that guy from Axiom Verge.
I'm more than screwed, but at least I can play with Robot before I die.
I mean, he also killed his universes gods. Fairly certain Hugo despite not fighting back is a God, and the Queen is atleast God-like.
With exception of Enoch and maybe Sugar, no, everyone was either supernatural or a semi/full god entity.
It's definitely more obscure than any steamcore game above it. Doesn't get much love outside of chans. As for it being inaccessible I've literally had more than one friend tell me they couldn't play it after Undertale because it's too dark and depressing
Isn't that weird symbol more of a pagan thing?
I'm looking forward to Expedition: Viking, the sequel to Expedition: Conquistador. I had a lot of fun with the latter. You play as a Spaniard who comes to the new world in search of gold. You bring a bunch of followers with various temperaments who's morale are affected by the decisions you make (so pious followers like it if you fuck up pagan natives, but it might put off followers who favor resolving problems peacefully.)
I think they've only got an announcement trailer, no game play trailers yet.
Yeah, the battles take place on maps with six sided hexes. You can carry a certain amount of tools into battle to help you (cannons to fire at enemies, boxes to create choke points, etc.) You get various heroes, but only a finite supply of them. Like Lisa, most encounters are fixed, so if you invest a lot of XP into a follower and they either die or ditch you, you're shit out of luck.
The closest thing to a base you have is your wagon/caravan. Every night you can assign your followers to hunt/fish/guard/scout/etc. Sometimes you'll find a lot of food, sometimes some punkass natives will try to steal your food, sometimes some random event will happen.
The morale system is based off your followers who have three out of several binary preferences, (Religious/Open-minded, diplomatic/combative, etc). Usually if you do something your followers like, they'll pitch in with a supportive comment, and if you something they dislike, they'll butt in and try to convince you to do otherwise. If morale gets too low, your followers mutiny, and if it goes high, they perform better in battle.
You play as a conquistador that you can invest stats like leadership and diplomacy in. Your followers boost your stats too (for example, the more scholars you have, the higher your diplomacy stat is.)
You can go full moralfag (in the game, you arrive about three years before Cortez shows up and history proceeds as normal) or full genocide and kill or plunder practically every native settlement you come across.
The art is very pretty imo, Ms Blanco a cute.
It's a shame you couldn't marry the delicious brown loli princess. I couldn't help thinking about it, because if you try to recruit her, you get attacked by people thinking you're trying to abduct her.
>20 hours in
>finally have an amazing run
>get into some kind of shitty boss rush
I will never git gud at this shit.
>Been enjoying Dustforce a lot
>Great controls, amazing soundtrack, and a difficulty I can really enjoy
>15 hours in, finally make it to
Holy shit was I not prepared for that, 4 hours later and I still have not beated this fucking level.
I literally just took a screenshot of that to post. Well, at least the game doesn't even pretend.
In general, random encounters are pretty shitty so far and the OFF-ripoffness and the RPGMakerness is glaring, but it has some charm of its own. I like the pencil artstyle. Could find a worse use for my
17 roubles /indie/ should be trying new games together more often
so edmund just announced Afterbirth+... it's a PAID expansion.
what the FUCK. afterbirth JUST came out on halloween which was a shitty paid update.
Now another? jesus christ fuck this fat pig and his jew ass DLC. Afterbirtgh barely has any content as it is and i even paid the halloween special pricing for having rebirth.
Reminder that he only did one thing wrong.
He trusted Buddy.
What would have happened if he tried to stop Buddy? Wouldn't she just snarf down some joy and kill him?
Kill or be killed basically. What could he do? Restrain her physically and lock her up again? That's a throat lunge. Break her neck? That dooms humanity in order to save the rest of Olathe and resign them to a slow extinction instead, and in the long run Yado wins anyway.
It is shown very explicitly that Rando is pretty much the only person who tries to treat Buddy with respect and basically give her her own choice
>there are people praising him for this
His entire post sounds like "WAAAAAAH STOP CALLING MY DLC SHIT FUCK YOU REDDIT WAAAAAH" and it makes me angry. Accept responsibility that you fucked up and shit out a bad expansion you shit head fuck you
Use Buddy to spark a war
Have the warlords+Buddy wear each other out while everyone gets addicted to Joy
Have his mutants wipe out the survivors and make him the sole ruler of Olathe
Joy was created as a military experiment, Yado was a top researcher and the only madman telling people to go for it. But the whole kill all women part, I have no idea. I think it's one of the many things left vague in the universe.
>why is it not free!?!
>just enough to upset a vocal minority and buy myself a 3rd yacht!
Fuck eggmun, I hope he chokes on his shitty steak
Why do so many indie devs have shit personalities and why do so many faggots fanboy over them and praise their shit personalities
He was pretty cool until he started getting criticized. He can't handle criticism. Reddit is sucking his dick now like nothing ever went wrong.
Some devs are all right. Klei keeps decent communication with fans when new things come out and actually listen. Hopoo at least aren't dicks. Occasionally though, you get shitters like egg and Fish that shit up the pool.
>Why do so celebrities of any kind have shit personalities and why do so many faggots fanboy over them and praise their shit personalities
That aside I wish every indie dev was dingaling
Just finished Hylics and definitely a new favorite. Anyone have any theories or opinions on the game ?
At least he gave the game a decent amount of content for free instead of locking it behind an additional $10 and calling you an idiot for disliking it, and then letting one of his workers metaphorically call you a glutton when you play it a lot.
No communication is better than Edmund communication.
its fucking night in america
I just spent about 2 hours trying to do my first successful orbital transfer in Rogue System.
I just ended up crashing right into my target moon, like always
Can't wait to see where this game is going. Realistic space combat seems like a very interesting thing.
Buddy being held down by a group of Olathans while they one eats her out, and the others lick and stroke her, along with a text box that says "Buddy feels weird."
The Drawfag that we need and deserve, god bless you Welp.
So is that guy still working on the list of shitty Don't Starve mods? He hasn't posted in a while.
ly amazing how you actually took that request, you're a godsend.
