Why is this shit gameplay required?
Because it's not a game, it's a digital version of a faux fireplace for old dads. It's was not created with an intent to play it, but with an intent to look at it and relax.
I seriously do not know how it's possible to play this for more than a couple of days or a week max.
I played for about that much in beta, then again several months later, and once more this week, after which the process will probably repeat.
I can understand how dads play it because they literally only play for 2 hours or so a week so they don't have time to realise it has no content, but playing any more than that is a complete mystery to me. And this is coming from someone who grinded out the same procedurally generated warframe missions for almost a year straight.
I just ran into another player for the first time
he was losing a fight as a bounty hunter and I tagged in to help him out
we talked a little bit and then moved on to the next bounty target
and then for the first time
my game fucking froze
is this the VISION?
>he was losing a fight as a bounty hunter and I tagged in to help him out
Wow, what are you, a fucking mall cop?
Are you opposed to paying it off? If not, get into a shitwinder and go where you're wanted.
Dock in a station you're wanted at. Don't get killed yet.
Take off and let the sec outside shoot you down. You'll be able to rebuy the shitwinder including paying the 600k to wipe your record clean.
If you don't want to pay, get someone with a KWS to kill you but make sure the last place you docked is somewhere you're clean. Your bounty will go dormant and will be hidden from players as long as you don't commit any crimes (not even minor fines!) in systems where you were wanted.
After 7 days the dormant bounty becomes a legacy fine and can't be reactivated as a bounty. Just don't dock anywhere you have a legacy fine and then die because it gets added to your rebuy cost when you respawn there.
If you're pledged to a power already, you can go to the galactic powers screen and find the control tab of the power you want to undermine. That gives you instructions on how to do it.

>MISSION FAILED: SHIP SCANNED
It's odd how small Elite freighters are. Even the clipper can only carry 700 odd tonnes of cargo. A big, modern cargo ship can carry 20,000 containers. The containers alone weight a 2 or 3 tonnes each.
They should introduce the big Lynx bulk carriers. Get some more use out of that capital ship hyperspace animation.
>Star Citizen finally comes out as a full game.
Unless Braben puts some serious shit in this game there is no reason to keep playing.
Actually fuck both games.
Does anyone here still play freelancer? There seems to be several player servers up.
DBS is one of the ships that has more than enough agility to keep it's guns on target pretty much all the time. It takes a bit of time but it's good practice for when you use weapons that have no gimballed variant (Rails/Plasma).
However if you mix weapon types (projectiles/hitscan) then some gimbals are good to keep everything on target.
>>Star Citizen finally comes out as a full game.
Even little things like turning up at a station and finding one of those things parked there unloading would be a nice bit of variety in the scenery.
Having them in distress call beacons would be nice as well. Not sure exactly how their hyperspace works though, that would change how you fit them into the game.
Yeah, capital class freighters are sorely missing from the game. I heard FD want to expand on capital ships a some point, and they probably aren't adding them to the game yet because of that, but who when they'll get around to it. E:D generally need way more variety in stations and other structures in general, really. didn't one of the Dev Diaries mention something about shipyards and stuff?
I remember reading a while ago that you could gain merits while doing bounties
this is not the case
I left a great RES hub for this garbage one and I don't want to spend the time it takes to make it back again
Well yeah they need to give us more to do with them. All we can do at the moment is is shoot them (a common theme of ED interactions). Give them a docking pad and give us missions to deliver shit to them, escort them, etc.
Landing pads are probably full. Might be players, might be bugged AI ships. What you can do is quit to the main menu, start solo mode and try again. This kind of shit could have been fixed long ago.
assassination mission rated harmless
conda with vulture buddy
conda with vulture and viper 4 buddy
What ship is good at killing wings? NPC 1v1 i am passable, but the wingmate or two just fucks your shit up.
(in viper ATM)
They even had something similar on their early concept art.
Along with dedicated shipyards.
And asteroid stations.
Yeah, the engine part looks almost exacly like this one.
Wouldn't it be totally great if we players could own or build a own spacestation? or a base? somewhere? I mean we have the whole fucking galaxy but I heard somewhere that this wouldn't be part of the VISION. Someone knows more about it? that would be so fucking stupid if we could not do this kind of stuff.
>first 10 minutes of play out of tutorial
>floating around in frame shift

d-did I do good?
