>Can I make enough ISK to PLEX during the trial?
If you have to ask, you can't do it.
>I just started, what should I do?
Do the Opportunities then find the Career Agents & run all of their missions; they give you ISK, ships, skillbooks and teach you basics. Talk to players and try to find a corp. The game is only as boring as you are.

Depends. Do you have a bonus'd paint in your gang?
Yes -> heavies are great for alpha from a kite ship.
No. -> lol what are you doing. Get a newbro in a 5mn dual overdrive vigil
Kind of, they're the only good missile system that hits the size of ships they were meant for good.
IIRC, HAM's despite being a cruiser platform have the hardest time hitting other cruisers because they have poor explosion radius and explosion velocity, HML's are a little better but do literally jack shit DPS
The same goes with torps, unless its Torpedos from a Stealth Bomber, Torps in general have great DPS but such little of it actually gets applied to another ship that your DPS goes straight to hell, also they have extremely short range for some reason, a stealth bomber's torps can get out to 50+ IIRC but a battleship torpedo barely touches 30km. Most battleships that use missiles stop at cruiser missiles because cruise missiles hit really good and do good DPS as well, Rapid heavies are a new thing but only for battleships that need to shit on cruisers

You see my new ship? Yeah, I spent about 45 minutes building it from Lego's last night. I'm a pretty big deal.

Does anyone else hope their courier contract gets popped and they just collect collateral? If my shipment arrives to Jita, it will drive the prices of the product lower, but if it gets popped, everyone but the trucker wins.

I don't see how.
Shipment arrives: have to play some 0.01 isk wars in Jewta for a month, overall there is more product on the market so price will go down.
Shipment popped: I get money up front, time saved sitting in Jita doing 0.01 isk wars. The product never reaches market, keeping supply and prices stable.

Only scum with no friends hope that.
I always hope the courier makes it since all my couriers are friends of mine.
/eog/, what would you fit to a solo dominix? would you use a meme tank?
and yes, I am aware of
consider updating the program / downloading a new copy in order to pick up items that have been introduced since your version was installed.
also consider using evernus instead because it is considerably superior and doesn't require using elinor as an external program nor does it need to run a webserver to check your orders.
Coming back after a few years. Have a main with a broad and decent-to-good skillset apart from caps. Is there anything I could get involved with these days that could earn me 1-2 PLEX a month either semi-afk or with a relatively small time investment?
I used to keep two accounts afloat with station trading, but I see the price of PLEX has continued to rise so I'm not sure I could manage even one now. I'd be willing to throw my main into a full-fledged profit building activity even if it meant training up an alt for the random putzing around high, low and w-space I like to do.
with about 6b worth of orders i was seeing enough profit in region trading to plex. keep plowing your profits back in and finding more things to trade and profit grows pretty fast from there.
keep in mind that's like, off the cuff numbers from two months ago. don't take it as gospel. right now i'm still coasting on sub and reinvesting; i'm up to 12b.
Probably one of two things: set up region-wide (very low) buy orders and occasionally get it all hauled to a hub, profiting off of lazy people who can't be assed to haul stuff themselves, or comparing prices across region borders and profiting whenever a disparity shows up.
Both are pretty standard trading tactics.
buying in one place, hauling (or having someone else haul) to another place, and selling
use eve central or eve marketdata to find trades
use a hauling service to move goods
use a buying alt to buy things
the less you have to do yourself the faster you make money
this is of course just one strategy; going into more markets is an excellent way to increase profits when you don't feel like investing more money or training more skills
making dogola proud
Going into more (or just different) markets is also something I highly recommend to any traders just because parking yourself in Jita is a surefire way to get burnt out in no time, even without all the lag and bullshit that goes on in that system.
Other hubs, regions and strategies may be slower, but there's less competition, so you can do better with less skill, opportunities present themselves more clearly, and you may even wind up making MORE profit than if you operated exclusively in the biggest hubs.
Hell, some of the most successful traders operate exclusively by creating, manipulating and exploiting microhubs that form near fights, chokepoints and occupations. If someone's in the middle of a war, needs a tackle ship, and doesn't have one, they aren't going to look twice at what you're charging for a rifter and a scram if it's the only nearby option.