>It's odd how small Elite freighters are. Even the clipper can only carry 700 odd tonnes of cargo.
Even the "small" ships in Elite are fucking enormous. What's odd is that they have so little internal space. A Type-9 should be able to carry several thousand tons of cargo.
One of the AI ships actually gets forced to take off the first time your docking request gets denied. It takes a little while before the pad is ready to accept a docking request from you though.
Yeah they ended up using that asset for the travel engine module for new stations.
They jettison the module and break it down for parts once the engineering section containing the factories and docking bay arrives at the destination.
Frontier really fucked the scaling.
It's like they upscaled everything 2-3x before adding in the cockpit chairs leaving you with weird anomalies like two meters of headroom for no fucking reason.
You should see the T9's cockpit in VR. It's around 30 feet tall with two separate floors behind the pilot seat, not counting the three raised platforms with the stairways and operator seating, and about as much square footage as two-storey house.
Yeah the ships themselves are quite big. I guess I meant small in terms of cargo capacity. Comparing a fictional spaceship to something like a Maersk Triple-E container ship is probably not fair but the disparity in loads is immense.
The only thing I can think is that this is due to the focus on VR for the walking season so we can move around our ships with a minimum of vomit inducing canned animations.
>Make it to the outpost to turn in smuggle bounty.
>Cop ports in right in front and does an immediate scan.
>So surprised that I probably didnt kill the game in time.
Nope, didnt make it.... FUCK.
ED sometime this year. All the dads doubling up with their kids in their Cobras.
"You shoot the guns and I'll fly the ship"
"Okay dad, just make sure we finish before bedtime or mum will be angry!"
"You said it son!"
Hating on the Cobra just because dads nostalgia over it is some pretentious horseshit, but no, Horizons is not worth it. I'd wait until they actually finish some of the scheduled additions and it goes on sale for $15 again.
Early game it carries plenty of cargo for trading, has great jump range for rare trading or smuggling and fights well enough compared to a Viper, which it is both faster and more maneuverable than.
It's only slightly less effective at combat than a Viper and dramatically better at absolutely everything else.
And as you'd like to pretend is a bad trait, it can outrun anything it can't deal with.
Basically there is no reason whatsoever to not get one as a progression ship at the very least.
Then you realize that all those low end ships you speak of are totally fucking useless now that it is so easy to make 10 million in a RES site.
So no, you shouldn't be using a Cobra for any significant amount of time. And you will have a Clipper up your ass regardless.
Bought an Asp the other day out of curiosity. Nice visibility from the cockpit, sounds like a fucking propeller plane though. Also slides around a lot more than most other ships I'm used to.
Type 6 is better.
Viper is better. DBS is better.
>b-but it's cheap
Irrelevant, got a 300k bounty for tagging a wanted clipper in hires yesterday.
Say I want to grind out Federal rank for the Corvette, how would one go about this efficiently?
You'll get used to it, commander.
While you farm Robigo for mad dosh.
I mean efficiently. Anything in game is bound to be more wasted effort then necessary
Viper's maneuverability is shit and it can't stack armor/scbs and chaff/hs like a Cobra can. It's objectively worse at combat in spite of that being its focus.
It's not debatable. They even held a cobra dads vs viper griffers event and the griffers got completely fucking ruined despite being PVP tryhards.
DBS is great though.
>Viper's maneuverability is shit
So you've never actually flown one. Or rather you've never flown one in proper weight margins.
>It's objectively worse
>It's not debatable.
Except it fucking is. Better shields, better hardpoint placement, same maneurability, denies chaff with fixed setup.
Nice anecdotal evidence tho.
Pitch and roll on the Viper are worse, though yaw is better for what it's worth. Also vertical thrusters seem to be stronger on the Viper since it slides a lot less when pitching.
>So you've never actually flown one
Have you? The Viper MkIII's pitch/roll/yaw are almost as bad as a Python. The MkIV is actually worse than a Python. Lateral thruster authority is bad on both Viper models too.
Collect rocks, shoot robots, steal data. There's one kind of rover with one kind of weapon and no real upgrades, and the bases you can attack are all pretty much the same but different sizes.
Blue range pitch rates look worse for the Viper IIRC. It's significantly faster in the blue zone but the Cobra's pitch speed improves by a larger margin in the blue.
Engine pips also have an effect:
Viper with 4A shield has 126 hull + 179 shields = 305 total damage capacity
Cobra with 4A shield has 216 hull + 124 shields = 340 total damage capacity
Cobra is less impacted by additional mass due to base mass already being high and having a bigger engine
Cobra gains more armor from bulkhead upgrades
Cobra can carry better shield cell banks and hull reinforcements
Cobra turns better and is faster than a Viper even while weighed down
Armored Viper with one class 3 shield cell and stacked hull reinforcements has 545 armor and 754 total shield capacity
Armored Cobra with one class 4 shield cell and stacked hull reinforcements has 1320 armor and 824 total shield capacity while still being faster and more maneuverable than a completely unarmored Viper
And the icing on the cake? The Cobra has power left over for shield boosters if it wants. The Viper doesn't.
There was a lot debate about Viper vs Cobra before the DBS and Vulture came along and rendered the Viper completely obsolete.
This was probably the biggest test of relative combat capabilities: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=186804
Cobra defeats Viper acceleration advantage by flying backward
Literally the only people who defend the Viper are people who can't afford a DBS or better.
I've run two PAs before. I had to shut down life support when HPs are deployed in order to make it work though, so max 25 minutes in combat.
Not really practical for PVE but in PVP it'll surprise most opponents. I've taken out player ferdies with relative ease using that setup. By the time the realize they need to run the module splash from the PAs has killed their drives and half their other systems.
I just got ED (not Horizons) on PC and I am really enjoying the look of what I can do. I managed to get in to the game but then did my usual panic and wanted to quickly dock again because I could see people waiting for me to kill me.
So imagine I am a chimp trying to play.
If you can please help with some advice on how to dock, where to go and look for stuff, anyone out there willing to take me under their wing and help guide me about and get started?
>hull+shields=total damage capacity
Not really much of a difference, considering more reliable dps of a viper.
>Cobra turns better
While standing still.
>bulkhead upgrades/hull reinforcements
Wich also increase it's mass and drift.
>on a cobra with it's shit shield
>after scb nerf
It will get alpha strike'd anyway, so you won't have anything to recharge.
>increases shield capacity
>while still being faster and more maneuverable than a completely unarmored Viper
That's straight up bullshit. You'll need to keep 4 pips in engine all the time, otherwise viper is faster and has better accel/decell and lat thrusters.
>tfw viper is still faster without hammering boost
>tfw smaller shape, more effective chaff
>tfw better hardpoint placement, higher constant dps
>tfw better acceleration, less drift
>Not really much of a difference, considering more reliable dps of a viper.
Then you run into a surprisebra with 2med rails and a pair of torpedo pylons thinking "who uses missiles?"
>While standing still.
Also in motion. Cobra has better turn rate at 0 pips and 4 pips, in or out of the blue zone
>Wich also increase it's mass and drift.
Negligible impact to its flight model given its base mass and C4 engine. Even completely loaded down with HRPs and military armor its mass is far below the optimal mark for the engines
>It will get alpha strike'd anyway, so you won't have anything to recharge
lol right... If you're that worried about alpha from 2/2HPs then use another HRP or biweave, but that just makes the Cobra pull even further ahead
>better accel/decell and lat thrusters
Doesn't help in practice, and it has been practiced a lot. See >>127421950
This shit has been tested to death in-game since gamma. Viper loses between pilots of similar skill
What's your commander name and where are you exactly, greenhorn?
>surprisebra with 2med rails and a pair of torpedo pylons thinking "who uses missiles?"
Fuck. That. Shit.
>shields down, incoming missile
>okay I can tank a few missile hits before I FSD out
>target highest threat
>it's a torpedo
The /v/ group I had completely forgotten I was part of, and /pdg/ was to try and find people to do stealth stuff with but never actually played it with anyone...I don't get what my groups has to do with it though...
>new to elite

>2 med pulse, 2 small multi - not enough capacitor for longer fights
>1 med pulse+multi, 1 small pulse+multi - kinda good useage
>1 med beam, 1 med multi, 2 small multi - kinda good useage
also, I noticed that big, fast ships like FDL or clipper can get really dangerous if I don't watch my turns. what is best for deactiviting their reactor? pulse or multi or doesn't matter?
and what I got from lurking, pulse > beam when against hull, yes?