No I mean he is having a good time and I am jelly off him, I never seem to have a good time nowdays, its all market orders and shitty corp mates and waiting for content or searching for it ;-;
I like running frostlines in carebear nullsec. it amuses me because they're docked up afraid of me ratting. also most nullsec people don't understand what deadspace plexes are. just burn or mjd off, get tackled, watch as their fleet warps to them and lands hundreds of km away and can't do anything.
>your ship has variable-sweep wings for when entering warp tunnel and all the wind is blowing for maximum aerodynamic profile
On day 5 of my 21day trial, got 200m isk (Which I have made in the first 2 days) doing Defensive Plexing then I got kinda bored of staying afk. Did Career Agent Missions, Applied for Eve University. Dont know much about the game though
Is there a way for me to get that plex without doing D plexing? I got like 200m isk as i said. I can invest that into anything if I have any options. Also I dont know anything about Skill Training, doing it kinda random.
Help a bro out /eog/. Shoot me some suggestions
WE TOLD YOU SUGGESTIONS TWICE SENPAI
EXPLORE RELICS IN NULL OR WH SPACE
the thing about plexing your trial is you don't really get to change your mind halfway through because the time spent training skills is very precious and starting to do something else in the middle because you're bored is inefficient. going to plex with trade? start training trade skills and don't stop. going to explore? start training archeology and cloak and don't stop.
for you, now, on this account - if you followed the skills shown in the pasta for that catalyst you should be close to the damage needed for oplexing, which is faster money. if you are completely done with fw plexing, you still have time to train for null/wh relic/data exploration for this trial. pic related for key skills, link related for technique and ships: all-out.github.io/guides/exploration-relic-data
people say data and relic sites. for that you need to train probing skills, they're called astrometrics, and astrometric something. you'd need whatever the skills are to use analyzers, and probably cloaking and microwarpdrives. then you go fit up a cheap astrometrics frigate, leave all your valuables behind and go wormholing. I'm sure you can find guides. you can see some interesting places and there's no combat.
Be prepared to run from everything unless they can blob it, in my opinion as someone that kills them regularly, you won't learn how to PvP with them, just how to die and press F1.
Can't speak about non pvp stuff and eve uni.
Thanks for the help. You havent suggested this clear tho. All u said was exploration. I get it now though. Thanks!
So data and relic site exploration has no combat? Sounds good to me since im a total newb and I have a high probability of getting blown up if I were to engage in fights.
Have done probe searching stuff. Its kinda fun.
The question tho, exploring in null or wh is dangerous because there is a great chance of getting ganked right? The danger isnt because of the strong npc's to fight.
>the danger isnt because of the strong npcs
correct (second paragraph of linked guide)
if you have 200m liquid already, you can afford to lose forty (40) t1 exploration frigates. that's a lot of frigates. before you lose 40 frigates, you are almost surely going to make it back safely with at least some loot from at least some of your trips. the reward is completely worth the risk.
your skill queue is empty king
fix it, i'm being heavily triggered
i suggest Advanced Weapons Upgrades for a gentlemen with taste such as yourself
join all-out, etc. tfw can't post the guide to newbie corps pic because my opinions on karmafleet have changed and i'm not happy with their blurb any more.
>doing serpentis 5/10 in lowsec

I've left "Federation Defense Union" because I joined a corp and they were at war with Gallente Federation (I'm Gallenten). I left the corp anyways, didnt wanna betray my fed.. but I got like 100k Loyalty Points stored there even tho im not a part of the Federal Defense Union. How can I find their LP Npc stores? I wanna spend my saved LP's

At-least I still have all my high-sp characters
literally everyone you ignorant kiwi prick
What would their bonuses be?
Im not elitist at all. I actually like the fact that im a new player again. I hope one day we can be friends anon.