>got to Robigo

I even waited for 15 min but missions stayed the same
Oh god, is that still there? Well until recently that is all I had to play on, only just built a PC worthy of gaming, I should get around to changing that profile as it is like 2 years old now.
>I don't get what my groups has to do with it though...
That anon has noticed that you are affiliated with groups he disapproves of, and has accordingly become hostile towards you.
You know, exactly like it doesn't work with the Empire and Federation.
fucking empire rank up is slow as SHIT.
You're better off playing with Reddit. Here in /edg/y, people just complain about dads and don't actually play the game. They don't even shitpost in a comfy manner, they're just shitflinging at each other.
See: Viper vs Cobra discussion
Who the fuck cares? People that matter fly FDL or Python anyway. People that can fly can outturn Vultures with a Conda. Who the fuck cares about ships that cost 300k? You use them for a few hours until you get a good ship, like Vulture.
No, I said retards shit on "each other", not ships. Quite literally nobody gives a shit about Cobra vs Viper. Because people who play only a few hours can have enough money to buy a Python or FDL, which is worth the discussion.
not that guy, but:
1.Playing as pure trader in type 6 will crush your soul and mind.
2.Viper and DBS are only for combat, so you are basicly locked to pew-pew all the time.
Cobra is a low tier jack of all trades. the Dadmobile maymay wont change it.
Of course, You you lurk the forums and generals and You are "in the know" of how to make money fast, it gets obsolete pretty quick. But for me, a dude that dived into that game with no hand-holding and with a wishfull thinking that he can actually be fuckin Han Solo and tried to make a living soley on pre-sothis smuggling and piracy (yes I was stubborn) it was a fun ship.
Viper was the one that cost sub 1m right?
I remember using that as my next step up from Eagle, just felt kinda like a fat eagle.
Honestly I don't think I could live without the Vulture nowadays. Large hardpoints have fucking spoiled me.
I don't know if it's actually better or not, but it was the meme before Robigo. They're all the same. I personally use 17 Draconis because I can also grind rank.
I'm thinking of selling my FDL for a Python just because muh larges. It's a great ship and perfect tank but mediums are painful.
I once took 3 Pythons at once though.
You aim your mouse somewhere, accelerate and you fly at it. Then you just have thrusters to pretty much instantly move up/down/left/right.
You can use sticks/whatever but it works off the same principle
Elite may be closer to a fighter jet game than an actual space sim but that flight model is much more fun
same shit, I stacked a lot of shit and now I got THIS SHIT GOING ON I CAN'T EVEN PEW PEW MY WAY TO TRAINING MISSIONS FUCKING COCKSUCKER BRABEN GET THIS SHIT STRAIGHT RIGHT NOW I WANT MY AUTISM DOSE ASAP
Server has problems, I just lost the connection.
Draconis has shittons of fed missions. Best way to grind rank, and also offers missions too.
Literally the only feature from horizons I want is the commander creator
And that's more of a bonus little gimmick than a selling point
Given that it adds sod all beyond the worst feature of Mass Effect 1 who the fuck is the expansion aimed at?
how to increase rep quickly?
I fucked up a few times
>get caught with stolen shit
>forget to request docking before entering space station
>crash full transport ships of goods inside stations
shit like that and my rep is minus 30 or something
i've been doing fed missions and stuff for days now and my rep has only gone down by a few points
is there something specific I should be doing to increase my rep?
MAXIMUM TROLLING BRABEN
>doing the Robigo grind
It doesn't state that getting scanned will fail the mission, but if I do get scanned what WILL happen?
Will I get a bounty for transporting slaves?
Can I just go to the station not worrying about getting scanned, hand in the mission and then pay off the bounty?
If it's illegal where you're taking them, if you're scanned, yes you'll get a bounty, and probably a fairly hefty one too, since it's 87 of the fuckers. But yes, you can get scanned then turn in the mission and pay off the bounty, so long as the mission doesn't specify that getting scanned will fail the mission.
Alternatively you could skirt around the edge of wherever you're going till you line up with the entrance then scoot along in silent running mode. Grab yourself a heatsink, too. Careful not to fuck up and crash cause you could asplode without shields.
>why do they nerf so much shit?
because you talk too much about it dickhead.

>repeat a 100 times
I just started and I'm really confused as to what I'm supposed to be doing right now. I've been flying around in super cruise scanning shit and trying to check out signal sources and stuff.
I've found a bunch of wanted dudes, but I can't interdict because I don't have the thing to do it.
Why do signal sources never turn out to be anything? And what should I be doing? Should I go pick up a mission from a statio or what? Somebody told me to hunt bounties from smaller ships around signal sources, but nothing is ever there.
if you are looking for mobility and versatility in hardpoints, what ship should I look for? the faster the better
so far I'm looking at a FAS for future testing, currently flying a DBS in HiRES with a fixed 4x pulse setting
for fun, don't care about vulture because I'd like to have more than 2 hardpoints so I can switch stuff around when I'm bored
what are the experiences with the FAS?
It works against human players. If you're interdicted by a human, what you should do is silent running, fa off boost, turning back and boost again. That will make them lose you. Heat sinks are targetable and will show your position. Terrible if you're not within the visual limits
That is literally exactly what I've been doing.
>drop within 400km
The only time I find anything or anyone is on a distress call. Last time, it looked like some dude blew himself up and left a bunch of cargo laying around.
Tried it once. It was pretty durable, not very agile at all, and had enough firepower to lay most ships out.
If you're looking for something good, but don't want to cheese with a Vulture, you could do worse than the FAS.
The FAS can utilize 5 weapons, 2 med points, 2 large points, and the ship itself. Its shields are absolute dog shit, but the hull itself was forged in the heart of a dying star. Decent hard point placement, and with proper equipment and handling can make for mad dashes, but its not a dog fighter. Using the FAS to the max requires getting used to toggling flight assist on and off for more tight maneuvers. Once you get used to that it can easily punch well above its weight class while taking relatively little damage.
Also, the thing is a guided projectile. Ram every goddamned thing with it. Wear the scraps of Anacondas like you are Buffalo Bill.

Fucking plebs here.
It's FUCKING easy to avoid scans at stations. Just align with the planet at your back, station in front of you during SC. Drop out right in front of the station mail slot.
Just boost in the mail slot with your Asp. No scan. FUCKING EASY!
Submit and boost your way out of there and spool up FSD.
Authority interdicting you? Submit and do the same. You'll be out of range of there scanners.
You'll need: An Asp with A-rated thrusters/ power plant/power coupling.
Stop being such whiny faggots and GIT GUD. REEEEEEEE

Commanders, I hope you did your part and contributed to search of passenger vessel Antares that disappeared in 3251 as no humane person could just stand by while there are mission civilians out there.
Just think about it, commander, what horrors must passengers on board of that liner enure, they've been mission for 51 years now. I'm afraid if there are any survivors they had to commit acts of cannebalism to survive and so did their children, who were also born onboard of that God forgotten ship, drink their own unprocessed urin and endure horrid mutations due to lack of oxygen.
Those people need you, commander.
So, just started, do i have to do anything before grabbing what i can in missions?
still in the shitwinder
I just completed a 20mil trip from Robigo just now.
Was easy to pick up missions, only way they could have nerfed it was make the fucking fuzz come after you after every single jump.
I'm thinking of swapping out my Viper MkIV for some new fighter hotness.
I'm sitting on 14M~, should I do more Hermit station runs or just grind out RES/CZ?

Theres no goal or direction to the game, so just do whatever the fuck you want.
I'm being completely honest here. If that's your only ship, and you're not in some stupid fucking faction, you don't have to do fuck all.
Yeah that's it, I only got up to grinding combat in a Cobra before I stopped
I know the game's aimless (it's probably why I stopped) but I'm totally clueless about what I can even aim to do
Wanna shoot shit? Grab a fighter and head to a RES, Conflict Zone, or nav beacon.
Wanna trade shit? I don't fucking know why but whatever, this will help. https://eddb.io/station
Wanna mine shit? Fucking uninstall and play something else, mining is the dumbest bullshit in this game currently and pays fucking garbage.
Wanna do powerplay shit? Its basically just a flavored theme of the above three, but yeah whatever. Can unlock some other specific areas to shoot other shit at I guess.
Wanna explore shit? Get in literally anything with a jump range past 20 and an advanced scanner and just go fucking anywhere it doesn't even matter. Expect to show back up in civilized space a week later and only make maybe 2m credits for all the 4 3 2 1 you've had to listen to.
There i've just listed literally everything there is to do in this game.