Seriously what Minmatar ships are good, their frigs dessies and a couple of battleships, anything else?
Im a newb trying to do Wormhole exploration. Im checking the name of the data and relic sites as I scan them but most of em have npc enemies in them. Are they too hard for a newb to kill?
Uhhh, if you can fly a cruiser C1s might be doable
Unsure though honestly and I wouldn't bother
Look for rat faction (blood raiders, angel, guiristas and serpentis) and ignore sleeper sites for now
>Have the desire to play, but not actually do anything
>Just stay subbed and play skillqueue online
At least /eog/ hasn't changed in the months I've been gone. I really need to find the motivation to play the game though.
Maybe I'll just start doing missions and afk while I do other shit. Would need a second monitor for that though
There are 6 npc factions in EVE that you are freely allowed to engage
When referring to them people generally use the term rat and reserve the term pirate for a player controlled pilot that act as a pirate/bandit.
You want to look for non sleeper sites, every other faction always has their name in the site as far as I remember, and they will not have any rats in them.
So I have a bounty on me thx to a /v/ BRO. He placed 55m on me after me saying that I had my first exploration run and made 55m on Wormhole Sites.
Wat do? Keep doin exploration or getting myself killed in my capsule till there is no bounty left?
all it does it give you a cool wanted sign and give the person that placed the bounty a mail and notification everytime you die, nobody actually goes out of their way to kill people with bounties, its a useless feature.
btw it was probably me famshamilam
>getting myself killed in my capsule till there is no bounty left?
the bounty payment depends on the cost of your ship, so unless you lose an *somewhat* expensive ship it will take many many many deaths to get rid of it.
The stabber is great at murder-zoning bad pilots in T3D's
Then post name because I want to add another 50mil now.
Professional bounty hunter here. You better watch your back, criminal scum.
since eve is a game about shitposting and chestbeating, placing a bounty does kind of reveal that you're butthurt. I don't think they'll ever serve a huge purpose, since people kill each other for fun. making it very slightly less expensive to kill people isn't ever going to come into play imo. the old system was fucking terrible though
one thing I would like is if you could make a sort of bounty contract, where you can specify who can complete it, who the target is, what ship or implants or isk value they need to lose. I would still never use it though, and I expect nobody else would.
>new system is literally pointless
>b-but the old system where you could scam was absolutely terrible omg it was so bad when you could claim bounties yourself omg
fucking kill yourself faggot the new system is the worst system anyone could ever design. CCP should give a ted talk on how to make bounty hunting the most boring piece of shit ever.
>one thing I would like is if you could make a sort of bounty contract, where you can specify who can complete it, who the target is, what ship or implants or isk value they need to lose. I would still never use it though, and I expect nobody else would.
Merc and greifing corps exist
Is there a beginner's guide or something for this game?
I've tried before I gave up after it took about 6 hours for me to finally learn in a training mission I had to go to a wormhole or something to get an instanced area that was unique for my character's mission.
Anytime I tried searching for a guide, I'd mostly get either optimization guides to do something (PVP, minning, etc) or else it seems like it was outdated and talking about things in the system that weren't there
So when are those armor apparel models coming out?
I would very much like to buy them
Your character looks like fucking Doris from Shrek
I remember when I first started playing following his videos to the letter. Great for the absolute basics and eves rather unintuitive UI. From the looks of it he re did the videos around 2014 so should be pretty up to date.
Although I did pick the most degenerate character in my insistence in following the videos (tfw Gallente - immigrants - immigrants)
Are you talking about these, cutie?
No release date yet.
Yeah, that's exactly what I was talking about.
I thought it would be a frostline thing, but now I'm thinking it will coincide with the Valkyrie release, as I imagine those suits have something to do with it.
Whoever's manipulating the Ward Console's price and bought off all the sell order under 88k (while the real price being 7k)
Fucking thanks f@m my stockpile of rigs just sold for +60% profit
>mfw beam punisher
>20 minutes of cap
>Implying it hasn't already happened
i read that you can ask CCP to check and see if you had any subscription time where you weren't training a skill and missed out on SP and then get that amount of SP refunded back to you
anyone have success with that?
>Linked, faction frigate online
>being salty over people saying cancerous shit is bad
probably some boring european fuck that never logs in
>wanting the burden of leadership to stifle his lust for pvp
>tfw you will never be fettered down with a choke pear in your ass
>tfw Jamyl will never slowly turn the key, expanding your anus to the point the she can stick her arm throgh it
>tfw you will never feel her slowly remove it only to suddenly insert a basketball through your anus and fully inflate it
When is frostline ending?
>Additionally, it is generally true that something being overpowered with a group of friends is a significantly different issue than something being overpowered solo (like T3Ds) or soloish (like alt offgrid links).
jesus fucking christ first time I go read the forums since I resubbed and this is what I get. Now I remember why I quit in the first place.
>ganker warps in
>accidentally sent out salvage
>forgot to align
>tell drones to engage
>didn't lock target
>turn off safety
>Salvager drone could not find suitable salvage
>send out combat drones
>ganker kills drones
>sit there for 2 minutes, helpless to do anything but watch him slowly kill me
>gank unlocks, unscrams
local : out of ammo you lucky fuck
B-But I poop from there.
>When is frostline ending?
I don't think they've given a specific date. The Frostline banner just says "Operation: Frostline Ending, last days to raid are here". I thought it was going to end today.
eve uni atm, but brave is rebuilding in facwar so they are not a bad choice.
just remember brave collective does not equal brave newbies inc. dont join brave collective they are biggest shit it in the game haha. brave newbies inc is fine however
I'm a player who's returning to EVE after a year-long hiatus. When I was active, most people wouldn't bother with data exploration sites because Relic sites had considerably better loot. Is this still true today or should I start packing a data-hacker?
>Amarr Cruiser bonuses (per skill level):
>10% reduction in Medium Energy Turret activation cost
>5% bonus to Medium Energy Turret rate of fire
Is it possible to solo C3 sites in a Tengu?
>Camping in plexes, get blobbed
Hey, local just spiked 50+ people, let's pretend to be afk and hope they don't warp to us :^)
>Go in, either the enemy runs away or three of his friends uncloak
The solo guy saw local spike 6 people and ran away from the gank, what a noob, but 8 people in local, 4 in the same corp, and nobody docked means that the maller in the medium is a good solo kill! :^)
>Blueballing or getting blueballed by bigger blobs
None of the afb frigs want to fight my orthus and feed me free killmails. this pvp is stupid :(
This, low skilled / inexperienced lowsec faggots buy faction everything and chestbeat about killing anything. Lowsec devoters, sabres, garmurs etc don't even feel like good kills when your gang gets them because they usually derp tactically so it's just an expensive loss by a fuckwit not a gf or a win.
Stop buying faction and t2 to make up for your shit aids and fail. If you want pvp fly around in t2 or bling t1 hulls and see how attractive you are.
>This, low skilled / inexperienced lowsec faggots buy faction everything and chestbeat about killing anything. Butthert lowsec faggot in iWin ship detected captain.