Get ASP Explorer and upgrade it's FSD to maximum and then get fuelscoop and as much cargo racks as possible
you can get with the A5-FSD to Robigo within 18 jumps on the fastest route
I don't know the letter for it, if you find one and scan it (or its already explored) it displays as "white dwarf", they're tiny and pull you out of FSD when its not even filled 1/4 of the screen
> fly to 17 Draconis for dat Fed ranking up
> barely any donation missions
> already at max rank progression waiting for the Fed level up mission
> switching between solo and open, no rank up mission to be found
Well this is annoying.
What should be the very first thing I do when I start if I'd like to get a cobra asap? Just pick up any mission I see?
I'm pretty good at space/flight sims, so I've done okay in combat just with a sidewinder, but I went to eravate and got instantly interdicted by a vulture who shredded me in about a minute.
Okay got a rank up mission.
What are considered the best ones? I heard there's ones where you don't even have to leave the station, is that right?
I recommend last hitting ships in high res sites with your sidewinder. I made 700k then bought a vulture like that. Wait for the cops to stomp em til 10% hull then get you boot in too and pocket the bounty. If your in the starting system go to kremain.
Missions are shit. Totally shit. So shit they even made them worse every update. Made them more complicated and made elite ranks gate them. Fuck missions serious. I like missions but elite dangerous missions are just straight cancer. AVOID.
Fly around and wait for signal sources.
What's stopping you from just abandoning the missions at Robigo and selling the slaves back to them. There's no fine as far as I'm aware, and I just did it since I got scanned. I assume you lose some rep with them, but if you keep doing it what happens? Do they stop giving you missions? Surely there's a countermeasure to this sort of thing in the game somewhere?
Yeah, I tried that. I went to eravate nav beacon, and couldn't get any last hits on shipos for the bounties. Like 10 other people there just waiting to steal last hit.
Is kremain in lhs 3447? That is where it starts me.
This is the most British game I've played in a long time.
It's nice to look at but had all the depth surgically removed so as to not offend anyone while also trying to instill a sense of nostalgia. Meanwhile the mods and the dadpolice continually reinforce that complaining about the fact that there's a big black man fucking your wife in the back room would be terribly racist and that it's just okay as it is.
>my children will go hungry tonight
S-sorry the I need to feed my kids too.
>take multipart smuggling mission
>all parts are goods legal in end, beginning and path systems
Whats the point in it being marked and paying as a smuggling mission when Liquor and Personal Weapons are perfectly legal almost everywhere.
kremain is a system near lhs 3447. like 2 jumps in a sidey. also res sites are in the rings of planets like saturn. They only show up on the right panel where you see stations when you get nearish them.
Got a Hauler explorer with an ADS and a DSS, and 4.7 Mili to work with. What's my next step? Should I start working on a DBS/DBE, or an Asp Scout? Or wait until I can comfortably fit an Asp Explorer?
Elite isn't complicated or mentally taxing
The game just doesn't fucking explain anything properly.
I'd love to see someone play E:D without ever reading anything about it outside the game or talking to anyone about it
>finally find artefacts in this system
>there's like 8, I should probably grab them all incase I get this mission again
>scoop up the second artefact and a squadron of about 6 eagles and 2 sidewinders assault me
>figure I try to fight instead of run so I can get the artefacts again afterwards
>destroy the last enemy and look around
>million miles away from where I started
>go back to turn in the mission, can immediately do the next progression mission
>it's the same one
Welp, those extra artefacts could have come in handy...
>bounty hunting in HiRES with my space hind
>enemy anaconda on low HP
>boost ram straight through the motherfucker
Yeah X is much closer since it's all trade and station building (one of them even had stock trading!)
My dream game would be Elite's local flight and combat insider X's world, X absolutely demonstrates the depth elite lacks
Tragically it won't be fixed because of the mmo element and of frontier's determination to never let the player have real influence lest the game gets elite style megagroups shitting on everyone else
DBE soon tho
>muh large hardpoint
>muh jump range
See, I went to 17 Draconis and didnt see NEARLY this many donation options. I only had one.
Sat there a while refreshing the bulletin and nothing new, just requests for materials.
Am I just not high enough rank in explorer or trade?
Look at the date of the webm.
Obviously the mission count has been reduced in that time. I'm guessing people here are still shilling Draconis so they can farm their secret grind spot in peace.
My fuckin' nigga. Had one with C1 pulses and C2 multis, most fucking
funI had in this game. Kind of want to get a DBE and fit it with C2 pulses and a C3 multicannon for muh A10
Pretty similar to what I'm using and it's working out ok for me. I don't know if you need that many fuel tanks though. I just have the two 32T tanks and combined with a few quick passes of some of the stars throughout the trip whilst waiting for FSD cooldown it manages me fine. You could probably knock off the last 3 internal compartments at least but that's just my opinion.
How do you find dealing with pirates and sys auth?
Just evade and if that fails combat log before you get scanned or shot at?
This work? http://coriolis.io/outfit/asp/02D5D5A4D3D5D5C----------05f5022t---.Iw18QDKQ.Aw18WQ==
honestly the DBS is the best in its category
you can get better shields than the Viper with boosters, which you can actually mount because you have more U points, the same amount of dakka, better agility in a package that gets 420 armor with military armor
and you get 20+LY jump range even with full cargo hold
well worth the 500k over the Viper
I've made 2+million with it by bounty hunting in HiRES just today and at oen point even just held my own in a frontal engagement against a Clipper
I know the DBE turns less but dat large hardpoint tho
>we will never be able to use the fed dropship as its description describes
>Viper IV for anything
>DBS/DBE not in combat
Wouldn't mind if they came with all the features ready in addition to the promise of future support like actual mmo/always online game (i.e. diablo 3) expansions
Instead it just feels like you're paying for content patches to be continued with no real guarantee of what you're going to get.
Hilariously this is backfiring for them, at least in my case, I'm not getting Horizons at full price because I have no fucking idea what the expansion will actually contain when it's finished and the next one is released
Right now I don't give one shit about planetary landing so they've lost my sale by having no other major selling point
Pirates are an irritation, but generally a hell of a lot more preferable to security. System authority are an absolute ass. It's all scripted though so you can generally just guage it by what you see it the messages window. When I see red sys auth messages I ensure that I don't let them get behind me and try to jump out of that system as soon as possible. The safest thing to do is try to avoid interdiction at all costs, and if you ever see interdiction detected, kill the process. The second safest is to always submit to interdiction, then boost away and jump out, but doing that without sheilds can be a bit of a risk when it comes to pirates. Also sys auth like to drop in whilst pirates are attacking, which can cause them to literally spawn right in front of you and be completely unavoidable. A lot of it is up to preference, you might decide it's worth having a cheap sheild module for insurance against pirates, or you might be comfortable without one.
>tfw no ferrying passengers
>tfw no deploying troops in dropship
>tfw no campaign runs in Imperial Courier
>tfw no multicrewing in conda/corvette/cutter
>tfw no shuttle runs in Adder
holy shit, vision chart is updated itself
PRAISE THE VISION
>Courier as multirole
>DBS and DBX as multirole
>Cutter as multirole
Into the trash it goes.
Where does Robigo get all these slaves anyway. You'd think, being an isolated mining facility in deep space, that they'd need slaves transported to them, not the other way around, let alone such vast quantities of them. Is it some kind of breeding platform? And what's more, who is willing to pay 2-5 million credits for for simply trasporting a dozen or half dozen slaves? Considering that delivery would only be a small percentage of the actual sale price, that would mean each individual slave is worth as much as 10,000,000 Credits. Who is paying that much for slaves and what exactly is special about these slaves that they would be worth so much money?
I personally can only think of one kind of slave that anyone would pay so much for, and also one that would require such effort to conceal from the authorities.
The children are probably then sent to the cotton plantations of 17 Draconis, hence the food shortages
>chilling in my tradaconda hauling slaves
>packing c5 shields and 2 c3 g pulse
>lets blow up this guy and... wait thats a huge ship
>ITS A DANGEROUS CONDA
>ITS A MOTHERFUCKING CONDA WITH C4 PLASMA
>VERSUS C5 SHIELDS AND 300 TONNES OF SPACE NIGGERS
then boosted my out in a straight line, poor sod was screaming behind me as I jumped away DANGEROUS
Wait, if you die do you lose your bounty claims? I had completed like 4 90k bounties, but got jumped by idk what from behind, and got instagibbed in my eagle.
Checked contacts on fed station, no bounty claims.
Aren't screenshots from steam store and horizons trailer in general technically false advertising?
